耳石是头足类重要的硬组织之一,被广泛应用在头足类渔业生物学、生态学研究中。根据2018年12月中国鱿钓船在日本海采集的261尾舍氏贝乌贼(Berryteuthis magister shevtsovi)样本,对其耳石外部形态生长特性进行了研究。主成分分析表明,耳石总长(TSL)、翼区长(WL)、吻侧区长(RLL)和最大宽度(MW)可以作为舍氏贝乌贼耳石外形变化的表征参数。协方差分析表明,舍氏贝乌贼耳石的表征参数与胴长及体质量的生长关系均不存在性别间显著性差异。赤池信息准则分析表明:TSL和WL与胴长的生长关系最适合用线性生长方程表示,RLL与胴长的生长关系最适合用幂函数生长方程表示,MW与胴长的生长关系则最适合用对数生长方程表示;TSL和MW与体质量的生长关系最适合用线性生长方程表示,WL与体质量的生长关系最适合用幂函数生长方程表示,而RLL与体质量的生长关系则最适合用对数生长方程表示。舍氏贝乌贼耳石绝对尺寸随着胴长增加而逐渐增大,但耳石各外部形态参数的相对尺寸基本不变。  相似文献

本文描述了上寒武统凤山组头足类27个种,分属于16个属,5个科。其中2新科,11新属,26新种。除2个种属于原珠角石目外,其余都属于爱丽斯曼角石目。文中对头足类早期阶段(ε_3-0)的系统发生进行了分析研究,编制了系统发生图。并指出我国北方黄河古海盆,不仅是头足类的发源地,而且是头足类早期阶段辐射发展的中心,寒武纪末期一凤山期是头足类发生、发展的很重要的时期;凤山期早期的Plectronoceras 是头足类早期阶段的代表,内角石类,珠角石类,鹦鹉螺类是由它演化而来的。还从头足类演化的角度,讨论了寒武系与奥陶系的分界问题。  相似文献

为了丰富拟目乌贼(Sepia lycidas)生物学资料, 为人工育苗与养殖提供理论依据, 采用解剖学和组织学的方法, 对水泥池养殖条件下拟目乌贼卵子发生和卵巢发育进行了研究。结果表明: 经过6个月水泥池养殖, 平均体重为256.34 g, 最大体重达到457.08 g, 个别发育成熟, 绝大部分未达性成熟。卵子发生不同步, 根据细胞形态、细胞大小、滤泡细胞形态和卵黄形成情况可分为卵原细胞阶段(卵原细胞期)、原生质生长阶段(无滤泡期、单层滤泡期和双层滤泡期)、间质生长阶段(滤泡内折早期、滤泡内折中期和滤泡内折晚期)和营养质生长阶段(卵黄发生早期、卵黄发生晚期和成熟期), 共4个阶段10个时期。卵巢发育根据外观形态、性腺指数变化和切面上各期细胞所占的比例, 可分为形成前期、形成期、小生长期、大生长期、成熟前期和成熟期6个时期。拟目乌贼繁殖周期为一年。    相似文献

角质颚是研究头足类渔业生态学的重要材料.基于2018年9—11月中国鱿钓船在西北太平洋生产调查期间采集的268尾北方拟黵乌贼样本,对其角质颚外部形态生长特性进行了研究.主成分分析表明: 北方拟黵乌贼角质颚的上头盖长(UHL)、上脊突长(UCL)、上喙长(URL)、下头盖长(LHL)、下脊突长(LCL)和下喙长(LRL)可作为研究其角质颚外形变化的特征因子.协方差分析表明: 各特征因子与胴长和体重的生长关系在性别间均不存显著性差异.赤池信息准则分析显示: UHL、LHL与胴长生长的关系最适于用幂函数表示,UCL、URL、LCL与胴长生长的关系最适于用对数函数表示,而LRL与胴长生长的关系则最适于用线性函数表示;各特征参数与体重生长的关系,除LHL最适于用幂函数表示外,其余均最适于用对数函数表示.外形特征因子生长模型的确定,为北方拟黵乌贼的资源评估等研究打下科学基础.  相似文献

本文采用扫描电子显微镜对7种头足类腕上的吸盘及乌贼的内壳进行观察。结果表明,蛸科(Octopodidae)的短蛸(Octopus ocellatus)、真蛸(O. vulgaris)和长蛸(O. variabilis)腕的吸盘均无齿,乌贼科(Sepiidae)的日本无针乌贼(Sepia japonica)和金乌贼(S.esculenta)的腕和触腕吸盘上的角质环均有齿,且齿的形状不一样;虎斑乌贼(S. pharoanis)触腕的吸盘角质环光滑无齿,枪乌贼科(Loliginidae)的中国枪乌贼(Uroteuthis chinensis)腕上吸盘的角质环无齿。对3种乌贼的内壳的横切面进行扫描电镜观察,乌贼的内壳的背表面和腹表面的结构均是由文石和铺在上面的球型颗粒构成,但文石的形状和小球的排列存在种间差异,这些差异可以作为头足类的分类辅助特征。  相似文献

内壳可完整记录头足类的生活信息,是研究头足类年龄与生长的良好载体。根据2018年12月中国鱿钓船在日本海采集的261尾舍氏贝乌贼(Berryteuthis magter shevtsovi)样本,研究了其内壳长、叶轴长与个体生长的关系,尾锥宽、翼部最大宽度与性腺成熟度的关系以及叶轴、翼部和尾锥的生长特性。结果显示,舍氏贝乌贼内壳长和叶轴长均与胴长具有线性关系(R^(2)>0.76),与体重具有幂函数关系(R^(2)>0.77);尾锥宽和翼部最大宽度均在性腺成熟度达到Ⅲ期后增长明显。舍氏贝乌贼内壳叶轴和翼部生长速率基本相同,且远大于尾锥的生长速率。研究表明,舍氏贝乌贼内壳可用于分析个体生长,尤其在其胴体遭到损伤时更为重要,内壳宽度生长主要在个体性成熟之后。  相似文献

在浙南海域布设42个调查站位, 于2015年11月、2016年2月、5月和8月进行了4个航次的系统调查。针对获得的头足类样品, 运用相对重要性指数、生态位宽度和生态位重叠等生态指标, 结合非度量多维标度法(nMDS)和典范对应分析(CCA)对生态位的重叠和分化进行分析。结果表明: 调查海域有头足类14种, 优势种为剑尖枪乌贼、多钩钩腕乌贼、曼氏无针乌贼和火枪乌贼; 生态位变化范围为0.09—7.01, 多钩钩腕乌贼、剑尖枪乌贼、柏氏四盘耳乌贼和火枪乌贼为广生态位种, 四盘耳乌贼、曼氏无针乌贼和田乡枪乌贼为中生态位种, 其余为窄生态位种; 生态位重叠值范围为0.00—0.70, 种间变化较大; 影响头足类分布的最主要因素是悬浮物, 其次为叶绿素和盐度, 温度和溶氧影响相对较小, 这些环境因素综合解释了此区域头足类群落结构83%的总变异。  相似文献

角质颚作为头足类的摄食器官,蕴含丰富的生态信息。根据2018年中国鱿钓船在日本海采集的303尾舍氏贝乌贼(Berryteuthis magister shevtsovi)样本,对其角质颚形态特征进行了分析。主成分分析显示,上头盖长、上喙长和上喙宽可解释舍氏贝乌贼上颚形态特征80.71%的信息,选为上颚的外形表征参数,下头盖长、下脊突长和下喙长可解释形态特征81.57%的信息,选为下颚的外形表征参数。协方差分析表明,舍氏贝乌贼角质颚外形表征参数与胴长和体重的关系均不存在性别间显著性差异。方程拟合和赤池信息准则结果表明,上头盖长与胴长的生长关系最适合用线性方程表示,而上喙长、上喙宽、下头盖长、下脊突长和下喙长与胴长的生长关系均最适用对数方程表示。上头盖长与体重的生长关系最适合用线性方程表示,而上喙长、上喙宽、下头盖长、下脊突长、下喙长与体重的生长关系均最适用对数方程表示。表征参数及其与胴长(或体重)关系式的确定,为后续利用角质颚外形进行种群鉴定和资源评估打下了基础。  相似文献

乌贼主要分布在北大西洋东部及非洲沿岸海域,是拖网渔业的重要捕捞对象,也是大西洋乌贼科最重要的商业种。本研究根据2015年7—8月西非沿岸采集的乌贼样本,测量了283 尾乌贼内壳外部形态参数,结合内壳日龄信息,对不同性别乌贼生长特性进行了研究。结果表明: 不同性别乌贼胴长和体重存在显著差异。通过读取内壳日龄,发现雌雄性优势日龄组均为80~100 d。内壳外部形态与日龄的拟合函数中,Logistic函数的拟合效果最佳。雌性个体内壳外部形态参数的最大似然估计值均大于雄性。雄性和雌性乌贼内壳长和内壳宽的绝对和瞬时相对生长率分别在110~120 d 和100~110 d 达到峰值。雄性和雌性的初次性成熟日龄分别为111 d和104 d。不同性别乌贼的生长差异可能与栖息环境密切相关。  相似文献

为了解南海北部近海头足类优势种的种间关系,根据2014—2015年该海域4个季节底拖网渔业资源调查,应用相对重要性指数、生态位宽度和重叠指数从时空维度分析头足类优势种的生态位特征。结果表明: 该海域4个季节的头足类优势种共5种,分别为剑尖枪乌贼、中国枪乌贼、火枪乌贼、金乌贼和杜氏枪乌贼,前两种是4个季节的共同优势种。与历史数据相比,头足类优势种的种类组成已发生改变。头足类资源时空分布格局明显,海南岛南部至粤东海域资源密度高于北部湾,季节变化呈夏季高而冬季低特征。时空生态位分析表明,优势种的时间和空间生态位宽度没有一致位序,剑尖枪乌贼和中国枪乌贼分别占据最大的时间(1.32)和空间生态位宽度(3.90),而时间和空间生态位宽度最小的物种分别是金乌贼(0.98)和杜氏枪乌贼(2.04)。虽然时间生态位重叠在数值上显著高于空间生态位重叠,但二者均是在中国枪乌贼、剑尖枪乌贼、火枪乌贼等种对间有较高重叠,而杜氏枪乌贼与其余4个优势种的重叠较低。相关分析表明,在时空尺度上生态位宽度与丰度的变化均呈极显著负相关。生态位可反映物种资源量时空变化信息,丰富了传统渔业群落研究方法。  相似文献

Lycoteuthis lorigera is an oceanic squid that is abundant in the Benguela system. Little is known about the biology of this squid except that it is eaten in large numbers by numerous oceanic predators and that males grow to larger size than females, which is unique for oegopsid squid. The aim of this study was to better understand the biology of this species by investigating its age and growth, as well as its mating system. Toward this end, the age of 110 individuals, ranging from 35 to 110 mm, was estimated by counting statolith growth increments. Estimates of age ranged from 131 to 315 days and varied with mantle length. No significant differences were found in the size of males and females of equivalent ages. The relationship between ML and age for both sexes was best described by an exponential growth curve, probably because no early life stages were aged in this study. Only one mature male (ML 160 mm) was aged, and preliminary estimates suggest it was 386 days old. Instantaneous growth rates were low (0.54% ML/day and 1.4% BM/day) but consistent with enoploteuthid growth rates. When the growth rate of L. lorigera was corrected for temperature encountered during the animal’s life, the growth rate was fast (0.47% BM/degree-days) and consistent with the hypothesis that small cephalopods grow fast and that large cephalopods grow older, rather than fast. Mature females were often mated and had spermatangia in a seminal receptacle on the dorsal pouch behind the nuchal cartilage. Males probably transfer spermatangia to the females using their long second and/or third arm pair since the paired terminal organs open far from the mantle opening. M. A. C. We examined the stomachs of 25 false killer whales collected from a mass stranding of 181 animals along both coasts of the Strait of Magellan, Chile, in March 1989. The 21 stomachs (nine males and 12 females), with food remains contained 11 prey species (nine cephalopods and two fishes) with a total of 442 individuals. Except for one case, food remains were meager, indicating that the animals had not eaten for some time or through stress had vomited on the beach. Eleven of the 21 animals had mud (often with squid beaks) in the esophagus and first stomach. The prey were identified employing squid beaks, fish otoliths and bones, and their wet weights were estimated using regressions between hard parts and known weights of species. The most important prey were the oceanic and neritic-oceanic squids, Martialia byadesi and Illex argentinus, followed by the neritic fish, Macruronus magellanicus. Of less importance were the oceanic squid, Todaroes fillipovae, the oceanic and epipelagic octopus, Ocytboe sp., and the oceanic squid, Moroteuthis ingens. The rest of the prey were poorly represented and included four oceanic squids and one neritic fish. The prey species of these animals were subantarctic, with two antarctic species, abundant over the Patagonian shelf and adjacent oceanic waters around Tierra del Fuego.  相似文献

Little is known about the feeding ecology of pygmy sperm whales ( Kogia breviceps ) in the Northeast Atlantic. Results are presented on the stomach contents of five whales stranded on the Galician coast (NW Spain) between 1995 and 2002 and seven whales stranded on the French Atlantic coast between 1984 and 2001. These results are compared with those obtained from the stomach contents of two pygmy sperm whales (a pregnant female and her calf ) stranded on the Scottish (UK) coast in 1999, the first records of the species in Scotland. In 13 out of 14 cases, food remains consisted almost entirely of cephalopod beaks, although some crustacean and fish remains were also present. In all the Spanish specimens, the identified prey were oceanic species: the cephalopods Histioteuthis reversa , H. bonnellii , Todarodes sagittatus , the viperfish Chauliodus sloani , and the giant mysid Gnatophausia sp. The same cephalopod species were found in the stomachs of the whales stranded in Scotland, although both whales had also consumed neritic cephalopod species such as Rossia macrosoma and other sepiolids. In the French specimens, almost all prey identified were oceanic cephalopods ( H. reversa , Brachioteuthis riseii , T. sagittatus , Taonius pavo , etc. ), but remains of crustaceans and a neritic squid ( Loligo forbesi ) were also found. One whale from France had eaten mainly Henslow's swimming crab ( Polybius henslowi ). Results from the present study are consistent with those found by other authors in the Azores and the Canary Islands in that pygmy sperm whales appear to be mainly teuthophagous, with histioteuthid squids forming an important part of the diet. Strandings records suggest that occurrence of pygmy sperm whales in the NE Atlantic may be seasonal, with most strandings occurring in autumn and winter.  相似文献

To understand the developmental process of aphid soldier differentiation, we investigated the morphological characters of normal nymphs, soldier nymphs and developing embryos of Pseudoregma bambucicola. Results of morphometric analyses showed that normal and soldier nymphs formed discrete clusters on the basis of several morphological characters, although a small number of intermediate individuals, termed ‘intercaste nymphs’, were present. In late embryonic stages, normal and soldier embryos were morphologically distinguishable. The earlier the embryonic stage, the smaller the morphological differences between them. In early embryos less than 1000 µm in length, normal and soldier embryos were not morphologically distinguishable, suggesting that the onset of soldier differentiation occurs at an early embryonic stage. Throughout embryonic development, morphological differentiation of the soldier caste proceeded gradually. Notably, several morphological characters of soldiers grew remarkably upon larviposition. Observation of embryonic leg cuticle revealed a characteristic folding structure, indicating that some morphological traits of the soldier are exaggerated upon larviposition through expansion of the folded cuticle. We suggest that morphological differentiation of the soldier caste in P. bambucicola comprises two phases: gradual growth during embryogenesis and rapid growth upon larviposition.  相似文献

Juvenile loggerhead sea turtles spend more than a decade in the open ocean before returning to neritic waters to mature and reproduce. It has been assumed that this transition from an oceanic to neritic existence is a discrete ontogenetic niche shift. We tested this hypothesis by tracking the movements of large juveniles collected in a neritic foraging ground in North Carolina, USA. Our work shows that the shift from the oceanic to neritic waters is both complex and reversible; some individuals move back into coastal waters and then return to the open ocean for reasons that are still unclear, sometimes for multiple years. These findings have important consequences for efforts to protect these threatened marine reptiles from mortality in both coastal and open-ocean fisheries.  相似文献

In some oncocerid cephalopods the shape of the aperture, siphuncle and the general outline of the shell have long served as generic characters. The aperture is mostly elaborated into a certain number of sinuses which take their final shape only in the adult. Therefore, knowledge of the relative age of the animal is required. The last chamber may serve as an indicator of age. A last chamber smaller than the second last indicates a mature specimen. This is because continued growth would have caused the death of the animal as the buoyancy turned negative. Moreover, it is of great importance to study the growth lines along the peristome to observe whether growth has ceased or not. Growth variations have been compared with growth stages. Furthermore, a constricted or contracted aperture can only be determined on specimens with the shell still preserved. Morphological and morphometric development of the upper jaw (UJ) and lower jaw (LJ) and arm crown of Chiroteuthis cf. veranyi, Liocranchia reinhardti (oceanic species), and Doryteuthis opalescens (neritic species) paralarvae were analyzed in order to verify whether or not they are determined by developmental modes. Jaw measurements were taken, correlated with mantle length (ML) by multiple linear regression to determine relative influences on growth, and compared between species by ANOVA to identify differences. Development was expected to be similar between oceanic species, but was morphologically similar between L. reinhardti and D. opalescens, and morphometrically similar between the latter and C. cf. veranyi. UJ and LJ measurements with highest correlation with ML are larger in L. reinhardti, indicating greater beak development in this species. Rostrum robustness is higher in L. reinhardti, intermediate in D. opalescens, and lower in C. cf. veranyi, hinting at the respective prey type. Teeth (LJ) and slit, characteristics of ancestral cephalopods, are present, disappearing completely and partially on the largest specimens of L. reinhardti and D. opalescens, respectively, and remaining in all sizes of C. cf. veranyi. The results suggest that their presence in early paralarvae reflects an adaptation to sucking the pre-digested internal fluids of prey.  相似文献

Netplankton collections from shallow-water stations in MontereyBay, California were examined for 1976 and 1977. The predominatingphytoplankton forms were neritic diatom species. Recurrent speciesgroups were identified using Fager's regroup analysis and theirdistributions related to hydrographic seasons. Neritic groupswere relatively more abundant during the Davidson Current andupweiling periods; however, many of the species were presentthroughout much of the year. The appearance of oceanic groupsand species was seasonal and associated with advective events. One neritic species group was of overwhelming numerical importancebut within the group conspicuous changes in relative abundanceof phytoplankton populations occurred seasonally among speciesfrom this group. This group appears to be composed of residentspecies and may be locally retained as vegetative cells or benthicresting stages. Species cycles in Monterey Bay may be regardedas largely the result of suc-cessional changes or cycles ofautochthonous species, while species introduced by adjectiveprocesses appear to be of minor importance. The study has suggested that the presence of species in a ‘seedpopulation’, either as vegetative cells or benthic restingstages, may be important as the growth rate of the species inunderstanding and predicting composition and relative abundancein coastal phytoplankton assemblages.  相似文献

The short-beaked common dolphin, Delphinus delphis , is abundant in both neritic and oceanic habitats. These two domains differ largely in terms of the nature of forage organisms and their availability to surface-bound top predators, which suggests that the common dolphin should show extensive variability in foraging strategies as a response to these different habitats. However, although its diet is well known over continental shelves, so far, mostly because of sampling issues, nothing has been published on its diet in oceanic habitats. In this study, the diet of sixty-three common dolphins bycaught in the French albacore tuna driftnet fishery in the summers of 1992–1993 in the oceanic Bay of Biscay was determined from their stomach contents and compared to neritic studies. The diet was dominated by fish (90% by number [N] and 53% by mass of total diet [M]). Cephalopods were also important in the total diet (9%N, 46%M) but were a prey of secondary importance in the fresh fraction (3%N, 10%M), presumably due to longer retention of cephalopod remains in the stomach. Crustaceans were of minor importance. At the species level, the myctophid fish ( Notoscopelus kroeyeri ) largely dominated the diet. Prey size ranged from 1 to 68 cm, but the majority of preys were from 2 to 30 cm. The prey characteristics and their state of digestion suggest that the common dolphin forages preferentially on small schooling, vertically migrating mesopelagic fauna in the surface layer at dusk and early night. The diet is taxonomically distinct from results obtained in neritic studies but is similar in terms of prey type and the corresponding feeding behavior.  相似文献
