治理外来入侵植物互花米草(Spartina alterniflora)对保护河口湿地鸟类栖息地及生物多样性具有重要意义。研究在崇明东滩比较了"淹水刈割"、"反复刈割"及"化学除草"三种措施对大面积互花米草的治理效果及其对大型底栖动物与土著植物芦苇(Phragmites australis)的影响。结果表明,反复刈割措施对互花米草生长具有一定的控制作用,对底栖动物群落的影响较小;使用化学除草剂清除互花米草的效果不明显,对底栖动物群落的影响亦不明显;淹水刈割措施能长期有效地清除互花米草,但长期淹水对底栖动物群落的影响较大,同时亦对芦苇生长造成一定负面影响。因此,淹水刈割可能是在河口生态系统治理大面积互花米草最有效的方法,但是在后续管理中需要采取一定的措施来减小对底栖动物及土著植物的影响。  相似文献

土壤动物是土壤生物群落不可或缺的组成部分,是调控土壤生态过程重要的生物驱动因子。探明向土壤中施加生物炭对土壤动物群落的影响及二者之间的相互关系,对深刻认识土壤生态系统的运行机制、评价土壤生态服务功能具有重要意义。本文综述了施用生物炭对土壤动物群落的影响及机制,包括生物炭原料、制备温度、施用量的差异对土壤动物群落造成的直接影响,及以生物介导(改变植物生理特性、提高微生物数量)和非生物介导(土壤理化性质的改变)环境条件的改变对土壤动物群落造成的间接影响。低量生物炭添加下(生物炭与土壤质量比<5%),对土壤动物的生长繁殖和行为活动起促进作用,若施炭量过高(>10%),则会产生毒害;土壤动物的行为活动也会影响生物炭的稳定性。未来应该加强长期田间定位、时空变异性、多学科交融和分析预测等方面的研究。  相似文献

2006年11月和2007年1月通过金属和生物指标的量化监测,就酸性矿山废水对大型底栖动物群落结构的影响及高岚河污染现状进行研究。典型对应分析表明:酸性废水对高岚河上游大型底栖动物群落结构影响最大。对高岚河大型底栖动物群落结构和功能摄食类群进行分析,研究硫铁矿酸性矿山废水对河流大型底栖动物群落的影响,结果表明:高岚河自矿源起约16km河段,大型底栖动物群落结构已经遭到严重破坏;多足摇蚊Polypedilum tritum和真凯氏摇蚊Eukiefferiellab rehmi对酸和金属均具有较强的耐受力;捕食者和刮食者对矿山酸性废水带来的污染反应最为敏感。逐步回归分析表明:大型底栖动物生物多样性受Al、Ca、Cd、Fe、Mg、Mn等金属影响最大;密度受Ca、Cr和Mg的影响最大。  相似文献

为探讨耕作方式对中小型土壤动物群落结构及多样性的影响,选取中国科学院海伦农田生态系统国家野外科学观测研究站定位试验的5种耕作方式免耕、少耕、平翻耕作、组合耕作和旋耕为对象,采用改良干漏斗( Modified Tullgren)法分离0~15 cm土层中的中小型土壤动物,分析比较了不同耕作方式下中小型土壤动物的群落结构及分布特征.结果表明:不同耕作方式下中小型土壤动物群落结构及分布特征存在差异;高壳甲螨科和小甲螨科为5种耕作方式中共有的优势类群,传统耕作的旋耕和平翻耕作之间,保护性耕作的免耕和少耕之间中小型土壤动物群落结构相似度高;组合耕作很好地保持了中小型土壤动物垂直分布的表聚特征,少耕下中小型土壤动物群落结构具有较高的Shannon指数、均匀度和优势度;耕作方式可影响中小型土壤动物群落结构,少耕和组合耕作等保护性耕作措施有利于中小型土壤动物群落结构的稳定,且保持了中小型土壤动物垂直分布的表聚特征.  相似文献

人类对次生林生态系统的长期扰动必然会对地下生态过程产生深刻影响,而土壤动物群落结构和功能多样性对地下生态过程的演变有重要的指示意义.本文以小陇山林区恢复近30年的次生林和栽植近30年的油松、日本落叶松、欧洲云杉和粗枝云杉林为对象,通过对5种林型土壤动物群落密度调查,采用PCA排序和方差分析等方法,探讨了不同林型土壤动物群落结构特征和营养结构.结果表明:油松林和日本落叶松林土壤动物群落密度是次生林的3.0和2.1倍;油松和日本落叶松人工林土壤动物群落中消费者/分解者比值明显高于次生林,油松林和日本落叶松林消费者/分解者的比值显著高于欧洲云杉林和粗枝云杉林;不同人工林土壤动物群落结构存在明显差异,油松林和日本落叶松林土壤动物群落密度是粗枝云杉林的4.5和3.1倍,而油松林土壤动物群落类群丰富度是欧洲云杉林和粗枝云杉林的1.5倍.  相似文献

对长春市郊区天然次生林、市区公园绿地、郊区防护林和农田等典型土地利用生境进行大型土壤动物调查,手拣法野外采集大型土壤动物,应用个体密度和类群数量等指标,研究土地利用变化对大型土壤动物群落特征的影响。研究区共捕获大型土壤动物3773只,分别隶属于3门6纲17目102科。研究结果表明:不同土地利用生境大型土壤动物群落个体密度和类群数存在差异,其中郊区农田和防护林土壤动物的类群数和个体密度明显减少;植物群落类型对大型土壤动物群落特征有一定影响;大型土壤动物群落个体密度和类群数主要集中分布在地表0-5cm土壤层,生境地表凋落物的移除对土壤动物群落的类群数和个体密度影响不明显;此外,不同土壤动物类群对土地利用变化的响应也不同。  相似文献

总结了我国土壤动物群落生态学研究的特点,即区域分布集中于中国东部、研究的生态系统类型广泛、研究角度多种多样与应用研究发展迅速。并从土壤动物群落与环境关系、土壤动物群落的组成和多样性、土壤动物群落结构、土壤动物群落功能、土壤动物群落演替与受干扰生态系统的土壤动物群落6个方面综述其最新研究成果。在此基础上指出我国土壤动物群落生态学中有待开拓的研究领域是基础研究、特色区域和生态系统的研究、土地覆盖/土地利用对土壤动物的影响研究、土壤动物多样性及其保护研究、土壤动物在土壤生态系统和陆地生态系统物质循环和能量流动中的作用研究、全球变化响应研究与土壤动物应用研究。  相似文献

为揭示现阶段西溪湿地大型底栖动物群落现状及其对湿地生态保护工程的响应,于2009年8月至2010年5月对西溪湿地在3个不同时期建设的区域(Ⅰ区、Ⅱ区和Ⅲ区)中的大型底栖动物进行季度调查.共记录大型底栖动物3门8纲15科45种.霍甫水丝蚓(Limnodrilus hoffmeisteri)、多毛管水蚓(Aulodrilus pluriseta)和梨形环棱螺(Bellamya purificata)是现阶段西溪湿地大型底栖动物的优势种.最早建设的Ⅰ区的环节动物密度在各季节均低于建设较晚的Ⅱ区和Ⅲ区,而软体动物的密度和生物量的变化趋势则相反;Ⅰ区大型底栖动物的总密度虽然与Ⅱ区和Ⅲ区没有明显差异,但总生物量、物种数、Margalef物种丰富度指数和Shannon-Wiener多样性指数均显著上升.上述结果表明,西溪湿地生态保护工程早期建设区域的底栖动物多样性趋于增加,水生生态系统环境质量得以改善.ANOSIM分析显示,西溪湿地不同区域或季节间大型底栖动物群落结构均存在显著差异,且这些差异的主要贡献物种为多毛管水蚓(Aulodrilus pluriseta)和梨形环棱螺(Bellamya purificata),表明这两个优势物种对西溪湿地底栖环境变化反应敏感,可作为湿地环境评价的指示物种.BIO-ENV分析表明,水温是影响春季和夏季大型底栖动物群落结构的主要环境因子,水深是影响秋季和冬季大型底栖动物群落的主要因子,同时底泥总磷含量对解释大型底栖动物生物量和群落结构具有一定作用.  相似文献

为了解大型底栖动物沿河流分布的物种丰富度变化及环境因子对其种群的影响,于2016年12月对高岚河的大型底栖动物进行了调查,并对理化指标进行了测定。研究结果发现,物种丰富度沿河流纵向梯度变化差异性不显著,生物多样性指数沿河流变化差异不显著,说明高岚河大型底栖动物群落结构稳定。高岚河上游的生态指示种为高翔蜉和四节蜉,中游的生态指示种为四节蜉和萝卜螺,下游的指示种为萝卜螺。模糊聚类分析发现高岚河大型底栖动物类群可划分为3个生境类群,且在梯度分布下群落生境较相似,大型底栖动物群落间关系接近,分布均匀。典范对应分析发现影响大型底栖动物群落结构沿梯度分布的主要因子是海拔、pH、浊度和深度。  相似文献

目的分析总结湖北省2012年度实验动物许可单位年检中环境设施的检测结果,找出问题,提出促进湖北省实验动物环境设施可靠运行的建议。方法各实验动物环境设施采用30%区域抽检方式,依据GB14925-2010《实验动物环境及设施》,进行环境指标检测。结果除气流速度、沉降菌最大平均浓度外,其他技术指标均存在不符合国家标准的情况。结论应针对实验动物设施管理加强培训,提高实验动物设施管理人员的管理水平,从而保证实验动物设施的正常运行。  相似文献

Stereotypic behavior is observed in many species within zoological institutions. Attempts to reduce such behavior typically involve some form of environmental enrichment that provides opportunities for species appropriate behavior or some degree of control within the environment. However, environmental enrichment has never been completely successful in eliminating stereotypic behavior for an entire group of animals within a zoological facility. In the wild, stereotypic behavior is rarely observed. Documenting the occurrence of stereotypic behavior in the wild, and circumstances in which it occurs, could help provide insight into the causes of such behavior within zoological institutions. The following commentary details the observations of wild lemon sharks (Negaprion brevirostris) engaging in a stereotyped swimming pattern behind a research vessel north of Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas. We consider a possible explanation for the sharks' behavior and hope to stimulate conversation as well as increase examination of animal management routines in zoological facilities. Regardless of the economic, social and environmental impacts caused by wild animal trafficking worldwide, the suitable destination of seized specimens is one of the main challenges faced by environmental managers and authorities. In Brazil, returning seized animals to the wild has been the most frequent path in population restoration programs, and has been carried out, as a priority, in areas where the animals were captured. However, in addition to the difficulty in identifying the locations of illegal captures, little scientific knowledge is available on the future viability of the source‐areas to global climate change. Thus, the current work aims to evaluate the impacts of climate change on the main source‐municipalities for animal trafficking in Brazil, referred to herein as source‐areas. For this, using ecological niche modeling, the environmental suitability of the source‐areas for illegal animal captures was evaluated in two scenarios at two different time horizons: optimistic (RCP 26) and pessimistic (RCP 85) emission scenarios in both 2050 and 2070 projections. Moreover, the source‐areas were compared with the Brazilian Federal protected areas, used here as the control group. According to the results, Brazilian source‐municipalities are not always the best option for maintaining the most seized species in the future simulations, and, therefore, seem not be the best option for projects that aim for the return of these animals to the wild. In this sense, despite the genetic and ecological issues inherent in translocation projects, our results suggest that population restoration programs for seized species need to be rethought, and furthermore other suitable areas could be considered for truly ensuring the survival and maintenance of overexploited populations in the long term.  相似文献

Background, Aims and Scope A strategy of local incineration with 17 small incinerators (Scenario L) is compared to a strategy of 3 centralized waste incinerators (Scenario C) for the region of Central Norway, in order to assess differences in environmental performance. Rough calculations of costs are also included. The functional unit is the treatment of municipal, commercial and special waste not recycled, plus the heating of a specific number of households, for the period of 2002 to 2020. Methods Data on large and small scale incinerators were obtained from technology providers. LCA databases were used for transportation and heating, while cost estimates and Norwegian input-output tables were used for the construction of the facilities. The CML2 method was used to evaluate the impacts. Results and Discussion Transportation is a major contributor to aquatic toxicity and acidification as well as CO2 emissions. Impacts from construction are considerable for photochemical oxidation, while incineration is important for terrestrial toxicity and CO2 emissions. Conclusion Construction and operation of treatment facilities are, together with transportation, the main processes making a difference between the two strategies. Substantial gains will come from the reduction in transportation need when introducing a local incineration strategy. When considering a time span of two decades, the centralized scenario is about 2.5 to 5 times the impact potential of the local scenario for most impact categories, in terms of cumulative results. Cost estimates for the two solutions support these findings, as cumulated costs also favors a local solution. Recommendation and Outlook Transportation is a major contributor to several impact categories, and especially the transportation of special waste should become more efficient in terms of transportation distances. Cost estimates support the environmental assessment, but a more comprehensive economic study of the system would be valuable.  相似文献

广西雅长林区野生兰科植物资源丰富,约有52属156种,其中雅长保护区几乎每座山头都有兰科植物的分布,但其种类与居群基株数量等分布不均匀,且不连续,呈现出破碎化现象,其中面积较大的局部密集分布区有16处.文中根据野生兰科植物的资源现状及生物生态学特性,针对目前兰科植物保育存在的问题,分析人畜干扰及自然条件变化等不利因素,从兰科植物维持机制角度出发,提出雅长野生兰科植物的保护应以就地保护为主、迁地保育为辅的保育措施与策略:保护区应加快建设的步伐,构建野生兰科植物种质资源基因库,同时对密集分布区在人畜干扰大的区域,优先拉设铁丝网围护,并派专人巡护,重点保护,确保野生兰科植物及基因库安全.  相似文献

Purpose

Fuel economy and emissions of heavy-duty trucks greatly vary based on vehicular/environmental conditions. Large-scale infrastructure construction projects require a large amount of material/equipment transportation. Single-parameter generic hauling models may not be the best option for an accurate estimation of hauling contribution in life cycle assessment (LCA) involving construction projects; therefore, more precise data and parameterized models are required to represent this contribution. This paper discusses key environmental/operational variables and their impact on transportation of materials and equipment; a variable-impact transportation (VIT) model accounting for these variables was developed to predict environmental impacts of hauling.

Methods

The VIT model in the form of multi-nonlinear regression equations was developed based on simulations using the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s Motor Vehicle Emission Simulator (MOVES) to compute all the impact categories in EPA’s TRACI 2.1 and energy consumption of transportation. Considering actual driving cycles of hauling trucks recorded during a pavement rehabilitation project, the corresponding environmental impacts were calculated, and sensitivity analyses were performed. In addition, an LCA case study based on historical pavement reconstruction projects in Illinois was conducted to analyze the contribution of transportation and variability of its impacts during the pavements’ life cycle.

Results and discussion

The importance of vehicle driving cycles was realized from simulation results. The case study results showed that considering driving cycles using the VIT model could increase the contribution of hauling in total life cycle Global Warming Potential (GWP) and total life cycle GWP itself by 2–4 and 3–5%, respectively. In addition to GWP, ranges of other hauling-related impact categories including Smog, Ozone Depletion, Acidification, and Primary Energy Demand from fuel were presented based on the case study. Ozone Depletion ranged from 9 to 45%, and Smog ranged from 11 to 48% of the total relevant life cycle impacts. The GWP contribution of hauling in pavement LCA ranged between 5 and 32%. The results indicate that the contribution of hauling transportation can be significant in pavement LCA.

Conclusions

For large-scale roadway infrastructure construction projects that need a massive amount of material transportation, high fidelity models and data should be used especially for comparative LCAs that can be used as part of decision making between alternatives. The VIT model provides a simple analytical platform to include the critical vehicular/operational variables without any dependence on an external software; the model can also be incorporated in those studies where some of the transportation activity data are available.

Accreditation of nonhuman animal research facilities by the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC) is widely considered the “gold standard” of commitment to the well being of nonhuman animals used in research. AAALAC-accredited facilities receive preferential treatment from funding agencies and are viewed favorably by the general public. Thus, it bears investigating how well these facilities comply with U.S. animal research regulations. In this study, the incidences of noncompliance with the Animal Welfare Act (AWA) at AAALAC-accredited facilities were evaluated and compared to those at nonaccredited institutions during a period of 2 years. The analysis revealed that AAALAC-accredited facilities were frequently cited for AWA noncompliance items (NCIs). Controlling for the number of animals at each facility, AAALAC-accredited sites had significantly more AWA NCIs on average compared with nonaccredited sites. AAALAC-accredited sites also had more NCIs related to improper veterinary care, personnel qualifications, and animal husbandry. These results demonstrate that AAALAC accreditation does not improve compliance with regulations governing the treatment of animals in laboratories.  相似文献

随着人类活动对青藏高原环境系统的影响持续增强,研究各类生产生活活动的环境胁迫强度及其空间效应,是青藏高原国家公园群建设背景下精准实施环境管控、规范保护利用行为的科学基础,对提升青藏高原可持续发展能力具有重要意义。以三江源地区为例,在COD、氨氮、二氧化硫和氮氧化物4类人为源污染物排放量测算基础上,定量评估县域环境胁迫指数,解析青藏高原国家公园群区域人类活动的点—线—面环境胁迫空间效应。研究结果表明:人为源污染物排放对三江源地区的环境胁迫强度较低,且地域分异格局显著,中心城市(镇)胁迫强度较高,而国家公园所在的玛多、杂多、治多和曲麻莱4县仅为平均胁迫强度的1/2;2012—2016年间,城镇化和工业化过程的环境胁迫呈显著"点状"空间效应,农牧业生产方式的"面状"效应突出,旅游和交通运输为由点及线的"线状"胁迫。建议从提升全要素环境设施承载能力、建立全覆盖环境分区管控体系、实施生产生活旅游活动全过程环境规制等方面,制定缓解青藏高原国家公园群区域环境胁迫强度的管控与应对措施。  相似文献
