白鲟消化道具有肉食性鱼类的典型特征,其口咽腔结构既适合捕食又适合吞食与滤食水生动物。咽后消化道可分为食道、胃后行支、胃前行支、小肠、瓣肠、直肠与肛门。幽门盲囊似一致密器官,小肠与瓣肠连接处有一特殊淋巴器官,肛门两侧有腹孔。白鲟口咽腔被覆层扁平上皮,上皮内有味蕾分布。咽后消化道组织分层为粘膜(无粘膜肌层)、粘膜下层(小肠及瓣肠前部无)、肌层与外膜。粘膜上皮为单层柱状上皮,由纤毛柱状细胞、一般柱状细胞和杯状细胞组成,其间还散在有颗粒细胞和游走细胞。食道后部与胃的一般柱状细胞为分泌粘液的细胞,肠内的一般柱状细胞为吸收细胞。胃后行支及部分前行支固有膜内有消化腺,其余各部的固有膜为致密层。小肠前中部粘膜形成蜂窝状粘膜窦,无肠腺。除食道前部肌层中有横纹肌外,其余部的肌层均为平滑肌。外膜内结缔组织有的致密有的疏松,外膜表面细胞柱状或立方形或扁平。  相似文献

Summary The interaction ofActinia equina equinatoxin II (EqT-II) with human red blood cells (HRBC) and with model lipid membranes was studied. It was found that HRBC hemolysis by EqT-II is the result of a colloid-osmotic shock caused by the opening of toxin-induced ionic pores. In fact, hemolysis can be prevented by osmotic protectants of adequate size. The functional radius of the lesion was estimated to be about 1.1 nm. EqT-II increased also the permeability of calcein-loaded lipid vesicles comprised of different phospholipids. The rate of permeabilization rised when sphingomyelin was introduced into the vesicles, but it was also a function of the pH of the medium, optimum activity being between pH 8 and 9; at pH 10 the toxin became markedly less potent. From the dose-dependence of the permeabilization it was inferred that EqT-II increases membrane permeability by forming oligomeric channels comprising several copies of the cytolysin monomer. The existence of such oligomers was directly demonstrated by chemical cross-linking. Addition of EqT-II to one side of a planar lipid membrane (PLM) increases the conductivity of the film in discrete steps of defined amplitude indicating the formation of cation-selective channels. The conductance of the channel is consistent with the estimated size of the lesion formed in HRBC. High pH and sphingomyelin promoted the interaction even in this system. Chemical modification of lysine residues or carboxyl groups of this protein changed the conductance, the ion selectivity and the current-voltage characteristic of the pore, suggesting that both these groups were present in its lumen.  相似文献

To determine its accurate taxonomic position, a tidal pool bloom-forming dinoflagellate, Scrippsiella hexapraecingula was re-investigated using light, scanning and transmission electron microscopy together with a phylogenetic analysis based on concatenated ribosomal DNA sequences. The culture strains used in this study were established from intertidal rock pool samples taken from Jogashima, Kanagawa prefecture and Heisaura, Chiba prefecture, Japan and were identified as S. hexapraecingula originally described by Horiguchi and Chihara from a tidal pool in Hachijo Island, Tokyo, Japan in 1983. The thecal plate arrangement was determined as Po, X, 4′, 3a, 6″, 6c, 5s, 5″′, 2″″. The internal structure was investigated for the first time. The organism has typical dinoflagellate cellular organelles such as a dinokaryotic nucleus, mitochondria with tubular cristae, trichocysts and pusule. The chloroplast was single and connected to the central pyrenoid (stalked type). The eyespot found in the sulcus is of the B type with two rows of superficial intraplastidal lipid globules directly overlain by an extraplastidal single layer of crystalline bricks enveloped by a common membrane. The apical pore is plugged by a double-layered stub-like structure. Stalk building material for attachment covered the apical pore. Phylogenetic analysis indicated that S. hexapraecingula was most closely related to a freshwater dinoflagellate, Peridiniopsis borgei, the type species of the genus Peridiniopsis. However, clear differences exist between these two organisms, including their thecal plate arrangement, habitat and habit. As a result, a new genus, Chiharadinium Dawut & T. Horiguchi gen. nov. has been proposed rather than attempting to accommodate S. hexapraecingula in the genus Peridiniopsis. The new combination, Chiharadinium hexapraecingulum (T. Horiguchi & Chihara) Dawut & T. Horiguchi comb. nov. has been proposed.  相似文献

Spatial variability in nutrient concentrations in the intertidal sediments and pore waters has been studied along downshore transects and in core profiles at three locations in the Shannon estuary on the west coast of Ireland. The parameters measured were N, as Kjeldahl N, NO3, NO2, and NH3, and P as total P and PO4 along with a range of other environmental variables such as salinity and sediment organic content. The concentrations of all nutrients varied with season, but winter values were generally low in comparison with polluted mainland european estuaries. There was a great deal of variation in nutrient concentrations along the transects, and coefficients of variability of up to 153% (NH3), 173% (NO3), 129% (NO2) and 117% (PO4) were found. Overall, there was little evidence of any trends in concentration in any of the nutrients from the top to the bottom of the transects, although it was occasionally possible to link particular instances to local conditions such as the presence of the channel or a stream. Sediment core profiles showed typical patterns, with NO3 concentrations for example being highest in surface sediments, while NH3 and PO4 concentrations increased with depth. Rather surprisingly perhaps, NO3 could still be detected on occasion at depths of up to 20 cm, well below the Redox Potential Discontinuity (RPD) and the limit of oxygen penetration which oxygen microelectrodes had measured as being within a few mm of the surface. This was ascribed to the activities of the macrofauna, in that the oxidised sediment which lined the burrows could clearly be seen in some cores. This study not only shows that nutrient distributions along estuarine gradients are linked to physicochemical factors such as oxygenation and freshwater/marine influence, but also that sediment instability, through random physical events such as storms, and macrofaunal activity play an important role and that these latter factors deserve closer attention.  相似文献

Flux and retention of 0.1%w/w aqueous solutions of several proteins [lysozyme, pepsin, bovine serum albumin (BSA), lipase, and gamma-globulin] with molecular weights of 14.6, 36, 67, 801 and 150 kDa are studied when they are tangentially filtered, with transmembrane pressure differences until 1 MPa and circulation velocities in the re-tentate loop from 0.04 to 1.98 m/s (laminar regime), through two asymmetric polysulfone commercial membranes (E-100 with a nominal pore size of 0.01 mum and E-500 with a nominal pore size of 0.04 mum). Results are analyzed with the film theory for the concentration-polarization phenomenon, obtaining the mass transfer coefficient along with the apparent and true retention coefficients for the cell used, as a function of the feed circulation velocity and the molecular weight of the solute. The standard retention curves lead to pore size distributions differing from the nominal ones. These differences can be attributed to the modifications of the membranes when they are in operational conditions, probably due to protein adsorption. (c) 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Females of Drosophila melanogaster collected from five geographically distant populations in India were analysed for the intensity of pigmentation in the 5th, 6th and 7th segments of the abdomen. In all three segments, this intensity was found to vary among individuals of any given population, and, furthermore, different populations differ with respect to this phenotypic trait. Statistical analysis revealed significant intra- and interpopulational variation. A clinical pattern was detected: females from populations closer to the equator tended to have lighter cuticle, in which case differences between the three segments could not be detected and all three segments responded both independently and jointly to latitudinal variation, as indicated by a statistically significant positive correlation between latitude and pigmentation score. This is the first report on abdominal pigmentation analysis in natural populations of D. melanogaster that provides evidence that phenotypic flexibility reflects temperature differences, as a result of which abdominal pigmentation shows geographic differentiation.  相似文献

Unidirectional flux rates of saturated fatty acids, saturated alcohols, and bile acids were measured in an intact rat diaphragm preparation. The logarithm of the permeability coefficients for fatty acids containing from five to ten carbon atoms was a linear function of the number of carbon atoms in the fatty acid chain. Incremental free energies of solution were +336 cal · mol−1 for the addition of a hydroxyl group and −258 cal · mol−1 for the addition of a methylene group. These incremental free energies were similar to those obtained by other investigators in other animal tissues, and our data suggest a structural similarity between membranes in different tissues and in different species. The muscle membrane exhibited anomalously high permeabilities for fatty acids containing less than five carbon atoms. Since muscle lacks tight junctions, this result suggests that small non-electrolytes traverse polar regions or aqueous pores within the cellular membrane.  相似文献

Blue crabs Callinectes latimanus (Rath.) trapped from two lagoons were sexed, measured and weighed. The eggs of the mature females were counted to determine fecundity, and the spermatophores of the males were counted to determine the size of sexual maturity. Sizes at maturity of both male and female crabs were determined. The methods employed and the results are discussed.  相似文献

A study on nutrient regeneration processes and a measure of their fluxes at the sediment-water interface was carried out in two different stations of a shallow lagoon of the Po delta river (Italy). A few parameters on the solid fraction (grain-size, porosity, C, N) and pore water profiles of o-P, NH3, NO inf3 sup– , SiO2, Tot-CO2, SO inf4 sup2– , Fe, Mn, Ca, Mg, pH, Eh were determined. At both stations the results were typical for fine sediments rich in organic matter. The ratio of variations of sulphate (SO inf4 sup2– ) to total carbonate demonstrates the main role sulphate reduction plays on the organic matter decay. The use of the ratios of variations of sulphate (SO inf4 sup2– ) to ammonia (NH3) and of sulphate (SO inf4 sup2– ) to phosphate (o-P) in pore waters enabled us to calculate the C/N/P of the decomposing organic matter. Obtained C/N/P indicated an enrichment of N and P with regard to C/N/P ratios of the solid fraction, due to the selective stripping of N and P during organic matter mineralization. This phenomenon decreases with depth, where organic matter becomes more refractory. Calculations on saturation degrees have shown the possibility of authigenic calcite, apatite and rhodochrosite precipitation in sediments. Nutrient fluxes were estimated for SiO2, NH3 and o-P by means of benthic chambers and modelling the pore water profiles. The model used for the calculation of fluxes allowed us to account for the bioturbation-irrigation influence near the interface, by means of a cumulative diffusion coefficient. Directly measured fluxes proved to be always significantly greater than the theoretical ones. These differences seem to be due to surface processes which do not affect pore water concentrations (degradation of fresh materials at the interface; micro-bioturbation by small gasteropoda such as Hydrobia ventrosa) and/or to the different concept of the two methods in time and space. Number, size and biomass of macrobenthic species living in the sediment underneath the benthic chambers were determined. The comparison between data on macrobenthic populations and flux values showed a good relationship between the number of organisms and benthic fluxes within each station. However, flux variations between stations are to be attributed mainly to the different arrangement of the tubes of the polychaetes Polydora ciliata in the sediment.  相似文献
