The type-species of Singhia and Caballerotrema (Digenea: Echinostomatidae), parasites of freshwater fishes which have previously been assigned to the subfamily Singhiinae Yamaguti, 1958, are redescribed. One of the specimens of the type-series of Caballerotrema brasiliense Prudhoe, 1960 was identified as C. aruanense Thatcher, 1980. C. arapaimense Thatcher, 1980 is considered a species inquirenda. Himasthla piscicola Stunkard, 1960 is transferred to Caballerotrema as C. piscicola n. comb. The generic diagnoses of Singhia and Caballerotrema are redefined and Singhia is re-allocated to the Echinostomatinae Looss, 1899, the Singhiinae becoming a synonym of the latter.  相似文献

Abstract. Thirteen species of the genus Vilga Stål are recognized and described or redescribed and a key for their identification is given. Lectotypes are designated for Centrocoris westwoodi Kolenati, Vilga dissimilis Distant, Vilga spinosula Montandon, Vilga mexicana Distant, Vilga penningtoni Bergroth and Vilga dallasi Distant. The new combination Vilga chilensis (Stein) is established for Arenocoris chilensis Stein. The new synonymy Vilga dissimilis Distant (= Vilga spinosula Montandon) is established. The new species Vilga brasiliensis (from Brazil), V.grisea (Brazil), V.grisescens (Brazil), V.obliqua (Brazil), V.peruviana (Peru) and V.sanctipauli (Brazil) are described. The genus Vilga is divided into six subgenera, the five new subgeneric names being Vilgula (type-species: Vilga dissimilis Distant), Trichovilga (type-species: Vilga mexicana Distant), Platyvilga (type-species: Arenocoris chilensis Stein), Laevivilga (type-species: Vilga divaricata Distant) and Echinovilga (type-species: Vilga dallasi Distant).  相似文献

Glossocercus chelodinae (MacCallum, 1921) n. comb. is redescribed from fresh material recovered from the intestine of an Australian freshwater turtle, Chelodina expansa. G. chelodinae can be distinguished from all other species of the genus by the shape of its rostellar hooks. It is suggested that this species has colonised fish-eating turtles from fish-eating birds. The morphological relationships among Parvitaenia, Bancroftiella and Glossocercus are discussed. The diagnosis of Bancroftiella is amended and marsupials are eliminated as hosts. Bancroftiella sudarikovi Spasskii &; Yurpalova, 1970 becomes a synonym of Glossocercus glandularis (Fuhrmann, 1905); only B. tenuis Johnston, 1911, the type-species, and B. ardeae Johnston, 1911 remain in the genus.  相似文献

Abstract. The delphacid planthopper genus Sogatella Fennah is redefined and a key provided to males of the fourteen included species. The type-species of Sogatodes Fennah, S.molinus Fennah is considered to be a Sogatella species and consequently Sogatodes becomes a junior subjective synonym of Sogatella. The remaining species of Sogatodes are transferred to Tagosodes gen.n . (type species T.cubanus (Crawford) comb.n. ). Latistria Huang et al. or Sogatellana Kuoh. A key is provided to distinguish the four genera. A check list of species in each genus is given. Several species are important rice pests and information on biology and pest status is summarized.  相似文献

As a starting point for the revision of the genus Ctenolepisma Escherich 1905, the status of its type-species, Ctenolepisma lineata (Fabricius 1775), is clarified. In the present study, this species (originally described from Switzerland) is redescribed by means of many samples from several European countries and a neotype is designated. The constant presence of a third pair of abdominal styli in adult C. lineata s. str. leads to abandon the obsolete name C. lineata var. pilifera (Lucas 1840) for referring to a presumed non-typical variety of this species. The status of Lepisma pilifera Lucas 1840 is discussed, concluding that this name must be treated as a new synonym of Thermobia aegyptiaca (Lucas 1840). After our redefinition of the characters of C. lineata, an examination of many specimens of Ctenolepisma that were previously identified as C. lineata reveals that some of them are actually members of different taxa. This is the case for a species occurring in the Canary Islands, Northwest Africa, the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands. In this work this species is ascribed to Lepisma nicoletii Lucas 1846, which was described from Algeria and regarded as a synonym of Ctenolepisma lineata by Escherich; this species is now redescribed as Ctenolepisma nicoletii stat. res. This species differs from C. lineata in that it bears only two pairs of abdominal styli, and it also differs in the shape of the prosternum and femoral scales. Lepisma eatoni Ridley 1881, which was described from Morocco and the Canary Islands and subsequently regarded as synonym of C. lineata, is now synonymised with C. nicoletii.  相似文献

Abstract The genus Hyalobathra Meyrick is redefined based on five Australian species including the type  species. The four named Australian species, H. archeleuca Meyrick, H. unicolor (Warren) , H. miniosalis (Guenée) and H. minialis (Warren), are redescribed and a new species, H. crenulata sp. n., is described . Hyalobathra unicolor is removed from synonymy with H. illectalis (Walker), and lectotypes are designated for H. archeleuca , H. minialis and for H. rhodoplecta Turner, a synonym of H. miniosalis . The presence of H. paupellalis (Lederer) in Australia could not be confirmed, but its genitalia are figured. Two previously included species, ' Hyalobathra ' aequalis (Lederer) and ' H .'  brevialis (Walker), are excluded from Hyalobathra, as they lack its generic apomorphies, but cannot at present be assigned to any other genus.  相似文献

The type-species of Monosertum Bona, 1994, M. parinum (Dujardin, 1845), is redescribed on the basis of the neotype designated by Bona (1994). M. mariae (Mettrick, 1958) n. comb. (originally Paricterotaenia mariae Mettrick, 1958) is recorded and redescribed from Erithacus rubecula L. (Passeriformes: Turdidae) in the Kaliningradskaya Oblast', Russia (new geographical record). An amended generic diagnosis of Monosertum is presented.  相似文献

The genus Intusatrium Durio & Manter, 1968 is redefined based on a re-examination of paratypes of the type-species, I. robustum Durio & Manter, 1968, and is considered monotypic with characteristic terminal genitalia: internal seminal vesicle elongate tubular, with rather thick wall, divided by slight change in wall thickness into longer proximal and shorter distal region; pars prostatica subcylindrical; ejaculatory duct relatively short, with wrinkled/wall. The genus Postlepidapedon Zdzitowiecki, 1993 is redefined and Intusatrium secundum Durio & Manter, 1968 is attributed to it as a new combination. Postlepidapedon secundum n. comb. is redescribed from a paratype and new material from Choerodon graphicus. P. spissum n. sp. from Choerodon venustus, C. cyanodus, C. fasciatus and C. schoenleinii is recognised on the basis of its thick-walled internal seminal vesicle. P. uberis n. sp. from Choerodon schoenleinii and C. venustus is distinguished by the shape and contents of the cirrus-sac with narrow, convoluted internal seminal vesicle, large vesicular pars prostatica and short, muscular ejaculatory duct. A new genus, Gibsonivermis, erected for Intusatrium berryi Gibson, 1987, is characterised by the elongate narrow cirrus-sac and a uroproct. G. berryi n. comb. is redescribed from Sillago ciliata, S. maculata and Sillago sp.  相似文献

The holotype of Anonchotaenia (Anonchotaenia) clelandi (Johnston, 1912) n. comb. (type-species of Zosteropicola Johnston, 1912) from Zosterops lateralis (Aves: Passeriformes: Zosteropidae) from New South Wales, Australia, is redescribed and figured. Its morphological characteristics correspond fully with the subgenus Anonchotaenia Cohn, 1900: scolex without rostellum and hooks, testes in one transverse row, genital ducts ventral to excretory canals, developing paruterine organ anteroaporal to uterus, vermiform oncospheres, etc. On this basis Zosteropicola is regarded as a junior synonym of the genus Anonchotaenia.  相似文献

Pseudempleurosoma gibsoni n. sp. (Monogenea: Ancyrocephalidae) is described from the oesophagus of Paralonchurus brasiliensis (Steindachner) from off the coast of Brazil. The type-species of Pseudempleurosoma Yamaguti, 1965, P. carangis Yamaguti, 1965, is redescribed and the diagnosis of the genus is amended. Metadiplectanotrema Gerasev et al. 1987 is considered synonym of Pseudempleurosoma. This genus now contains four species, including P. carangis, P. caranxi Gerasev et al., 1987 n. comb., P. myripristi Gerasev et al., 1987 n. comb. and the one new species.  相似文献

The systematic position of the cestode Hymenolepis blarinae Rausch & Kuns, 1950, a parasite of shrews in North America, is reconsidered. The authors disagree with both Yamaguti (1959), who transferred H. blarinae to the genus Rodentolepis, and Schmidt (1986), who considered Rodentolepis to be a synonym of Vampirolepis and transferred this species to the latter genus. The morphological characters of H. blarinae, such as the shape and number of rostellar hooks, strobila size, the topography of the reproductive organs and the well-defined ornamentation of the cirrus, do not permit the allocation of this species to any known genus of hymenolepidids. Therefore, a new taxon Blarinolepis n. g., is established, with B.blarinae (Rausch & Kuns, 1950) n. comb. as the type-species. A generic diagnosis is presented and morphology of holotype of B. blarinae is redescribed and figured.  相似文献
