The influence of colonization of sugar beet (Beta vulgaris var. saccharifera (Alef) Krass) and white cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata L.) plants by methylotrophic bacteria Methylovorus mays on the growth, rooting, and plant resistance to phytopathogen bacteria Erwinia carotovora was investigated. The colonization by methylobacteria led to their steady association with the plants which had increased growth speed, root formation and photosynthetic activity. The colonized plants had increased resistance to Erwinia carotovora phytopathogen and were better adapted to greenhouse conditions. The obtained results showed the perspectives for the practical implementation of methylobacteria in the ecologically clean microbiology substances used as the plant growth stimulators and for the plant protection from pathogens.  相似文献

Transgenic plants of camelina (Camelina sativa (L.) Crantz) with the synthetic gene of antimicrobial peptide cecropin P1 (cecP1) were obtained. Agrobacterium-mediated transformation is performed using the binary vector pGA482::cecP1 by vacuum infiltration of flower buds. The presence of the cecP1 gene in the genome of plants was confirmed by PCR. CecP1 gene expression in transgenic plants was shown by Western blot analysis and by antimicrobial activity of plant extracts against the bacterial phytopathogene Erwinia carotovora. The plants of F0 and F1 generations had the normal phenotype and retained the ability to form viable seeds in self-pollination. cecP1 plants exhibit enhanced resistance to bacterial and fungal phytopathogens: Erwinia carotovora and Fusarium sporotrichioides. The increased sustainability of cecropin P1-expressing plants against salt stress is shown. The possibility of the integration of the cecP1 gene into the overall protective system of plants against biotic and abiotic stresses is discussed.  相似文献

Transgenic kalanchoe plants (Kalanchoe pinnata L.) expressing the antimicrobial peptide cecropin P1 gene (cecP1) under the control of the 35S cauliflower mosaic virus 35S RNA promoter and the selective neomycin phosphotransferase II (nptII) gene under the control of the nopaline synthase gene promoter were studied. The 35S promoter methylation and the cecropin P1 biosynthesis levels were compared in plants growing on media with and without kanamycin. The low level of active 35S promoter methylation further decreases upon cultivation on kanamycin-containing medium, while cecropin P1 synthesis increases.  相似文献

The study deals with a comparative analysis of the relative abundances of the carbon isotopes 12C and 13C in the metabolites and biomass of the Burkholderia sp. BS3702 and Pseudomonas putida BS202-p strains capable of utilizing aliphatic (n-hexadecane) and aromatic (naphthalene) hydrocarbons as sources of carbon and energy. The isotope composition of the carbon dioxide, biomass, and exometabolites produced during the growth of Burkholderia sp. BS3702 on n-hexadecane (delta 13C = -44.6 +/- 0.2@1000) were characterized by the isotope effects delta 13CCO2 = -50.2 +/- 0.4@1000, delta 13Cbiom = -46.6 +/- 0.4@1000 and delta 13Cexo = -41.5 +/- 0.4@1000, respectively. The isotope composition of the carbon dioxide, biomass, and exometabolites produced during the growth of the same bacterial strain on naphthalene (delta 13C = -21 +/- 0.4@1000) were characterized by the isotope effects delta 13CCO2 = -24.1 +/- 0.4@1000, delta 13Cbiom = -19.2 +/- 0.4@1000 and delta 13Cexo = -19.1 +/- 0.4@1000, respectively. The possibility of using the isotope composition of metabolic carbon dioxide for the rapid monitoring of the microbial degradation of petroleum hydrocarbons in the enviroment is discussed.  相似文献

We studied the capacity of rabbit oocytes for electrofusion with morula blastomeres and fetal fibroblasts. The morula blastomeres fused with aging ooplasts more readily than the fetal fibroblasts: 92.9 versus 63.0%, p < 0.001. The fetal fibroblasts fused with young enucleated oocytes more efficiently than with the aging ones: 98.4 versus 63.0%, p < 0.001. Serum starvation of the fetal fibroblasts in DMEM medium for 7-14 days reduced their capacity for fusion with young ooplasts, as compared to that after starvation for 0-4 days: 67.2 versus 98.9%, p < 0.01). The increased time of "starvation" in an "impoverished" medium reduced the capacity of fetal fibroblasts with aging ooplasts as compared to the fibroblasts cultivated in the full medium and in the "impoverished" medium for one or two days: 64.5 versus 37.4%, p < 0.01. Hence, the efficiency of the fusion of the oocytes with nuclear donor cells depends on the age of the recipient oocyte, the origin of nuclear donor cells, and the conditions of cultivation.  相似文献
