The present work illustrates eco-friendly, rapid and cost effective method of AgNPs synthesis using C. pulcherrima stem extract. Initially, various physico chemical factors were optimized. Characterization was done by different spectroscopic and microscopic analysis. AgNPs were spherical in shape with an average size of 8?nm. AgNPs showed good synergistic antimicrobial, antibiofilm and antioxidant activity. The cytotoxicity effect against HeLa cancer cell line was dose dependent while genotoxic study revealed the non toxic nature of AgNPs at lower concentration. The results suggest that AgNPs from C. pulcherrima stem extract have great potential in biomedical applications.  相似文献

Adenoviruses possess a combination of features that make them highly suitable as vectors for expression of heterologous genes. Parthenium hysterophorus, a recently invaded toxic weed, in Eastern India, is now growing gregariously in Salt Lake City — a newly developed township situated in the eastern fringe of the metropolitan city of Calcutta. The floristic survey revealed that most of the trees and shrubs in Salt Lake City have been introduced except for a few, which were recorded as natural occurrence, Parthenium being most prevalent among them. Ecological associations of Parthenium in various localities of Salt Lake City were also investigated. Aerobiological survey was done using a Burkard seven day Volumetric Spore Trap, with the object to record the occurrence of Parthenium pollen in the air of Salt Lake in different seasons along with other airborne types. A total of 45 pollen and 60 fungal spore types were trapped and recorded. The frequency of grass and cyperaceous pollen were found to be dominant followed by Trema. Frequency of Parthenium was relatively insignificant. Chemical analyses of the pollen grains of Parthenium including assay of carbohydrate, lipid, protein, etc., were done. Clinically one out of six patients showed ELISA positive reaction to Parthenium pollen.  相似文献

Triacylglycerol ester hydrolase was isolated from bat adipose tissue and characterized. The partially purified enzyme had pH optimum of 8.6 and a Km value of 0.6 mM. The enzyme was denaturated upon freezing and thawing, which was prevented by 25% glycerol. The enzyme was activated by EDTA and NaCl, while it was inhibited by serum and bovine serum albumin. Heparin, sodium fluoride and diisopropyl fluorophosphate had no effect on triacylglycerol ester hydrolase activity. It hydrolyzed triglycerides partially. Triacylglycerol ester hydrolase lost its activity during delipidation but it was reactivated by endogenous lipids and phospholipids, viz. phosphatidyl ethanolamine, phosphatidyl choline and sphingomyelin. The enzyme shows kinetic properties altogether different from lipoprotein lipase and hormone sensitive lipase  相似文献

Types 4 and 7 adenovirus are currently used as live, oral vaccines for the prevention of adenovirus respiratory disease in military recruits. These vaccine strains have been genetically engineered in order to express HIV-1 or HBV antigens in infected cells. A dog model was developed to evaluate the immunogenicity of these recombinant vaccines. Dogs inoculated with live adenovirus-HBV recombinant vaccine produced antibody against hepatitis B surface antigen.  相似文献
