A new genus and species of the Hatschekiidae, Laminohatschekia synaphobranchi, is described from an eel caught off New Caledonia. It is characterised by its long ribbon-like trunk and by the possession of three pairs of biramous legs. The pennellid Sarcotretes scopeli is redescribed from a macrourid also taken off New Caledonia. Sarcotretes lobatus is recognised as a synonym of S. scopeli. Phrixocephalus carcellesi is described in detail for the first time, from the stomach contents of a King Shag caught in the Falkland Islands. A wide range of individual variability in holdfast structure was noted in P. carcellesi. A new species, Peniculisa bellwoodi, is described from Pomacentrus amboiensis collected at Lizard Island on the Great Barrier Reef. The sphyriid Lophoura cornuta is redescribed from a synaphobranchid eel caught off New Caledonia and both sexes of a lernanthropid, Aethon morelandi, are redescribed from Nemadactylus macropterus in southern Australia. 相似文献

The stages in the metamorphosis of the pennellid Cardiodectes medusaeus (Wilson) are described from mid-water fishes in the Indo-Pacific. The earliest metamorphic stage was found within the body cavity of the second host and indicates a double origin for the frontal processes of the cephalic holdfast in this species. A new species of Lophoura (family Sphyriidae) is described from a single female taken from a deep-water synaphobranchid eel caught in the North Atlantic. The new species, L. simplex, is characterised by the lack of any neck processes. Another sphyriid, Periplexis lobodes Wilson, is reported for the second time. It was found on a deep-sea alepocephalid belonging to the genus Rouleina in Fijian waters. 相似文献

Summary A new criconematid genus Amphisbaenema is proposed, its type being a new species, A. paradoxiger, from Western Samoa which shows an unusual combination of features in that the outer layer of the female cuticle is broken up into numerous platelets and the female head is rounded without submedian lobes, labial plates or pseudolips; the male has prominent caudal alae and juveniles have longitudinal rows of tubercles over most of the body which is covered by an outer layer of fine backwardly directed spines. Nothocriconema lamellatum (Raski & Golden, 1966) De Grisse, 1967 is transferred to this genus and a second new species, A. amicorum, from Tonga is tentatively assigned to it. Summary A new species of Shiinoa parasitic on the nasal lamellae of Indian Ocean and western Atlantic lutjanid fishes is described. A new record of Shiinoa elagata, originally described from Pacific Elagatus bipinnulatus, is reported from western Atlantic Sphyraena barracuda from Belize. Four new species of Adenocalymma (Bignoniaceae, Bignonieae) from southeastern Brazil are described and illustrated: A. aurantiacum, characterized by dark orange and infundibuliform corolla; A. cinereum, characterized by shrubby habit, greyish inflorescence, infundibuliform corolla, and exserted stamens; A. gibbosum, characterized by gibbous and orange corolla and an inflorescence with dendritic trichomes; and A. sessile, characterized by sessile leaves and gibbous corolla. The type materials of Paecilomyces sinensis, including herbarium specimen and ex-type strain, were re-examined to clarify its relationships with other species. Morphological observations on the strain grown in various culture media revealed that the fungus was morphologically related to Polycephalomyces, since it produced conidial mass and lanceolate or narrowly lageniform phialides. Six genes, including ITS, nrSSU, nrLSU, tef1, rpb1 and rpb2, were amplified from the type materials and used in phylogenetic analyses to determine the systematic position of the fungus in the framework of clavicipitaceous fungi. The results place P. sinensis with Polycephalomyces formosus, the type species of Polycephalomyces, and Cordyceps ramosopulvinata forming a clade unaffiliated with the known families of clavicipitaceous fungi. Based on both morphological and molecular data, a new combination, Polycephalomyces sinensis, is proposed for Paecilomyces sinensis. The new clade found in this study is designated as Polycephalomyces clade and expands the phylogenetic diversity for clavicipitaceous fungi. The teleomorph–anamorph connection between Berkelella and Polycephalomyces previously conceived cannot be retained as the type species of Polycephalomyces, P. formosus, is closely linked to species of Cordyceps s.l. in the new clade. 相似文献
