Combined pH-metric, UV-Vis, 1H NMR and EPR spectral investigations on the complex formation of M(II) ions (M=Co, Ni, Cu and Zn) with N-(2-benzimidazolyl)methyliminodiacetic acid (H2bzimida, hereafter H2L) in aqueous solution at a fixed ionic strength, I=10−1 mol dm−3, at 25 ± 1 °C indicate the formation of M(L), M(H−1L) and M2(H−1L)+ complexes. Proton-ligand and metal-ligand constants and the complex formation equilibria have been elucidated. Solid complexes, [M(L)(H2O)2] · nH2O (n=1 for M = Co and Zn, n=2 for M = Ni) and {Cu (μ-L) · 4H2O}n, have been isolated and characterized by elemental analysis, spectral, conductance and magnetic measurements and thermal studies. Structures of [Ni(L)(H2O)2] · 2H2O and {Cu(μ-L) · 4H2O}n have been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The nickel(II) complex exists in a distorted octahedral environment in which the metal ion is coordinated by the two carboxylate O atoms, the amino-N atom of the iminodiacetate moiety and the pyridine type N-atom of the benzimidazole moiety. Two aqua O atoms function as fifth and sixth donor atoms. The copper(II) complex is made up of interpenetrating polymeric chains of antiferromagnetically coupled Cu(II) ions linked by carboxylato bridges in syn-anti (apical-equatorial) bonding mode and stabilized via interchain hydrogen bonds and π-π stacking interactions.  相似文献

New heterodinuclear ZnII/NiII (1) and homodinuclear NiII/NiII (2) water-soluble and air stable compounds of general formula [M(H2O)6][M′(dipic)2] · mH2O have been easily prepared by self-assembly of the corresponding metal(II) nitrates with dipicolinic acid (H2dipic) in water solution at room temperature.  The compounds have been characterized by IR, UV/Vis and atomic absorption spectroscopies, elemental and X-ray single crystal diffraction (for 1 · 4H2O and 2 · 5H2O) analyses.  3D infinite polymeric networks are formed via extensive hydrogen bonding interactions involving all coordinated and crystallization water molecules, and all dipicolinate oxygens, thus contributing to additional stabilization of dimeric units, metal-organic chains and 2D layers.  In 1 · 4H2O, the latter represent a rectangular-grid 2D framework with multiple channels if viewed along the c crystallographic axis, while in 2 · 5H2O intercalated crystallization water molecules are associated to form acyclic nonplanar hexameric water clusters and water dimers which occupy voids in the host metal-organic matrix, with a structure stabilizing effect via host-guest interactions.  The hexameric cluster extends to the larger (H2O)10 one with an unusual geometry (acyclic helical octamer with two pendent water molecules) by taking into account the hydrogen bonds to water ligands in [Ni(H2O)6]2+.  The obtained Zn/Ni compound 1 relates to the recently reported family of heterodimetallic complexes [M(H2O)5M′(dipic)2] · mH2O (M/M′ = Cu/Co, Cu/Ni, Cu/Zn, Zn/Co, Ni/Co, m = 2, 3), what now allows to establish the orders of the metal affinity towards the formation of chelates with dipicolinic acid (CoII > NiII > ZnII > CuII) or aqua species (CoII < NiII < ZnII < CuII).  相似文献

Mixed ligand complexes: [Co(L)(bipy)] · 3H2O (1), [Ni(L)(phen)] · H2O (2), [Cu(L)(phen)] · 3H2O (3) and [Zn(L)(bipy)] · 3H2O (4), where L2− = two -COOH deprotonated dianion of N-(2-benzimidazolyl)methyliminodiacetic acid (H2bzimida, hereafter, H2L), bipy = 2,2′ bipyridine and phen = 1,10-phenanthroline have been isolated and characterized by elemental analysis, spectral and magnetic measurements and thermal studies. Single crystal X-ray diffraction studies show octahedral geometry for 1, 2 and 4 and square pyramidal geometry for 3. Equilibrium studies in aqueous solution (ionic strength I = 10−1 mol dm−3 (NaNO3), at 25 ± 1 °C) using different molar proportions of M(II):H2L:B, where M = Co, Ni, Cu and Zn and B = phen, bipy and en (ethylene diamine), however, provides evidence of formation of mononuclear and binuclear binary and mixed ligand complexes: M(L), M(H−1L), M(B)2+, M(L)(B), M(H−1L)(B), M2(H−1L)(OH), (B)M(H−1L)M(B)+, where H−1L3− represents two -COOH and the benzimidazole N1-H deprotonated quadridentate (O, N, O, N), or, quinquedentate (O, N, O, N, N) function of the coordinated ligand H2L. Binuclear mixed ligand complex formation equilibria: M(L)(B) + M(B)2+ ? (B)M(H−1L)M(B)+ + H+ is favoured with higher π-acidity of the B ligands. For Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II), these equilibria are accompanied by blue shift of the electronic absorption maxima of M(II) ions, as a negatively charged bridging benzimidazolate moiety provides stronger ligand field than a neutral one. Solution stability of the mixed ligand complexes are in the expected order: Co(II) < Ni(II) < Cu(II) > Zn(II). The Δ log KM values are less negetive than their statistical values, indicating favoured formation of the mixed ligand complexes over the binary ones.  相似文献

The synthesis and X-ray crystal structures of u-fac-[Ni(dien)2](NO3)2, s-fac-[Ni(dien)2](tos)2, fac-fac-[(H2O)(dien)Ni(μ-Cl)2(dien)(H2O)]Cl2, s-fac-[Ni(dien)2][ZnCl4], mer-[Ni(dien)2][CdCl4] · H2O, fac-[Ni(dien)(H2O)3](tos)2 · (H2O), mer-[Cu(dien)(H2O)](tos)2, fac-[Zn(dien)(H2O)2](tos)2 (dien = bis(2-aminoethyl)amine = diethylenetriamine; tos = p-toluenesulfonate) are described. Procedures for determining the optimal pre-freezing protocol for cryo-preservation of microalgae are discussed. Three algal species were used (Chlorella vulgaris, Isochrysis galbana and Dunaliella salina) and cryo-stored using two different methods: the slow cooling and the fast freezing. In the slow cooling, each algae batch was treated with or without cryo-protectant (dimethyl sulfoxide: Me2SO 5% v/v). After 20 min at 4 °C, the midi-straws were filled and cooled slowly (1.5 °C min−1) to −140 °C, by a programmable freezer (Digitcool—IMV), before putting them directly into liquid nitrogen. Fast freezing was performed with 10% or 15% Me2SO prior to plunging into liquid nitrogen. The three algal species followed the same re-growth pattern as that of the controls. The post-thawed viability with Me2SO was good for all the selected algae (C. vulgaris >95%, I. galbana and D. salina >70% of the control), applying the slow cooling. The post-thawed viability without Me2SO was 60% for I. galbana, 52% for D. salina and 33% for C. vulgaris. Fast freezing was not suitable for cryo-storage of I. galbana but gave good post-thawing viability for D. salina (70%). The decrease in fatty acid content of the cryo-stored algae was influenced by the temperature. The rapid decrease in temperature induced by fast freezing can explain the low level of fatty acid content of the three cryo-stored algae. Fatty acid profiles show that the nutritional values of the three cryo-stored micro-algae were not significantly affected especially when treated with slow cooling protocols.  相似文献

The synthesis and crystal structure of four new copper(I) and copper(II) supramolecular amine, and amine phosphonate, complexes is reported. Reaction of copper(I) with 2-,9-dimethyl-1-10-phenanthroline (dmp) produced a stable 4-coordinate Cu(I) species, [Cu(I)(dmp)2]Cl · MeOH · 5H2O (2), i.e., the increased steric hindrance in the ‘bite’ area of dmp did not prevent interaction with the metal and provided protection against oxidation which was not possible for the phen analogue [R. Clarke, K. Latham, C. Rix, M. Hobday, J. White, CrystEngCommun. 7(3) (2005), 28-36]. Subsequent addition of phenylphosphonic acid to (2) produced two structures from alternative synthetic routes. An ‘in situ’ process yielded red block Cu(I) crystals, [Cu(I)(dmp)2] · [C6H5PO3H2 · C6H5PO3H] (4), whilst recrystallisation of (2) prior to addition of the acid (‘stepwise’ process) produced a green, needle-like Cu(II) complex, [Cu(II)(dmp) · (H2O)2 · C6H5PO2(OH)] [C6H5PO2(OH)] (3). However, addition of excess dmp during the ‘stepwise’ process forced the equilibrium towards product (4) and resulted in an optimum yield (99%). The structure of (4) was similar to the phen analogue, [Cu(II)Cl(phen)2] · [C6H5PO2(OH) · C6H5PO(OH)2] (1) [R. Clarke, K. Latham, C. Rix, M. Hobday, J. White, CrystEngCommun. 7(3) (2005), 28-36], but the presence of dmp exerted some influence on global packing, whilst (3) exists as a polymeric layered material. In contrast, reaction of copper(I) with di-2-pyridyl ketone (dpk), followed by phenylphosphonic acid produced purple/blue Cu(II) species, [Cu(II)(dpk · H2O)2] Cl2 · 4H2O (5), and [Cu(II)(dpk · H2O)2] · [C6H5PO2(OH)2 · C6H5PO(OH)2] (6), respectively, i.e., in both cases oxidation of copper occurred. Solid-state luminescence was observed in (2) and (4). The latter showing a 5-fold enhancement in intensity.  相似文献

In this report, chiral dirhodium (II) with ortho-metalated phosphane ligands, namely (M)-Rh2(O2CR) 2(PC)2 [PC = ortho-metalated aryl phosphane, O2CR = carboxylate bridging ligands) (1a-g), have been used for the intramolecular cyclopropanation of racemic1-diazo-6-methyl-3-(2-propenyl)-5-hepten-2-one (2), containing both a tri- and monosubstituted carbon-carbon double bond, in pentane. The highest level of regiocontrol has been obtained with chiral catalyst Rh2(O2CCH3)2[(p-MeC6H3)P(p-MeC6H4)2]2 (M)-1c, affording favorably trisubstituted cyclopropane 3 versus monosubstituted cyclopropane 4 in 74:26 ratio. An exceptional diastereoselectivity was obtained with the entire catalyst series, leading to the unique formation of the syn products. Excellent enantiocontrol values (80-90% ee) have been achieved with catalysts 1a [(PC = (C6H3)P(C6H4)2, R = C(CH3)3)], 1c [PC = p-MeC6H3)P(p-MeC6H4)2, R = CH3], 1f [PC = m-CH3C6H3)P(m-CH3C6H4)2, R = CF3] and 1g [PC = 3,5-(CH3)2C6H3)P(3,5-(CH3)2C6H4)2, R = CF3] at room temperature. Pentane is found to be a convenient solvent for high enantiocontrol in the cyclopropanation of α-diazo ketone 2.  相似文献

Entomophthoralean fungus Pandora nouryi is an obligate aphid pathogen that enables to produce resting spores (azygospores) for surviving host absence. To explore possible mechanisms involved in the regulation of resting spore formation in vivo, host cohorts consisting of 40-60 nymphs of green peach aphid Myzus persicae produced within 24 h on cabbage leaf discs in petri dishes were exposed to spore showers of P. nouryi at the concentrations (C) from a very few to nearly 2000 conidia/mm2 and then reared for 7-11 days at the regimes of 10-25 °C (T) and 8-16 h daylight (HL) or ambient (17.5 ± 3.1 °C, 13:11 L:D). Aphid mortalities observed from 35-83 cohorts (showered separately) at each regime showed typical sigmoid trend and fit well a general logistic equation (0.79 ? r2 ? 0.88), yielding similar LC50 estimates of 1.7-6.1 conidia/mm2. The proportions (P) of cadavers forming resting spores in the cohorts also fit the same equation (0.73 ? r2 ? 0.85) at all tested regimes except at 10 °C, a low temperature for the host-pathogen interaction. This indicates the dependence of resting spore formation on the spore concentration. The effects of T and HL on P over C were well elucidated by the fitted modified logistic equations = 0.578/{1 + exp[1.710 − (0.136 − 0.0053T)C]} and = 0.534/{1 + exp[1.639 + (0.034 − 0.0053HL)C]} (both r2 = 0.79). Our results highlight that the resting spore formation in vivo of P. nouryi is regulated primarily by the concentration of host-infecting conidia discharged from cadavers and facilitated by lower temperature and longer daylight.  相似文献

Five novel complexes, Co(OBt)2 · 7H2O (1) (OBt = 1-hydroxybenzotriazole ion), Ni3(OBt)6 · 6H2O (2), [Ag(OBt)(HOBt)]n (3), [Zn(OBt)2]n (4) and [Cu2(OBt)4 · 3H2O]n (5) were synthesized by hydrothermal method and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, TGA, XRPD, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The results from single-crystal X-ray diffraction indicate that 1-5 are zero-dimensional (0D), zero-dimensional, one-dimensional (1D), and three-dimensional (3D) frameworks, respectively. In particular, 3 is twin crystal; 4 possesses of double-stranded chains; 5 crystallizes in orthorhombic space group P212121 with a helical chain in its structure. The luminescence properties and the magnetic properties of the five complexes were investigated.  相似文献

Novel calix[4]pyrrole bearing vic-dioxime ligand (LH2) of the general formula, R1R2C2N2O2H2 (where, R1 = C6H5- and R2 = C39H50N5-) has been synthesized by the reaction of anti-chlorophenylglyoxime with 3-aminophenylcalix[4]pyrrole at room temperature. The mononuclear Cu(II), Ni(II) and Co(II)complexes of this vic-dioxime ligand were prepared and their structures were confirmed by elemental analysis, FT-IR, TGA and magnetic susceptibility measurements; the HMBC, DEPT, 1H and 13C NMR spectra of the LH2 ligand were also reported. The electrochemical property of the complexes was investigated in DMSO by cyclic voltammetry at 200 mV s−1 scan rate. The cyclic voltammetric measurements clearly indicated that Co(LH)2·2H2O complex differs from the Ni(LH)2 and Cu(LH)2 complexes upon the exhibition of quasi-reversible one-electron transfer reduction process in the negative region instead of an irreversible process.  相似文献

Two mixed ligand complexes trans-[Ni(NCS)4(PpzH)2] (1) and trans-[Ni(NCO)2(Imd)4] (2) (where Ppz = piperazine; Imd = imidazole) were synthesized from one-pot reactions, and their crystal and molecular structures were determined. The reaction of NiCl2·4H2O with piperazine and KSCN in a 1:2:4 mole ratio in aqueous MeOH at room temperature under stirring condition affords 1. Whereas the reaction of NiCl2·6H2O with imidazole and NaOCN in a 1:4:2 mole ratio in aqueous MeOH at room temperature under stirring condition yields 2 quantitatively. The nickel ions are hexacoordinated by six nitrogen donor atoms of two different origin, thiocyanate and piperazinium ions in case of 1 and cyanate ion and neutral imidazole in case of 2, to form tetragonally elongated and quite regular octahedral arrangements. In 1, the average Ni-Nppz distance is 2.198 Å is longer than the average Ni-Nthc distance at 2.070 Å, whereas, in case of 2, the average Ni-Nimd distance at 2.112 Å and is close to the average Ni-Ncyt distance at 2.107 Å. The reactions in other varying stoichiometries failed to provide the hitherto unknown complexes [Ni(NCS)2(Ppz)4] and [Ni(NCO)4(ImdH)2] confirming the ease of protonation on non-bonding of piperazine is more compared to that of imidazole.  相似文献

A mutant plant (Arabidopsis thaliana), sex1-1 (starch excess 1-1), accumulating high starch content in leaves was created to serve as better biomass feedstock for a H2-producing strain Clostridium butyricum CGS2, which efficiently utilizes starch for H2 production but cannot assimilate cellulosic materials. The starch content of the mutant plant increased to 10.67 mg/fresh weight, which is four times higher than that of wild type plant. Using sex1-1 mutant plant as feedstock, C. butyricum CGS2 could produce 490.4 ml/l of H2 with a H2 production rate of 32.9 ml/h/l. The H2 production performance appeared to increase with the increase in the concentration of mutant plant from 2.5 to 10 g/l. The highest H2 to plant biomass yield was nearly 49 ml/g for the mutant plant. This study successfully demonstrated the feasibility of using a starch-rich mutant plant for more effective bioH2 production with C. butyricum CGS2.  相似文献

This contribution focuses on one-step hydrogenation-esterification (OHE) of furfural and acetic acid, which are difficult to treat and typically present in crude bio-oil, as a model reaction for bio-oil upgrading. A bifunctional catalyst is needed for OHE reaction. Among tested bifunctional catalysts, the 5%Pd/Al2(SiO3)3 shows the best catalytic performance. Compared to the physical mixture of 5%Pd/C + Al2(SiO3)3, there is a synergistic effect between metal sites and acid sites over 5%Pd/Al2(SiO3)3 for the OHE reaction. A moderate reaction condition would be required to obtain high yields of alcohol and ester along with lower byproduct yields. In this work, the optimum selectivity to desired products (alcohol and ester) of 66.4% is obtained, where the conversion of furfural is 56.9%. Other components, typically present in bio-oils, have little effects on the OHE of FAL and HAc. This OHE method is a promising route for efficient upgrading of bio-oil.  相似文献

Reaction of Ni(NO3)2 · 6H2O and sodium dicyanamide (Nadca) yields a 1D infinite chain complex {[Ni(dien)(μ1,5-dca)(H2O)](NO3)}n (1) (where dien = diethylenetriamine). The coordination environment in complex 1 around the nickel(II) ions is distorted octahedron. Three nitrogen atoms of the ligand diethylenetriamine and an oxygen atom of H2O molecule constitute the four coordination sites of the basal plane of the octahedron. Of two axial positions of the octahedron, one position is occupied by the nitrogen atom of a μ1,5-dca anion the remaining coordination site is occupied by a nitrogen atom of another end-to-end bridging dca from an adjacent [Ni(dien)(μ1,5-dca)(H2O)] moiety, yielding 1D infinite chains which propagate parallel to crystallographic a-axis. No measurable magnetic interaction was evidenced through variable temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements (4-300 K). However, the magnetic susceptibility of the compound can be explained in terms of single-ion anisotropic model with zero-field splitting for nickel(II) ions.  相似文献

The pine moth Dendrolimus pini effectively resists many insecticides, but it can be controlled by the use of bioinsecticides such as entomopathogenic fungi. In the use of microbial agents for the biocontrol of D. pini, it is important to identify the cuticular lipids of this pest if we are to understand the factors responsible for the preferential adhesion or selective repulsion of entomopathogenic fungi that are potentially useful in biocontrol. In this work the qualitative and quantitative analyses of free fatty acids in two exuviae extracts (petroleum ether and dichloromethane) and two developmental stages (larval-larval and larval-pupal molts) were studied. The free fatty acid composition of the epicuticular lipids from exuviae of D. pini was characterized chemically using gas chromatography (GC) and gas chromatography-electron impact mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Structural analyses of the dichloromethane extracts from larval-larval exuviae (LLE) and larval-pupal exuviae (LPE) revealed that the carbon numbers for the major acid moieties ranged from C8:0 to C34:0. Only C23:0 was not identified in the LPE extract. The relative contents of fatty acids in the extracts varied from trace amounts to 34%. The fatty acids extracted by dichloromethane were essentially the same as those in the petroleum ether extract. We also identified dehydroabietic acid in the exuviae of D. pini. The respective quantities of dehydroabietic acid obtained from D. pini LLE and LPE were 1763 ± 103 μg/g exuviae and 11521 ± 1198 μg/g of exuviae.  相似文献

Although the 2,2′-biphenyldicarboxylate ligand (2,2′-dpa) has been widely used to construct metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with helical sub-structure, the effect of the helical arrangement of spin carriers on the magnetic properties remains rarely scarce. In this article, two unique magnetic metal-organic supramolecular frameworks with different structural features, [Cu2(dpa)2(H2O)2(4,4′-dpdo)0.5]n (1) and [Ni(H2O)4(dpa)] · (4,4′-dpdo)(H2O) (2) (dpdo = 4,4′-dipyridine-N,N′-dioxide), have been isolated from the direct reaction of H2dpa with their corresponding salts in the presence of dpdo. In complex 1, the Cu-dpa double-helical chains, which are bridged by long flexible μ2-dpdo ligands to give rise to a regular 63 covalent layer, exhibit strong antiferromagnetic coupling interactions. Whereas the 1D [Ni(dpa)]n helical chains in complex 2 exhibit weak antiferromagnetic coupling interactions. Rich hydrogen bonds between perpendicular 1D [Ni(dpa)]n helical chains and quasi-1D (dpdo)n chains result in an intricate 3D supramolecular network.  相似文献

Aegiceras corniculatum is a cryptoviviparous mangrove tree distributed in the Indo-West Pacific. The genetic structure of 13 populations of A. corniculatum from South China, Malay Peninsula, Sri Lanka, and North Australia, was assessed by amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) markers. Our results showed a relatively high level of genetic variation at the species level (P = 92%, HE = 0.294 and Hs = 0.331 ± 0.001). The value of GST was 0.698, suggesting significant genetic differentiation among populations. At the population level, however, genetic diversity was low (P = 24%, HE = 0.086 and Hs = 0.127 ± 0.001). When populations were grouped according to geographic regions, i.e., South China, Malay Peninsula and Sri Lanka, it was inferred from analysis of molecular variance (AMOVA) that about half the total variation (49%) was accounted for differentiation between regions. A UPGMA dendrogram based on genetic distance also revealed five major clades corresponding to geographical regions within the distribution of A. corniculatum, although the precise relationships among the clades were not fully concordant with expected geographical delineations and need further study.  相似文献

Synthesis and crystal structure of two coordination polymers of composition [MnII(H2bpbn)1.5][ClO4]2 · 2MeOH · 2H2O (1) and [CoII(H2bpbn)(H2O)2]Cl2 · H2O (2) [H2bpbn = N,N′-bis(2-pyridinecarboxamido)-1,4-butane], formed from the reaction between [Mn(H2O)6][ClO4]2/CoCl2 · 4H2O with H2bpbn in MeCN, are described. In 1 each MnII ion is surrounded by three pyridine amide units, providing three pyridine nitrogen and three amide oxygen donors. Each MnII center in 1 has distorted MnN3O3 coordination. In 2 each CoII ion is coordinated by two pyridine amide moieties in the equatorial plane and two water molecules provide coordination in the axial positions. Thus, the metal center in 2 has trans-octahedral geometry. In both 1 and 2, the existence of 1D zigzag network structure has been revealed. Owing to π-π stacking of pyridine rings from adjacent layers 1 forms 2D network; 2 forms 2D and 3D network assemblies via N-H?Cl and O-H?Cl secondary interactions. The dinickel(II) compound [Ni2(μ-OAc)2(OAc)2(μ-H2O)(asy·dmen)2]·2.5H2O, 1; undergoes facile reaction in a 1:2 molar ratio with benzohydroxamic acid (BHA) in ethanol to give the novel nickel(II) tetranuclear hydroxamate complex [Ni4(μ-OAc)3(μ-BA)3(asy·dmen)3][OTf]2·H2O, 2, in which the bridging acetates, bridging two nickel atoms in 1, undergo a carboxylate shift from the μ211 bridging mode of binding to the μ312 bridging three nickel atoms in the tetramer. The structure of complex 2 was determined by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. The two monodentate acetates, water and two bidentate bridging acetates of two moles of complex 1 are replaced by three monodentate bridging acetates and three benzohydroxamates. Three nickel atoms in the tetramer, Ni(2), Ni(3) and Ni(4) are in a N2O4 octahedral environment, while the fourth nickel atom Ni(1) is in an O(6) octahedral environment. The Ni-Ni separations are Ni(1)-Ni(2) = 3.108 Å, Ni(1)-Ni(3) = 3.104 Å and Ni(1)-Ni(4) = 3.110 Å, which are longer than previously studied in dinuclear urease inhibited models but shorter than in the nickel(II) tetrameric glutarohydroxamate complex [Ni4(μ-OAc)2(μ-gluA2)2(tmen)4][OTf]2, isolated and characterized previously in this laboratory. Magnetic studies of the tetrameric complex show that the four Ni(II) ions are ferromagnetically coupled, leading to a total ground spin state ST = 4. Three analogous tetranuclear nickel hydroxamates were prepared from AHA and BHA and the appropriate dinuclear complex with either sy·dmen or asy·dmen as capping ligands.  相似文献

Mononuclear metal complexes of 2-[(2-hydroxyethylimino)methyl]quinolin-8-ol (H2L) were obtained by reaction of 8-hydroxyquinoline-2-carboxaldehyde, 2-aminoethanol and the corresponding metal(II) acetate (M = Co, Ni, Cu, Zn or Cd) in 2:2:1 molar ratios. The Schiff base ligand is acting as a monodeprotonated O,N,N-donor in the helical complex Ni(HL)2, which could be crystallographically characterised. This crystal structure contains homochiral chains of Ni(HL)2 connected through double O-H?O connections, which relate both non-coordinated hydroxy groups of the ethanolic arms with both phenolic O atoms of a neighbouring complex, in a “head-to-tail” disposition. A study of the luminescence properties in methanol solution showed that the quantum yields of Zn(HL)2·H2O (ΦF = 0.02) and Cd(HL)2·H2O (ΦF = 0.04) are lower than that of 8-hydroxyquinoline-2-carboxaldehyde (ΦF = 0.06).  相似文献
