Background

Clinical and experimental evidence demonstrates that sleep and epilepsy reciprocally affect each other. Previous studies indicated that epilepsy alters sleep homeostasis; in contrast, sleep disturbance deteriorates epilepsy. If a therapy possesses both epilepsy suppression and sleep improvement, it would be the priority choice for seizure control. Effects of acupuncture of Feng-Chi (GB20) acupoints on epilepsy suppression and insomnia treatment have been documented in the ancient Chinese literature, Lingshu Jing (Classic of the Miraculous Pivot). Therefore, this study was designed to investigate the effect of electroacupuncture (EA) stimulation of bilateral Feng-Chi acupoints on sleep disruptions in rats with focal epilepsy.

Results

Our result indicates that administration of pilocarpine into the left central nucleus of amygdala (CeA) induced focal epilepsy and decreased both rapid eye movement (REM) sleep and non-REM (NREM) sleep. High-frequency (100 Hz) EA stimulation of bilateral Feng-Chi acupoints, in which a 30-min EA stimulation was performed before the dark period of the light:dark cycle in three consecutive days, further deteriorated pilocarpine-induced sleep disruptions. The EA-induced exacerbation of sleep disruption was blocked by microinjection of naloxone, μ- (naloxonazine), κ- (nor-binaltorphimine) or δ-receptor antagonists (natrindole) into the CeA, suggesting the involvement of amygdaloid opioid receptors.

Conclusion

The present study suggests that high-frequency (100 Hz) EA stimulation of bilateral Feng-Chi acupoints exhibits no benefit in improving pilocarpine-induced sleep disruptions; in contrast, EA further deteriorated sleep disturbances. Opioid receptors in the CeA mediated EA-induced exacerbation of sleep disruptions in epileptic rats.  相似文献

ObjectiveStudy the effect of electroacupuncture on permenopausal depressive disorder (PDD) model through the peri-menopausal depression model mice.MethodsKM female mice were selected. Except for the blank group (BG), the other groups of mice were removed by castration method. The mice of PDD was prepared by combining chronic unpredictable stimulation. Mice in the model group (MG) were not treated and fed normally. The western medicine group (WG) was given the corresponding drug for treatment. The electroacupuncture group (EAG) was given the electroacupuncture for treatment, and consecutive for 28 days. The levels of T, E2, FSH and LH in serum of mice were measured, and the brain tissue of 5-HT, DA and NE level were measured. Through the HE staining observed the morphological changes of mice hypothalamus.ResultsCompared with MG, EAG could increase the number of spontaneous activities of PDD model mice, the level of T, E2 in serum and the level of 5-HT, DA, NE in brain tissue was improved, and the level of FSH, LH in serum was reduced, and the hypothalamic lesions was improved.ConclusionElectroacupuncture could improve the activity and memory of PDD mice, adjust the disorder of sex hormone, and increased the levels of monoamine transmitters (5-HT, NE, DA), and it could effectively improve the behavior and related biochemical indexes of PDD, and thus play an important therapeutic role.  相似文献

摘要 目的:探讨电针阴部神经刺激疗法联合Kegel盆底康复训练对产后压力性尿失禁(SUI)患者盆底肌力、尿流动力学和生活质量的影响。方法:选取2019年6月~2021年11月期间于我院就诊的产后SUI患者109例,按照入院就诊奇偶顺序分为两组,其中对照组54例,接受Kegel盆底康复训练,研究组55例,接受电针阴部神经刺激疗法联合Kegel盆底康复训练。对比两组疗效、漏尿量、尿失禁程度、盆底肌力、尿流动力学和生活质量。结果:研究组的临床总有效率高于对照组(P<0.05)。两组治疗后盆底肌肌力各指标(手测肌力和Ⅰ类肌纤维最大值、Ⅱ类肌纤维平均值)均升高,且研究组高于对照组(P<0.05)。两组治疗后漏尿量、尿失禁程度评分均下降,且研究组低于对照组(P<0.05)。两组治疗后尿流动力学相关指标[腹压漏尿点压(AL-PP)、最大尿流率(Qmax)和最大尿道闭合压力(MUCP)]均升高,且研究组高于对照组(P<0.05)。两组治疗后尿失禁生活质量量表(I-QOL)各维度(限制性行为、心理影响、社交活动受限)评分及总分均升高,且研究组高于对照组(P<0.05)。结论:电针阴部神经刺激疗法联合Kegel盆底康复训练可有效改善产后SUI患者的盆底肌肌力和尿失禁情况,减少漏尿量,同时可促进尿流动力学恢复,进而提高患者的生活质量。  相似文献

摘要 目的:探讨电针足少阳经穴联合本体感觉训练对膝关节骨性关节炎(KOA)患者步行能力、血液流变学和骨代谢的影响。方法:按照随机数字表法,将2019年8月~2022年1月期间于我院就诊的KOA患者204例分为对照组(102例,本体感觉训练)和研究组(102例,电针足少阳经穴联合本体感觉训练)。对比两组膝关节功能、疼痛症状、步行能力、血液流变学和骨代谢情况。结果:治疗4周后,两组视觉疼痛模拟评分(VAS)、西安大略和麦克马斯特大学骨关节炎调查量表(WOMAC)评分下降,Lysholm 膝关节功能评分升高,且研究组的改变程度大于对照组(P<0.05)。治疗4周后,两组双支撑相下降,步速、步长升高,且研究组的改变程度大于对照组(P<0.05)。治疗4周后,两组纤维蛋白原、红细胞聚集指数、全血黏度(高切)、全血黏度(低切)下降,研究组的改变程度大于对照组(P<0.05)。治疗4周后,两组碱性磷酸酶(ALP)、骨钙素(BGP)、骨特异性碱性磷酸酶(BALP)水平升高,研究组的改变程度大于对照组(P<0.05)。结论:电针足少阳经穴联合本体感觉训练可改善KOA患者的疼痛症状,促进膝关节功能恢复,改善步行能力,作用机制可能与调节血液流变学和骨代谢有关。  相似文献

目的观察不同时辰电针对大鼠杏仁核一氧化氮合酶(NOS)表达的影响.方法采用还原型尼克酰胺腺嘌呤二核苷酸脱氢酶(NADPH-d)法,观察不同时辰电针大鼠一侧"足三里"穴对杏仁核NOS表达的影响.结果电针对大鼠杏仁皮质内侧核群、基底外侧核群NOS的表达有上调作用,并存在时辰差异(P<0.05);电针对大鼠杏仁中央核NOS表达无明显作用(P>0.05).结论电针对大鼠杏仁核NOS表达的影响有时辰差异.  相似文献

目的:探讨苓桂术甘汤联合电针风池供血穴治疗椎基底动脉供血不足(VBI)性眩晕的临床疗效。方法:选择2017年11月-2019年8月我院收治的VBI性眩晕患者145例为研究对象,采用随机数字表法分成联合组(75例)和对照组(70例)。在基础治疗的前提下,联合组采用苓桂术甘汤联合电针风池供血穴治疗,对照组采用西比灵治疗。比较两组临床疗效、眩晕改善情况、脑动脉血流速度指标、动脉硬化指数(AI)以及血液流变学指标。结果:治疗后联合组总有效率为89.33%,高于对照组的75.71%(P<0.05);治疗后联合组眩晕症状积分、欧洲眩晕评分量表(EEV)评分和眩晕障碍量表(DHI)评分低于对照组(P<0.05);联合组治疗后左侧动脉、基底动脉峰值流速(Vp)、左右侧动脉、基底动脉平均血流速度(Vm)均高于对照组,左侧动脉、基底动脉血管搏动指数(PI)、右侧动脉血管阻力指数(RI)、AI、高切全血黏度、中切全血黏度、低切全血黏度、血浆黏度、红细胞压积均低于对照组(P<0.05)。结论:苓桂术甘汤联合电针风池供血穴治疗VBI性眩晕,能够缓解患者的眩晕状况,疗效确切,改善脑动脉血流速度和脑动脉硬化程度,降低血液黏度。  相似文献

采用NADPH-d组织化学方法,观察电针对大鼠一侧足底注射5%福尔马林50μl后病灶所属脊髓节段(L4-L6)一氧化氮合酶(NOS)阳性反应的影响。结果表明,福尔马林组大鼠L4-L6节段脊髓胶状质NOS阳性反应较生理盐水组显著增强,电针治疗组大鼠L4-L6节段脊髓胶状质NOS阳性反应与生理盐水组无显著差异。但明显弱于福尔马林组,提示电针治疗能抑制大鼠足底疼痛病灶所属脊髓节段NO合成,减弱脊髓神经元的敏感化,从而发挥镇痛作用。  相似文献

Electroacupuncture (EA) has been shown to modify the effects of various drugs of abuse, including alcohol. Inbred P rats were trained to drink alcohol voluntarily and then subjected to two periods of alcohol deprivation lasting 3 days. During the second deprivation, the rats received either EA or sham EA. The rats were pretreated with naltrexone (5 mg/kg) or saline 30 min before each of the EA or sham EA sessions. Approximately 6 h after the last naltrexone or saline treatment, the alcohol tubes were returned and alcohol and water intakes were recorded later at 2, 4, 6, and 24 h. Only EA led to a decrease in alcohol intake, which was most prominent at 6 and 24 h, and this inhibitory effect of EA was blocked by naltrexone, suggesting that activation of the endogenous opiate system may be responsible for EA’s effects on alcohol intake in the alcohol-dependent iP rats. We have previously shown that electroacupuncture (EA) produced antinociception through the release of endogenous opioid peptides to activate opioid receptors during acute nociception. EA produced tolerance after its prolonged application. It has reported that 100 Hz EA could reduce mechanical hyperalgesia in complete Freund’s adjuvant (CFA)-induced inflammatory nociception rats. The present study aims to investigate the antinociceptive effect of EA and the development of EA tolerance in chronic inflammatory nociception rats with CFA injection into the hind paw plantar. The results showed that the antinociceptive effect of 100 Hz EA was significantly enhanced in CFA-induced inflammatory nociception rats. Naloxone at 20 mg/kg could significantly block this antinociceptive effect. Chronic tolerance to EA was developed faster in CFA-induced inflammatory nociception rats than in normal rats. Therefore, 100 Hz EA could enhance antinociceptive effects and accelerate tolerance development in CFA-induced inflammatory nociception rats. The enhancement of EA antinociceptive effect in CFA-induced inflammatory nociception rats might involve the endogenous opioid peptides such as dynorphin.
