The objective of this review is to outline those parts of modelling approaches in pig production which are not highly developed; these are the partitioning of protein and lipid accretion in different anatomical body parts. The authors introduce present models with a critical evaluation and draw some conlusions for further developments. Based on present knowledge this paper demonstrates the process of protein and fat accretion in different body compartments in pigs and influencing factors. A further aim is to assist in the conceptual development of a new pig model, which is more detailed, precise and accurate than currently available models. Exsisting models are generally deficient with regard to the translation of lipid and protein gain into lean and fatty tissue. Only assumed values for this translation have been used so far and the concepts underlying these values are not well understood. Therefore, it may be appropriate to develop a compartimental model to predict protein and fat deposition in growing and fattening pigs. With this new approach the model can supply sufficiently the changing consumer demands regarding to the possibility of meat quality prediction.  相似文献

【背景】脂肪酶是一类特殊的酯键水解酶,广泛应用于工业化生产中,微生物是工业脂肪酶的主要来源。瘤胃中微生物种类繁多、数量庞大,已有关于瘤胃微生物产纤维素酶的报道,尚无产脂肪酶瘤胃微生物的分离筛选报道。【目的】从牦牛瘤胃中分离筛选出能够产脂肪酶的微生物,并进行菌株鉴定及其酶学性质的研究。【方法】以橄榄油为唯一碳源,通过中性红油脂平板进行初步筛选后,用改进铜皂-分光光度法测定酶活力进行复筛;再经形态学观察、生理生化实验和16S rRNA基因序列分析进行菌种鉴定;研究3种脂肪酶的最适作用温度、pH值及金属离子、有机溶剂和表面活性剂对酶活力的影响。【结果】筛选出6株酶活力较高的菌株,其中3株为液化沙雷氏菌,2株为白地霉,1株为卷枝毛霉。脂肪酶的酶学性质研究表明:液化沙雷氏菌、白地霉和卷枝毛霉所产脂肪酶的最适作用温度为45、35和40°C;最适pH为8.0、7.0和7.0;Ca2+和Mg2+对3种脂肪酶均有激活作用;Zn2+对3种脂肪酶有不同程度的抑制作用,EDTA、SDS可使3种脂肪酶失活;3种脂肪酶对丙三醇的耐受力较高,卷枝毛霉脂肪酶对甲醇、乙醇、丙酮的耐受力较高。【结论】从牦牛瘤胃中分离出3种产脂肪酶的微生物,且证实瘤胃微生物在脂肪酶研究方面具有较高的价值。  相似文献

The unidirectional transport and metabolism of 14C-labeled acetate, propionate and butyrate across the isolated bovine rumen epithelium was measured in vitro by the Ussing chamber technique. There was a significant, but relatively small, net secretion of acetate and propionate, and a large and significant net absorption of butyrate. The results demonstrate that the mucosal-serosal (MS) pathway for short-chain fatty acids (SCFA) is different from the serosal-mucosal (SM) pathway, and that butyrate is treated differently from acetate and propionate by the epithelium. The results support that the main route for epithelial SCFA transport is transcellular. The correlation between SCFA lipophility and the flux rate was positive but weak at both pH 7.3 and 6.0. Decreasing pH increased all SCFA fluxes significantly, but not proportionally to the increase of protonized SCFA in the bathing solution. There was a significant and apparently non-competitive interaction between the transport of acetate, propionate and butyrate. It seems that mediated transport mechanisms must be involved in epithelial SCFA transport in the bovine rumen, but the data do not exclude that passive diffusion could account for a significant part of the flux. The metabolism of SCFA in the Ussing chamber system was considerable, and there was a clear preference for excretion of CO2 from this metabolism to the mucosal side, while side preference for non-CO2 metabolite excretion was not studied. Of the propionate and butyrate transported in the MS direction, 78 and 95% was metabolised, while only 37 and 38% was metabolised in the SM direction (acetate metabolism could not be measured). There was, however, no simple relation between the degree of metabolism and the transport rate or the transport asymmetry of the SCFA.  相似文献

The renal organs of 32 species of cephalopods (renal appendage of all cephalopods, and renal and pancreatic appendages in decapods) were examined for parasite fauna and for histological comparison. Two phylogenetically distant organisms, dicyemid mesozoans and chromidinid ciliates, were found in 20 cephalopod species. Most benthic cephalopods (octopus and cuttlefish) were infected with dicyemids. Two pelagic cephalopod species, Sepioteuthis lessoniana and Todarodes pacificus, also harbored dicyemids. Chromidinid ciliates were found only in decapods (squid and cuttlefish). One dicyemid species was found in branchial heart appendages of Rossia pacifica. Dicyemids and chromidinids occasionally occurred simultaneously in Euprymna morsei, Sepia kobiensis, S. peterseni, and T. pacificus. The small-sized cephalopod species, Idiosepius paradoxus and Octopus parvus, harbored no parasites. Comparative histology revealed that the external surface of renal organs varies morphologically in various cephalopod species. The small-sized cephalopod species have a simple external surface. In contrast, the medium- to large-sized cephalopod species have a complex external surface. In the medium- to large-sized cephalopod species, their juveniles have a simple external surface of the renal organs. The external surface subsequently becomes complicated as they grow. Dicyemids and chromidinids attach their heads to epithelia or insert their heads into folds of renal appendages, pancreatic appendages, and branchial heart appendages. The rugged and convoluted external surface provides a foothold for dicyemids and chromidinids with a conical head. They apparently do not harm these tissues of their host cephalopods.  相似文献

The diversity of methanogenic archaea associated with different species of ciliated protozoa in the rumen was analysed. Partial fragments of archaeal SSU rRNA genes were amplified from DNA isolated from single cells from the rumen protozoal species Metadinium medium, Entodinium furca, Ophryoscolex caudatus and Diplodinium dentatum. Sequence analysis of these fragments indicated that although all of the new isolates clustered with sequences previously described for methanogens, there was a difference in the relative distribution of sequences detected here as compared to that of previous work. In addition, many of the novel sequences, although clearly of archaeal origin have relatively low identity to the sequences in database which are most closely related to them.  相似文献

In Paramecium, several kinds of the oral networks of fine filaments are defined at the ultrastructural level. Using the sodium chloride-treated oral apparatus of Paramecium as an antigen to produce monoclonal antibodies, we have begun to identify the proteins constituting these networks. Immunoblotting showed that all positive antibodies were directed against three bands (70-, 75-and 83-kD), which corresponded to quantitatively minor components of the antigen; there was no antibody specific for the quantitatively major components (58- and 62-kD). Immunolocalization with four of these antibodies directed against one or several of these three bands showed that these proteins are components of the fine filaments supporting the oral area; a decoration of the basal bodies and the outer lattice was also observed on the cortex. Immunofluorescence on interphase cells suggested that the three proteins colocalized on the left side of the oral apparatus, whereas only the 70-kD band was detected on the right side. During division, the antigens of the antibodies were detected at different stages after oral basal body assembly. The antibodies cross-reacted with the tetrins, which are oral filament-forming proteins in Tetrahymena, demonstrating that tetrin-related proteins are quantitatively minor components of the oral and the somatic cytoskeleton of Paramecium.  相似文献

This is the first extensive study of soil protozoa of arid lands. Twenty-six samples from litters, soils, termitaria, and a cyanobacterial crust, collected from central and south Australian arid lands, were analyzed for numbers and species of gymnamoebae, ciliates, and testacea. Amoebae ranged from 1,000-5,000/g of material, and were two orders of magnitude more abundant than ciliates. Both groups increased in abundance and species richness from bare soils through spinifex to mulga to chenopod vegetations. Testacea ranged 900-5,000/g with similar species richness throughout vegetations, but reached 11,900/g with a doubling of species in a refugium in Kings Canyon. The most prevalent species of amoebae, ciliates, and testacea were taxa associated with ephemeral and disturbed habitats (r-selection). The cyanobacterial crust might be considered a micro-refugium because it contained a number of non-encysting protozoa, including Thecamoeba sp. and Nassula picta, feeding on cyanobacterial filaments. The numbers and species richness of protozoa under shrubs were greater than in bare soils, supporting the resource island hypothesis that desert plants create soil heterogeneity by localizing soil fertility under their canopies.  相似文献

Summary.  An in vitro experiment was conducted to test the ability of mixed rumen bacteria (B), protozoa (P), and their mixture (BP) to utilize the oxidized forms of methionine (Met) e.g., methionine sulfoxide (MSO), methionine sulfone (MSO2). Rumen contents were collected from fistulated goats to prepare the microbial suspensions and were anaerobically incubated at 39°C for 12 h with or without MSO (1 mM) or MSO2 (1 mM) as a substrate. Met and other related compounds produced in both the supernatants and hydrolyzates of the incubation were analyzed by HPLC. During 6- and 12-h incubation periods, MSO disappeared by 28.3 and 42.0%, 0.0 and 0.0%, and 40.6 and 62.4% in B, P, and BP suspensions, respectively. Rumen bacteria and the mixture of rumen bacteria and protozoa were capable to reduce MSO to Met, and the production of Met from MSO in BP (156.6 and 196.1 μmol/g MN) was about 17.3 and 14.1% higher than that in B alone (133.5 and 171.9 μmol/g MN) during 6- and 12-h incubations, respectively. On the other hand, mixed rumen protozoa were unable to utilize MSO. Other metabolites produced from MSO were found to be MSO2 and 2-aminobutyric acid (2AB) in B and BP. MSO2 as a substrate remained without diminution in all-microbial suspensions. It was concluded that B, P, and BP cannot utilize MSO2; but MSO can be utilized by B and BP for producing Met.
