Summary This paper describes some current work pertaining to transformation of cells by oncogenic viruses.
Part I includes: (1) the effect of a deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) tumor virus (SV40) on the antigenic characteristics of transformed
cells; (2) in vitro and in vivo methods of detecting virus-specific surface antigens; (3) the role that the host cell may
play in the expression of virus-coded antigens; and (4) the presence of virus-induced antigens as a possible mechanism of
the apparent nononcogenicity of certain virus variants.
Part II discusses (1) the physicochemical properties of the nucleic acid of a ribonucleic acid (RNA) tumor virus-the Moloney
sarcoma-leukemia virus (MSV-MLV) complex —(2) a preliminary analysis of viral RNA replication in cells transformed by MSV-MLV,
and (3) application to human tumors.

Both red and blue light pulses are separately shown to retarddark-stimulated chlorophyll loss of papaya leaf discs suggestingparticipation of phytochrome and blue light photoreceptors inregulating the pigment loss. The red light effect is fully reversibleby far-red light. The partial failure of far-red pulses to reversethe action of blue light suggests that blue light effect maynot be entirely through the phytochrome action. The apparentineffectiveness of continuous white light to check the chlorophyllloss is attributed to a balance of photooxidation and photoprotectionof the pigment. The interaction of blue light and kinetin at its different concentrationssuggests that the effect of interactions is additive. Vanishing white matter (VWM) is a hereditary human disease, mostly prevalent in childhood caused by the defects in the eukaryotic initiation factor beta subunits. It is the first disease involved in the translation initiation factor, eIF2B. There is no specific treatment for VWM which mainly affect the brain and ovaries. The gray matter remains normal in all characteristics while the white matter changes texture, coming to the pathophysiology, many initiation factors are involved in the initiation of translation of mRNAs into polypeptides. In this study, the three-dimensional structure of PhMTNA protein was modeled and the stability ascertained through Molecular dynamic simulation (MDS) for 100?ns. The active site residues are conserved with the reported BsMTNA structure which is also confirmed through sitemap prediction. Through virtual screening and induced fit docking, top five leads against PhMTNA protein was identified based on their binding mode and affinity. ADME properties and DFT (Density Functional Theory) studies of these compounds were studied. In addition to that, computational mutagenesis studies were performed to identify the hotspot residues involved in the protein-ligand interactions. Overall analysis showed that the compound NCI_941 has a highest binding energy of ?46.256?kcal mol?1 in the Arg57Ala mutant. Thus, the results suggest that NCI_941 would act as a potent inhibitor against PhMTNA protein. 相似文献

Detached fern leaves show a loss in the content of pigments,protein and a decline in 2,6-dichlorophenol indophenol Hillreaction of isolated chloroplasts during aging. Light treatmentof leaves could considerably retard aging induced loss in 2,6-dichlorophenolindophenol photoreduction but it exhibits less effect on pigmentand protein loss.
