2015年4~8月,在贵州宽阔水国家级自然保护区,记录到1巢白腹短翅鸲(Hodgsonius phaenicuroides)被鹰鹃(Cuculus sparverioides)寄生,寄生率为1/16(n=16)。发现时白腹短翅鸲巢内有1枚白色的寄生卵和2枚蓝色的寄主卵,且卵已凉,疑为亲鸟弃巢。鹰鹃卵重6.09 g,卵大小20.20 mm×27.73 mm;两枚白腹短翅鸲的卵重分别为2.34 g和2.40 g,大小分别为20.05 mm×14.94 mm和19.95 mm×15.09 mm。鹰鹃的卵重量(6.09 g)和大小(27.73 mm×20.20 mm)均明显大于白腹短翅鸲的卵。卵色光谱测量结果表明,鹰鹃和白腹短翅鸲卵色的反射光谱图差别明显,鹰鹃卵在色度和色调上明显低于白腹短翅鸲,但卵色亮度却明显比白腹短翅鸲卵高,为典型的非模拟寄生卵。  相似文献

本研究将2009年1月和2010年1月小兴安岭大沾河湿地自然保护区二可河林场内驼鹿冬季食性作为原始数据,分别以对应分析(CA)、去趋势分析(DCA),并将数据以样本为单位进行标准化后,再进行去趋势分析(DCA_std)3种排序方法,对驼鹿冬季取食模式进行了研究,后通过普鲁克分析,比较了不同排序方法对大型有蹄类取食模式研究的效果。结果表明,3种排序法的1轴和2轴均能涵盖绝大多数信息量,CA涵盖79.27%,DCA涵盖66.65%,DCA_std涵盖68.22%;3种方法均能够在1轴上区分针叶树和落叶乔木类食物,在2轴上,3种方法主要能够达到针叶树种与除落叶乔木外的其他植物类别的区分。虽三者均能够展现有蹄类取食模式,但在图形可视化后,仅DCA_std无明显的弓形效应。普鲁克分析结果表明,DCA_std样本位移平方和与CA和DCA均有很大差异,即将数据先进行标准化再进行DCA分析能够有效去除弓形效应。因此,在由多度组成的食性数据在进行标准DCA分析前,应对数据进行前期处理会得到更好的效果。同时,以样本为单位的标准化将使排序分析结果生态学意义更明确。  相似文献

The domestication and artificial selection of wild boars have led to dramatic morphological and behavioral changes, especially in East Chinese (ECN) pigs. Here, we provide insights into the population structure and current genetic diversity of representative ECN pig breeds. We identify a 500-kb region containing six tooth development-relevant genes with almost completely different haplotypes between ECN pigs and Chinese wild boars or European domestic pigs. Notably, the c.195A>G missense mutation in exon 2 of AMBN may cause alterations in its protein structure associated with tusk degradation in ECN pigs. In addition, ESR1 may play an important role in the reproductive performance of ECN pigs. A major haplotype of the large lop ear-related MSRB3 gene and eight alleles in the deafness-related GRM7 gene may affect ear morphology and hearing in ECN pigs. Interestingly, we find that the two-end black (TEB) coat color in Jinhua pigs is most likely caused by EDNRB with genetic mechanisms different from other Chinese TEB pigs. This study identifies key loci that may be artificially selected in Chinese native pigs related to the tusk, coat color, and ear morphology, thus providing new insights into the genetic mechanisms of domesticated pigs.  相似文献

A three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method has been developed to model the flow in the left heart including atrium and ventricle. Since time resolution of the medical scans does not fit the requirements of the CFD calculations, the main challenge in a numerical simulation of heart chambers is wall motion modeling. This study employs a novel three-dimensional approximation scheme to correlate the wall boundary and grid movement in systole and diastole. It uses a geometry extracted from medical images in the literature and deformed based on the reported flow rates. The opening and closing of the mitral (MV) and the aortic valve (AV) considered as simultaneous events. Unstructured tetragonal grids were used for the meshing of the domain. The calculation was performed by a Navier–Stokes solver using the arbitrary Lagrange–Euler (ALE) formulation. Results show that the proposed correlation for the wall motion could predict the main features of heart flows.  相似文献

Metastatic cancer cells are highly plastic for the expression of different tumor phenotype hallmarks and organotropism. This plasticity is highly regulated but the dynamics of the signaling processes orchestrating the shift from one cell phenotype and metastatic organ pattern to another are still largely unknown. The scaffolding protein NHERF1 has been shown to regulate the expression of different neoplastic phenotypes through its PDZ domains, which forms the mechanistic basis for metastatic organotropism. This reprogramming activity was postulated to be dependent on its differential phosphorylation patterns. Here, we show that NHERF1 phosphorylation on S279/S301 dictates several tumor phenotypes such as in vivo invasion, NHE1-mediated matrix digestion, growth and vasculogenic mimicry. Remarkably, injecting mice with cells having differential NHERF1 expression and phosphorylation drove a shift from the predominantly lung colonization (WT NHERF1) to predominately bone colonization (double S279A/S301A mutant), indicating that NHERF1 phosphorylation also acts as a signaling switch in metastatic organotropism.  相似文献

The present study was aimed at evaluating of the effects of dopamine (DA) toxicity on PC12 cells' calcium homeostasis, cellular viability, and free radical levels. Moreover, the effect of receptor inhibition, and DA metabolism and reuptake antagonism on all parameters was also evaluated. Acute treatment with DA impaired the ability of PC12 cells to buffer excess calcium after K+-depolarization, decreased cellular viability by approximately 35%, and increased free radical levels by about 10% in a dose dependent manner. Pretreatment with both active and inactive pargyl monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOi) protected PC12 cells from DA toxicity on cellular viability and free radical levels, regardless of the presence or absence of their target enzymes in PC12 cells. These results suggest a lack of specific involvement of DA metabolism by MAO in dopamine's effects on cellular viability and production of free radicals. However, DA-induced dysregulation of calcium homeostasis seems to be more specifically mediated by DA metabolism by MAO. Results indicate that, in order for toxicity to occur the DA must be taken up into the cells. DA receptors do not mediate dopamine cytoxicity, and the D2 receptor plays a modest role in DA-induced calcium dysregulation and generation of free radicals. Moreover, DA-induced cell viability loss is not mediated by calcium, nor by caspase-3 enzyme, but is prevented by inhibition of mitochondrial permeability transition pores.  相似文献

The tip growth of filamentary actinomycetes is investigated within the framework of large deformation membrane theory in which the cell wall is represented as a growing elastic membrane with geometry-dependent elastic properties. The model exhibits realistic hyphal shapes and indicates a self-similar tip growth mechanism consistent with that observed in experiments. It also demonstrates a simple mechanism for hyphal swelling and beading that is observed in the presence of a lysing agent.  相似文献

Epithelial ovarian cancer is the most common form of gynaecological malignancy. This lethal disease is thought to arise in ovarian surface epithelial (OSE) cells. The biology of these cells is not well understood, due to the limited amount of tissue that can be obtained from a single biopsy and their limited life span in culture. To overcome these problems, we have conditionally immortalised OSE cells with the catalytic subunit of telomerase (hTERT) and a temperature-sensitive form of SV40 Large T antigen (tsT). We have maintained these cells (designated OSE-C2) in culture for more than 100 population doublings after introduction of the immortalising genes. Early passage OSE-C2 cells have a near-tetraploid karyotype and exhibit a dual mesenchymal-epithelial phenotype, with consistent expression of vimentin and variable expression of cytokeratins and type III collagen, and absence of E cadherin expression. OSE-C2 cells proliferate steadily at the permissive temperature of 33 degrees C, but fail to increase in number at the nonpermissive temperature of 39 degrees C. Serum-deprived OSE-C2 cells are stimulated to grow at 33 degrees C by EGF, whereas they are growth inhibited at 33 degrees C by TGFbeta in the presence or the absence of serum. When temperature shifted to the nonpermissive temperature, OSE-C2 cells modulate to a more mesenchymal phenotype, and a proportion of the cells undergo senescence and/or apoptosis. Moreover, at the nonpermissive temperature, the levels of p53 and SV40 Large T antigen diminish, whilst the level of p21 increases, whereas the level of p16 and telomerase activity is unchanged. This experimental system shows that expression of telomerase alone only allows limited proliferative potential of OSE cells; expression of tsT is necessary to maintain these cells in culture for longer periods, perhaps by its ability to inactivate components of the p53/Rb pathway. OSE-C2 cells may be useful in studying the physiology and differentiation of human OSE cells and provide insight into the poorly understood earliest stages of epithelial ovarian cancer.  相似文献

The effect of temperature on membrane hydraulic conductivity   总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5  
The objective of this study was to use the temperature dependence of water permeability to suggest the physical mechanisms of water transport across membranes of osmotically slowly responding cells and to demonstrate that insight into water transport mechanisms in these cells may be gained from easily performed experiments using an electronic particle counter. Osmotic responses of V-79W Chinese hamster fibroblast cells were measured in hypertonic solutions at various temperatures and the membrane hydraulic conductivity was determined. The results were fit with the general Arrhenius equation with two free parameters, and also fit with two specific membrane models each having only one free parameter. Data from the literature including that for human bone marrow stem cells, hamster pancreatic islets, and bovine articular cartilage chondrocytes were also examined. The results indicated that the membrane models could be used in conjunction with measured permeability data at different temperatures to investigate the method of water movement across various cell membranes. This approach for slower responding cells challenges the current concept that the presence of aqueous pores is always accompanied by an osmotic water permeability value, P(f)>0.01 cm/s. The possibility of water transport through aqueous pores in lower-permeability cells is proposed.  相似文献

The bacterial level of soft feces is higher than that of hard feces in nutrias. This suggests the heterogeneity of bacterial density in the large intestine. To show the heterogeneity of bacteria in the contents of the large intestine in nutrias, we divided the contents of the large intestine into 12 regions, then measured the nitrogen (N), total amino acids (TAA) and diaminopimelic acid (DAP), a bacterial marker, of these regions. Levels of N, TAA and DAP varied along the cross section of the proximal colon. The greater curvature of the main lumen and furrow had higher N, TAA and DAP concentrations than the lesser curvature. We also examined the involvement of the furrow in producing two types of feces differing in bacterial nitrogen content by surgically preventing the flow of the furrow contents. We compared the concentrations of N, TAA and DAP between soft and hard feces among operated, sham-operated and intact animals. Surgical closure of the furrow abolished the difference in levels of N, TAA and DAP between soft and hard feces, suggesting that the furrow of the proximal colon is responsible for making the bacterial density higher in soft feces than in hard feces.
