A Gram-negative, aerobic, rod-shaped, motile, non-spore-forming bacterial strain, designated 13-Q T, was isolated from seaside soil under the stacks of the red algae in Hainan province in China. Identification was carried out on the basis of polyphasic taxonomy. Phylogenetic analysis of 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain 13-Q T belonged to the genus Pedobacter, and the highest similarity was 94.4 % with Pedobacter terricola KCTC 12876 T. Strain 13-Q T was able to grow at 10–40 °C, in pH 5.0–10.0, in the presence of 0–2.0 % NaCl. The major fatty acids were iso-C 15:0 (40.4 %), summed feature 3 (comprising iso-C 15:0 2-OH and/or C 16:1 ω7 c) (18.9 %) and iso-C 17:0 3-OH (18.4 %). The predominant menaquinone was MK-7. The G+C content of the genomic DNA was 42.7 mol%. Strain 13-Q T could be distinguished from the nearest phylogenetic neighbors by various chemotaxonomic and phenotypic properties. The results of the polyphasic analyses suggested that strain 13-Q T should be considered to represent a novel species of the genus Pedobacter, for which the name Pedobacter hainanensis sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is 13-Q T (=CCTCC AB 2012076 T = NRRL B-59850 T). 相似文献

A Gram-stain negative, strictly aerobic, motile by gliding, rod-shaped and yellow pigmented strain THG-G12 T was isolated from soil of a bamboo field in Seoul, Republic of Korea. Strain THG-G12 T was observed to grow well at 20–28 °C and pH 7.0–7.5 in the absence of NaCl on nutrient agar. Based on 16S rRNA gene sequence comparisons, strain THG-G12 T was found to be most closely related to Pedobacter ginsengisoli Gsoil 104 T (97.5 % sequence similarity), Pedobacter steynii WB2.3-45 T (97.4 %), Pedobacter metabolipauper WB2.3-71 T (97.2 %), Pedobacter nyackensis NWG-II14 T (97.2 %), Pedobacter caeni LMG 22862 T (97.1 %) and Pedobacter duraquae WB2.1-25 T (97.0 %), but DNA relatedness between strain THG-G12 T and its phylogenetically closest neighbours was below 9.5 %. The G+C content of the genomic DNA was determined to be 39.9 mol%. The only isoprenoid quinone detected in strain THG-G12 T was menaquinone-7 (MK-7). The major component in the polyamine pattern was sym-homospermidine. The major polar lipids were found to be phosphatidylethanolamine, unidentified phosphoglycolipids, unidentified aminophosphoglycolipids, unidentified aminolipids and unidentified lipids. Strain THG-G12 T showed the presence of two ceramide phosphorylethanolamines (CerPE-2′ and CerPE-2″), dihydrosphingosines and an unidentified ceramide as the major ceramide. The major fatty acids were identified as summed feature 3 (as defined by the MIDI system; C 16:1 ω7 c and/or C 16:1 ω6 c) and iso-C 15:0. These data support the affiliation of strain THG-G12 T to the genus Pedobacter. The results of physiological and biochemical tests enabled strain THG-G12 T to be differentiated genotypically and phenotypically from the recognized species of the genus Pedobacter. Therefore, the novel isolate represents a novel species, for which the name Pedobacter seoulensis sp. nov. is proposed, with THG-G12 T as the type strain (=KACC 17529 T =JCM 19363 T). 相似文献

A novel strain, DCY108 T was isolated from soil of a Panax ginseng field, Yeoncheon province (38°04′N 126°57′E), Republic of Korea. Strain DCY108 T is Gram-negative, non-motile, non-flagellate, rod-shaped, and aerobic. The bacterium grows optimally at 25–30 °C, pH 6.5–7.0 and 1 % NaCl. Phylogenetically, strain DCY108 T is closely related to Pedobacter jejuensis JCM 18824 T, Pedobacter aquatilis JCM 13454 T, Pedobacter kyungheensis LMG 26577 T and the type strain of the genus Pedobacter heparinus DSM 2366 T. The DNA–DNA relatedness values between strain DCY108 T and its close phylogenetic neighbors were below 30.0 %. The DNA G+C content of strain DCY108 T was determined to be 45.1 mol%. The predominant quinone was menaquinone 7 (MK-7). The major polar lipids were identified as phosphatidylethanolamine and three unidentified aminolipids AL1, AL13 and AL17. Iso-C 15:00, iso-C 17:03OH and summed feature 3 (C 16:1 ω7 c/C 16:1 ω6 c) were identified as the major fatty acids present in strain DCY108 T. The results of physiological and biochemical tests allowed strain DCY108 T to be differentiated phenotypically from other recognized species belonging to the genus Pedobacter. Therefore, it is suggested that the newly isolated organism represents a novel species, for which the name Pedobacter panacis sp. nov is proposed with the type strain designated as DCY108 T (=CCTCCAB 2015196 T = KCTC 42748 T). 相似文献

A strain designated as S85 T was isolated from a seaweed collected from coastal area of Chuuk State in Micronesia. The strain was gram-negative, rod-shaped, and non-motile and formed yellow colonies on the SWY agar (0.2 % yeast extract and 1.5 % agar in seawater) and Marine agar 2216. The strain grew at pH 5–9 (optimum, pH 8), at 15–40 °C (optimum, 25–28 °C), and with 1–9 % (w/v) NaCl (optimum, 3 %). The phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequence showed that strain S85 T was related to Lutibacter litoralis CL-TF09 T and Maritimimonas rapanae A31 T with 91.4 % and with 90.5 % similarity, respectively. The dominant fatty acids were iso-C 15:0, iso-C 15:0 3-OH and iso-C 17:0 3-OH, C 16:0 3-OH and summed feature 3 (C 16:1 ω7c and/or iso-C 15:0 2-OH). The major isoprenoid quinone was MK-6. The DNA G+C content of the type strain was 34.6 mol %. The major polar lipids were phosphatidylethanolamine, an unknown glycolipid and two unknown polar lipids. Based on this polyphasic taxonomic data, strain S85 T stands for a novel species of a new genus, and we propose the name Ochrovirga pacifica gen. nov., sp. nov. The type strain of O. pacifica is S85 T (=KCCM 90106 =JCM 18327 T). 相似文献

A Gram-negative, aerobic, non-motile, and rod-shaped bacterium, designated strain DS48-5-3 T, was isolated from a 48 m sediment sample taken from Daechung Reservoir, Republic of Korea. Comparative 16S rRNA gene sequence studies showed a clear affiliation of this strain to the Bacteroidetes, notably most closely related to Ferruginibacter alkalilentus HU1-GD23 T, Ferruginibacter lapsinanis HU1-HG42 T and Ferruginibacter yonginensis HME8442 T, showing 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities to the type strains of these species of 95.2–96.4 % similarity. The predominant ubiquinone was identified as MK-7. The major fatty acids were identified as iso-C 15:0, iso-C 17:0 3-OH, and iso-C 15:1 G. The G+C content of the genomic DNA of strain DS48-5-3 T was determined to be 37.2 %. On the basis of polyphasic evidence, it is proposed that strain DS48-5-3 T should belong to a novel species, for which the name Ferruginibacter profundus sp. nov. (type strain DS48-5-3 T = KCTC 32478 T = JCM 19431 T), is proposed. 相似文献

An orange-colored bacterial strain, ICM 1–15 T, was isolated from greenhouse soil. The 16S rRNA gene sequence of this strain showed the highest sequence similarity with Niabella ginsengisoli GR10-1 T (95.2%) and Niabella yanshanensis CCBAU 05354 T (95.0%) among the type strains. The strain ICM 1–15 T was a strictly aerobic, Gram-negative, non-spore-forming, non-motile, flexirubin pigment-producing, short rod-shaped bacterium. The strain grew at 15–35°C (optimum, 25°C), at a pH of 5.0–8.5 (optimum, pH 6.5), and in the presence of 0–3% NaCl (optimum, 1%). The DNA G+C content of strain ICM 1–15 T was 43.6 mol%. It contained MK-7 as the major isoprenoid quinone and iso-C 15:0 (38.9%), iso-C 15:1 G (20.3%), and iso-C 17:0 3-OH (12.9%) as the major fatty acids. On the basis of evidence from our polyphasic taxonomic study, we concluded that strain ICM 1–15 T should be classified within a novel species of the genus Niabella, for which the name Niabella terrae sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is ICM 1–15 T (=KACC 17443 T =JCM 19502 T). 相似文献
