Abstract: | Seasonal and vertical distribution of temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, free CO2, alkalinity, nitrate, phosphate and phytoplankton have been studied at the deepest point of the Lower Lake, Bhopal from September 1979 to August 1981. Stratification was noticed in almost all the parameters. Bottom was frequently anoxic. The dominant groups among phytoplankton were Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae and Bacillariophyceae. |
