Abstract: | ![]() The effect of N -phenyl- N '-1,2,3,-thidiazol-5-ylurea (thidiazuron, Dropp, SN 49537) on abscisic acid (ABA) level in apple ( Malus domestica Borkh. cv. York Imperial) buds associated with bud break and bud development was determined. The data showed that increased ABA content in apple buds was associated with thidiazuron-induced bud break and bud development. ABA stimulated growth of apple buds that had emerged from dormancy by thidiazuron treatment. The ABA in apple buds was confirmed by GC-EIMS and GC-CIMS. |
