Human long-latency auditory evoked potentials were studied during simulation with variable-amplitude pulse sequences from a sound source moving to and from the subject. The N1 peak parameters were shown to depend on an accurate estimate of the direction of the change in the distance to the sound source. Differences in the processing of signals that simulated the approaching and/or distancing of the sound source were found in the N1 and P2 component parameters of on- and off-responses as was a more pronounced long negative potential shift in the evoked response to the approaching source as compared to the distancing source.  相似文献

The biological activity of the filtrates of 29 C. difficile strains was studied in vivo (suckling white mice) and in vitro (cell cultures of different species and origin). The action of the filtrates on the experimental models in vivo was evaluated from the cytotoxic effect index, while in vitro the intensity of the cytotoxic effect was evaluated from the percentage of dead cells in the monolayer. The results of the comparative determination of toxicity characteristics in vivo and in vitro demonstrated that cell cultures were more sensitive experimental models than suckling white mice. The use of cell cultures permitted the quantitative evaluation of the cytotoxic activity of the filtrates under study, as well as the detection of their cell-directed action at minimal concentrations.  相似文献

Phosphorylase kinase was isolated from red and white chicken skeletal muscle in a nearly homogeneous state as judged by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis in the presence of sodium dodecyl sulphate. The molecular weight of the native enzyme as determined by gel filtration on Sepharose 4B is close to that of rabbit skeletal muscle phosphorylase kinase (i. e., approximately 1300 000). The molecular weights of the subunits determined by SDS gel electrophoresis are: alpha', 140 000 beta, 129 000; gamma', 44 000; delta, 17 000 (cf. the Mr values of the alpha- and gamma-subunits of the rabbit muscle isoenzyme are 146 000 and 42 000). The four subunits, alpha', beta, gamma' and delta, were found to exist in equimolar amounts as shown by a densitometric analysis of acrylamide gels; hence, the subunit formula of the chicken skeletal muscle isoenzyme is (alpha' beta gamma' delta)4. Rabbit antisera against a mixture of alpha'- and beta-subunits of chicken phosphorylase kinase yield a single precipitin line with this enzyme, do not show cross reactions of identity with the rabbit muscle enzyme but strongly inhibit the activity of the chicken enzyme and partially inhibit the activity of the rabbit muscle isoenzyme.  相似文献

Serum-deprived (0.2%) resting NIH 3T3 mouse fibroblasts were fused with serum-stimulated (10%) proliferating cells to elucidate mechanisms of entering into S-period operating in the nuclei of the heterokaryons under the effect of cycloheximide--an inhibitor of protein synthesis. Using radioautography DNA synthesis was investigated in mono-, homo- and heterodikaryons. After short (0.5-3.0 h) depressing of protein synthesis, the nuclei of stimulated cells in heterokaryons were found to enter into S-period. Under these conditions no induction of DNA synthesis was found in the nuclei of resting cells in heterodikaryons. In other experiments, resting cells were under the effect of cycloheximide during 2-4 h before the fusion, that led to a great induction of DNA synthesis in the nuclei of these cells in heterodikaryons. The data obtained are consistent with the idea of fibroblast transition to the rest under the action of labile proteins-repressors.  相似文献
