| Abstract: | Natriuretic peptides(B-type natriuretic peptide(BNP) and N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide(NT-pro-BNP))are reliable tools for establishing prognosis and evaluating the effectiveness of treatment of acutely heart failure.The addition of BNP and NT-proBNP to usual clinical decision making enhances detection of high-risk patients who need aggressive follow-up and adjustment of treatment.we present an overview of the value of natriuretic peptides in the context of acute heart failure prognosis and treatment therapy optimization. |
