【目的】榕树(Ficus)依赖专性榕小蜂(Agaonidae)传粉,同时为传粉榕小蜂提供繁衍后代的场所,两者形成动植物间经典的协同进化关系。在雌花期果内,榕小蜂需在有限的存活时间内完成传粉和产卵,而传粉榕小蜂如何在传粉与产卵之间进行权衡仍然是悬而未解的问题。本研究旨在明确传粉榕小蜂——一种栉颚榕小蜂Ceratosolen sp.在雌雄同株的聚果榕Ficus racemosa雌花期果内的行为活动及繁殖模式。【方法】借助测微尺测量聚果榕榕果雌花花柱长度与传粉榕小蜂(Ceratosolen sp.)产卵器长度,通过显微视频记录传粉榕小蜂在雌花期果内搜索、传粉及产卵行为;结合单果控制性引蜂试验,测定不同阶段榕小蜂个体大小、孕卵量、携粉量,以及雄花期最终繁殖的榕小蜂后代和榕果种子数量。【结果】聚果榕雌花花柱长度存在树间变异,榕小蜂产卵器长度比绝大多数的雌花花柱长,说明该小蜂可以产卵于大部分的雌花子房里。通常个体大的榕小蜂孕卵量更多,但个体大小与携粉量之间相关性不显著。观察发现,榕小蜂进入雌花期榕果内,前6 h集中产卵,可产下孕卵量的95%,平均搜索用时27 s,产卵用时46 s,此期间传粉行为少见,花粉筐中携带花粉量亦无明显变化;榕小蜂进果后6-24 h,主要执行传粉,其行为主动,连贯高效,单次传粉用时平均为2 s,最终可传完携粉量的80%。控制引蜂试验也证实榕小蜂进入榕果内前6 h主要执行产卵繁殖后代,之后6-24 h主要执行传粉以繁殖榕树种子。【结论】在雌雄同株的聚果榕雌花期榕果内,榕小蜂先产卵、后传粉。本研究首次展示了传粉榕小蜂在聚果榕雌花期榕果内的产卵和传粉行为,并获得与行为相匹配的产卵量和传粉繁殖量,反映了具主动传粉行为的榕小蜂在传粉和产卵之间存在时间和数量上的权衡。  相似文献

天仙果(Ficus erecta var.beecheyana)花为单性花、雌、雄异株、分别形成雌、雄花序,雌花序着生雌花,雄花序着生雄花和瘿花。花序中生活着银纹榕小蜂(Blastophaga silverstriana)和榕长尾小蜂(Sycoscapter sp.)。前者是唯一能进入雄花序腔产卵或雌花序腔传粉的昆虫,是天仙果专一性共生的传粉者;后者不能进入花序,在花序外通过产卵器将卵产在瘿花子房中,是植食性的寄生者。自然状态下天仙果每个雄花序均被2种小蜂产卵,平均每个花序出飞银纹榕小蜂208.2只、榕长尾小蜂64.2只。人为封堵花序口,银纹榕小蜂无法进入花序产卵,平均每个花序出飞榕长尾小蜂165.6只,是自然状态下的2.5倍,显然,2种小蜂互为竞争对手,榕长尾小蜂是榕-榕小蜂共生体系的破坏者。  相似文献

钝叶榕 (Ficus curtipes)是雌雄同株,它除了依赖钝叶榕传粉榕小蜂Eupristina sp.传粉外,另外两种进入果内繁殖的杨氏榕树金小蜂Diaziella yangi 和Lipothymus sp.金小蜂也能有效地为它传粉,这3种小蜂同时产卵于雌花的子房内,在榕果内繁殖后代.通过控制性放蜂试验,比较研究钝叶榕3种传粉者的传粉效率,结果表明:自然状态下,3种小蜂在绝大多数榕果里只各进1头.在控制性放蜂试验中,3种小蜂的传粉效率均随着放入雌蜂数量的增加而增加,两种金小蜂的传粉效率有时比钝叶榕传粉榕小蜂的传粉效率还高.当钝叶榕传粉榕小蜂分别与两种金小蜂同时放入榕果内传粉时,其生产的种子数量居于或者是接近两种小蜂单独传粉时形成的种子数量,传粉效率没有显著增加.在比较3种小蜂单种分别放1头和2头的传粉效率时,增加单果放蜂数量,钝叶榕传粉榕小蜂和Lipothymus sp. 的平均传粉效率降低,但杨氏榕树金小蜂的平均传粉效率是增加的.对3种不同属传粉小蜂传粉效率的比较,可为研究榕-蜂互惠系统的互惠的起源提供依据.  相似文献

榕-蜂共生系统是桑科榕属(Ficus)植物与传粉榕小蜂专一互惠形成的生态学关系。但是,也有一些非传粉的小蜂出现在这个系统中,对榕-蜂共生系统可能产生较大的影响。西双版纳的聚果榕(Ficus racemosa)树上主要有5种非传粉小蜂,分别在榕果发育的不同阶段从果外向果内产卵。在传粉榕小蜂进果之前的花前期,Platyneura testaceApocrypta sp.和P. mayri这3种非传粉小蜂先后到果外产卵繁殖后代,对榕-蜂共生系统造成显著影响,尤其是影响传粉榕小蜂的繁殖。在传粉榕小蜂进果之后的间花期,P. mayriA. westwoodiP. agraensis这3种非传粉小蜂相继到果外产卵,它们虽然能减少种子形成和传粉榕小蜂繁殖的数量,但最终没有对榕-蜂共生系统造成显著的影响。造瘿类的P. mayri可在花前期和间花期产卵繁殖,在花前期产卵时它主要是影响传粉榕小蜂的繁殖,而在间花期产卵时它则更多地是影响种子的生产。  相似文献

2004年8月至2005年8月在西双版纳热带植物园内,通过广泛收集歪叶榕榕小蜂标本、非传粉小蜂产卵行为学观察和阻止传粉者入果等实验方法,研究了我国西双版纳热带雨林下的一种榕树——歪叶榕Ficus cyrtophylla的榕小蜂群落组成结构、非传粉小蜂的繁殖策略以及它们对榕-蜂共生系统的影响。结果表明,歪叶榕中除了具有唯一传粉榕小蜂Blastophag sp.以外,还具有3种非传粉小蜂Platyneura sp.、Philotrypesis sp.和Sycoscapter sp.。在歪叶榕榕小蜂群落中,传粉榕小蜂占整个群落总数的92.21%,是群落的最主要组成者;主要的非传粉小蜂是Sycoscaptersp.,占5.78%; 其次是Philotrypesissp.,占1.84%,而Platyneurasp.仅占群落总数的0.17%。歪叶榕中的非传粉小蜂通过各自产卵时间和食性分化的策略来利用榕果中的资源繁殖后代。非传粉小蜂寄生使传粉榕小蜂的总数和其雌蜂数量都显著地降低,但是对传粉小蜂雄蜂数量没有显著影响,从而导致传粉榕小蜂的雄性性比显著地增加。这说明非传粉小蜂在选择寄居宿主时具有明显的倾向性,而且更多地将卵产于含有雌性传粉小蜂的瘿花之中。因此,非传粉小蜂通过减少雌性传粉小蜂的数量而降低了榕树的雄性适合度,从而在一定程度上对榕 蜂共生系统的稳定存在和发展产生了负面影响。  相似文献

珍珠莲为榕属攀援灌木,雌雄异株。雌花序中着生雌花,每个花序中平均有雌花310.4朵;雄花序中着生瘿花、雄花和两性花,每个花序平均有瘿花391.0朵、雄花104.8朵、两性花2.0朵。自然状态下雌、瘿花的结实率和成虫瘿率分别为95.88%、29.51%。雌、瘿花在生理上已完全分离。匍茎榕小蜂是唯一能进入花产卵或传粉的共生昆虫,二者构成的传粉系统依靠形态结构的高度互适,物候生活史的相互吻合,以及特化的生物学行为维系其专一性和稳固性。  相似文献

爱玉是榕属攀援灌木,其隐头花序中生活着薜荔榕小蜂,爱玉一年两次开花,雌雄株比1:2,雌花序中平均有5503朵雌花。雄花序中平均有6308朵瘿花,自然状态上结实率和成虫瘿率分别为83.52%,51.33%。薜荔榕小蜂一年两代,1只雌蜂进入花序平均可产约600个卵或使1391朵雌花受粉结实,爱玉依赖薜荔榕小蜂传粉,否则不能结实;薜荔榕小蜂是惟一能进入花序的传粉者并依靠爱玉花序得以栖息,二者在形态结构。生理功能上高度互适,生活史上完全吻合衔接。生态策略上紧密协调,构成复杂而又精细的共生体系。  相似文献

薜荔(Ficus pumila L.var.pumila)隶属桑科榕属,爱玉(F.pumila L.var.awkeotsanmg Corner)为其变种,它们的花是单性的,雌雄异株。雌花序中着生雌花,雄花序中有瘿花和雄花,每个花序中花的数量极多,达4000~6000朵。薜荔榕小蜂是唯一能进入薜荔和爱玉的隐头花序中产卵或传粉的共生昆虫,自然状态下雌花的结实率分别为82%、83.52%;瘿花的成虫瘿率分别为58.71%、51.32%,因此可形成大量的果实和虫瘿。物候观察表明薜荔和爱玉花期不遇,它们花序中的榕小蜂种群已经生殖隔离。人为的放蜂实验表明,生活于爱玉花序中的榕小蜂,已无法在薜荔花序中繁殖,生殖隔离进一步得到证实;实验同时表明爱玉的花粉亦不能使薜荔雌花结实,宿主两变种间生理上已不亲和。本文从共生双方协同进化的角度出发,探讨了榕树2变种间与传粉昆虫繁殖特性的差异,以及变种产生的主要原因。  相似文献

粗叶榕是榕属灌木或小乔木 ,雌雄异株。一年到头皆有不同发育阶段的花序 ,序内开花同步 ,株内开花异步。雌花序有长柱雌花平均为 641 .2枚 ,雄花序中有短柱雌花 (瘿花 )平均为 488.2枚 ,自然状态下结实率和成虫率分别为 5 1 .3 7%和 3 6.1 1 %。榕小蜂科的爪哇榕小蜂是粗叶榕的传粉者 ,是共生体系的真正的互惠共生伙伴。二者在形态结构、生理功能上高度互适 ,粗叶榕必须依靠爪哇榕小蜂的传粉才能获得有性生殖 ;而爪哇榕小蜂又必须依赖粗叶榕的短柱头雌花作为繁殖后代的场所 ,才能获得种群的繁衍。  相似文献

在西双版纳,分别统计了对叶榕(Ficus hispida)雌花期雌雄果的进蜂量和花后期雌雄果繁殖的多个特征值,以此来探讨自然条件下,影响对叶榕及其传粉榕小蜂(Ceratosolen solmsi marchali)繁殖的因素。结果表明:单果内有效进蜂数量是影响种子生产和传粉榕小蜂繁殖的首要因素,而雌花期进果的传粉榕小蜂并不是都能全部进入果腔传粉或产卵,大部分蜂还未进到果腔就被夹死在顶生苞片层的通道里,能进入雌果内传粉的榕小蜂为(2.72±2.04)只·果-1,约占总进蜂量的52%;而在雄果里,能进入果腔的蜂量只有(2.08±1.65)只·果-1,占35%左右。由于雌果内的雌花显著比雄果内的雌花多,结合单果进蜂量雌多雄少的格局,最终单果生产的种子数量 (1 891.63 ± 471.53)比传粉榕小蜂的数量 (367.20 ± 208.02) 多5倍有余。在雌果里,供给传粉的雌花数量与所生产的种子数量之间呈显著的正相关,而没有接受到花粉或不能正常受精的雌花数量与种子数量呈显著的负相关。雄果不仅生产花粉,也是传粉榕小蜂繁殖的场所,在相关于传粉榕小蜂自身繁殖力的因子中,传粉榕小蜂产卵制造的瘿花数量对其种群数量有最大的影响;影响次之的是发育过程中死亡的个体数量,它可降低30%左右的传粉榕小蜂数量;影响排在第三位的是寄主的雌花数量。此外,3类非传粉者的存在,单果内平均可减少30多只传粉小蜂。  相似文献

Figs (Moraceae) and their pollinating wasps (Agaonidae) constitute a famous reciprocal mutualism in which figs provide some female flowers for the development of fig wasp offspring while the fig wasps pollinate fig flowers. However, figs also host many non-pollinating wasps which are either parasitoids or resource competitors of pollinators, and bring no benefit for figs and are detrimental to fig’ fitness. Our data onFicus racemosa in Xishuangbanna showed that the numbers of non-pollinators and the mature syconia without pollinator wasps increase in rainy season, especially in the highly fragmented forest. This might be because of the longer developing time of the syconia and thereby longer oviposition time to non-pollinators in the dry season. The galled flower and the viable seed percentages in dry seasons are also larger than in rainy seasons in both primary forest and fragmented forest, and the development of non-pollinators is mainly at the expense of pollinator wasps. Our results showed that there exists a discriminative seasonal impact of non-pollinators and fragmentation effects on population size of fig’s pollinators. This implies that fig/fig wasp mutualism is more fragile in dry season, and that the critical population size and breeding units of figs in seasonal area might be larger than previously estimated without considering the seasonal change of pollinator population.  相似文献

研究了天仙果(Ficus erecta Thunb.var.beecheyana(Hook.et Arn.)King)的繁殖生物学特性。春季雌株不形成雌花序,雄瘿株的花序中雄花也不完全发育,只有瘿花发育良好,这些瘿花为培育传粉者(Blastophaga sp.)提供了必需的繁殖及发育场所;夏秋季是天仙果自身的繁殖时期,雌花充雄花花药发育良好。雌花期与雄花期每年在3-4月份及6-8月份相遇。通常进入花序传粉或产卵的小蜂只有1-2只。对天仙果隐头花序的配置及花的解剖研究还表明,其繁殖习性是榕树-榕小蜂共生体系繁殖对策多样性的体现。  相似文献

In ecological situations where interactions between two species are to their mutual benefit, traits are expected to evolve to maximise the value of the timing of their encounters. Plants that depend on animals for pollination vary in the longevity of their flowers and also in how the quality of the rewards they offer varies in flowers of different ages. However, costs of floral longevity are rarely studied. Using field experiments with Ficus semicordata, a SE Asian dioecious fig tree, we examined sexual differences in syconium ageing, how the reproductive success of the plant and its pollinator change with syconium age and whether these changes are reflected in pollinator preferences. Un-pollinated syconia remained receptive to their host-specific pollinators for long periods, but eventually abort. Compared with male syconia, un-pollinated female syconia aborted more quickly and lost their ability to attract pollinators more quickly. Older pollinated female syconia were also more likely to abort. Further, declines in productivity with syconium age were also more apparent in female syconia, though older male syconia also produced fewer, smaller wasp offspring. The longevity costs are reflected in pollinator preferences. This suggests that sexual differences in duration of receptivity may be adaptive and a component of the reproductive strategies. It also indicates that placing fig wasps onto older syconia over-estimates their likelihood of being pollinated under natural conditions and prolonged receptivity increases the likelihood of pollination at the cost of reduced productivity with syconium age. This opens interesting perspectives on the co-evolution of this inter-specific interaction.  相似文献

薜荔榕小蜂Blastophaga pumilae是薜荔的传粉昆虫,栖息于薜荔隐头花序中,在其生物学行为中以钻入花序产卵或传粉最为关键。研究表明:薜荔榕小蜂钻入花序平均费时69.48 min,标准差13.26 min;伤残程度很高并能在伤残的情况下完成产卵或传粉;卵的尾丝能起标识作用避免重复产卵;进入雌花序的小蜂具逃离花序的行为但不能实现;1只小蜂平均产528个卵或为1 072.4朵雌花授粉。  相似文献

1. Fig trees (Moraceae: Ficus) are keystone species, whose ecosystem function relies on an obligate mutualism with wasps (Chalcidoidea: Agaonidae) that enter fig syconia to pollinate. Each female flower produces one seed (fig female reproductive function), unless it also receives a wasp egg, in which case it supports a wasp. Fig male reproductive function requires both male flowers and pollinator offspring, which are the only vectors of fig pollen. 2. The mutualism is exploited by other wasps that lay eggs but provide no pollination service. Most of these non‐pollinating fig wasps (NPFWs) do not enter syconia, but lay eggs through the wall with long ovipositors. Some are gall‐makers, while others are parasitoids or lethal inquilines of other wasps. 3. Ficus is pan‐tropical and contains >750 fig species. However, NPFW communities vary across fig lineages and continents and their effects on the mutualism may also vary. This provides a series of natural experiments to investigate how the costs to a keystone mutualism vary geographically. 4. We made the first detailed study of the costs of NPFWs in a fig (Ficus obliqua G. Forst) from the endemic Australasian section Malvanthera. In contrast to the communities associated with section Americana in the New World, wasps from the subfamily Sycoryctinae (Chalcidoidea: Pteromalidae) dominated this community. 5. These sycoryctine wasps have a negative impact on pollinator offspring numbers, but not on seed production. Consequently, while the NPFW fauna varies greatly at high taxonomic levels across continents, we show that the consistent main effect of locally dominant exploiters of the mutualism is to reduce fig male reproductive function.  相似文献
