A NEW PALEOCENE BIRD FROM ANHUI, CHINA |

| Abstract: | In 1991, a fossil brid represented by three bones of the same individual was obtained by Prof. Li Chuankui from Qianshan Distrift, Anhui Province. This discovery documents the first record of Rallidae from the Paleocene of China. Described below, the newly discove specimen repersents a new genus and species. |
