目的:分析可吸收螺钉内固定治疗多发性肋骨骨折的临床疗效。方法:选择2013年10月-2015年10月在我院接受治疗的多发性肋骨骨折患者89例作为研究对象,根据内固定材料不同将患者分为研究组和对照组。研究组45例患者采用可吸收肋骨钉内固定治疗,对照组44例患者采用记忆合金接骨板内固定治疗。观察并比较两组患者的临床疗效及术后并发症的发生情况。结果:与对照组比较,研究组患者术中出血量少,术后胸痛缓解时间以及下床活动时间较早,差异均具有统计学意义(P0.05);两组患者的手术时间、术后引流时间、住院时间比较,差异均无统计学意义(P0.05);研究组患者并发症的发生率(6.67%)明显低于对照组(20.45%),差异具有统计学意义(P0.05)。结论:可吸收肋骨钉内固定治疗多发性肋骨骨折具有术中出血量少、术后胸痛缓解时间和下床活动时间快的特点,可作为临床治疗首选材料。  相似文献

Bone histology is an important tool for uncovering life history traits of extinct animals, particularly those that lack modern analogs, such as the non-avian dinosaurs. In most studies, histological analyses preferentially focus on long bones for understanding growth rates and determining age. Here we show, by analyzing ornithischians (a stegosaur and an ornithopod), saurischians (a sauropod and a theropod), and a crocodile, rib histology is a suitable alternative. The estimated age for all sampled taxa ranges between 14 to 17 years for Lourinhanosaurus antunesi and 27 to 31 years estimated for Draconyx loureiroi. The theropod Baryonyx was skeletally mature around 23–25 years of age but showed unfused neurocentral sutures, a paedomorphic feature possibly related to aquatic locomotion. Our results show that ribs can contain a nearly complete growth record, and reveal important information about individual age, point of sexual maturity, and, in some cases, sex. Because ribs are more available than long bones, this method opens new possibilities for studying rare and incomplete fossils, including holotypes.  相似文献

In the development of the somite, signals from neighboring tissues have been suggested to play critical roles. We have found that when interaction between the ectoderm and the somite is blocked by inserting a piece of polyethylene terephatalate film between them in 2-day-chicken embryo, one of the derivatives of somite, the distal rib, did not form. We examined somite development after the operation, to know the correlation between somite development and distal rib formation. In the operated embryo, the dermomyotome was medio-laterally shorter than in the normal embryo, and Pax3 and Sim1 expressions that are seen in the lateral part of normal dermomyotomes were not found, suggesting that the lateral part of the dermomyotome was missing. Although the sclerotome appeared to be normal in its histology and Pax1 expression pattern in the operated embryo, we could not detect the expression of either Scleraxis nor γ-FBP that are expressed in the cells around the boundaries between the adjacent dermomyotomes in normal embryos. Thus, under the influence of surface ectoderm, the lateral part of dermomyotome and/or the mesenchyme around rostral and caudal edges of dermomyotomes are suggested to play an important role in the distal rib development.  相似文献

The pygmy right whale, Caperea marginata, is a rare mysticete cetacean with an unusual suite of axial skeletal characters. Distally expanded first ribs, a long thorax with broadly overlapping vertebral transverse processes, plate‐like posterior ribs, and a short tail contrast with other cetaceans and suggest unique developmental patterning. Twenty‐four individuals of diverse ontogenetic age were available for analysis. Multiple, variable examples of incomplete rib fusion in dependent calves indicate that the first rib of adults is an ontogenetic fusion product of ribs 1 and 2. The composite rib articulates by way of its anterior (Rib1) component to the sternum and by way of its posterior (Rib2) component with thoracic vertebra 2. Thoracic vertebra 1 lacks rib articulations. When rib fusion is taken into account, the most frequent column formulas are C7T18L1Cd16–17 = 42–43 and C7T17L1Cd16–18 = 41–43. Thoracic and lumbar series are not reciprocal in count, arguing against their developmental linkage. Instead, parallel reduction in both lumbar and caudal counts supports the existence of neocete patterning in Caperea, as in all other living cetaceans. Ontogenetic vertebral column elongation is most marked in the posterior thorax, lumbos, and anterior tail. Vertebrae in these column regions are excellent predictors of total body length.  相似文献

The histology of cervical ribs of Sauropoda reveals a primary bone tissue, which largely consists of longitudinally oriented mineralized collagen fibres, essentially the same tissue as found in ossified tendons. The absence of regular periosteal bone and the dominance of longitudinal fibres contradict the ventral bracing hypothesis (VBH) postulated for sauropod necks. The VBH predicts histologically primary periosteal bone with fibres oriented perpendicular to the rib long axis, indicative of connective tissue between overlapping hyperelongated cervical ribs. The transformation of the cervical ribs into ossified tendons makes the neck more flexible and implies that tension forces acted mainly along the length of the neck. This is contrary to the VBH, which requires compressive forces along the neck. Tension forces would allow important neck muscles to shift back to the trunk region, making the neck much lighter.  相似文献

Supernumerary ribs (SNR) of differing sizes are commonly observed in rodent developmental toxicity studies, and the significance of treatment-related increases in SNR in standard studies has been contentious. We induced dose-related increases in SNR in fetal CD-1 mice by treating on gestation days 7-8 with benomyl (BEN; 0, 75, 150 mg/kg/d), dinoseb (DIN; 0, 30, 50 mg/kg/d); 2-methoxyethanol (2-ME; 0, 75, 150 mg/kg/d), or valproic acid (VPA; 0, 125, 250 mg/kg/d). Incidences of SNR were 9.3-27.6% in controls and 19.3-84.4% in the high dosage groups. SNR length showed a bimodal distribution with peaks at 0.3-0.4 mm and 0.9-1.1 mm in both treated and control groups. Based on length distributions, we used an actual length of 0.6 mm to separate short (rudimentary) from long (extra) SNR. DIN, 2-ME, and VPA induced a dose-related increase of extra ribs, while the incidence of rudimentary ribs remained at control levels. There was no apparent correlation of the presence of either type of SNR in a fetus and the occurrence of other anomalies. These data support the idea that extra and rudimentary SNR may reflect separate developmental phenomena, and should be considered and reported separately in developmental toxicity studies for risk assessment.  相似文献

Mature adult mice of the C57BL/6-TgN(Amy1TAg)501Knw transgenic mouse lineage, 501, containing a liver -amylase promoted-SV40 Tag hybrid gene, routinely develop SV40 Tag-induced metastatic osteosarcomas. This form of -amylase was known to be expressed in the liver, salivary glands, pancreas, and fat. Cells in the normal rib adjacent to the periosteum also express -amylase suggesting that transgene expression is correctly targeted to generate osteosarcomas. 501 mice express SV40 Tag in the salivary glands but do not develop abnormalities in these organs by the time of their death from SV40-induced osteosarcomas. Mice of the C57BL/6 strain make a strong and effective anti-tumor immune response to SV40 Tag immunization. However, immunization of 501 mice with SV40 Tag early in life does not alter or prevent SV40 Tag-induced osteosarcomagenesis. 501 mice mount a significantly less effective cytotoxic T-lymphocyte response following SV40 Tag immunization while 501 osteosarcoma-derived cells are fully susceptible to SV40 Tag-specific T-cell lysis. This suggests that partial tolerance, not loss of antigen presentation by tumor cells, characterizes this mouse model of endogenous bone tumor development. To determine whether the immune recognition of endogenous SV40 Tag could influence tumorigenesis, the metastatic potential and time of death from tumor was investigated in CD4-null mutant 501 mice and -2 microglobulin-null mutant 501 mice. The size and number of metastases in these strains and longevity of these strains varied. We suggest that components of both the innate and adaptive immune response control tumor appearance and progression.  相似文献

‘Umbonal sculptures’ of freshwater mussels (Unionida), which ornament the early ontogenetic shell, have long been used for species identification. Specificity of these sculptures to higher taxonomic levels and their value for phylogenetic reconstruction are still under considerable scientific debate. In particular, the distribution of beak sculpture morphotypes across the unionoid phylogeny and, consequently, evolution of this character remain poorly understood. Based on an examination of 187 taxa, covering five of the six extant unionoid families, this study presents a new model of character evolution of umbonal sculptures in the order. Ten morphotypes were recognized and conceptualized into the cladistic characters sculpture presence and category. Optimization of sculpture presence on two recent hypotheses of palaeoheterodont phylogenetic relationships using the program Mesquite indicates a sculptured common ancestor of the extant Unionida, with multiple losses of the umbonal ornament occurring subsequently within the clade. Reconstruction of changes in sculpture category is ambiguous and demonstrates the need for further research into the evolutionary relationships of freshwater mussels in general and of their early ontogenetic sculptures in particular. Ambiguity is reduced in analyses applying a model with unequal costs of transformation between character states, which was derived from observations on intermediate forms and polymorphisms. These analyses suggest ‘V‐shaped’ or ‘nodulous’ sculpture as the plesiomorphic sculptural category for Unionida. The relatively low levels of homoplasy inferred for V‐shaped, pseudo‐radial and double‐looped sculptures suggest that these types may comprise useful guides to relationships within Unionida. The high degree of homoplasy of W‐shaped, pseudo‐concentric, wrinkled and single‐looped sculptures, on the other hand, renders these sculpture types less fit for such purposes.  相似文献
