| Abstract: | Investigations on dogs show that substance P suppresses pentagastrin gastric acid secretion. This effect is abolished by acetylcholinesterase block by calimin. The results indicate that pentagastrin and substance P participate in cholinergic regulation of gastric acid secretion. |
