Particleboard panels were made from various wood particle/needle litter of Scotch pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) mixtures bonded with urea formaldehyde resin. Litter was characterized by having higher solubility's in alcohol-benzene, with diluting alkali and hot water, and resulted in lower pH values than those of wood particles. The mechanical properties (modulus of rupture, modulus of elasticity, and internal bond strength) of boards containing up to 6.25% litter were lower than those of panels made from wood particles. However, needle litter usage improved the physical property (thickness swelling) and decay resistance of the panels, significantly. Panels consist of 6.25% and 12.50% needle litter met the minimum EN standard requirements of mechanical properties for general-purposes. Particleboards contain more than 50% needle litter had the required level of thickness swelling for 24 h immersion.  相似文献

Due to its high nutritional value, chickpea is one of the most important and cost-effective legumes for human diet. Nutrient elements, such as Cu, P, K have numerous essential functions for the human metabolism. In this study, association mapping of loci linked to the seed Cu, P and K concentrations were performed on a population consisting of 107 Cicer reticulatum and 73 Cicer arietinum individuals in four environments (two locations x two years). A total of 121,840 SNPs were genotyped across 180 individuals by GBS analysis. The association mapping between the SNP markers and the seed Cu, P, K concentrations were identified and eight SNPs were found to be significantly associated with variations in three nutrient elements in more than two environments This research suggests that association mapping is a useful methodology for the identification of loci controlling the Cu, P and K uptake in chickpea seeds for further association mapping, molecular breeding, and marker-assisted selection and plant breeding studies and provides a broader understanding of the relationship between the investigated Cicer species and the effects of environmental conditions.  相似文献

Rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss were immunised by intra-peritoneal injection using a live vaccine based on Ichthyophthirius multifiliis (Ich) theronts, which previously has shown protection against white spot disease. Samples were taken pre-vaccination and on Day 1, 7, 21 and 28 post-immunisation (p.i.). Expression of immune relevant genes in the liver, spleen and head kidney was monitored by qPCR. To describe the immune reaction following this immunisation, a series of genes encoding cytokines, complement factors, immunoglobulins and acute phase reactants were studied. Genes encoding acute phase reactants in the liver were up-regulated with serum amyloid A (SAA) as the most pronounced with a 2299-fold increase at 24 h p.i. Hepcidin and pre-cerebellin were also up-regulated in the liver 24 h p.i., by 7- and 4-fold, respectively. Complement factors C3, C5 and factor B (Bf) were up-regulated in the spleen and the head kidney 24 h and 28 d p.i. Genes encoding immunoglobulins were not up-regulated, but a specific low titer IgM response (titer 25) against parasite antigens was detected by a modified ELISA 4 wk p.i.  相似文献

The mechanical, physical properties and decay resistances of particleboard made from particles impregnated with Pinus brutia bark extractives were examined. Properties included were modulus of rupture, modulus of elasticity, internal bond, thickness swelling, and weight loss according to European standards. The results showed that particleboards made from particles impregnated with bark extractives had significantly lower mechanical values than those made from unimpregnated particles. Impregnating wood particles with bark extractives improved the decay resistance and thickness swelling of particleboard. Increasing concentration of the extractives decreased the mechanical properties and improved the thickness swelling and decay resistance of the panels. Particleboards made from 1% P. brutia bark extractives met the specifications for modulus of rupture and internal bond strength for general purposes.  相似文献

It was established that difluoromethylornithine (DFMO) and methylglyoxal-bis(guanylhydrazone) blocked the mitogenic response of hepatocytes to epidermal growth factor. This effect of inhibitors, especially DFMO, has been prevented by exogenic putrescine, spermidine or spermine. But neither blocking action of inhibitors nor preventing effect of polyamines associated with changes of epidermal growth factor binding to hepatocytes.  相似文献

In the current study, 173 common bean genotypes from several geographic regions were studied. Days to flowering (DF) was evaluated in two experimental locations in Izmir, Turkey (Bornova and Menemen) in 2 years (2015 and 2016) and was found to range from 30 to 62.7 days with a mean value of 41.5 days. A total of 22,848 SNPs based on diversity array technology were developed, and after filtering, the remaining 20,766 SNP markers were used for calculating linkage disequilibrium. Chromosomes 1–11 contained 1846, 2342, 2184, 1153, 1351, 1520, 1953, 2080, 2065, 1199, and 1511 SNPs, respectively. A total of 1562 SNPs were identified as scaffold markers. The PIC value was 0.25, ranging from 0.005 to 0.500. Common bean accessions were divided into two main subpopulations, namely POP1 (Mesoamerican) and POP2 (Andean). Mixed linear model using the Q + K model showed that three SNPs had a significant association (p?<?0.01) in Bornova in 2015 and seven SNPs had a significant association (p?<?0.01) in the same location in 2016. Five significant associations (p?<?0.01) were identified in 2015 while six (p?<?0.01) were identified in Menemen in 2016. When the data from both locations and both years was combined, six SNPs were significant (p?<?0.01). For DF, 11 putative candidate genes were predicted from the sequences representing homology to linked SNPs. We conclude that the markers, which were significantly associated with the DF of the common bean genotypes in the current study, can be used for marker-assisted selection in plant breeding program of common bean.  相似文献

Plant-based foods contain numerous bioactive constituents (“nutraceuticals”) that have beneficial effects on human health. However, their oral bioavailability is often relatively low, which limits their potential efficacy. The bioavailability of nutraceuticals can be increased through the utilization of excipient foods whose compositions and structures are specifically designed to increase the amount of nutraceuticals absorbed in an active form. In this study, olive oil excipient emulsions were designed to increase the bioaccessibility of lycopene and other natural antioxidants in tomato pomace. These emulsions consisted of 8 wt% olive oil and 1 wt% Tween 20 or Tween 80 and were prepared using a microfluidizer operated under different processing conditions (12,000 or 20,000 psi; 3 or 5 passes). Changes in particle size, charge, and bioaccessibility were assessed when tomato pomace-emulsion mixtures were exposed to simulated gastrointestinal digestion. The mean particle diameter of the particles in the excipient emulsions increased after digestion (416 to 446 nm) compared to the values before digestion (200 to 220 nm). The presence of excipient emulsions significantly increased the bioaccessibility of lycopene in tomato pomace compared to oil-free control samples. For instance, lycopene bioaccessibility was > 82% when the tomato pomace was mixed with excipient emulsions but only 29% when it was mixed with oil-free buffer solutions. The presence of excipient emulsions also increased the total phenolic content of the tomato pomace. For instance, the phenolic content was considerably higher in the presence of excipient emulsions (1489 to 2055 mg GAE /100 g FW) than in their absence (939 mg GAE /100 g FW). However, the excipient emulsions did not increase naringenin bioaccessibility, which was attributed to the fact that it was not strongly hydrophobic. The efficacy of the excipient emulsions was only modestly dependent on emulsifier type and homogenization conditions. In conclusion, excipient emulsions can be designed to enhance the bioaccessibility of strongly hydrophobic nutraceuticals in tomato-based products, which may boost their healthiness.
