Langaside (1), a secoiridoid lactone glucoside possessing a novel skeleton formed by a [2 + 2] cycloaddition reaction between the secoiridolactone glucoside, 1,9-trans-9,5-cis-sweroside, and p-coumaric acid was isolated from the fruits and flowers of the Malagasy Tachiadenus longiflorus Griseb. (Gentianaceae), alongside another seven known compounds. The structure of langaside was established using HRESIMS, IR and NMR spectroscopy and comparison of experimental and calculated electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectra. Langaside was screened for its neuritogenic activity against SHSY-5Y cells and anticancer activity against the NCI59 human tumour cell panel but not found to be active. 相似文献

Secoiridoid glycosides are naturally occurring phytochemicals of great importance for the food and pharmaceutical industry because of their various biological activities. Certain Gentiana and Centaurium species, which are recognized as the most important sources of these compounds, have become critically endangered due to overexploitation. In this study we describe a laboratory-scale approach for further implementation in large-scale production of secoiridoid glycosides, using a hairy root culture system of Centaurium maritimum L. Fritch, an underutilized and phytochemically unexplored species. Hairy roots were induced by Agrobacterium rhizogenes strain A40M70GUS and grown in Erlenmeyer flasks, as well as in RITA® temporary immersion bioreactors (TIBs). About 2–4 times higher biomass production rate and up to 8 times higher total secoiridoid glycosides production rate were achieved in RITA® bioreactors. Among the selected hairy root lines, line HR3 cultured in RITA® TIBs proved to be the most efficient considering both biomass and secoiridoid glycosides production rate. 相似文献

Contents of four iridoid glycosides viz. gentiopicroside, longanic acid, swertiamarin and sweroside of wild and
cultivated Gentiana straminea roots gathered in different seasons were analyzed by means of HPLC determination. The results
indicated that contents of the four iridoid glycosides varied greatly with different seasons between wild and cultivated
Gentiana straminea. And according to the criterion of pharmacopoeia of China, after cultivation content of gentiopicroside
in Gentiana str aminea root had accorded with the regulation and can preliminarily replaced the wild species to use as a
plant medicine. The mechanism causing the content changes of the four iridoid glycosides may be due to the integrated effects
of many factors, such as the ecological factors, the genetic factors. 相似文献
