| Abstract: | We report a reaction of direct electrophilic fluorination of phenolsulfonphthalein at mild conditions. This reaction affords the synthesis of novel positron-emitting 18F-labeled pH indicators. These compounds are useful for non-invasive in vivo pH measurement in biological objects. |
