The influence of Mn on saturation curves of ESR spectra of Ph(-) and P(+)(680) at 1-200K in samples with different content of Mn has been studied. An analysis of these data and those on photoinduced changes of fluorescence yield of chlorophyll leads to the conclusion that the Mn-containing centre in Photosystem 2 is a cluster of 4 Mn atoms, two of which can be replaced by Mg(2+) or any other divalent metal. The authors present the elaborated and formed epidemiological theory ("conformity theory") according to which the etiological structure of dysentery is determined by the etiological selectivity of the main (primary) waves of transmission of the infection differing in various nosological forms of dysentery. In Grigoriev-Shiga dysentery the domestic way of the spread of infection plays the main role, in Flexner and Newcastle dysentery--the water way, and in Sonne dysentery--the food way (particularly through the milk). Evolution of the etiological structure of dysentery serves as the reflection of evolution of the principal ways of transmission. The complex of prophylactic and antiepidemic measures in individual noslogical forms of dysentery should be differentiated and be directed in epidemiological sense to the neutralization of the corresponding main (primary) way of transmission of the infection. 相似文献

The comparative study of the amino acid sequence of gp120 in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) strains HTLV-III and ARV-2 and the amino end areas of the growth hormone receptors of human skin and the insulin receptors has been carried out, thus making it possible to predict the existence of two compact domains connected with an area of a peptide chain. This area is incapable of the formation of a compact globular structure due to a high content of the remnants of proline. The data obtained as the result of electron microscopic study in combination with image processing have confirmed the predicted three-dimensional structure of gp120. This study has also shown that the amino acid sequence of some regions in the domains of gp120 has a significant degree of homology with similarly located regions of the growth hormone and insulin receptors; in its turn, this amino acid sequence is homologous to the framework regions of the VH domain of immunoglobulin. Antibodies to this VH domain specifically react with recombinant HTLV-III antigen. On the basis of the data obtained in our experiments and from the analysis clinico-immunological information, we have come to the conclusion that AIDS is an autoimmune disease induced by HIV due to the structural homology of gp120 with highly important receptors of human cells. 相似文献

Fourteen elite sorghum lines were evaluated for their resistance to Striga hermonthica at three locations in Nigeria and Mali. Results showed that many of the lines especially MALISOR 84-1, SAMSORG 41, 97-SB-F5DT-64 (Keninkédié) and the check SRN 39 remained resistant to Striga in all locations with low emerged Striga counts, while SAMSORG 14 had the highest Striga infestation in all locations. Considerable variation in reaction to Striga infestation was observed on Séguètana, 97-SB-F5DT-63 (Wasa), 97-SB-F5DT-65, CMDT 38, CMDT 39 and CMDT 45 which were susceptible to Striga at Samaru, Nigeria but were resistant to Striga at both locations in Mali. Based on low Striga resistance and high grain yield, lines MALISOR 84-1, SAMSORG 41, 97-SB-F5DT-64, 97-SB-F5DT-65, CMDT 39 and SAMSORT 14 have been nominated for wider evaluation across more West African countries. 相似文献
