本文结合Iwao零频率法和Gerrard阈限密度法,提出一种改进的种群密度估计方法──“综合阈限密度估计法”,并由此探讨了苹果树上山楂叶螨成螨的密度估计及其抽样技术.采用零样频率来估计成螨的平均密度,并得到用概率保证的理论抽样数模型.比较结果表明,零频率法所需的理论抽样数少于直接计数法.综合阈限密度估计法的拟合效果更为显著.  相似文献

Summary The present study investigated the age at which insemination takes place in Polistes snelleni, a species in which mating begins while new reproductives are still emerging from the nest. 本文对南宁市郊农田九种生境狼蛛亚群落结构进行了讨论。群落有7属37种狼蛛。文中揭示了农田各生境区间狼蛛亚群落的主要成分及其主要属性差异的原因。以狼蛛类群为指示动物,用群落相似性比例和聚类分析法,能较好地区分幼豹蛛(Pardosa pusiola)与奇异獾蛛(Trochosa ruricola)和拟环纹豹蛛(Pardosa pseudoannulata)与拟水狼蛛(Pirata subpiraticus)是构成农田区旱地和水田生境型具有代表性的两个狼蛛亚群落主要成分。  相似文献

陕西农田蜘蛛有32科104属236种,古北界120种,东洋界89种,除上2界外,尚有广泛分布的27种。黄土高原分布区有蜘蛛56种,古北界36种,东洋界3种,广泛分布的17种;关中平原区有蜘蛛135种,古北界78种,东洋界44种,广泛分布的13种;秦岭山区有蜘蛛122种,古北界55种,东洋界50种,广泛分布的17种;汉中、安康盆地区有蜘蛛103种,东洋界66种,古北界26种,广泛分布的11种;大巴山区有蜘蛛16种,东洋界9种,广泛分布的7种。秦岭为2界的分界线,即北纬33°~34°之间分界,此界与陕西等积温(日均温≥10℃)3600℃线吻合,秦岭北为古北界,以南为东洋界,关中平原和汉中、安康盆地区为古北界与东洋界的过渡区。  相似文献

Summary Colonies and nests ofApoica pallens in the llanos region of Venezuela range from small foundress nests to large mature colonies. Nests are sited on small diameter, near-horizontal branches in a variety of shrub and tree species. During the day, adult wasps cluster on the face of the nest in an array that seems to be determined by orientation to gravity; defense of the colony against parasitoids and ants by the resting wasps may be more a passive than an active behavior. Wasps fan their wings to cool the colony during the day, but no foraging for water accompanies the fanning behavior. Nightly foraging activity begins with the explosive departure from the nest of hundreds of wasps, most of which rapidly return. Moderate foraging levels early at night give way to very low foraging levels in pre-dawn hours. The period of moderate foraging may be extended for longer hours during increased moonlight. Foraging wasps collect arthropod provisions for larvae. Larvae produce a trophallactic saliva; adults engage in inter-adult trophallaxis; brood are cannibalized. During cluster formation prior to swarm emigration, adult wasps do not appear to scent-mark substrates such as leaves. Instead,A. pallens exhibits a calling behavior, unique among polistine wasps studied to date, in which the gaster is held rigidly away from the thorax and metasomal sternal glands are exposed. Swarms can emigrate during the day.A. pallens may incorporate absconding and colony relocation as features of its colony cycle in the highly seasonal llanos.  相似文献

Results of a 10-month study of the ecology and behavior of free- ranging woolly spider monkeys (Brachyteles arachnoides)in Brazil show that these animals are strongly folivorous. Leaf-eating accounted for more than 50% of the total feeding time in all samples but one and accounted for more than 80% of the total feeding time in three samples. Mature foliage was routinely eaten. Woolly spider monkeys consistently spend more than 50% of each day quietly resting and sleeping. Animals travel little except when actively feeding and show low levels of social interaction. Such an activity profile suggests that woolly spider monkeys may often be living near the limits of their energetic resources. The social organization of the species is unusual for a folivorous primate in that small groups of females and associated immature animals confine their activities to discrete home-range areas, whereas males are itinerant, traveling over the home ranges of various female groups. Animals sharing a common home-range area show no permanent daily pattern of association other than that of mother-dependent offspring. Foraging alone or with few conspecifics should maximize each individual’s returns from foraging by minimizing the day range that must be traveled each day to locate foods while simultaneously lowering interference competition for higher-quality dietary resources.  相似文献

Summary In the spider Dinopis, retinae of the posterior median eyes synthesise new photoreceptor membrane in bulk at dusk and destroy it at dawn (Blest, 1978). During the dawn period, there is a rapid, anticipatory differentiation of unusual organelles from the rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER) in the intermediate segments of the receptors. This system is classified as GERL. Its products appear to play a role in the autolysis of photoreceptor membrane. Consistent topographical relationship to Golgi bodies has not been determined. Circumscribed regions of RER whorls first reorganise to yield fenestrated profiles; these differentiate further to a number of structures by condensation and loss of ribosomes. Smooth tubular profiles are termed rigid tubules to indicate their probable homology with the rigid lamellae of vertebrate secretory cells. More complex smooth multilocular bodies are also produced. Evidence is discussed which implies that both rigid tubules and multilocular bodies give rise to condensing vacuoles. These, in turn, pinch off coated vesicles assembled as Nebenkerne. Some rigid tubules are transported to the interrhabdomeral cytoplasm of the receptive segments. At late stages of differentiation, rigid tubules, multilocular bodies and Nebenkerne give strong, positive responses to zinc iodide-osmium tetroxide (ZIO) treatment; early stages and both cis and trans Golgi components do not. GERL differentiation is independent of immediate illumination of the retina at dawn. It is suggested to mediate the lysis of membrane degradation products by the production of hydrolases.We thank Professor D.T. To explain photoperiodic induction of diapause in the spider mite Tetranychus urticae a new theoretical model was developed which took into account both the hourglass and rhythmic elements shown to be present in the photoperiodic reaction of these mites. It is emphasized that photoperiodic induction is the result of time measurement as well as the summation and integration of a number of successive photoperiodic cycles: the model, therefore, consists of separate ‘clock’ and ‘counter’ mechanisms. In current views involvement of the circadian system in photoperiodism is interpreted in terms of the hypothesis that the photoperiodic clock itself is based on one or more circadian oscillators. Here a different approach has been chosen as regards the role of the circadian system in photoperiodism: the possibility, previously put forward by other authors, that some aspect of the photoperiodic induction mechanism other than the clock is controlled by the circadian system was investigated by assuming a circadian influence on the photoperiodic counter mechanism. The derivation of this ‘hourglass timer oscillator counter’ model of photoperiodic induction in T. urticae is described and its operation demonstrated on the basis of a number of diel and nondiel photoperiods, with and without light interruptions.  相似文献

Summary Crustaceans, insects and to a lesser degree arachnids have been employed in regeneration studies. Amputation and ligation of the legs was used to determine occurring in a Black Widow spider complied with the developmental gradient model of regeneration. The occurrence of autotomy in this species was also documented. Amputation indicated the most proximal point from which regeneration of the leg could occur was the femoral mid-point. Amputation proximal to that area did not result in leg regeneration. Autotomy following amputation was not observed. Ligation of the legs resulted in autotomy when applied at and proximal to the mid-point of the tibia, increasing in frequency as more proximal segments were ligated. Autotomy always occurred at the trochanter-coxa joint. Autotomized legs did not regenerate. The regeneration observed complied with the developmental gradient model.  相似文献
