Fatty acid and sterol compositions in mushrooms of ten species of polyporaceae

The simple lipids present in ten species of Polyporaceae (Piptororus betulinus, Coriolus pargamenus, C. versicolor, C. heteromorphus, Formitopsis cytisina, F. pinicola, Microporus flabelliformis, Gloephyllum saepiarium, Crytoderma citrinum and Grifola frondosa) were investigated. The fatty acids that these species had in common were C₁₆-saturated acids (except in P. betulinus) and C₁₈-unsaturated acids. Ergosterol and ergosta-7,22-dien-3β-ol were isolated from these mushrooms. Lupeol was obtained from G. saepiarium. Ergost-7-en-3β-ol, lanosterol and 24-methylene-24,25-dihydrolanosterol were tentatively identified.     

Minor triterpenoids of Fomes officinalis

The degraded triterpenoid, 3β,6β-dihydroxy-4,4,14α-trimethyl-Δ⁸-5α-pregnene-20-one (II) and 3-keto-dehydrosulfurenic acid (III), have been isolated from the extracts of Fomes officinalis and their structures determined.     

Sarcodontia pachyodon: a Canker and White‐rot Agent of Plane‐trees

Some lignivorous hymenomycete fungi are capable of causing both cankers and decay in stemwood of adult trees. Recently in Tuscany (Italy), Platanus x acerifolia trees were found colonized by Sarcodontia pachydon (Polyporales, Meruliaceae), a fungus associated with white rot and stem cankers on different host tree species. Because the relationship S. pachyodon‐plane‐tree was only preliminary studied, we decided to investigate whether isolates obtained from this host are distinct from those commonly collected from oaks. For this purpose, isolates obtained from plane‐tree and from holm oak (Quercus ilex) were compared by in vitro test and molecular markers. Results showed that fungal isolates did not differ in growth nor in wood degradation, also molecular tests revealed relative similarity among fungal samples.     

A new triterpenic acid from the wood rotting fungi

A new triterpenic acid, assigned the trivial name polyporenic acid D, has been isolated from the wood rotting fungus Polyporus officinalis. It has been shown to have the structure 3α-hydroxy-4,4,14α-trimethyl-5α-ergosta-8, 24(28)-dien-26-oic acid.     

中国多孔菌科四新种

作者在研究和编写中国多孔菌科志的过程中,发现四个新种。它们是:河南地花菌(Albatrellus henanensis Zhao et X.Q.Zhang);近木质多孔菌(Polyporus sublignosusZhao);海南硬孔菌(Rigidoporus hainanicus Zhao et X.Q.Zhang);柏树栓菌(Trametesthujae Zhao)。以上引证的主模式都保藏于中国科学院微生物研究所真菌标本室。     

The major sterols from three species of polyporaceae

The free sterols of the fungi Ganoderma applanatum, Ganoderma lucidum and Polyporus sulfureus were isolated and characterized by means of GC and GC/MS techniques. 24-Methylcholesta-7,22-dien-3β-ol was the main component of the sterol mixtures while 24-methylcholesta-5,7,22-trien-3β-ol ergosterol) and 24-methylcholest-7-en-3β-ol were also present although in lower amounts. P. sulfureus, besides the mentioned sterols, also contained 24 ethylcholestan-3β-ol.

Abstract

A rare polypore: Trametes ljubarskyi Pilàt, new to Italy. VII. - The presence of Trametes ljubarskyi Pil. (Polyporaceae) is reported for the first time in Italy.     

Cytotoxic and anti-angiogenic effects of lanostane triterpenoids from Ganoderma lucidum

Two new lanostane triterpenes, 3α,12β,15α-triacetoxy-5α-lanosta-7,9(11),24-trien-26-oic acid (1) and 5α-lanosta-8,24-diene-26,27-dihydroxy-3,7-dione (2), together with sixteen known compounds (3–18) were isolated from the fruiting bodies of the Vietnamese mushroom Ganoderma lucidum. Their chemical structures were determined by extensive spectroscopic (IR, HR-EI-MS, 1D and 2D NMR) analyses. Potential cytotoxic activities of these compounds were evaluated against human non-small cell lung adenocarcinoma (A549), breast adenocarcinoma (MCF-7), and prostatic small cell carcinoma (PC-3). Among the compounds, 3α,12β,15α-triacetoxy-5α-lanosta-7,9(11),24-trien-26-oic acid (1) showed significant cytotoxic activity against PC-3 cells with an IC₅₀ of 11.5 μM. In studies of anti-angiogenesis activity, ganoderic acid F (17) was found to have the most potent inhibitory effect on the formation of capillary-like structures of human umbilical vein endothelial cells.     

中国多孔菌二新记录种(英文)

在对黑龙江省东部和南部地区木腐菌调查中,发现两种多孔菌:红斑波氏菌(Postia lateritiaRenvall)和烟曲色干酪菌(Tyromyces fumidicepsG.F.Atk),均为中国新记录种。前者发现于宁安市地下森林公园内的松树倒木上,后者采集自虎林市七虎林林场内的阔叶树上。根据采集的材料对其进行了详细描述和显微结构绘图,并对相似种进行了讨论。
