Abstract: | A stabilized, cell-free amino acid-incorporating system from mouse liver has been studied. For maximum incorporation magnesium ions, a large amount of glutathione, guanosine triphosphate, potassium ions, adenosine triphosphate, and an energy-generating system are required. The limiting factor in the incorporation appears to be the number of amino acid sites available on the particles. No release of acid-insoluble radioactivity from the particles was observed. |
