| Abstract: | Cisplatin (cis-diamminedichloroplatinum II) at the concentrations of 2-20 micrograms induces non-enzymatic peroxidation of pig platelet lipids. At low concentration (0.1 microgram) it inhibits the enzymatic thrombin-stimulated transformation of platelet endogenous arachidonic acid. This drug also reduces the activities of platelet enzymes: superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase. |
