澳大利亚是一个岛状大陆,海洋运输业十分发达,通过贸易,旅游,运输等途径有意或无间引进有害外来物种的风险较大。澳大利亚政府高度重视外来入侵物种的管理工作,制定了《澳大利亚国家生物多样性保护策略》,针对外来杂草和通过压舱水载入的海洋外来入侵物种的管理制定了《国家杂草策略》,《杂草风险评价系统》和《压舱水指南》等法规和技术性文件,加强了对外来入侵物种的管理。本文简要介绍了澳大利亚外来入侵物种管理的有关策略和指南,并提出了我国在外来入侵物种管理方面的对策建议;(1)尽快建立相应的法规体系,实现外来入侵物种的依法管理;(2)加强机构建设,形成多部门的协调管理机制;(3)加强外来入侵物种管理制度的建设;(4)采取适当的引进预防,消除,控制和恢复措施;(5)开展科学研究,为外来入侵物种的管理提供科学依据;(6)制定教育和培训计划,提高公众意识。  相似文献

The method of stopped flow was used to follow the changes in light scattering by the vesicles of plasmalemma and tonoplast isolated from maize (Zea maysL.) roots and treated by osmotic pressure. In both membrane preparations, the rate of the process depended on the osmotic gradient and was described with the simple exponential function. The rate constants derived from these functions were the following: the coefficient of water permeability in the tonoplast (P= 165 ± 7 m/s) exceeded by an order of magnitude the corresponding index for plasmalemma (11 ± 2 m/s). The presence of HgCl2(1.6 nmol/g membrane protein) decreased the tonoplast water permeability by 80%. Microviscosity studies of the hydrocarbon zone in the isolated membranes by using a fluorescent diphenylhexatriene probe demonstrated that the two membranes do not differ in the phase state of their lipid bilayer. The authors conclude that the observed difference in water permeability does not depend on the state of the lipid phase and probably reflects the dissimilar functional activity of plasmalemma and tonoplast aquaporins.  相似文献

Seabirds were counted in September 1998 from the research vessel Professor Khromovand a motorboat in Pil'tun and Lunskii bays and in the contiguous areas of the eastern Sakhalin shelf. Data on the species composition, abundance, and distribution of seabirds are presented. A fairly high species diversity and significantly high density of seabirds were recorded in Pil'tun and Lunskii bays, which are the main areas where they concentrate during the summer months.  相似文献

The water relations and hydraulic architecture of growing grass tillers (Festuca arundinacea Schreb.) are reported. Evaporative flux density, E (mmol s?1 m?2), of individual leaf blades was measured gravimetrically by covering or excision of entire leaf blades. Values of E were similar for mature and elongating leaf blades, averaging 2·4 mmol s?1 m?2. Measured axial hydraulic conductivity, Kh (mmol s?1 mm MPa?1), of excised leaf segments was three times lower than theoretical hydraulic conductivity (Kt) calculated using the Poiseuille equation and measurements of vessel number and diameter. Kt was corrected (Kt*) to account for the discrepancy between Kh and Kt and for immature xylem in the basal expanding region of elongating leaves. From base to tip of mature leaves the pattern of Kt* was bell‐shaped with a maximum near the sheath–blade joint (≈ 19 mmol s?1 mm MPa?1). In elongating leaves, immature xylem in the basal growing region led to a much lower Kt*. As the first metaxylem matured, Kt* increased by 10‐fold. The hydraulic conductances of the whole root system, (mmol s?1 MPa?1) and leaf blades, (mmol s?1 MPa?1) were measured by a vacuum induced water flow technique. and were linearly related to the leaf area downstream. Approximately 65% of the resistance to water flow within the plant resided in the leaf blade. An electric‐analogue computer model was used to calculate the leaf blade area‐specific radial hydraulic conductivity, (mmol s?1 m?2 MPa?1), using , Kt* and water flux values. values decreased with leaf age, from 21·2 mmol s?1 m?2 MPa?1 in rapidly elongating leaf to 7·2 mmol s?1 m?2 MPa?1 in mature leaf. Comparison of and values showed that ≈ 90% of the resistance to water flow within the blades resided in the liquid extra‐vascular path. The same algorithm was then used to compute the xylem and extravascular water potential drop along the liquid water path in the plant under steady state conditions. Predicted and measured water potentials matched well. The hydraulic design of the mature leaf resulted in low and quite constant xylem water potential gradient (≈ 0·3 MPa m?1) throughout the plant. Much of the water potential drop within mature leaves occurred within a tenth of millimetre in the blade, between the xylem vessels and the site of water evaporation within the mesophyll. In elongating leaves, the low Kt* in the basal growth zone dramatically increased the local xylem water potential gradient (≈ 2·0 MPa m?1) there. In the leaf elongation zone the growth‐induced water potential difference was ≈ 0·2 MPa.  相似文献

Hypokinesia (HK) (diminished movement) induces significant electrolyte changes, but little is known about the effect of periodic hypokinesia (PHK) on minerals. The aim of this study was to measure the effect of PHK and continuous hypokinesia (CHK) on urinary and serum electrolytes. Studies were done during a 30-d period of prehypokinesia (HK) and during 364 d of PHK and CHK periods. Thirty male athletes aged 24.6±7.7 yr were chosen as subjects. They were equally divided into three groups: unrestricted ambulatory control subjects (UACS), continuously hypokinetic subjects (CHKS), and periodically hypokinetic subjects (PHKS). The UACS group experienced no changes in the daily activities and regular training and they were maintained under an average running distance of 11.7 km/d. The CHKS group was limited to an average walking distance of 0.7 km/d; and the PHKS group was limited to an average walking distance of 0.7 and running distance of 11.7 km/d for 5 d and 2 d/wk, respectively, for a period of 364 d. Urinary and serum phosphate (P), calcium (Ca), sodium (Na) and potassium (K), serum intact parathyroid hormone (iPTH), calcitonin (CT), plasma renin activity (PRA) and aldosterone (PA) levels, food and water intakes, and physical characteristics were measured. Urinary P, Ca, Na, and K loss, serum Ca, P, Na, and K, and PRA and PA values increased significantly (p≤0.01), whereas serum iPTH and CT levels decreased significantly (p≤0.01) in the PHKS and CHKS groups when compared with the UACS group. However, significant (p≤0.01) differences were observed between PHKS and CHKS groups regarding urinary and serum electrolytes, serum and plasma hormones. Food and water intakes, body weight, body fat, and peak oxygen uptake decreased significantly (p ≤ 0.01) in the CHKS group when compared with PHKS and UACS groups. Food and fluid intakes, body fat, and body weight increased significantly (p≤0.01), whereas peak oxygen uptake remained significantly (p≤0.01) higher in the PHKS group when compared with the CHKS group. Serum and urinary minerals, serum hormones, food and fluid intakes, and physical characteristics did not change significantly (p>0.01) in the UACS group when compared with their baseline control values. It was shown that both PHK and CHK induce significant serum and urinary electrolyte changes. However, urinary and serum electrolyte changes were significantly (p≤0.01) greater during PHK than CHK. It was concluded that the greater the stability of muscular activity, the smaller the serum and urinary electrolyte changes during prolonged HK.  相似文献

Stress-induced accumulation of five (COR47, LTI29, ERD14, LTI30 and RAB18) and tissue localization of four (LTI29, ERD14, LTI30 and RAB18) dehydrins in Arabidopsis were characterized immunologically with protein-specific antibodies. The five dehydrins exhibited clear differences in their accumulation patterns in response to low temperature, ABA and salinity. ERD14 accumulated in unstressed plants, although the protein level was up-regulated by ABA, salinity and low temperature. LTI29 mainly accumulated in response to low temperature, but was also found in ABA- and salt-treated plants. LTI30 and COR47 accumulated primarily in response to low temperature, whereas RAB18 was only found in ABA-treated plants and was the only dehydrin in this study that accumulated in dry seeds.Immunohistochemical localization of LTI29, ERD14 and RAB18 demonstrated tissue and cell type specificity in unstressed plants. ERD14 was present in the vascular tissue and bordering parenchymal cells, LTI29 and ERD14 accumulated in the root tip, and RAB18 was localized to stomatal guard cells. LTI30 was not detected in unstressed plants. The localization of LTI29, ERD14 and RAB18 in stress-treated plants was not restricted to certain tissues or cell types. Instead these proteins accumulated in most cells, although cells within and surrounding the vascular tissue showed more intense staining. LTI30 accumulated primarily in vascular tissue and anthers of cold-treated plants.This study supports a physiological function for dehydrins in certain plant cells during optimal growth conditions and in most cell types during ABA or cold treatment. The differences in stress specificity and spatial distribution of dehydrins in Arabidopsis suggest a functional specialization for the members of this protein family.  相似文献

Diarrheal disease is one of the major causes of morbidity and mortality in developing countries. Drinking water is a primary transmission route of infectious diarrheagenic bacteria in a rural area of Kenya (Microbiol. Immunol. 41: 773-778, 1997). We tried to prevent diarrhea at villages with approximately 1,500 households in Kenya by pasteurizing drinking water. A durable simple thermoindicator which changes color at 70 C was used as an indicator of pasteurization. The number of households in which drinking water was coliform bacteria-free increased from 10.7% to 43.1% after adoption of a pasteurization practice. Consequently, the incidence of severe diarrhea among people drinking pasteurized water was significantly lower than in people taking raw water (odds ratio=0.55, P=0.0016). The reduction ratio of the incidence after pasteurization was nearly equivalent with that after the adoption of a boiling method. Employment of women leaders as fieldworkers and demonstration of bacterial colony disappearance on agar plates by pasteurization also affected reduction of the diarrheal incidence.  相似文献

Pinus pumila (Pallas) Regel. is a dominant dwarf tree in alpine regions of Japan. The possible factors limiting the net photosynthetic rate (Pn) of the needles of P. pumila were examined in the snow-melting (May) and the summer (August) seasons. In August, in situ maximum Pn was 20 mol kg–1 needle s–1 in the current-year needles and 25 mol kg–1 needle s–1 in the 1-year-old needles. Diurnal trends of Pn in August were positively related to fluctuations in photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD) and no midday depression of Pn was found, indicating that a decrease in PPFD rather than an increase in needle-to-air vapor pressure deficit (W) might cause the reduction of Pn. Both stomatal conductance (gs) and Pn were lower in May than in August. In May, Pn and gs were almost zero in the morning, but gradually increased with decreasing W, reaching maximum Pn values (4 mol kg–1 needle s–1) and gs (60 mmol kg–1 needle s–1) at 16.00 hours. The daytime Pn in May was positively related to gs. Relative water content in the exposed needles above the snow in May was 83%, which was far above the lethal level. This indicates that the water flow from stems or soils to needles was enough to compensate for a small amount of water loss due to the low gs in May, although the water supplied to needles would be impeded by the low temperatures. Thus, the reduced gs in May would be important for avoiding needle desiccation, and would result in a reduced Pn.  相似文献

Histiostoma feroniarum, like other histiostomatid mites, possesses peculiar ring organs that are visible under the light microscope as ventrally located, characteristic rings of sclerotized cuticle. The ring organ is composed of three elements: a disc of modified cuticle, ring organ cells located underneath the disc, and an "empty" chamber frequently visible between the cuticular disc and the cells. The cuticle of the disc is not perforated and differs from the surrounding unmodified cuticle as revealed by special staining developed for light microscopy and by electron microscopy. The ring organ cells show a polarity, with a practically smooth apical surface and an extremely folded basal membrane. The basal invaginations reach the apical cell portion, where they form tubular canaliculi distributed beneath the apical cell membrane. The cytoplasm contains many mitochondria, which are usually in contact with the cell membrane invaginations. Structurally, the ring organ cells closely resemble the transport cells described in osmoregulatory organs both in water-inhabiting and terrestrial arthropods. Thus, our results support earlier suggestions of an osmoregulatory function performed by sclerotized rings (=ring organs), as an adaptation to aqueous environments. A possible homology with similar organs of other mites is discussed.  相似文献
