空气中的细颗粒物(PM2.5)是我国城市空气污染的主要污染物之一,严重威胁着城市居民的健康,限制城市发展的可持续性。PM2.5去除的自然途径有两种,分别是干沉降和湿沉降,其中干沉降占据主导作用,且干沉降的过程和效率与城市森林紧密关联。目前针对城市森林对干沉降作用的研究主要是在小尺度中从不同树种、不同群落结构、不同景观类型等角度来估算并比较其滞尘量,较少关注其占空气污染总量的比率,从而可能影响对城市森林滞尘服务能力的判断。因此,利用城市森林效益(Urban Forest Effect, UFORE)模型中的大气污染干沉降模块的核心算法,以2015年为例,估算了我国主要城市辖区的城市森林一年内对大气中的PM2.5削减量以及其占空气中PM2.5污染总量的比重。结果显示:(1)2015年全国主要城市单位绿地面积日均滞尘量较高地区主要集中在华北地区、华东地区、以及东北地区。其中北京30.47mg/m2,苏州24.63mg/m2,沈阳28.55mg/m2  相似文献

Abstract

Quantification of PM2.5 (particulate matter <2.5?µm) bound heavy metals and their potential health risks were carried out around a cement manufacturing company in Ewekoro, Nigeria. The PM2.5 samples were collected using Environtech gravimetric sampler. A four-staged sequential extraction procedure was used to fractionate PM2.5 bound chromium (Cr), lead (Pb), aluminum (Al), copper (Cu), and silver (Ag), and further analyzed using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. Chemical speciation results reveal bioavailable levels of Pb (4.05?µg/m3), Cr (10.75?µg/m3), Al (16.47?µg/m3), Cu (4.38E-01?µg/m3), and Ag (1.22E-02?µg/m3) in the airborne particulates. Pb and Cr levels exceeded the World Health Organization allowable limit of 0.5 and 2.5E-05?µg/m3, respectively. The labile phases showed strong indication of the presence of Cr and Cu metal. Excess cancer risks exposure for adults, outdoor workers and children were higher than the acceptable risk target level of 1E-06. Non-carcinogenic health risk estimated using hazard quotients (HQs) and hazard indices (HIs) showed ingestion route within the safe level of HI <1 implying no adverse effect while inhalation route exceeded the safe level for all receptors. Enforcement of pollution control by authorized agencies, and screening of greenbelts as sinks for air pollutants is strongly recommended.  相似文献

绿色空间对大气颗粒物有一定吸收滞留作用,是改善空气环境质量与维护城市生态安全的重要区域。该文基于高分2号卫星影像识别2017年上海市绿色空间,并利用城市绿地滞尘模型,结合上海市降水、风速等气象数据与空气质量监测数据,评估了绿色空间滞留PM_(2.5)功能及其差异。结果表明:2017年上海市绿色空间面积3354 km~2,可滞留PM_(2.5) 3533 t,约合单位面积滞留PM_(2.5) 10.5 kg hm~(-2) a~(-1)。从绿色空间类型来看,林地滞留PM_(2.5)能力最强,可达20.2 kg hm~(-2) a~(-1),远高于草地9.1 kg hm~(-2) a~(-1)和农田8.7 kg hm~(-2) a~(-1)的滞留能力。从季节差异来看,绿色空间夏季滞留PM_(2.5)能力最高,然后依次为秋季、春季和冬季。从植被分布格局来看,林草地和农田吸滞PM_(2.5)的能力随植被盖度的增加而提高。在区域差异上,崇明区绿色空间滞留PM_(2.5)能力最高,其余地区呈现出中心城区低、周边高的趋势。为此建议上海市重点优化中心城区的绿色空间格局,增植立体绿化与高滞尘能力树种。  相似文献

Fine particulate matters (PM2.5) are known to pose serious health problems compared to other air pollutants. The current study employed air dispersion modeling system (AERMOD) to simulate the concentration of PM2.5 from Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) and to assess the non-cancer risk and mortalities of the exposed population. In addition, the effects of local climatic factors on the distribution and concentration of PM2.5 within the three main seasons (Major Raining Season (MRS), Low Raining Season (LRS) and Dry Season (DS)) were investigated. The AERMOD results showed that both 24-h (38.8 µg m?3) and annual (12.6 µg m?3) PM2.5 concentration levels were in exceedance of the international limits. However, a decreasing trend in seasonal PM2.5 concentrations was observed. Health risk assessment (HRA), indicated by hazard index (HI), revealed that the amount of Al2O3 present in the PM2.5 caused a significant non-carcinogenic health risk to the exposed population (both adults and children) within the Metropolis (HI = 2.4 for adults and HI = 1.5 for children). Additionally, cardiopulmonary disease related mortalities due to PM2.5 exposure (181 deaths for adults and 24 deaths for children) were found high compared to deaths caused by lung cancer (137 deaths for adults and 16 deaths for children).  相似文献

城市群已成为中国城市发展的主要形式,城市化发展引发的一系列环境污染问题成为目前的研究重点之一,尤其是近年来明显的空气污染问题。由于传统的针对某一城市地区进行细致研究,难以解决在城市聚集的城市群下形成的区域性空气污染来源和影响机制等问题,使区域性空气污染造成的负面效应难以评估。通过构建综合评估模型范式,并运用空间分析,对京津冀168个区县2000年,2005年,2010年,2015年PM2.5人口暴露风险、人类活动对PM2.5的贡献、以及5种土地利用类型的"源汇"特征进行了实证研究。结果发现:(1)2000-2015年,京津冀城市群的人口暴露风险、空气污染分布、综合评估结果总体呈现北低南高的现象。(2)2000-2015年,各县域的人口暴露风险和空气污染的程度、范围呈上升趋势。不同的土地利用类型具有不同的源汇特征,且对污染的贡献不同。本研究通过综合评估模型范式对城市群或区域城市发展与空气质量的权衡关系模式开展量化解析,为城市的可持续发展提供了科学的范式和初步的实证示范。  相似文献

Despite the proximity of the Sahara, very few studies about dust impact on air quality and human health have been conducted in West Africa. The lack of data is a major constraint on our understanding of the impacts on human health in this area. We analyzed PM10 concentrations and horizontal visibility recorded in four West African stations. The pollution levels often exceed the standards defined by many countries/regulatory authorities and have been associated with serious health risks outside Africa. Over the Sahelian stations, 45.6% of the days between November 2006 and March 2007 were likely to impact human health and the studied Sudanian population was exposed to potential health effects every 5 days.  相似文献

The indoor air quality (IAQ) in classrooms highly affects the health and productivity of students. This article aims to clarify seasonal variation in indoor environment and sick building syndromes (SBS) symptoms in an Eastern Mediterranean climate. A series of field measurements were conducted during the fall and winter seasons from October 2011 to March 2012 in 12 naturally ventilated schools located in the Gaza Strip. Data on environmental perception and health symptoms were obtained from 724 students by using a validated questionnaire. The results showed that indoor PM10 and PM2.5 concentrations were 426.3 ± 187.6 μg/m3 and 126.6 ± 94.8 μg/m3, respectively. The CO2 concentrations and ventilation rate widely exceeded their reference values during the winter season. The prevalence rates of general symptoms were relatively high at baseline assessment in the fall season and increased significantly during follow-up in the winter season. Significant increases in disease symptoms such as mucosal irritation and pre-existing asthma symptoms among students could be related to poor indoor air quality. Five distinct groups of SBS symptoms from factor analysis of students’ related symptoms were significantly correlated with PM10 and PM2.5, CO2, ventilation rate, and indoor temperature. As vulnerable children, this situation negatively affects their school performance and health.  相似文献

Millions of metric tons of African desert dust blow across the Atlantic Ocean each year, blanketing the Caribbean and southeastern United States. Previous work in the Caribbean has shown that atmospheric samples collected during dust events contain living microbes, including plant and opportunistic human pathogens. To better understand the potential downwind public health and ecosystem effects of the dust microbes, it is important to characterize the source population. We describe 19 genera of bacteria and 3 genera of fungi isolated from air samples collected in Mali, a known source region for dust storms, and over which large dust storms travel.  相似文献

【背景】干旱区露天煤矿开采过程中产生的粉尘颗粒物加剧了土壤生态环境的恶化和矿区空气质量的下降,针对煤矿区土壤和粉尘颗粒物的微生物群落组成的研究鲜有报道。【目的】研究新疆哈密南湖乡露天煤矿土壤、粉尘及大气PM2.5颗粒物中的微生物群落结构和多样性特征,并预测潜在的功能类群。【方法】采用高通量测序技术,对煤矿露天采坑区和电厂粉煤灰堆放区的土壤、粉尘及大气PM2.5颗粒物的微生物真菌及细菌群落组成进行比对分析。【结果】矿区优势真菌类群来自子囊菌门(Ascomycota)和担子菌门(Basidiomycota),优势细菌类群来自变形菌门(Proteobacteria)和放线菌门(Actinobacteria)。真菌和细菌群落的丰富度及α多样性在整个矿区内无显著性差异,大气PM2.5颗粒物的细菌群落生态位宽度显著大于露天采坑区和粉煤灰区。矿区内的土壤和PM2.5颗粒物样本中均发现了一些丰度差异显著的功能类群,真菌特征功能类群为腐生营养型类群,细菌特征功能类群主要包括甲烷营养型类群、几丁质酶类细菌类群等。【结论】露天煤矿区粉尘可能对区域内土壤和PM2.5颗粒物的微生物群落结构产生重要影响,具有煤组分降解功能的特定微生物类群可能是维持矿区土壤生态安全的重要微生物学机制之一。  相似文献

The characterization of indoor (a naturally ventilated office) and outdoor (adjacent courtyard) metals in PM2.5 during a winter period in Xi'an, China were carried out. The results indicated that the average mass concentrations of PM2.5 in indoor and outdoor environments all exceeded the daily average limit of 75 µg m–3 set by the Chinese government. The dominant metals in PM2.5 were Ca, Al, Zn, Mg, Fe, and Pb in both indoor and outdoor air. Concentration of As was much higher than the standard of 6 ng m–3 issued by the government. Enrichment factor analysis showed that anthropogenic emissions might be the primary sources of As, Cd, Pb, and Zn, while crust was the main origin of Co. A majority of indoor-to-outdoor concentration ratios of metal were lower than 1 indicating mostly the contribution of outdoor sources rather than indoor ones. As and Cr in both indoor and outdoor air posed the highest noncarcinogenic and carcinogenic risks, respectively. The noncarcinogenic and carcinogenic risks were 2.74 and 2.54 × 10?4 indoor and 4.04 and 3.87 × 10?4 outdoor, which suggested that possible adverse health effects should be of concern.  相似文献

During two intensive field campaigns in summer and autumn 2004 nitrogen (N2O, NO/NO2) and carbon (CO2, CH4) trace gas exchange between soil and the atmosphere was measured in a sessile oak (Quercus petraea (Matt.) Liebl.) forest in Hungary. The climate can be described as continental temperate. Fluxes were measured with a fully automatic measuring system allowing for high temporal resolution. Mean N2O emission rates were 1.5 μg N m−2 h−1 in summer and 3.4 μg N m−2 h−1 in autumn, respectively. Also mean NO emission rates were higher in autumn (8.4 μg N m−2 h−1) as compared to summer (6.0 μg N m−2 h−1). However, as NO2 deposition rates continuously exceeded NO emission rates (−9.7 μg N m−2 h−1 in summer and −18.3 μg N m−2 h−1 in autumn), the forest soil always acted as a net NO x sink. The mean value of CO2 fluxes showed only little seasonal differences between summer (81.1 mg C m−2 h−1) and autumn (74.2 mg C m−2 h−1) measurements, likewise CH4uptake (summer: −52.6 μg C m−2 h−1; autumn: −56.5 μg C m−2 h−1). In addition, the microbial soil processes net/gross N mineralization, net/gross nitrification and heterotrophic soil respiration as well as inorganic soil nitrogen concentrations and N2O/CH4 soil air concentrations in different soil depths were determined. The respiratory quotient (ΔCO2 resp ΔO2 resp−1) for the uppermost mineral soil, which is needed for the calculation of gross nitrification via the Barometric Process Separation (BaPS) technique, was 0.8978 ± 0.008. The mean value of gross nitrification rates showed only little seasonal differences between summer (0.99 μg N kg−1 SDW d−1) and autumn measurements (0.89 μg N kg−1 SDW d−1). Gross rates of N mineralization were highest in the organic layer (20.1–137.9 μg N kg−1 SDW d−1) and significantly lower in the uppermost mineral layer (1.3–2.9 μg N kg−1 SDW d−1). Only for the organic layer seasonality in gross N mineralization rates could be demonstrated, with highest mean values in autumn, most likely caused by fresh litter decomposition. Gross mineralization rates of the organic layer were positively correlated with N2O emissions and negatively correlated with CH4 uptake, whereas soil CO2 emissions were positively correlated with heterotrophic respiration in the uppermost mineral soil layer. The most important abiotic factor influencing C and N trace gas fluxes was soil moisture, while the influence of soil temperature on trace gas exchange rates was high only in autumn.  相似文献

Asthma is epidemic in developed and developing countries including those in the Caribbean where it is widely believed that African dust, transported in high concentrations in the Trade Winds every year, is a major causative factor. The link between asthma and dust in the Caribbean is based largely on anecdotal evidence that associates sharp increases in the occurrence of asthma symptoms with hazy conditions often caused by dust. Here we report on a 2-year study of the relationship between the daily concentrations of dust measured in on-shore Trade Winds at Barbados and pediatric asthma attendance rates at Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH). We looked for large increases in QEH daily attendances in relation to daily dust concentrations as previously suggested by anecdotal observations. We could not find any obvious relationship although there may be more subtle linkages between dust and asthma. Our measurements show, however, that the concentration of dust in the size range under 2.5 μm diameter is sufficiently high as to challenge United States Environmental Protection Agency air quality standards for respirable particles. Thus, African dust may constitute a health threat of a different nature, producing symptoms less obvious than those of asthma.  相似文献

Abstract

Platinum (Pt) concentrations in PM2.5 were evaluated by means of inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) to evaluate the spatial and temporal behavior and to assess trends. Samples were taken from five representative sites in the Mexico City Metropolitan Area (MCMA): Tlalnepantla-northwest (NW), San Agustin-northeast (NE), La Merced -center (C), Coyoacan-southwest (SW), and Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana Iztapalapa-southeast (SE). Under three weather conditions: dry warm (DW-April), rainy (R-August), and dry cold (DC-November) in 2013. We found that the PM2.5 median mass concentration was 24?μg m?3?±?15?μg m?3 while Pt concentration was 55?pg m?3?±?15?pg m?3 (median, interquartile range). Seasonal trend was identified: the concentrations decreased significantly in the following order DC?>?R>DW. No spatial distribution was observed. Interestingly, among other meteorically parameters, wind intensity resulted to be the major factor for the dispersion of Pt in PM2.5 in MCMA. Furthermore, we found that Pt concentrations increased significantly by 19.6% between 2011 and 2013. Regardless of the increase in Pt, carbon monoxide (CO) levels decreased opposite to a rise in vehicular fleet. These results urge for environment public policies that address the upward tendency of Pt levels especially in urban areas.  相似文献

A campaign was conducted to assess the PM1 concentration and elemental composition on the platforms and adjacent outdoor areas of an underground subway station (Imam Khomeini) and a surface subway station (Sadeghiye) in Tehran from June 2014 to November 2014. The respective mean concentrations of PM1 on the platforms and in the outdoor areas of Imam Khomeini station were 42.04 and 30.92 µg/m3 and for Sadeghiye station 31.42 and 26.02 µg/m3. Statistical analyses demonstrated that the platforms of the Imam Khomeini and Sadeghiye stations were influenced by the adjacent ambient air of these stations (p < 0.05). PM1 was found to be highly enriched with Fe on the platforms of metro systems, which were more frequently encountered in the Imam Khomeini station than the Sadeghiye station as 41.06% and 37.73% of the total PM1 mass respectively. Minor elements, particularly Ba, Pb, Cr, Cu, Ni, Mn, Ti, V, and Zn, were elevated for the platform of Imam Khomeini and, to a lesser degree, the platform of Sadeghiye stations, which may be due to abrasion processes between rail tracks, wheels, and brake pads.  相似文献

In a study in the USA, latex allergens have beenidentified in airborne particles. Natural rubber(latex) is a product from the plant Heveabrasiliensis and is largely used in the tireindustry. In the vicinity of roads, latex can becomeairborne due to wear-off processes of tires.Sensitisation to latex has been increasing in the lastdecade; an important pathway for the sensitisation ismediated by the airways. It is not known, if thisconcerns mainly laboratory personnel or if this isalso an environmental problem.This study investigated the content of latex inairborne particles in the vicinity of a road withmoderate traffic, in comparison to a control site.Latex was determined in a competitive ELISA based onpolyclonal IgE antibodies. During spring and summer,collected airborne dust was analysed for the contentof protein and latex. Latex concentrations inPM10 in the city were higher than at the controlsite. 湿地对大气颗粒物的沉降和运移有一定的影响。目前,相关研究多集中在小尺度定量湿地下垫面的颗粒物沉降速度与沉降量以及湿地植物对颗粒物的吸附或阻滞作用。但由于方法的缺失,研究无法在大尺度上定量解释有关湿地对颗粒物的产生、转移、转化和传递过程,这也导致研究结果对政策制定和城市空间规划缺少指导作用。因此,本研究引入了生态系统服务流模型的理论框架,结合颗粒物干沉降与HYSPLIT模型,量化北京市湿地削减PM2.5服务的物理流量、流动路径以及受益地区。研究结果表明:(1)北京市湿地2015年PM2.5沉降总量为4240 t,单位面积的平均沉降量为8.27×10-3 kg/m2;2018年为2610 t,单位面积的平均沉降量为4.46×10-3 kg/m2;(2)2015年和2018年北京市湿地削减PM2.5生态系统服务物理流量最高值均出现在冬季,最低值出现在夏季,总体呈现出冬季 > 春季 > 秋季 > 夏季的趋势;(3)2015年和2018年向华北地区迁移的气流轨迹占当季气流轨迹总数的比例最大,京津冀地区与山东省为主要受益区。研究结果既为科学管理湿地资源和实现区域可持续发展提供客观准确的依据,也可为开展湿地生态系统服务流的相关研究奠定一定的基础。  相似文献

采用平行同步采样法,于2012年雨季,对广州市大夫山森林公园林内外空气的总悬浮颗粒物(TSP)和细颗粒物(PM2.5)样品进行了24 h收集,测定了TSP和PM2.5的质量浓度并分析了样品中水溶性无机离子成分。结果表明:林内外PM2.5的质量浓度平均值分别为(40.18±10.47)和(55.79±13.01) g/cm3;林内外TSP的质量浓度分别为(101.32 ± 33.19)和(116.61±35.36) g/cm3。林内与林外比,PM2.5和TSP平均质量浓度都显著减少(P < 0.05),表明森林能显著改善空气环境质量。TSP和PM2.5中SO42-、Na+、NH4+和NO3-为水溶性无机离子主要成分,占总离子质量的80%以上,林外这些离子的浓度高于林内(NH4+除外)。这4种离子雨季在空气中的主要存在方式为NaCl、Na2SO4、NH4HSO4和NH4NO3。计算表明,采样期间海盐对大夫山空气TSP和PM2.5的水溶性组分中Na+和Cl-贡献最大,其它元素主要源自陆地源。林内外TSP和PM2.5c(NO3-)/c(SO42-)比值在0.3以下,表明固定源是大夫山森林公园空气主要污染贡献者,TSP中c(NO3-)/c(SO42-)的比值大于PM2.5的比值,说明移动源对TSP的贡献大于PM2.5。  相似文献

Outdoor wood boilers (OWBs) are detached wood-fired units that heat water used for domestic consumption and heating. The increasing use of OWBs has prompted regulatory concern because of escalating public complaints. Few field studies of OWB ambient emissions have been conducted, limiting efforts to assess this air quality problem. A screening level evaluation was conducted to characterize ambient fine particle (PM2.5) levels nearby an OWB device and to overview operating and design factors that could influence PM2.5 levels. High hourly (186 μ g/m3 4.3 h mean, 665 μg/m3 95th percentile) and peak continuous (8,880 μg/m3 15 s avg) PM2.5 concentrations were found within 50–150 ft of an OWB relative to background levels throughout the course of nearly routine operating conditions. Values were highest during air intake within 1 h of fuel loading (416 μg/m3 1 h mean) compared to air-starved 22–24 h after loading (115 μg/m3 3.3 h mean). OWB features that could affect PM2.5 levels include exemption from federal wood stove standards, poor combustion design, large firebox capacity, trash burning use, low stack height, and four-season utility. In view of cardiac and respiratory health risks associated with transient exposure to ambient PM2.5 at levels well below those reported here, this pilot study contributes to the risk assessment field by identifying an emerging problem of potential public health significance.  相似文献

The air PM2.5 concentration and its heavy metal content (Fe, Pb, Mn, Ni, As) were measured in the Metropolitan Area of Monterrey, Méxicoin Mexico, an area that is characterized by both very active and diverse industrial activity and intense highway traffic and industrial activity. The 24-h PM2.5 samples were collected in two different zones during a 1-year-long measurement program (February 2008–February 2009). The year PM2.5 average was above 15 μg/m3 exceeding Mexican and international standards. The difference of PM2.5 in each zone was not statistically significant. The greatest metal content was for iron, followed by lead, manganese, nickel and arsenic. The difference in metal content for Pb, Mn, and As was statistically significant.  相似文献

Abstract

Ambient PM2.5 data in the Central Business District (CBD) of Bangkok monitored by Pollution Control Department and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration were collected over three years in Bangkok from 2015 to 2017. The other air pollutions data were used as the dependent variables to develop mathematic models with statistical distribution technique. Multiple linear regression technique was selected as the main statistical distribution methodology for estimating PM2.5 concentrations in non-monitored areas. The predicted PM2.5 concentrations were validated against the measured PM2.5 concentrations by various statistical techniques. The validation found that the model had strong significant correlations for ambient and roadside area with R 2?=?0.88 and 0.96, respectively. The non-carcinogenic health risk assessment of PM2.5 was quantified as the hazard quotient (HQ) from both the measured and predicted data. The risk areas and HQ were compared using the inverse distance weighting interpolation technique and illustrated as GIS-based maps. During December to February, the HQ values of PM2.5 were exceed 1 (HQs?>?1) at all area of CBD; however, the highest HQ was found in the southern part of CBD. The finding could be used for residential health awareness in that area.  相似文献
