The composition and variability of the terpenes and their derivatives isolated from the needles of a representative pool of 114 adult trees originating from four natural populations of dwarf mountain pine (Pinus mugo Turra ) from the Julian Alps were investigated by GC‐FID and GC/MS analyses. In total, 54 of the 57 detected essential‐oil components were identified. Among the different compound classes present in the essential oils, the chief constituents belonged to the monoterpenes, comprising an average content of 79.67% of the total oil composition (74.80% of monoterpene hydrocarbons and 4.87% of oxygenated monoterpenes). Sesquiterpenes were present in smaller amounts (average content of 19.02%), out of which 16.39% were sesquiterpene hydrocarbons and 2.62% oxygenated sesquiterpenes. The most abundant components in the needle essential oils were the monoterpenes δ‐car‐3‐ene, β‐phellandrene, α‐pinene, β‐myrcene, and β‐pinene and the sesquiterpene β‐caryophyllene. From the total data set of 57 detected compounds, 40 were selected for principal‐component analysis (PCA), discriminant analysis (DA), and cluster analysis (CA). The overlap tendency of the four populations suggested by PCA, was as well observed by DA. CA also demonstrated similarity among the populations, which was the highest between Populations I and II.  相似文献

目的:研究超低剂量扫描在CT引导下肺部穿刺活检中的应用。方法:2009年1月至2014年12月来本院200例行胸部CT引导下穿刺的患者分为常规剂量组(130 k V,90 m As)、超低剂量组(100 k V,7.5 m As),各组100例,并进行穿刺。根据CT机自动记录的受检者剂量长度乘积(dose length product,DLP)计算X线有效辐射剂量(effective dose,ED)。比较两组在辐射剂量、图片质量、穿刺成功率的差异。结果:超低剂量组和常规剂量组DLP分别为(25.79±1.13)m Gy·cm和(256.14±4.48)m Gy·cm(P0.05),ED分别为(0.36±0.02)m SV和(3.59±0.06)m Sv(P0.05)。图片质量均为A级。超低剂量组和常规剂量组穿刺成功率分别为88%(88/100)为92%(92/100),差异无统计学意义(x2=0.89,P0.05)。结论:超低剂量CT引导下胸部穿刺,可降低受检者的X线有效辐射剂量,图像质量可达到临床CT引导下胸部穿刺的要求,值得提倡和推广。  相似文献

The phenomenon of premature needle senescence in two Italian provenances of silver fir was studied as part of a more general research project on decliningAbies alba. The two provenances showed a different degree of sensitivity to atmospheric pollutants. Comparative observations on 1-, 3-, 5-, 7- and 9-year-old needles from both provenances highlighted a faster loss of function in the phloem of needles from the Vallombrosa provenance. This fact appears to be related more to a loss of function in the cambium, than to a different rate of degeneration of sieve cells. This phenomenon may help explain why needles of the Vallombrosa provenance tend to be shed sooner than those of the Serra San Bruno provenance.  相似文献

To evaluate the effects of air pollution on the decline of Pinus densiflora forests, various research has been conducted around Mt. Gokurakuji (34° 23N, 132° 19E, 693 m a.s.l.) north of the Seto Inland Sea, west Japan. To investigate the mechanisms responsible for decreases in photosynthesis (Pn) and stomatal conductance (gl), 13C of needles and seasonal changes in the water content (WC) and abscisic acid concentration (ABA) of needles were measured in various stands. The 13C values were less negative in declining stands and younger needles. ABA and WC were not correlated with each other. WC decreased consistently with needle age while the ABA showed a minimum in August and a smaller content in older needles. Monthly precipitation and the daily maximum vapor pressure were not correlated with ABA and WC. In declining stands, WC and ABA tended to be higher and lower, respectively, than in nondeclining stands. These results suggest that the trees in declining stands received less water stress than those in nondeclining stands and the differences in gl and 13C are not caused by the difference in water stress. The possibilities of the effects of air pollution and the infection of pine-wood nematode on the physiological decline on the pine needles are discussed.  相似文献

Conifer needles of different ages perform differently in ecophysiology. However, no study has investigated the biomass distribution of different-aged needles in a tree crown or/and a stand canopy. We carried out a study on young (∼50 years old) and old (∼200 years) Pinus cembra L. trees at highland (2100–2300 m a.s.l.) and lowland (570 m) sites in Switzerland. We found that both the young and the old trees living in the highlands had more needle biomass per tree than the same-aged trees of the same species living in the lowlands. This is mainly due to the greater longevity of needles in highland trees. It reflects the strategic responses of trees to low resource availability or high abiotic stress level. Having older needles increases the time that nutrients are resident in trees in less favorable environments, and compensates for shorter growing period in cold temperatures.  相似文献

Sakhalin spruce (Picea glehnii), a native species typically found in northern Japan, has been used in reforestation on hillsides exposed to strong winds. In the reforestation areas, there are south-facing (S-slope) and northwest-facing slopes (NW-slope). Climatic conditions are contrasting between the two slopes, with shallower snow cover on the S-slopes. We compared growth responses of the spruce to micro-environment between the S- and NW-slopes through soil nutrients, needle longevity, water status, photosynthesis, and nutrients in the needles. These parameters were measured in needles exposed above the snow in winter and in lower needles protected by snow cover. High-position needles suffered from drought stress, especially in winter, and needles were shed early in the year on both slopes. Low-position needles did not suffer from drought stress, and maintained a high photosynthetic rate on both slopes. However, needle longevity was reduced on the S-slope, and concentrations of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium in the needles decreased with needle age. Soil nutrient concentrations were low on the S-slope, which suggests that the needles on the S-slope may remobilize nutrients from aged needles to younger needles prior to shedding. This characteristic is probably an adaptation in Sakhalin spruce to poor soil conditions.  相似文献

Different calculation methods, based on needle geometry, for estimating both projected area (PLA) and total surface area (TLA) of foliage in Norway spruce [Picea abies (L.) Karst.] were compared. Seventy-eight shoots of four age classes were sampled from both the basal and top thirds of crowns. Three dimensions (the length, minor and major diameters) of needles were taken, and the needle shape was approximated to a parallelepiped or ellipsoid. There was a perfect coincidence of the measured and estimated values of PLA calculated as the width of the needle projection multiplied by needle length, and corrected for needle taper (method III), or when the needle projection was treated as a rectangle joined with half-ellipses at both ends (method IV). The most reliable estimations of TLA resulted from treating the needle sides as faces of the parallelepiped tapering at their ends in the form of half-ellipses. The ratio of TLA to PLA ranged from 2.2 to 4.0 depending on the needle morphology. Needle minor diameter (anatomical width; D 1) was found to be a better morphological index of the spruce foliage than needle flatness, i.e. the ratio of major to minor diameter. Expressing the factor for converting PLA to TLA as a function of D 1 considerably improved the precision of the estimates. Close relationships were established between specific leaf area, expressed on both a projected area (SLAP) and total surface area basis (SLAT), needle dry weight (R 2 was 0.799 and 0.852, respectively) and minor diameter of needles (R 2 was 0.701 and 0.554, respectively). Several of the conifer species are increasingly adopted as Christmas trees worldwide. These species have become integral parts of the horticultural economies of North American and European countries. Postharvest characteristics such as needle abscission/retention, color, fragrance and rehydration abilities vary with species and these complex physiological traits are strongly modulated by hormonal and environmental factors. A large body of research indicates that prevalence of low temperature before harvest evokes cold acclimation responses that involve an increase in complex sugar concentrations, alterations in membrane structures and enhancements in scavenging abilities promoting postharvest needle retention. Adverse postharvest environmental factors, for example, high temperature and vapor pressure deficit are found to increase water stress, cause dehydration and accelerate needle abscission and/or discoloration. Postharvest water stress/cellular dehydration is one of the fundamental biophysical signals that triggers a cascade of hormonal changes, leading to needle abscission. Abscissic acid levels increase during cold acclimation as well as prior to abscission indicating a complicated and paradoxical role in abscission. Ethylene levels increase before abscission and are well proven to instigate the needle fall. Concentrations of cytokinins, auxins and polyamines decline postharvest. However, their interactive roles with other phytohormones orchestrating the abscission process still remain elusive. This review presents and discusses our current knowledge of the physiological aspects of pre-and postharvest environmental factors on needle abscission.  相似文献

Abstract. Litter fall and litter decomposition were studied in four mature stands of Pinus sylvestris (Scots pine) in the eastern Pyrenees. The stands were located in environments differing in bedrock type and exposition and were studied for two years. Mass-loss during the first year of decomposition was compared with other European P. sylvestris forests and regressed with environmental variables (temperature and rainfall) and latitude. The results suggested that the mean amount of needle fall (1760 kg-ha-1·yr-1) was within the range reported for northern European stands. There were more differences in the amount of litter fall between the four stands than between the two years studied. However, the needle fall pattern over the year showed significant differences between years in three of the four stands. Litter decomposition was similar in all the stands and only the one in drier conditions showed a lower decomposition rate. On the European scale the decomposition rate was positively related to mean annual temperature and annual rainfall. However, regression analysis suggests that there are other factors, not taken into account in this study, that are important for predicting the decomposition rate.  相似文献

The effect of giant Andean stem-rosettes (Coespeletia lutescens) on air and soil temperatures was studied in the Páramo de Piedras Blancas (Venezuela) at 4265 and 4385 m altitude during the dry season, which is the coldest season in this tropical mountain area. Maximum air temperatures beneath a plant canopy were only slightly higher than in the open. Minimum temperatures below the stem-rosettes were 4.7° to 7.0°C higher than in the open. This substantially reduced the intensity of nightly freezing. Soil temperature minima at 20 cm depth were 2.4° to 4.2°C higher below plants, but maxima were somewhat lower than in bare soil. These microclimatic alterations are ecologically significant for stemprosette seedlings, which should have a higher probability of survival due to the reduced frequency of frost and needle ice formation below large plants. Warmer soils at night should also result in greater water uptake by seedlings during the early morning hours, thus reducing dry-season mortality.  相似文献
