应用中国西北半干旱区定西试验站2005年观测资料,估算了典型的稀疏农作物区空气动力学粗糙度,结合空气动力学模型分析了稀疏植被区空气动力学粗糙度的时间变化及其与风速、植株密度的关系,并得出空气动力学粗糙度的参数化方案;结合卫星遥感得到的植被叶面积指数资料,模拟了区域空气动力学粗糙度,得出:(1)空气动力学粗糙度的时间变化与风速变化规律有相反的特点;在稀疏植被区,粗糙单元分布密度对流场有一定影响,随粗糙单元密度的增加,空气动力学粗糙度将逐渐增大。(2)植株高度超过0.2m时,植被高度和植株密度、叶面积指数对空气动力学粗糙度的影响较大,当植株高度低于0.2m时,风速的影响较大。(3)结合遥感反演的叶面积指数,采用空气动力学粗糙度和叶面积指数及风速的关系,反演了空气动力学粗糙度,反演结果空间分布和误差都反映了实际空气动力学粗糙度的特征,证明空气动力学粗糙度遥感参数化比较成功。  相似文献

The Bateson–Dobzhansky–Muller model predicts that postzygotic isolation evolves due to the accumulation of incompatible epistatic interactions, but few studies have quantified the relationship between genetic architecture and patterns of reproductive divergence. We examined how the direction and magnitude of epistatic interactions in a polygenic trait under stabilizing selection influenced the evolution of hybrid incompatibilities. We found that populations evolving independently under stabilizing selection experienced suites of compensatory allelic changes that resulted in genetic divergence between populations despite the maintenance of a stable, high‐fitness phenotype. A small number of loci were then incompatible with multiple alleles in the genetic background of the hybrid and the identity of these incompatibility loci changed over the evolution of the populations. For F1 hybrids, reduced fitness evolved in a window of intermediate strengths of epistatic interactions, but F2 and backcross hybrids evolved reduced fitness across weak and moderate strengths of epistasis due to segregation variance. Strong epistatic interactions constrained the allelic divergence of parental populations and prevented the development of reproductive isolation. Because many traits with varying genetic architectures must be under stabilizing selection, our results indicate that polygenetic drift is a plausible hypothesis for the evolution of postzygotic reproductive isolation.  相似文献

We investigated the influence of the polyunsaturated docosahexaenoic acid (22:6n-3; DHA) on the constitutive expression of choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) in native and induced expression in differentiated cholinergic cells NG108-15 grown in serum-free medium. Elimination of serum-derived trophic support resulted in growth arrest and a strong decrease of ChAT activity. In either conditions, DHA largely rescued general indicators of cell growth and function, and partially prevented the decrease of ChAT activity. However, the maximal effect on general cell state in native and differentiated cells, and ChAT activity in native cells, was reached at or below 10 μmol/l of DHA. In contrast, maximal induction of ChAT activity in differentiated cells required about six times higher concentrations of DHA. These data thus demonstrate stimulatory effect of DHA on ChAT activity that is independent of its general cell protective properties.  相似文献

During 1999–2001 the chemical composition and fluxes were measured in rainfall, throughfall, soil solution and stream water in a remote forested site in the Italian Alps. The analysis of temporal patterns revealed the differential behaviour of nitrogen and sulphur and suggested that different mechanisms controlled their flux. No important changes in sulphate concentration and fluxes emerged as the solution passed through the various components of the forest ecosystem, and temporal variations of SO4 in the soil solution and stream were likely driven by the physical process of dilution. The availability of nitrate and ammonia, by contrast, was drastically reduced as throughfall water entered the soil and passed through the mineral layers, irrespective of season. The calculated hydrochemical budget based on throughfall and soil solution N fluxes revealed that ~80% N retention in the forest soil, corresponding to 12 kg ha−1 yr−1, despite a relatively high N deposition loading (15 kg ha−1 yr−1). Most of the leached nitrogen (90%) was in the organic form. Indicators of the N status of this ecosystem, such as C/N ratio in solid and solution phase of the soil and N foliage content as well as land use history were examined. Despite the strong N retention in the forested part of the catchment, the stream water N–NO3 levels were consistently above 10 μg l−1 suggesting that the Val Masino catchment as a whole was less efficient in processing atmospheric N inputs. This contrasting N behaviour illustrates the role of landscape features, such as the soil cover and vegetation type, that is characteristic of an alpine catchment.  相似文献

The study focuses on the response of a sulphate rich lowland river (River Spree) to a further increase in sulphate concentration as a result of mining activities in its catchments. It was hypothesized that riverine sediments could be conservative against an increase in sulphate concentration relating to both the intensity of sulphate reduction and the accompanying P mobilization. The usually lower amount of organic matter, compared to lakes or wetlands, and the high contents of iron oxides in the Spree sediment from discharged mining waters should counteract an enhanced P mobilization. Three short-term incubation experiments were carried out to test the sensitivity of different sediment horizons (0–10, 10–20 and 20–30 cm), the influence of temperature (5 and 25 °C) and the effect of a rising sulphate concentration (2.6–7.8 mM) on P mobilization rates (PMR) and sulphate reduction rates (SRR). Contrary to our initial hypothesis sulphate played a key role for P mobilization in riverine sediments because (1) all sulphate treated horizons showed a significant increase in pore water P concentrations, (2) increasing sulphate concentrations led to rising SRR and PMR, (3) the highest response on sulphate-mediated P mobilization was observed by a temperature enhancement of 20 °C. PMR increased one order of magnitude at all tested sulphate concentrations, but these increases in PMR only slightly effected the P concentrations in the overlying water. In conclusions, an increase of internal P load is only expected in case of doubling the recent in situ sulphate concentrations, but extended warm periods as an effect of climate change or increasing temperature, respectively, could be of more importance.  相似文献

Tendon composition changes according to differentiation, mechanical load, and aging. In this study, we attempted to identify, localize, and quantify type VI collagen in bovine tendons. Type VI collagen was identified by the electrophoretic behavior of the alpha chains and Western blotting, and by rotary shadowing. Type VI collagen was extracted from powdered tendon with three sequential 24-h extractions with 4 M guanidine-HCl. The amount of type VI collagen was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for purely tensional areas and for the compressive fibrocartilage regions of the deep flexor tendon of the digits, for the corresponding fetal and calf tendons, and for the extensor digital tendon. The distal fibrocartilaginous region of the adult tendon was richer in type VI collagen than the tensional area, reaching as much as 3.3 mg/g (0.33%) of the wet weight. Calf tendons showed an accumulation of type VI at the fibrocartilage site. Immunocytochemistry demonstrated that type VI collagen was evenly distributed in the tensional areas of tendons but was highly concentrated around the fibrochondrocytes in the fibrocartilages. The results demonstrate that tendons are variable with regard to the presence and distribution of type VI collagen. The early accumulation of type VI collagen in the region of calf tendon that will become fibrocartilage in the adult suggests that it is a good marker of fibrocartilage differentiation. Furthermore, the distribution of type VI collagen in tendon fibrocartilage indicates that it organizes the pericellular environment and may represent a survival factor for these cells.  相似文献

We compared the efficacy of artificial and natural selection processes in purging the genetic load of perpetually small populations. We subjected replicate lines of the housefly (Musca domestica L.), recently derived from the wild, to artificial selection for increased mating propensity (i.e., the proportion of male–female pairs initiating copulation within 30 min) in efforts to cull out the inbreeding depression effects of long-term small population size (as determined by a selection protocol for increased assortative mating). We also maintained parallel non-selection lines for assessing the spontaneous purge of genetic load due to inbreeding alone. We thus evaluated the fitness of artificially and ‘naturally’ purging populations held at census sizes of 40 individuals over the course of 18 generations. We found that the artificially selected lines had significant increases in mating propensity (up to 46% higher from the beginning of the protocol) followed by reversed selection responses back to the initial levels, resulting in non-significant heritabilities. Nevertheless, the ‘naturally’ selected lines had significantly lower fitness overall (a 28% reduction from the beginning of the protocol), although lower effective population sizes could have contributed to this effect. We conclude that artificial selection bolstered fitness, but only in the short-term, because the inadvertent fixation of extant genetic load later resulted in pleiotropic fitness declines. Still, the short-term advantage of the selection protocol likely contributed to the success of the speciation experiment since our recently-derived housefly populations are particularly vulnerable to inbreeding depression effects on mating behavior.  相似文献

Stress is generally thought to increase the strength of selection, although empirical results are mixed and general conclusions are difficult because data are limited. Here we compare the fitness effects of nine independent recessive mutations in Drosophila melanogaster in a high- and low-dietary-stress environment, estimating the strength of selection on these mutations arising from both a competitive measure of male reproductive success and productivity (female fecundity and the subsequent survival to adulthood of her offspring). The effect of stress on male reproductive success has not been addressed previously for individual loci and is of particular interest with respect to the alignment of natural and sexual selection. Our results do not support the hypothesis that stress increases the efficacy of selection arising from either fitness component. Results concerning the alignment of natural and sexual selection were mixed, although data are limited. In the low-stress environment, selection on mating success and productivity were concordant for five of nine mutations (four out of four when restricted to those with significant or near-significant productivity effects), whereas in the high-stress environment, selection aligned for seven of nine mutations (two out of two when restricted to those having significant productivity effects). General conclusions as to the effects of stress on the strength of selection and the alignment of natural and sexual selection await data from additional mutations, fitness components and stressors.  相似文献
