Three mutant strains of Chlamydomonas reinhardi were isolated which are negatively phototactic under all conditions tested. Tetrad analysis indicated that these represent three separate, nuclear mutations. Two mutant genes are linked; the third is on a separate chromosome. The peering-jump behavior was studied for the common field grasshopper Chorthippus brunneus , the meadow grasshopper C. parallelus and the alpine grasshopper Miramella alpina (Orthoptera, Caelifera). It was found that immediately before jumping M. alpina executes primarily unilateral object-related peering movements, with approximately twice the amplitude and velocity of the predominantly bilateral object-related peering movements of the other two species. Whereas M. alpina almost always jumped toward the black stripes in the experimental arena, the other species jumped toward both the black stripes and the white spaces between them. All three species preferred the same pattern of black stripes, which permitted them to view one black stripe frontally, with an additional black stripe to the left and right, in the lateral visual field. The similarities and differences in the peering-jump behavior of the three grasshopper species is discussed with regard to visual perception (parallax cues) and environmental adaptation.  相似文献

Behaviour evolved before nervous systems. Various single-celled eukaryotes (protists) and the ciliated larvae of sponges devoid of neurons can display sophisticated behaviours, including phototaxis, gravitaxis or chemotaxis. In single-celled eukaryotes, sensory inputs directly influence the motor behaviour of the cell. In swimming sponge larvae, sensory cells influence the activity of cilia on the same cell, thereby steering the multicellular larva. In these organisms, the efficiency of sensory-to-motor transformation (defined as the ratio of sensory cells to total cell number) is low. With the advent of neurons, signal amplification and fast, long-range communication between sensory and motor cells became possible. This may have first occurred in a ciliated swimming stage of the first eumetazoans. The first axons may have had en passant synaptic contacts to several ciliated cells to improve the efficiency of sensory-to-motor transformation, thereby allowing a reduction in the number of sensory cells tuned for the same input. This could have allowed the diversification of sensory modalities and of the behavioural repertoire. I propose that the first nervous systems consisted of combined sensory-motor neurons, directly translating sensory input into motor output on locomotor ciliated cells and steering muscle cells. Neuronal circuitry with low levels of integration has been retained in cnidarians and in the ciliated larvae of some marine invertebrates. This parallel processing stage could have been the starting point for the evolution of more integrated circuits performing the first complex computations such as persistence or coincidence detection. The sensory-motor nervous systems of cnidarians and ciliated larvae of diverse phyla show that brains, like all biological structures, are not irreducibly complex.  相似文献

【目的】地磁场(geomagnetic field,GMF)不是恒定不变的,而是随时间和空间时刻变化的。目前,动物对磁场变化的响应研究主要集中于迁徙性动物地磁定向导航中的磁感受方面,而迁徙性动物迁出地和迁入地之间地磁场强度差异对动物生理和行为潜在的磁场效应尚不明确。【方法】迁飞性昆虫褐飞虱Nilaparvata lugens试虫采自江苏省农业科学院试验田。本文采用亥姆霍兹线圈室内模拟近零磁场(near-zero magnetic field,NZMF)和GMF,调查了褐飞虱成虫在NZMF和GMF下的翅型分化、趋光性和飞行能力。【结果】结果表明,与GMF相比,NZMF显著提高了褐飞虱雄成虫短翅型比例(6. 4%)(P <0. 05),但对雌成虫长翅型比例影响不显著(P> 0. 05);对于长翅雌成虫,NZMF显著提高了其2日龄成虫的上灯比例(55%)(P <0. 05),但显著降低了其4日龄成虫的上灯比例(22%)(P <0. 05),对趋光性的影响总体呈现出随着龄期先增强后减弱的效应。NZMF对长翅雄成虫趋光性的影响也呈现出相同的效应,但对各日龄成虫的影响不显著(P> 0. 05); NZMF显著缩短了2日龄长翅雄成虫的飞行时间(46%)(P <0. 05),并显著提高了长翅雌成虫(65%)和长翅雄成虫(101%)的飞行速度(P <0. 05)。此外,GMF对照组的褐飞虱长翅雄成虫飞行速度显著低于长翅雌成虫(96%),而NZMF处理组中二者无显著差异。【结论】结果说明,近零磁场可提高褐飞虱成虫短翅比例,对长翅成虫趋光性的影响呈现出基于龄期增长先增强后减弱的效应,并在未影响长翅成虫飞行距离的情况下,改变了其飞行策略,即提高飞行速度,同时缩短飞行时间。  相似文献

探讨减免施药,代之以诱虫板有效诱杀西湖龙井茶园重要害虫,并避免误伤天敌。遂选一大片西湖龙井茶园,于茶园昆虫类群繁盛的7月下旬,连续72 h用芽绿和素馨黄等12种诱虫板诱捕昆虫,解析被捕昆虫的类群组成及其趋色性差异。结果:(1)捕获253870头昆虫,隶属于147种57科8目,半翅目、膜翅目和双翅目是优势类群,依次占总个体数的98.8%、0.6%和0.5%;害虫、天敌和中性昆虫种数分别为61、54和32;(2)黑刺粉虱和茶小绿叶蝉占总个体数94.1%和2.0%;(3)平均每块芽绿、素馨黄色板诱捕茶小绿叶蝉和黑刺粉虱分别是86头和10410头;(4)平均每块墨绿、桃红、天蓝、湖蓝、紫色和纯白色板诱杀的个体数< 400、诱杀的种数≤10、天敌/害虫个体数之比在1/10和1/40之间,被捕昆虫的群落多样性指数H''>1.0;平均每块大红、果绿色板诱杀的个体数 > 450且 < 800、诱杀的种数 > 9且 < 10,天敌/害虫个体数之比值介于1/85和1/45间,0.5 < H'' < 0.7;平均每块桔黄、土黄、芽绿和素馨黄色板诱杀的个体数>3700头、诱捕的种数≥10、天敌/害虫个体数之比<1/100,多样性指数H''<0.5;(5)芽绿、素馨黄、土黄和桔黄诱杀害虫个体数极显著大于其它8种色板诱杀的害虫个体数。认为:在西湖龙井茶园盛夏3日就可诱杀极多昆虫,既说明茶园昆虫种类多且个体数大,又揭示茶园优势种害虫茶小绿叶蝉和黑刺粉虱具有显著趋黄绿色习性,可分别使用芽绿、素馨黄色板诱杀之,还能尽量减少天敌和中性昆虫被误杀,部分地替代化学防治。  相似文献

利用行为学方法研究了340—605nm波谱内14个单色光对东亚小花蝽Orius sauteri(Poppius)成虫的趋、避光行为的影响。结果显示:(1)各单色光均能引起东亚小花蝽成虫趋光行为反应,雌、雄虫的趋光行为反应曲线均为多峰型,峰间主次明显。趋光行为反应率较高的区域有3个,分别是紫外区(340、360 nm和380 nm)、绿光区(524 nm)和橙红光区(582 nm雄虫此处不高、605 nm);(2)各单色光都能引起东亚小花蝽成虫避光行为反应,雌虫避光行为反应曲线为多峰型,避光行为反应率最高的区域为蓝光近紫外区(400 nm),雄虫避光行为曲线为波浪形,避光行为反应率最高的区域为蓝光区(483 nm)。(3)性别对趋光行为反应趋势影响不大,但对趋、避光反应率有较大影响。雌虫趋光反应率最高为47.50%(380 nm),雄虫最高为35.00%(360 nm);雌虫避反应率最高为19.17%(400 nm),雄虫避光反应率最高为11.25%(483 nm)。结果表明:光谱对其趋光行为有一定影响,不同波长之间有较大差异;性别对其光谱行为反应有较大影响。  相似文献

Halyomorpha halys Stål (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) has recently become a major orchard pest in the Mid‐Atlantic, USA. Large H. halys populations can develop on wild tree hosts adjacent to orchards, posing an ongoing threat to fruit. Adults and nymphs feed on tree fruit, causing economic injury. Understanding the seasonal patterns of nymphal host use among trees at the orchard‐woodland interface may aid the development of integrated pest management strategies for this pest. In laboratory and field experiments, modified versions of published trap designs – ‘Circle’, ‘Hanula’, ‘M&M’ (after Moeed & Meads) traps – were compared for their effectiveness for capturing H. halys nymphs walking up and down tree trunks. In the laboratory, second instars were released at the top and bottom of ailanthus (tree of heaven), Ailanthus altissima (Mill.) Swingle (Simaroubaceae), logs and captures were recorded after 24 h. Circle and M&M traps, respectively, were most effective for capturing nymphs walking up and down. In the field, traps were deployed on ailanthus trees next to apple orchards and captures were recorded weekly from 24 July to 11 September 2013. As in the laboratory, Circle and M&M traps captured the greatest number of upward‐ and downward‐walking nymphs. Hanula traps were least effective in both experiments. In the field, 88% of total captures were of nymphs walking up trees. This was at least partially explained by behavioral assays in the laboratory demonstrating that nymphs exhibited negative gravitaxis and positive phototaxis. Stage‐specific trends in captures of instars walking up during field sampling were observed. These results suggest that trunk traps can be used to address important ecological questions about seasonal patterns of host use by H. halys nymphs.  相似文献
