为探讨维生素C (VC)和维生素E (VE)联用对应激和非应激中华鳖幼鳖的生长、肝脏VC 和VE 以及血清皮质醇含量的影响 ,作者使用了 5组饵料 ,VC 和VE 的添加量依次为 0和 0mg/kg (对照组 )、 2 5 0和 5 0mg/kg (实验Ⅰ组 )、2 5 0 0和 5 0mg/kg (实验Ⅱ组 ) ;2 5 0和 2 5 0mg/kg (实验Ⅲ组 ) ;2 5 0 0和 2 5 0mg/kg(实验Ⅳ组 )。中华鳖幼鳖的生长、肝脏VC 和VE以及血清皮质醇分别通过特定生长率、高压液相色谱法和放免法来测定。结果实验Ⅰ -Ⅳ组中华鳖的特定生长率明显高于不加VC 和VE的对照组 ,但实验Ⅰ -Ⅳ组间没有明显不同。非应激中华鳖肝脏VC 和VE的含量随饵料中VC 和VE 含量的增加而明显升高 ,并且实验Ⅱ -Ⅳ组肝脏VC 和VE都明显高于对照组和实验Ⅰ组。酸应激后 ,对照组和实验组中华鳖肝脏VC 和VE都有下降的趋势 ,但无显著差异 ;应激后实验Ⅱ -Ⅳ组肝脏VC 和VE均明显高于对照组 ,实验Ⅳ组明显高于其它 4组。血清皮质醇的含量在实验Ⅰ -Ⅳ组间没有明显不同 ,实验Ⅰ -Ⅲ组与对照组相比虽有降低的趋势但没有变化 ,实验Ⅳ组则明显低于对照组。酸应激后 ,对照组血清皮质醇明显升高 ,其他 4组虽有升高的趋势 ,但没有明显变化。应激后实验Ⅰ -Ⅳ组血清皮质醇的含量均明显低于对照组 ,实验Ⅰ -Ⅳ组间没有明显  相似文献

为探讨维生素E(VE)对中华鳖(Pelodiscus sinensis)幼鳖血清补体C3和C4的影响及补体在酸应激下的变化,在6组(对照组,实验Ⅰ、Ⅱ、Ⅲ、Ⅳ和Ⅴ组)幼鳖的饵料中依次添加0、50、250、500、1000和5000mg/kg的VE,喂食4周,每组取半数幼鳖经酸应激处理24h。取幼鳖血清,用透射比浊法测定血清补体C3和C4的含量。经和未经酸应激的实验Ⅱ、Ⅲ和Ⅳ组幼鳖血清补体C3的含量均明显高于对照组,实验Ⅰ和Ⅱ组C4含量也明显高于对照组;经酸应激的幼鳖与未经酸应激的比较,对照组和实验Ⅰ组C3和C4的含量显著下降,其余4组没有变化。分析说明,VE在一定剂量范围内能促进血清补体C3和C4的合成,酸应激能导致其下降;而高剂量的VE对酸应激导致的不利影响有拮抗作用。  相似文献

以初始体质量(7.27士0.40)g的青鱼为研究对象,采用维生素E(VE)有效含量分别为14.36(对照组)、25.14、37.66、62.97、113.92和210.45 mg/kg6种等氮等能的实验饲料,饲养青鱼幼鱼8周后,根据生长情况选取对照组、62.97和210.45 mg/kg VE组进行24h氨氮胁迫(20 mg/L),研究VE对青鱼幼鱼生长、免疫及抗氨氮胁迫能力的影响.结果表明:以特定生长率为指标,折线模型分析表明青鱼有效维生素E需要量为45.00 mg/kg.肌肉、肝脏和血清VE含量与饲料中VE含量呈明显正相关,当饲料VE含量超过113.92 mg/kg时,肌肉和肝脏VE含量均达到饱和.VE对鳃丝Na+/K+-ATP酶活性(NKA)和血清皮质醇(COR)无显著影响,但随着饲料VE含量的升高,过氧化氢酶(CAT)和总超氧化物歧化酶活性(T-SOD)呈上升趋势,丙二醛含量(MDA)呈下降趋势.氨氮胁迫对各处理组肌肉VE含量和血清CAT活性无影响,但肝脏VE含量均显著降低(P<0.05),且62.97和210.4 5 mg/kg VE组血清VE水平有所升高.在胁迫后,对照组血清T-SOD、鳃丝NKA活性显著降低,皮质醇含量显著增加(P<0.05).与对照组相比,62.97和210.45 mg/kg VE组T-SOD、NKA活性和皮质醇含量在胁迫前后无显著变化.各处理组MDA含量在胁迫后虽均显著升高,但210.45 mg/kg VE组在胁迫后MDA含量仍显著低于对照组(P<0.05).以上结果说明,青鱼幼鱼获得最大生长的有效维生素E需求量为45.00 mg/kg,且较高VE能有效提高青鱼机体免疫力,缓解氨氮胁迫对青鱼机体的负面影响.  相似文献

为研究维生素C对中华鳖(Pelodiscus sinensis)血清补体C3和C4的影响及其在酸应激条件下的变化,我们设置了6个实验组,饵料中维生素C的添加量依次为0、250、500、2500、5000和10000mg/kg,喂食4周后取其血清,用透射比浊法测定酸应激前后中华鳖血清补体C3和C4的含量。结果表明,维生素C添加量为250mg/kg时,血清补体C3的含量与对照组间没有明显不同;维生素C添加量为500、2500、5000和10000mg/kg的4组,血清补体C3的含量明显高于对照组和维生素C添加量为250mg/kg组;维生素C添加量为500mg/kg的一组,血清补体CA含量明显高于其它5组;维生素C添加量为250mg/kg组明显高于10000mg/kg组。酸应激后,补体C3的含量没有明显下降,将维生素C添加量为0、250和500mg/kg的三组并为一组处理,则应激后有明显下降。维生素C添加量为0、250和500mg/kg的3组,血清补体CA的含量在酸应激后明显下降,而维生素C添加量为2500、5000和10000mg/kg的3组,应激后血清补体C4没有明显变化。维生素C和酸应激对中华鳖血清补体C3和CA含量的影响没有交互作用。这说明,维生素C在一定剂量范围内,能提高中华鳖血清补体C3和CA的水平,酸应激能导致其含量降低,而高剂量的维生素C对其下降有颉颃作用[动物学报49(6):769~774,2003]。  相似文献

摘试验采用单因子梯度设计。在试验中,维生素E设6个梯度,分别为10mg/k只、Ⅱ50mg/kg、Ⅲ125mg/kg、Ⅳ200mg/kg、Ⅴ275mg/kg、Ⅵ350mg/kg,前后进行175d饲养试验,以雌鳝性腺系数、产卵力、孵化率以及各组织中SOD活性、MDA含量等指标作为判据,研究了VE对雌鳝繁殖性能的影响。结果表明,随饲料中VE,含量的增加,Ⅰ、Ⅱ、Ⅲ、Ⅳ组雌鳝性腺系数、产卵力和孵化率显著提高(P〈0.05),Ⅴ、Ⅵ组则提高不显著(P〉0.05),卵中VE的含量反映了饲料中VE的含量。雌鳝卵巢中SOD活性,Ⅳ、Ⅴ和Ⅵ组比Ⅰ、Ⅱ和Ⅲ组显著低(P〈0.05),相应地,MDA含量Ⅳ、Ⅴ和Ⅵ组显著低于Ⅰ、Ⅱ和Ⅲ组(P〈0.05)。Ⅰ、Ⅱ和Ⅲ组雌鳝,虽然其卵巢中SOD活性较高,但因饲料中抗氧化性的VE。缺乏或不足,引发卵子脂质过氧化,MDA含量显著升高(P〈0.05),导致卵质低下,从而影响了卵子孵化。综上所述,雌鳝饲料中添加维生素E,能有效地改善雌鳝的繁殖性能,其最适添加量为200mg/kg。  相似文献

饲料中Vc水平对中华鳖幼鳖生长及其组织中含量的影响   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
以中华鳖幼鳖为研究对象 ,以高稳定性维生素C磷酸酯为Vc源 ,研究饲料添加Vc对中华鳖生长及其Vc在组织中含量的影响。试验分别投喂基础配方相同而分别添加Vc 0、5 0、10 0、2 0 0、4 0 0、80 0mg/kg的饲料 ,在水温 31±2℃条件下养殖于结构相同、面积分别为 10 .5m2 的 18口水泥池中 ,进行为期 10 5d的养殖试验。结果表明 :(1)饲料添加Vc可提高中华鳖幼鳖增重率 ,其中添加 2 0 0mg/kg组效果最佳 ,与未添加组间差异显著 (P <0 .0 5 ) ;饲料添加Vc能提高蛋白质转化效率 ,添加Vc2 0 0、4 0 0、80 0mg/kg组与不添加的对照组之间差异均显著 (P <0 .0 5 ) ;而且 ,饲料添加Vc能降低饵料系数 ,但未达到显著差异 (P >0 .0 5 ) ;未添加的对照组和低剂量组未见有Vc缺乏症产生。(2 )基于试验幼鳖增重率折线法分析 ,中华鳖幼鳖获得最佳生长时的饲料Vc最低需求量为 184mg/kg ;(3)肝脏中Vc含量随着饲料Vc添加水平上升而增加 ,相关系数达 0 .95 4 2 ,各添加组与未添加组间有显著差异 (P <0 .0 5 ) ;肝脏Vc含量的回归分析表明 ,获得维持肝脏组织Vc储存最佳的饲料Vc添加水平为 192mg/kg。 (4)饲料添加Vc可显著地降低鳖体水分含量 (P <0 .0 1) ,并略能增加体脂沉积 (P >0 .0 5 )。  相似文献

本研究旨在探讨维生素C和E合用对中华鳖幼鳖非特异性免疫功能的影响。实验设 5组 ,5组饵料中维生素C和E的添加量依次为 0和 0mg/kg(对照组 ) ;2 5 0和 5 0mg/kg(实验Ⅰ组 ) ;2 5 0 0和 2 5 0mg/kg(实验Ⅱ组 ) ;2 5 0和2 5 0mg/kg(实验Ⅲ组 ) ;2 5 0 0和 2 5 0mg/kg(实验Ⅳ组 )。喂食 4周 ,取其血液 ,测定中华鳖血细胞的吞噬率、血清溶菌活力、杀菌活力、补体C3和C4。结果表明 ,实验Ⅱ—Ⅳ组 ,血细胞吞噬率和血清杀菌活力明显高于对照组 ,实验Ⅳ组明显高于其他 4组 ,并且维生素C和E之间有明显的协同作用。血清溶菌活力和补体C3的含量 ,在实验Ⅰ—Ⅳ组明显高于对照组 ,实验Ⅳ组明显高于其他 4组。补体C4在实验Ⅰ—Ⅳ组明显高于对照组 ,但实验Ⅰ—Ⅳ组间没有明显差别 ,维生素C和E间也没有协同作用。  相似文献

来自甲鱼养殖场的60只中华鳖(Pelodiscus sinensis)幼鳖驯养3周后,实验设5组:对照组、处理Ⅰ、Ⅱ、Ⅲ和Ⅳ组。各组设2个平行,依次在饵料中混合添加维生素C(Vc)和E(VE)为0和0、250和50、2500和50、250和250、2500和250mg/kg,喂食4周后,每组取半数幼鳖经酸应激处理24h。取幼鳖血液,用镜检法测定血细胞的吞噬率,透射比浊法测定血清溶菌活力、杀菌活力以及补体C3和C4含量。①经酸应激与未经酸应激处理相比:对照组血细胞吞噬率显著降低,而处理Ⅰ-Ⅳ组无显著变化;对照组和处理Ⅰ组血清溶菌活力和补体C3含量显著下降,而处理Ⅱ-Ⅳ组无显著变化;血清杀菌活力均有显著下降(对照组、处理Ⅰ和Ⅲ组极显著,处理Ⅱ组和Ⅳ组显著);对照组、处理Ⅰ和Ⅲ组血清补体C4显著下降,而处理Ⅱ和Ⅴ组无显著变化。②经酸应激处理,血细胞吞噬率、血清溶菌活力、杀菌活力和补体C3含量,处理Ⅰ~Ⅳ组的均显著高于对照组,处理Ⅳ组显著高于其他4组;血清杀菌活力,处理Ⅱ组又高于处理Ⅰ和Ⅲ组;血清补体C4,对照组显著低于处理Ⅰ-Ⅳ组,而处理Ⅰ-Ⅳ组间无显著相异。Vc和VE混合饲喂对酸应激后中华鳖血细胞吞噬率、血清溶菌活力、杀菌活力和补体C3含量有显著协同促进作用,对血清补体C4的合成无协同作用。说明Vc和VE混合饲喂能显著增强中华鳖抗酸应激能力,缓解或部分缓解酸应激造成的不利影响。  相似文献

在VE含量为24.1 mg/kg的实用基础饲料中分别添加VE 0(对照组)、25、50、100、200 mg/kg,饲喂平均体重为(614.9±60.5)g的草鱼60d.考察VE对草鱼成鱼生长性能、肌肉品质和抗氧化性能的影响.结果表明,各组草鱼增重率分别为51.6%、53.5%、53.4%、53.5%、54.8%,饲料系数分别为2.28、2.17、2.20、2.19、2.15,饲料中添加25-200 mg/kg VE对草鱼成伍增重率、饲料系数无显著影响(P>0.05);在肌肉品质方面,饲料中添加VE对肌肉水分、粗蛋白、粗脂肪含量无显著影响(P>0.05).肌肉保鲜肉滴水损失和冷冻肉渗出损失随VE添加量的增加而降低;随饲料中VE添加量的增加,肌肉、肝脏中VE含量增加,丙二醛含量则显著降低(P<0.05),其中VE添加量为200 mr,/kg组的肌肉、肝脏VE含量较对照组增加431.0%、353.7%,丙二醛含量则下降67.2%、61.3%(P<0.01);在血清抗氧化能力方面,当VE添加量≥50 mg/kg后,草鱼血清SOD活性显著提高(P<0.05),而血清总抗氧化能力在VE添加量0-100 mg/kg各组间尤显著差异,200 mg/kgVE组的血清总抗氧化能力较对照组显著增高(P<0.05).上述研究表明,饲料中添加VE能促进草鱼生长,改善肌肉品质,增强机体抗氧化能力.以生长性能为标准,草鱼成鱼饲料(基础饲料含VE 24.1 mg/kg)中的VE添加量25 mg/kg;以肌肉品质、抗氧化能力指标为标准,草鱼成鱼饲料中的VE添加量为200 mg/kg.  相似文献

实验以大菱鲆(Scophthalmus maximus)幼鱼[(14.00±0.02)g]为研究对象,采用2×4双因素设计,设2个VE水平(0和75 mg/kg)和4个L-肌肽水平(0、50、100和200 mg/kg),研究VE和L-肌肽对其生长、抗氧化、非特异性免疫及血清生化指标的影响。实验共分8组,每组3个重复,每个重复46尾鱼,实验周期为8周。结果显示:(1)在饲料中添加75 mg/kg VE显著提高了大菱鲆幼鱼增重率(WGR)和特定生长率(SGR)(P < 0.05),L-肌肽添加量≤100 mg/kg对实验鱼生长性能无显著影响(P>0.05),添加量为200 mg/kg时鱼体WGR、SGR和蛋白质效率(PER)显著降低,饲料系数(FCR)显著升高(P < 0.05);(2)VE和L-肌肽对血清谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GSH-PX)、过氧化氢酶(CAT)活性和丙二醛(MDA)含量及肝脏总抗氧化能力(T-AOC)、超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)活性和MDA含量均具有显著的交互作用(P < 0.05),在VE 75 mg/kg水平下,L-肌肽添加量为50和100 mg/kg时血清GSH-PX活性最高,L-肌肽添加量为100和200 mg/kg时血清CAT活性最高且与添加量为50 mg/kg差异不显著(P>0.05),添加100 mg/kg肝脏T-AOC和SOD活性达到最高且50 mg/kg组的SOD与100 mg/kg组差异不显著(P>0.05),主效应结果显示,VE显著提高了血清T-AOC、SOD及肝脏CAT活性(P < 0.05),L-肌肽显著提高了血清T-AOC(P < 0.05);(3)VE和L-肌肽对血清补体C3和LZM活性交互作用显著,在75 mg/kg VE水平下,L-肌肽添加量为50 mg/kg时,补体C3水平最高(P < 0.05),主效应显示,VE和L-肌肽对血清总蛋白(TP)影响均不显著(P>0.05);(4)添加VE显著降低了血清总胆固醇(TCHO)和甘油三酯(TG)含量(P < 0.05),添加L-肌肽显著降低了血清TG含量,且在L-肌肽50 mg/kg时达到最低。综合考虑大菱鲆幼鱼[(14.00-39.43)g]的生长性能、抗氧化性能、非特异性免疫及血清生化指标得出,在实验配方条件下(鱼油70 g/kg,大豆卵磷脂10 g/kg),添加VE 75 mg/kg时,L-肌肽的适宜添加量为50 mg/kg。  相似文献

We studied the effect of dietary vitamin C on growth, liver vitamin C and serum cortisol levels in stressed and unstressed juvenile soft-shelled turtles. Turtles were fed with vitamin C supplementation at dosages of 0, 250, 500, 2500, 5,000 or 10,000 mg/kg diet for 4 weeks. Vitamin C supplementation exerted significant effects on specific growth rate and liver vitamin C concentrations. The specific growth rate peaked in the group fed at 500 mg/kg diet, while liver vitamin C levels increased with increasing dietary vitamin C levels. Serum cortisol concentrations did not differ between groups of turtles fed diets supplemented with vitamin C in the range of 0-10,000 mg/kg. After acid stress, hepatic vitamin C levels were unaffected, while serum cortisol in the control group was significantly elevated (P<0.01). The other five groups of turtles did not show significant changes in serum cortisol compared with pre-stress levels.  相似文献

We determined the effect of dietary supplementation with vitamin E (0-, 50-, 250-, 500-, 1000- and 5000-mg/kg diet for 4 weeks) on antistress ability in juvenile soft-shelled turtle (Pelodiscus sinensis). Half of the turtles per dose group were treated by acid stress for 24 h. The results showed that phagocytosis of blood cells in the control group significantly decreased after acid stress while the other five groups had no significant changes compared with those of before stress. Serum bacteriolytic activity in the control group and the group supplemented with 50-mg vitamin E/kg diet significantly decreased after acid stress. The other four groups showed no significant differences compared with those before stress. Serum bactericidal activities in all groups notably decreased after acid stress, but the difference of serum bactericidal activity in before and after stress had a decreased tendency from the control group to the highest dose group. Serum cortisol levels in the control group were significantly increased while the other five groups had no notable increases after acid stress. Liver vitamin E levels in all groups had no notable changes compared with those before stress but there was a tendency to decrease after acid stress. These results suggest that acid stress depress immune function and increase serum cortisol levels in turtles while vitamin E alleviate the adverse effects caused by acid stress.  相似文献

The study was conducted to determine the effect of supplementation vitamin C in dietary non-specific immunity in juvenile soft-shelled turtles. The soft-shelled turtles were fed with vitamin C supplementation at dosages of 0, 250, 500, 2500, 5000 and 10000 mg/kg diets, respectively, for 4 weeks. The results showed that there were no differences in the phagocytosis of blood cells, serum bacteriolytic activity and bactericidal activity among soft-shelled turtles fed with vitamin C supplementation in 0-500 mg/kg diets. However, firm indicators were significantly enhanced in soft-shelled turtles fed with vitamin C supplementation at 2500 mg/kg diets compared with those fed at 0 and 250 mg/kg diets. The soft-shelled turtles fed with 5000 mg/kg diets had only significantly higher bactericidal activity than those fed vitamin C-deficient diets. The vitamin C supplementation in 10000 mg/kg diets had no notable effects on the phagocytosis, bacteriolytic activity and bactericidal activity. These results suggest that vitamin C seems have an upper and lower threshold for improving non-specific immune function, and the optimum dose was 2500 mg/kg.  相似文献

A feeding trial was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary vitamin E contents on the growth, ascorbate induced iron-catalyzed lipid peroxidation in post-mortem muscle and liver tissue, and Raman spectral changes in lens of juvenile hybrid tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus x O. aureus). Experimental fish were fed practical diets supplemented with 0, 50, 100, 200, 450 and 700 mg alpha-tocopheryl acetate/kg diet for 14 weeks. There was no significant difference in weight gain, feed conversion ratio and protein efficiency ratio among fish fed test diets (P>0.05). Protein content of fish fed diet containing the lowest vitamin E level was the lowest (P<0.05) among all groups. No difference was found in other body constituents among test fish (P>0.05). The thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances produced by iron-catalyzed lipid peroxidation in muscle and liver tissue of fish fed the diet without alpha-tocopheryl acetate supplementation were significantly (P<0.05) greater than those from fish fed diets containing higher levels of alpha-tocopheryl acetate. Dietary vitamin E supplementation increased the antioxidant capability of tilapia tissues against lipid peroxidation. Further, dietary vitamin E supplementation also influenced the lens cortical membrane structure of tilapia.  相似文献

Arsenic (As) exerts oxidative stress with depletion of body selenium in monogastric animals. But in ruminants this fact is not yet verified. Vitamin E is an effective dietary antioxidant. Thus, in this experiment, the protective effect of vitamin E against arsenic toxicity induced by sodium arsenite (60 mg As/kg diet) was investigated in goat kids. For this, 21 male kids were divided into three equal groups and fed either basal diet as such (control), or supplemented with 60 mg As/kg diet and 60 mg As/kg diet + 250 IU vitamin E/kg diet for 180 days. Vitamin E supplementation alleviated the toxic effects caused by arsenic on serum alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase and lipid peroxidation. It also prevented the depletion of reduced glutathione content and reduction in activity of catalase, superoxide dismutase and glutathione-s-transferase in erythrocytes resulted from arsenic intoxication. The elevated levels of arsenic and reduced levels of selenium in the serum and tissues in arsenic treated animals were attenuated by vitamin E supplementation, though not completely. However, serum cortisol level was not affected by arsenic. It was concluded that arsenic exerts cortisol independent stressor mechanism and supplementation of vitamin E at a level of 250 IU/kg diet was partially effective in reducing tissue accumulation of arsenic in the body and protect the kids from oxidative stress induced by arsenic.  相似文献

This study investigated the effect of high‐dose vitamin C supplementation on growth, tissue ascorbic acid concentrations and physiological response to transportation stress in juvenile silver pomfret, Pampus argenteus (initial average weight 6.2 ± 0.2 g). Three practical diets were formulated to contain 100 (control), 450 and 800 mg ascorbic acid/kg diet, respectively, supplied as l‐ascorbyl‐2‐polyphosphate. Each diet was fed to triplicate groups of fish in circular tanks (3 m ø, 1.5 m depth) (60 fish/tank) for 9 weeks. Growth did not change significantly with dietary vitamin C levels, although an improvement tendency with an increase in vitamin C supplementation was observed. Ascorbic acid concentrations in the liver and muscle of fish fed diets containing graded levels of vitamin C were positively correlated with dietary levels of this vitamin. Tissue ascorbic acid concentrations significantly increased with increasing vitamin C supplementation. After 9 weeks, the fish were subjected to transportation stress for 4 h to determine the influence of high vitamin C supplementation on the physiological response to this stressor. Serum cortisol, glucose and lactate levels significantly increased in stressed fish. Serum cortisol and glucose concentrations after stress were significantly higher in fish fed the control diet (7.91 μg L?1 and 0.80 mm , respectively) than in the other groups. However, there were no significant differences in serum cortisol and glucose levels after stress between the 450 and 800 mg kg?1 diets. No significant change could be found in serum lactate levels after stress among the different treatments. In conclusion, the dietary administration of high doses of vitamin C could reduce stress in silver pomfret and increase the survival of fish under stress conditions.  相似文献

This study was conducted to determine the effects of vitamin E and selenium (Se) on lipid peroxidation (MDA), serum and liver concentration of antioxidant vitamins, and some minerals of Japanese quails reared under heat stress (34°C). One hundred twenty 10-d-old Japanese qualis (60 males, 60 females) were randomly assigned to 4 treatment groups, 3 replicates of 10 birds each. The experiment was designed in a 2×2 factorial arrangement using two levels of vitamin E (125 and 250 mg/kg of diet) and two levels of selenium (0.1 and 0.2 mg/kg of diet). Greater dietary vitamin E and selenium inclusions resulted in a greater (p=0.001) serum vitamin E and vitamin A, but lower (p=0.001) MDA concentrations. Liver vitamin E and vitamin A concentrations increased (p=0.001) and MDA concentrations decreased (p=0.001) when both dietary vitamin E and selenium increased. No interactions between vitamin E and selenium were detected (p≥0.11) for any parameters. Increasing both dietary vitamin E and selenium caused an increase in serum concentrations of Fe and Zn (p=0.001), but a decrease in serum concentration of Cu (p=0.001). Results of the present study showed that dietary vitamin E and selenium have synergistic effects and that supplementing a combination of dietary vitamin E (250 mg/kg of diet) and selenium (0.2 mg/kg of diet) offers a good management practice to reduce heat stress-related depression in performance of Japanese quails.  相似文献

A diet containing different amounts of vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol; 0.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg or 50 mg per 100 g diet) was supplemented to BALB/c mice for 6 weeks. These mice were subcutaneously immunized twice with ovalbumin (OVA). A passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA) analysis demonstrated that the mice fed on the diet containing 5 mg of vitamin E produced the highest level of the OVA-specific immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibody. A lower level of serum IgE was found in the mice supplemented with 0.5 mg, 10 mg and 50 mg of vitamin E. A sandwich ELISA analysis showed that the pattern of the total IgE antibody level among these four groups was the same as that of the allergen-specific IgE. In a separate experiment, 5 mg of vitamin E and/or 50 mg of beta-carotene was supplemented to the basal diet containing vitamin E as alpha-tocopherol acetate (5 mg) in order to evaluate the effect of their combination on OVA-specific and total IgE production in the mice. The supplementation with beta-carotene alone had no effect on OVA-specific or total IgE production. In contrast, supplementation with vitamin E plus beta-carotene effectively suppressed both the antigen-specific and total IgE antibodies. The serum vitamin E and beta-carotene levels were increased by supplementation with the respective compounds. These results strongly suggest that the combination of dietary vitamin E and beta-carotene suppressed IgE production and would therefore help to prevent the type-I allergic reaction.  相似文献

This study was conducted to verify whether vitamin (Vit) E or natural clay as feed additives has the potential to modulate the deleterious effects resulting from exposure to cadmium (Cd) in growing Japanese quail. 648 Japanese quail chicks (1 week old) were used to evaluate the effects of dietary Cd (0, 40, 80 and 120 mg/kg diet) and two levels of Vit E (0, 250 mg/kg diet) or two levels of natural clay (0 and 100 mg/kg diet) to study the influences of Cd, Vit E, clay or their different combinations on growth performance, carcass traits, some blood biochemical components and Cd residues in muscles and liver. Live BW and weight gain of quails were linearly decreased with increasing dietary Cd levels. Moreover, feed conversion was significantly worsened with increasing Cd level. Mortality percentage was linearly increased as dietary Cd level increased up to 120 mg/kg diet. Carcass percentage was linearly decreased as dietary Cd level increased. While, giblets percentage were linearly and quadratically differed as dietary Cd level increased. Cd caused significant changes in total plasma protein, albumin, globulin, A/G ratio, creatinine, urea-N and uric acid concentrations as well as ALT, AST and ALP activities. Increasing dietary Cd level was associated with its increase in the muscles and liver. Dietary supplementation with 250 mg of Vit E/kg diet or 100 mg clay/kg improved live BW, BW gain and feed conversion when compared with the un-supplemented diet. Quails fed diet contained 250 mg Vit E/kg and those fed 100 mg clay/kg had the highest percentages of carcass and dressing than those fed the un-supplemented diet. Blood plasma biochemical components studied were better when birds received 250 mg of Vit E/kg diet and those received 100 mg clay/kg. Cd residues in the muscles and liver were significantly less in the birds had 250 mg of Vit E/kg or those received 100 mg clay/kg diet than those un-supplemented with Vit E. Growth performance traits and blood plasma biochemical components studied were significantly affected linearly by the interactions among Cd and each of Vit E and clay levels. In conclusion, the present results indicate that the deleterious effects induced by Cd plays a role in decreasing the performance of Japanese quail and that dietary supplementation with natural clay or Vit E may be useful in partly alleviating the adverse effects of Cd.  相似文献
