The wheat stripe (yellow) rust is one of the most important diseases in Iran. In this study, 41 races out of 104 isolates in greenhouse were determined from 2008 to 2010. Races 6E6A+, 6E10A+ and 6E0A+ were more common. Races 0E0A+ was less aggressive than races 166E158A+ and 134E158A+ with virulence on 11 known genes. Virulence on plant/s with gene/s Yr1, Yr2, Yr4, Yr6, Yr7, Yr8, Yr9, Yr10, Yr25, Yr27, YrSU, YrSD, YrND, Yr3, Yr2+, Yr6+, Yr9+, Yr7+, YrCV and YrA was detected. The majority of isolates with high frequency (more than 70%) showed virulence on plant/s with Yr2, Yr7, Yr9 and YrA genes. No virulence was detected on plant/s with Yr3, Yr5 and YrSP. In greenhouse test, frequency of virulence to wheat genotypes with Yr1, Yr4, Yr10, YrCV (32+) and YrSD gene was less than 7%. Frequency of virulence to other wheat genotypes was between 8 and 100%.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Exo– and endo–adsorption of ethylene oxide (EO) on pristine (9,0) (zigzag) carbon nanotube (CNT) and its doped forms with silicon (Si–CNT), aluminum (Al–CNT) and boron (B–CNT) were investigated using density functional theory (DFT) at M06–2X/6–311++G** level. The natural bond orbital (NBO) and the quantum theory of atoms in molecules (QTAIM) analyses were also performed by using the same level of theory. The effect of the doping on sensing behaviour of the CNT toward EO molecule was investigated through intermolecular interactions studies by calculation of total and partial density of states (DOS, PDOS). The enhanced sensitivity of doped–CNTs towards EO molecule associated with adsorption energies (Eads) and the changes in geometric and electronic structures was examined and the global chemical reactivity parameters were calculated and comprehensively analysed. The thermodynamic property changes were calculated and compared. The results indicated that the EO adsorption on the pristine and doped CNTs was an exothermic spontaneous process. Moreover, based on the calculated Eg change (ΔEg) and Eads values, Al–CNT with superior sensitivity for sensing of EO molecule, indicates promising perspectives for its use in fabrication of new EO gas–sensing devices.  相似文献

The immunoregulatory effects of dietary omega-3 fatty acids are still not fully characterized. The aim of this study was to determine whether dietary eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) intake limits intestinal ischemia–reperfusion (IR) injury. To test this, rats were fed either control or EPA/DHA supplemented diet for 3 weeks following which they underwent either a sham or an IR surgical protocol. A significant reduction in mucosal damage was observed after EPA/DHA supplemented diet as reflected by maintenance of total protein content. To address the underlying mechanisms of protection, we measured parameters of oxidative stress, intestinal and serological cytokines and intestinal eicosanoids. Interestingly, EPA/DHA fed animals displayed a higher activity of oxidative stress enzyme machinery, i.e., superoxide dismutase and catalase in addition to a reduction in total nitrate/nitrite content. While no changes in cytokines were observed, eicosanoid analyses of intestinal tissue revealed an increase in metabolites of the 12-lipoxygenase pathway following IR. Further, IR in EPA/DHA fed animals was accompanied by a significant increase of 17,18-epoxyeicosatetraenoic acid, 8-Iso prostaglandin F and thromboxane B3, by more than 12-, 6-, 3-fold, respectively. Thus, the data indicate that EPA/DHA supplementation may be able to reduce early intestinal IR injury by anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory mechanisms.  相似文献

Diabetes Mellitus is affecting people of all age groups worldwide. Many synthetic medicines available for type 2 diabetes mellitus in the market. However, there is a strong requirement for the development of better anti-diabetes compounds sourced especially from natural sources like medicinal plants. The extracts from the leaves of neem (Azadirachta indica) is traditionally known to have anti-diabetes properties. Therefore, there is an increased interest to identify potential compounds identified from neem leaf extracts showing predicted binding property with the known diabetes mellitus type 2 protein enzyme target phosphoenol-pyruvate carboxykinase(PEPCK). The structure data for compounds found in the leaf extract of neem was screened against PEPCK using molecular docking simulation and screening techniques. Results show that the compound 3-Deacetyl-3-cinnamoyl-azadirachtin possesses best binding properties with PEPCK. This observation finds application for further consideration in in vitro and in vivo validation.  相似文献

Although mountain ranges are often recognized as global biodiversity hotspots with a high level of endemism, diversity and biogeographic connections of isolated and weakly explored mountains remain poorly understood. This is also the case for Shirkuh Mts. in central Iran. Here, Yazdana shirkuhensis gen. & spec. nov. (Caryophylleae, Caryophyllaceae) is described and illustrated from the high alpine zone of this mountain. Molecular phylogenetic analyses of nuclear and plastid DNA sequence data show that Y. shirkuhensis is related to Cyathophylla and Heterochroa (tribe Caryophylleae). The newly described genus and species accentuate Shirkuh Mts. as a center of endemism, which harbors a high number of narrowly distributed species, mostly in high elevations reaching alpine habitats. As this area is currently not protected, a conservation priority is highlighted for high elevations of Shirkuh Mts.  相似文献

Glyphosate is a non-selective broad-spectrum herbicide that inhibits 5-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase (EPSPS). This is a key enzyme in the aromatic amino acid biosynthesis pathway of microorganisms and plants. The manipulation of bacterial EPSPS gene in order to reduce its affinity for glyphosate, followed by its transfer to plants is one of the most effective approaches for the production of glyphosate-tolerant plants. In this study, we chose to focus on amino acid residues glycine96 and alanine183 of the E. coli (k12) EPSPS enzyme. These two amino acids are important residues for glyphosate binding. We used site directed mutagenesis (SDM) to induce point mutations in the E. coli EPSPS gene, in order to convert glycine96 to alanine (Gly96Ala) and alanine183 to threonine (Ala183Thr). After confirming the mutation by sequencing, the altered EPSPS gene was transferred to rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) via Agrobacterium-mediated transformation. The transformed explants were screened in shoot induction medium containing 25 mg L−1 kanamycin. Glyphosate tolerance was assayed in putative transgenic plants. Statistical analysis of data showed that there was a significant difference between the transgenic and control plants. It was observed that transgenic plants were resistant to glyphosate at a concentration of 10 mM whereas the non-transformed control plants were unable to survive 1 mM glyphosate. The presence and copy numbers of the transgene were confirmed with PCR and Southern blotting analysis, respectively.  相似文献
