Summary In order to explore interrelations between S nutrition, soluble sugars, leaf area, nodulation and N2 fixation, greenhouse experiments were done with several levels of S added to perlite-sand cultures or to a moderately S-deficient soil. Sulfur had indirect effects on nodulation and N2 fixation, possibly by improving sugars supply and N metabolism.In perlite-sand culture, leaf area increased with concentrations of supplied S up to 50 and 200 M for symbiotic and N-treated plants respectively, then decreased at higher concentrations. Plant yield and total sugars content (mg per plant) for the N-treated plants behaved similar to leaf area in response to added S but in the symbiotic plants maximum values were obtained at 100 M S. In soil, Mo had no effect on growth but interacted significantly with S in affecting total sugars content. High levels of S depressed sugars content at low Mo but raised it at high Mo.Sulfur increased the N content of soil-grown plants. It increased the N content of plants grown in perlite-sand culture except at very high levels of S. There was little effect on concentration of N in the shoots. Nitrogen content correlated significantly with leaf area and sugar content, and highly significantly with S concentration in the shoots.  相似文献

利用最大墒模型和地理信息系统软件对柯属(Lithocarpus)5种资源植物在我国的适宜分布区进行了定量预测,并对未来不同气候情景下其分布区的变化进行了分析。结果显示:木姜叶柯(L.litseifolius(Hance)Chun.)在我国秦岭淮河以南广泛分布,短尾柯(L.brevicaudatus(Skan)Hay.)主要分布在我国亚热带中东部区域;木姜叶柯在未来气候(2061-2080年)RCP2.6、RCP8.5两种情景下适生区面积分别减少了5.1%和3.0%,而短尾柯却分别增加了0.5%和1.5%。白柯(L.dealbatus(Hook.f.et Thoms.ex DC.)Rehd.)适宜区主要分布在云南北部、四川南部,烟斗柯(L.corneus(Lour.)Rehd.)主要分布在两广省份的南亚热带地区。白柯和烟斗柯在RCP2.6情景下适生区面积分别减少了12.1%和17.8%,在RCP8.5情景下分别减少了3.5%和15.9%,这两个种的适宜区面积减少较多。厚斗柯(L.elizabethae(Tutch.)Rehd.)主要分布于广西,在两种情景下适宜区面积分别增加了7.3%和6.3%。研究结果表明,由于分布区存在差异,同属不同物种的未来分布对气候变化的响应不同。  相似文献

Whole homogenates and membrane-bound and cytosoluble fractions prepared from rat ventral tegmental area (VTA) and nucleus accumbens were examined for their content of peptidasic activities and for their ability to metabolize neurotensin and its natural related hexapeptide neuromedin N. No qualitative differences were observed between these two brain regions concerning the presence and the subcellular distribution of a series of activities able to hydrolyze various specific fluorimetric enzymatic substrates. However, aminopeptidase B, endopeptidase 24-15, and endopeptidase 24-11 were significantly lower in the VTA than in the nucleus accumbens membrane preparations, while proline endopeptidase was detected in significantly higher amount only in the cytosolic fraction prepared from nucleus accumbens. Both neurotensin and neuromedin N were metabolized more rapidly in the nucleus accumbens than in the VTA. Furthermore, the degradation rate of neuromedin N was considerably faster than that of neurotensin whatever the cerebral area examined. Studies carried out with highly specific peptidase inhibitors revealed that endopeptidase 24-15 mainly contributed to the catabolism of neurotensin in homogenates and membrane-bound preparations of nucleus accumbens and VTA, while aminopeptidase B appeared predominantly responsible for the rapid disappearance of neuromedin N in both cerebral tissues. The possibility that the different metabolic processes of the two peptide congeners could explain their distinct pharmacological profiles observed after their microinjection in the nucleus accumbens and in the VTA is discussed.  相似文献

We studied levels of tyrosine hydroxylase immunoreactivity and phosphorylation state in the ventral tegmental area (VTA) and nucleus accumbens (NAc) in an effort to understand better the mechanisms by which these brain reward regions are influenced by opiates and cocaine. In the VTA, chronic, but not acute, administration of either morphine or cocaine increased levels of tyrosine hydroxylase immunoreactivity by 30-40%, with no change observed in the relative phosphorylation state of the enzyme. In the NAc, chronic, but not acute, morphine and cocaine treatments decreased the phosphorylation state of tyrosine hydroxylase, without a change in its total amount. In contrast, morphine and cocaine did not regulate tyrosine hydroxylase in the substantia nigra or caudate/putamen, brain regions generally not implicated in drug reward. Morphine and cocaine regulation of tyrosine hydroxylase could represent part of a common biochemical basis of morphine and cocaine addiction and craving.  相似文献

A new type of bubble aeration column called a hollow fiber membrane (HFM) aeration column was proposed, which was featured in the use of hollow fiber membranes and gave a high bubble density in the column. The value of k(L)a was increased by modifying the membrane surface for making the pore size smaller. The Sauter mean diameter of bubbles (D(vs)) was 2.0 +/- 0.1 mm in the range of the superficial gas velocity from 0.02 m s(-1) to 0.065 m s(-1), while that obtained for the bubbles near the membrane was 811 mum at the superficial gas velocity of 4.0 x 10(-4) m s(-1). The difference was ascribed to the effect of coalescence of bubbles. The value of K(L)a increased in proportion to the superficial gas velocity up to 0.02 m s(-1), and was almost constant above 0.03 m s(-1). The maximum value of k(L)a, 2.5 s(-1), was higher than those of the other aeration columns reported previously. The pneumatic power consumption per unit liquid volume (P(v)) for obtaining the same k(L)a was the smallest in the HFM aeration columns. P(v), for obtaining the same interfacial area of bubbles per liquid volume, was also lower than those for other types of aeration columns. It was suggested from the measurement of bubble diameter that the larger interfacial area generated in the HFM aeration column ascribes to the larger gas holdup than the smaller D(vs). Stimulation of leaf expansion by an exogenous cytokinin was studied in isolated leaf discs of sweet pepper with emphasis on the assimilate utilization of the tissue. Leaf discs were floated on solutions containing sucrose and plant growth regulators. Benzyladenine (BA) promoted the area expansion rate of the leaf discs. Sucrose at 100 mM resulted in increased area expansion rate compared with 10 mM sucrose. However, the increased sucrose concentration had no influence on the effect of BA. Over a period of 24 h, treatment with BA did not result in any change of sucrose uptake nor of the partitioning of assimilated carbon in the leaf discs. Neither did BA treatment affect the activity of acid invertase (EC 3.2.1.26) or pyrophosphate-dependent phosphofructokinase (EC 2.7.1.90) in the leaf discs. Using a combination of mathematical modeling and field studies we showed that in dense stands of growing herbaceous plants the vertical pattern of leaf nitrogen distribution resembles the pattern of mean light attenuation in the stand and hence tends to maximize total daily photosynthetic carbon gain of the whole stand. Flowering represents a strong sink of nitrogen away from the photosynthetic apparatus and in herbs like Solidago altissima it induces leaf shedding. We studied both the effect of nitrogen reallocation and leaf shedding on the whole canopy photosynthesis and changes in leaf nitrogen distributions in stands moving from the growing to the flowering stage. Despite a decrease in leaf area index and total nitrogen available for photosynthesis in the flowering stand, the leaf nitrogen distribution here also leads to an almost maximum canopy photosynthesis. In both the growing and the flowering stands the leaf area index was higher than calculated optimum values. It is pointed out that this should not necessarily be interpreted as non-adaptive.  相似文献
