Immunocytochemical techniques have been used to study neuropeptide Y (NPY) distribution in the human visual cortex (Brodman's areas 17, 18 and 19) NYP cell bodies belong mostly to inhibitory (multipolar and bitufted) but also to excitatory (bipolar and some pyramidal) neuronal types. Their distribution is similar in the three cortical areas studied: 20 to 40% of the NPY perikarya are located in the cortical gray matter, mostly in the deep layers, while the remaining 60 to 80% are located in the underlying white matter. Immunoreactive NPY processes form a rich network of intersecting fibers throughout the entire visual cortex. A superficial plexus (layers I and II) and a deep plexus (deep layer V and layer VI) of NPY fibers are present in areas 17, 18 and 19. In area 17, an additional well developed plexus is present in layers IVb and IVc. These plexuses receive branches from long parallel fibers arising from deep cortical layers or underlying white matter and terminating in superficial layers. Local or extrinsic NPY terminals wind around vessels in the cortex as well as in the white matter, and either penetrate them or form clusters of club endings on their walls. Our results suggest a role for NPY in human visual circuitry and in cortical blood flow regulation.  相似文献

In the mouse neuroblastoma x dorsal root ganglion hybrid cell line F-11, bradykinin receptor stimulation induced the release of inositol-1,4,5-trisphosphate (IP3) and inositol-1,4-bisphosphate (IP2). Maximal stimulation of [2-3H]IP3 and [2-3H]IP2 release by bradykinin in the absence of LiCl occurred at 7 (or less) and 15 s, respectively, with average levels of 5.7-(IP3) and 3.4-(IP2) fold of control values. The EC50 for bradykinin was 33 +/- 5 nM. IP3 and IP2 concentrations returned to basal levels approximately 1 min after bradykinin addition. Bradykinin-induced IP3 release was blocked by several novel bradykinin analogues. In particular, [D-Arg0]-Hyp3-Thi5,8-[D-Phe7]-bradykinin [Hyp, hydroxyproline; Thi, beta-(2-thienyl)-L-alanine] blocked IP3 production in a dose-dependent fashion. Several of these analogues alone showed little or no agonist activity. The bradykinin receptor may be coupled to phospholipase C via a GTP-sensitive protein (Gi or Go), as preincubation for 18-20 h with pertussis toxin decreased IP3 concentrations by 45%. Bradykinin is also known to modulate the concentrations of other second messengers in neurons, increasing the concentrations of Ca2+, diacylglycerol (DG), and cyclic GMP and decreasing the concentration of cyclic AMP. These second messengers modulated bradykinin-dependent IP3 release to varying degrees. A23187, a Ca2+ ionophore, produced a 37% decrease in IP3 concentration. 12-O-Tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate, which mimics the effects of DG and activates protein kinase C, inhibited IP3 release by 80%. Dibutyryl cyclic GMP produced little or no inhibition of IP3. 土壤碳(C)、氮(N)、磷(P)是参与植物光合作用和影响生态系统初级生产力的主要元素。甘南高原是黄河流域重要的生态屏障,为了解该区不同林分土壤养分状况的差异,选取该区4种典型林分:云杉林、华北落叶松林、巴山冷杉林以及岷江冷杉糙皮桦混交林为研究对象,研究土壤C、N、P化学计量特征。结果表明:(1)岷江冷杉及糙皮桦混交林土壤C、N含量最高,云杉林土壤N、P含量最低。不同林分间P含量差异显著(P<0.05),不同土层间C、N含量差异均显著(P<0.05)。(2)云杉林土壤C : N值显著高于其他林分,岷江冷杉及糙皮桦混交林土壤N : P及C : P高于其他林分。(3)海拔、土壤pH、容重与土壤含水量是影响土壤养分的重要因素。土壤C含量与N、P含量均显著相关(P<0.05)。总体来说,不同林分土壤化学计量特征具有显著差异,混交林土壤养分状况较纯林好,未来森林管理和植被建设中,可以通过选择合适的树种和提高树种多样性有效改善森林土壤质量。  相似文献

Rigid plate and screw fixation is the mainstay of treatment for complex fractures of the facial skeleton. Complications of plate and screw fixation include prominence, infection, exposure, and migration. Five hundred and seven patients undergoing plate and screw fixation for facial fractures (1112 fractures) from 1983 to 1988 were followed for complications. Sixty-one patients (12 percent) required hardware removal. The location on the facial skeleton influenced symptoms and the rate of hardware removal. Infection and exposure may be decreased with antiseptic irrigations, avoiding mucosal damage, attention to proper mucosal closure, and correct placement of plates. Prominence may be decreased by the use of microplates in the supraorbital, frontal, and naso-orbital-ethmoid locations.  相似文献

目的探讨鼠李糖乳杆菌LV108及其发酵乳对免疫抑制小鼠免疫功能的调节作用。方法将BALB/c小鼠随机分为5组,每组10只,即空白组(正常小鼠)、模型组(免疫抑制小鼠)、药物组(免疫抑制小鼠食物中添加左旋咪唑)、LV108菌悬液组(免疫抑制小鼠食物中添加LV108菌悬液)和LV108发酵乳组(免疫抑制小鼠食物中添加LV108发酵乳),除空白组外其余组构建免疫抑制小鼠模型。干预4周后,分别测定各组小鼠体质量和脏器指数,血清中白细胞介素2(IL2)、肿瘤坏死因子α(TNFα)和免疫球蛋白G(IgG)含量,血清溶血素含量、耳肿胀度和肝、脾巨噬细胞吞噬能力。结果相比模型组,LV108菌悬液组和LV108发酵乳组小鼠体质量增长速度、脏器指数、血清IL2与IgG水平、血清溶血值、耳肿胀度和巨噬细胞吞噬能力显著升高(均P<0.05);在脾脏指数、血清IL2与TNFα水平、血清溶血素含量和耳肿胀度免疫指标上,LV108菌悬液组与LV108发酵乳组之间比较差异具有统计学意义(均P<0.05)。结论LV108菌体及发酵乳对免疫抑制小鼠具备较全面的免疫调节作用,均可提高小鼠的自身免疫力;LV108发酵乳对小鼠的免疫调节作用强于LV108菌体。  相似文献

Volatile components, such as terpenoids, are emitted from aerial parts of plants and play a major role in the interaction between plants and their environment. Analysis of the composition and emission pattern of volatiles in the model plant Arabidopsis showed that a range of volatile components are released, primarily from flowers. Most of the volatiles detected were monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes, which in contrast to other volatiles showed a diurnal emission pattern. The active terpenoid metabolism in wild-type Arabidopsis provoked us to conduct an additional set of experiments in which transgenic Arabidopsis overexpressing two different terpene synthases were generated. Leaves of transgenic plants constitutively expressing a dual linalool/nerolidol synthase in the plastids (FaNES1) produced linalool and its glycosylated and hydroxylated derivatives. The sum of glycosylated components was in some of the transgenic lines up to 40- to 60-fold higher than the sum of the corresponding free alcohols. Surprisingly, we also detected the production and emission of nerolidol, albeit at a low level, suggesting that a small pool of its precursor farnesyl diphosphate is present in the plastids. Transgenic lines with strong transgene expression showed growth retardation, possibly as a result of the depletion of isoprenoid precursors in the plastids. In dual-choice assays with Myzus persicae, the FaNES1-expressing lines significantly repelled the aphids. Overexpression of a typical cytosolic sesquiterpene synthase resulted in the production of only trace amounts of the expected sesquiterpene, suggesting tight control of the cytosolic pool of farnesyl diphosphate, the precursor for sesquiterpenoid biosynthesis. This study further demonstrates the value of Arabidopsis for studies of the biosynthesis and ecological role of terpenoids and provides new insights into their metabolism in wild-type and transgenic plants.  相似文献

Reference values for 18 plasma chemical variables in blue neck ostriches (Struthio camelus australis, n = 60, age 24-36 mo) were established for use in veterinary clinical practice using nonparametric statistics. The following values were established for the percentiles P2.5 and P97.5: sodium 147-157 mmol/L, calcium 2.4-4.8 mmol/L, inorganic phosphate 1.3-2.3 mmol/L, chloride 94-105 mmol/L, glucose 10.3-13.7 mmol/L, urea 0.5-0.8 mmol/L, uric acid 351-649 mumol/L, bile acids 8-33 mumol/L, total protein 39-56 g/L, albumin-globulin ratio 0.45-0.59, osmolality 304-330 mOsm/kg, alkaline phosphate 69-217 IU/L, aspartate aminotransferase 243-418 IU/L, gamma-glutamyltransferase 0-1 IU/L, creatine kinase 1648-4894 IU/L, glutamate dehydrogenase 8-17 IU/L, and lactate dehydrogenase 860-2236 IU/L. The plasma calcium concentration was significantly (P < 0.001; r = 0.74) related to the total protein concentration and an adjustment-formula for calcium was derived: adjusted Ca (mmol/L) = Ca (mmol/L)--0.09 TP (g/L) + 4.4. The influence of blood sample treatment on the plasma potassium concentration as seen in other avian species was demonstrated in a separate experiment, emphasizing the need to separate plasma and cells immediately after collection in avian blood samples.  相似文献
