CMP-N-acetylneuraminic acid: glycoprotein sialyltransferase activities were assayed in microsomal fractions from chicken liver and hepatoma, induced by the leukosis virus strain Mc-29, using asialofetuin as the substrate acceptor of N-acetylneuraminic acid. The effect of some nucleotides and metal ions on the enzyme activity was investigated. Kinetic studies revealed that the Km values toward asialofetuin at a saturation concentrations of CMP-N-acetylneuraminic acid for both liver and hepatoma enzymes are very closed, while V value was lower for the tumor enzyme. The liver and hepatoma enzymes have no exogenous Mn cations requirement and are inhibited by CTP, CMP and ATP. CMP was shown to act as a competitive inhibitor with an apparent Ki of 0.24 mM for the liver and 0.16 mM for hepatoma enzyme, respectively.  相似文献

A microwave coaxial plasmatron (microwave torch) is used as a plasmachemical converter of methane into hydrogen and hydrocarbons. The measured energy cost of methane decomposition is close to its minimum theoretical value. Such a low energy cost is unsurpassed for reactors operating at atmospheric pressure. A model of the plasmachemical converter is constructed. The results of calculations in the frame-work of this model agree well with experimental data.  相似文献

The antigen-specific method for the determination of specific immune complexes in the blood serum of patients with acute Sonne dysentery has been developed on the basis of the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay with the use of reagents manufactured in the USSR. The possibility of the early prognostication of prolonged carrier state by using the proposed method for the determination of the level of specific circulating immune complexes has been shown.  相似文献

Glucose oxidase and peroxidase were immobilized individually to a urea derivative of granulated microcrystallized cellulose activated by formaldehyde. The catalytic properties of the immobilized enzymes were studied and compared to those of the soluble enzymes. The immobilized glucose oxidase and peroxidase were used for the manual determination of the concentration of glucose in sera. The developed method is characterized by high analytical reliability and comparatively low cost. The results correlated well with those obtained by using a BECKMAN glucoanalyzer, utilizing soluble glucose oxidase.  相似文献

Among the enterobacterial strains under study, more organisms in the stationary phase of growth have been found to have nicks in their DNA than those in the exponential phase. Bacteria less sensitive to ultraviolet irradiation have the least number of nicks in each phase of growth. The number of nicks in different strains belonging to the serovar is sufficiently stable. The brain temperature, at which the cessation of the lung respiration occurs in the cooled animals, can be named the lower temperature limit of the brain functional competence, since at this temperature the spontaneous respiration is not restored on its own, and without special artificial undertakings the animals perish. In this study upon the total cooling of the rat bodies their lung respiration stopped completely as the temperature of the medulla oblongata in the region of the respiratory center decreased to 18.18 +/- 0.17 degrees C. This occurred simultaneously with an abrupt decrease in the heart rate and in the arterial blood pressure (AP) to 42 +/- 1 mm Hg. Upon an isolated cooling of the rat head the heart rate and AP were maintained at a comparatively high level. Under such conditions the lung respiration did not stop even as the temperature of the medulla oblongata decreased to 17.23 +/- 0.25 degrees C. It retained rhythmicallity, a particular rate, and a comparatively high amplitude. It is suggested that an intensive blood supply of the cooled brain decreases the lower temperature limit of its vital activity.  相似文献
