Results from preliminary experimental research of neutron emission generated by a spherical plasma focus chamber filled with an equal-component deuterium-tritium mixture are presented. At a maximum current amplitude in the discharge chamber of ~1.5 MA, neutron pulses with a full width at half-maximum of 75–80 ns and an integral yield of ~1.3 × 1013 DT neutrons have been recorded. 相似文献

Distribution of acetylator phenotypes in the normal Moscow city population and in chronic alcoholism 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The distribution of acetylator phenotypes was studied in 169 normal individuals of Moscow Russian population and 75 inhabitants of Moscow suffering from chronic alcoholism. Polymorphism was found by means of acetylation in both groups studied. The proportion of repeatability of rapid and slow acetylators amounts to 48 and 52% among normal individuals, 44 and 56% among those who suffer from chronic alcoholism. The comparative analyses of such repeatability within the classes resulted in authentic increase of the rate of rapid acetylators among the chronic alcoholics (chi 2 = 18.32; p less than 0.01); in comparison with normal individual groups, (the modes being in classes 50-60% and 80-90%, with the antimode 70-80%), a shift of one of the modes from the 50-60% class into the 60-70% class was traced among diseased individuals. It is supposed that chronic alcohol consumption stimulates the process of acetylation; possible reasons for this stimulation are discussed. 相似文献

The mass destruction of domestic birds has been registered in July, 2005 in Novosibirsk region. Influenza virus H5N1 have been isolated from bodies of the lost birds on developing chicken embryos and identified by serological and molecular biological methods. M-gene and genes coding hemagglutinin and neurominidase were in part sequening. The phylogenetic analysis of hemagglutinin gene has shown, that the isolated viruses are forming a claster with strains, isolated from birds during outbreak of the bird's flu on lake Tsinghai (Qinghai) in China in 2005, in Japan in 2004, and also with H5N1 strains, isolated from the person and birds in the countries of Southeast Asia during ipizootia in 2003-2004. The site of the restriction which associated with pathogenicity of isolated avian influenza viruses H5 serogroup, corresponds to sequence of high pathogenic strains, circulating in the countries of Southeast Asia. The test for pathogenicity with use of chickens has confirmed, that researched strains were high pathogenic for birds. 相似文献

Multifactorial experiments were performed to study the diurnal dynamics of CO2 exchange in intact cucumber plants (Cucumis sativus L.). Based on experimental data, we analyzed the models of net photosynthesis, night respiration, and biomass accumulation. This analysis allowed us to resolve the growth component of respiration and to determine the diurnal temperature pattern that is optimal for biomass accumulation. It was found that the most profound transformation of assimilates into the biomass occurs under the maximum ratio of growth respiration to maintenance respiration. Under the experimental conditions used, this requirement was fulfilled at a temperature of 25°C during the photoperiod (optimum of net photosynthesis) and at subsequent gradual cooling to a hardening temperature (13°C by the end of the night). 相似文献

Effect of surplus glucose on physiological and biochemical parameters of leaves of different age was investigated in sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L., subsp. saccharifera) plants in the stages of vegetative growth (SVG). Early and late SVG were differentiated by the ratio between the weights of roots and aboveground organs (0.10 and 0.35, respectively). The excess of Glu was produced by incubation of the disks excised from detached leaves in water or 0.1 M Glu at radiant flux density of 250 μmol/(m2 s) with the light regime pattern described as night/day/night/light (8/16/8/3 h). In all the leaf disks incubated in water and glucose solution, the content of Glu and other soluble carbohydrates considerably increased as compared with their content in the leaves they were taken from. After disk incubation in water and glucose solution, the content of chlorophyll (a + b) rose as compared with its level in respective leaves in early SVG; in late SVG, it declined. In early SVG, the rate of the O2 photosynthetic evolution (Ph) in the ageing leaves under saturating concentration of NaHCO3 after incubation in water and Glu solution declined more considerably than in young leaves. In late SVG, incubation of leaf disks in water and Glu solution weakly affected P n. The rate of O2 dark consumption in the leaf disks of all the types of treatment increased after incubation in water and especially in Glu solution. Activity of soluble carbonic anhydrase (sCA) in the extracts from young leaves in early SVG after their incubation in water and Glu solution was essentially the same, but after the incubation of ageing leaves in Glu solution, it reliably decreased. In late SVG, sCA activity sharply decreased after incubation in water and Glu solution irrespective of the leaf age. In late SVG, activity of Rubisco in the young leaves did not change after their incubation in water but decreased after incubation of the leaves of the three ages in Glu solution. In early SVG, nonphotochemical fluorescence quenching (NPQ) in the young intact leaf was lower than in the ageing leaf, and after leaf incubation in water and Glu solution, it rose. In late SVG, the value of NPQ was greater than in early SVG and, in contrast to the leaves of early SVG, it declined after leaf incubation; in water, this decline was more pronounced than in the Glu solution. In early SVG, efficient quantum yield of photosystem II (PSII) was much greater than in late SVG and it declined in the leaves incubated with Glu. It was concluded that surplus Glu can maintain biosynthetic processes in the young leaves of young sugar beet plants (trophic function). A decline in the level of chlorophyll and the activities of sCA and Rubisco in the course of leaf development and senescence is considered as a symptom of the suppression of biosynthesis of proteins of chlorophyll-protein complexes and the enzymes (Rubisco and sCA). 相似文献

The study is concerned with the polymerization of myorod, a protein from thick filaments of molluscan smooth muscles, which is an alternative product of the gene of myosin heavy chains. The dependences of the properties and polymer structure of myorod on the conditions of its formation were investigated. It was shown that myorod loses the ability to form viscous polymers after proteolytic removal of the unique sequence. The nonpathogenic strain Arthrobacter nicotianae produces two sialidase isoenzymes, NA1 and NA2, with molecular masses of 65 kDa and 54 kDa, respectively, as determined by 10% SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. NA1 and NA2 exhibit maximum activities at pH 4 and 5, and both show clear thermal optima at 40 degrees C. They are stable at temperatures up to 50 degrees C. The critical temperatures (T (c) = 50 degrees C and 51 degrees C) for the two isoenzymes were determined by fluorescence spectroscopy and correlate well with the temperatures of melting (T (m) = 49 degrees C and 48 degrees C), determined by CD spectroscopy. The isoenzymes are less stable against denaturation with Gdn.HCl, and the free energy of stabilization in water was calculated to be 7.6 and 8.0 kJ mol(-1), respectively. The specific activity (K (m) value) toward glucomacropeptide as a substrate was calculated to be 0.126 mM for NA1 and 0.083 mM for NA2. 相似文献

Sperm ultrastructure was studied in two Atlantic species of bivalve mollusks Geukensia demissa and Modiolus modiolus (Mytilidae). These spermatozoa have a classic structure common for species with external fertilization: the head of the spermatozoon of G. demissa and M. modiolus consists of an acrosome, including an acrosomal vesicle and periacrosomal material, a nucleus, and a middle part with two mutually perpendicular centrioles, surrounded by a ring of spherical mitochondria. The spermatozoa of G. demissa and M. modiolus differ in the general shape and size of the head (M. modiolus, 5.8 × 4 m; G. demissa, 4.2 × 2.5 m), as well as the structure of the acrosome and the number of mitochondria (M. modiolus, 8–12; G. demissa, 5–6). The spermatozoa of the Atlantic species M. modiolus and M. modiolus (M. kurilensis) from the Sea of Japan are close in ultrastructure, but differ in the number of mitochondria. This could possibly be a reason to consider M. modiolus from the Sea of Japan as a separate subspecies, M. modiolus kurilensis. In ultrastructure, the spermatozoa of G. demissa differ significantly from the spermatozoa of M. modiolus, but are similar to the spermatozoa of species of the genus Brachidontes. 相似文献

Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy revealed the presence of lactic acid and alanine in the coelomic fluid of the black sea urchin Mesocentrotus nudus, which indicates the presence of anaerobic metabolism in echinoderms. It was found that this way of energy metabolism is intensified in stressful situations with insufficient intake of oxygen by the cells and that this compensatory response of energy metabolism is an important adaptive mechanism to changes in environmental conditions. 相似文献

The skeleton of spines and tests of the species of sea urchins Strongylocentrotus intermedius, Mesocentrotus nudus, Scaphechinus mirabilis, and Echinocardium cordatum from the Sea of Japan is composed of a spongy stereom, consisting of calcite with a high content of magnesium. It was found that the tests and spines of the skeletons of sea urchins are composed of calcium–organic composite materials inlaid with other metals: Mg, Fe, Zn, and Rb. In the four species of sea urchins studied, the strength and other mechanical properties of the tests and spines differ and depend on the chemical composition and structural organization of their components. It was shown that the content of volatile substances correlates with their fragility or elasticity. It is revealed that the chemical composition of the tests of two species of the spherical sea urchins S. intermedius and M. nudus indicates significant differences between these two species of sea urchins. 相似文献
