Abstract: | Dentalium antiquum is one of two moderately well-known Devonian “scaphopods” in the German literature. Examination of the type material and a few specimens in other institutions indicates more individual variability than is to be expected in species of the molluscan class Scaphopoda. The species is transferred with question toColeolus Hall, a fossil presumed to be a calcareous “worm” tube. |
