海南变色树蜥个体发育中形态和食性的变化   总被引:11,自引:1,他引:10  
研究变色树蜥(Calotes versicolor)头,尾大小和食性在个体发育过程中的变化,以及头,尾大小两性异性的个体发生,成体体长(SVL)无显著的两性差异,两性异形主要表现为雄性个体有较大的头部(头长和头宽)和尾部。头,尾大小的两性异形在初生幼体就已存在,并随个体发育的进行变得更加显著。不同年龄组两性个体头长以及雌体头宽随SVL呈同速增长;雄性头宽随SVL呈异速增长,表现为雄性头宽的增长速率在个体发育过程中逐渐增大。头,尾部的相对大小在个体发育过程中有显著的变化,初生幼体头部相对较大,尾部相对较小,这种形态特征是胚胎优先保证生态学意义更为显著的部分(如头部)生长的结果,有利于初生幼体的早期生存和生长,不同性别和年龄组的变色树蜥摄入食物的种类及各种食物在摄入食物中所的比例有一定程度的差别,因而食物生态位宽度和重叠度有一定程度的差别,然而没有直接的证据表明头部大小的两性异形能导致两性食物生态位的明显分离。  相似文献

研究奇台沙蜥Phrynocephalus grumgrzimailoi头、尾、腋胯距大小在个体发育过程中的变化.成体体长(SVL)无显著的两性差异,两性异形主要表现为雄性个体有较大的头部(头长和头宽)和尾部,雌性具有较大的腋胯距.头、尾、腋胯距大小的两性异形在幼体就已存在,并随个体发育的进行变得更加显著.不同年龄组两性个体头部、尾部、腋胯距随SVL呈异速增长,表现为两性头部的增长速率在个体发育过程中逐渐增大,尾部的增长速率逐渐减慢,腋胯距在雌性蜥蜴中增长速率逐渐增大,在雄性中逐渐变小.  相似文献

研究了山地麻蜥(Eremias brenchleyi)个体发育过程中头部两性异形和食性的变化.成体个体大小(SVL)无显著的两性差异,但雄体具有较大的头部(头长和头宽).头部两性异形在孵出幼体就已存在,成体头部两性异形比幼体(包括孵出幼体)更为显著,雄性较大的头部与其头部随SVL的增长速率大于雌性有关.两性头部总体上随SVL呈异速增长,表现为个体发育过程中头长和头宽与SVL的线性回归方程斜率有显著的变化.孵出幼体有相对较大的头部,这种形态特征是胚胎优先保证生态学意义更为显著的头部生长的结果,有利于孵出幼体的早期生存和生长.相对头部大小在个体发育过程中有显著的变化.不同性别和大小的山地麻蜥摄入食物的种类及各种食物在摄入食物中所占的比例有一定程度的差别,食物生态位宽度和重叠度因此有一定的差别.然而,没有直接的证据表明头部两性异形能导致两性食物生态位的明显分离,并有利于减缓两性个体对食物资源的竞争。  相似文献

通过测量头、尾、体和胃检,研究肇庆南草蜥Takydromus sexlineatus个体发育过程中两性异形和食性差异。南草蜥成体个体两性大小无显著差异,雄性头部显著大于雌性,两性头部大小异形可能是受到性选择压力的结果。雌雄个体食物生态位重叠度较高,两性生态位差异微弱,食性差异与两性头部异形无明显相关性。通过设计13种不同的环境温度,研究体温变化对南草蜥两性个体运动能力表现的影响。结果显示环境温度通过影响体温而影响南草蜥的运动表现,两性个体疾跑速均具有在低体温范围内随体温升高而加快、在高体温范围内随体温升高而降低的模式。在多数测试温度下,雄体的疾跑速均略大于雌体,但两者平均值在统计上无显著差异。体温对南草蜥的最大持续运动距离和停顿次数的影响显著,两性个体的疾跑速和最大持续运动距离呈显著正相关。雄性和雌性分别在26℃和30℃具有最佳的运动表现。  相似文献

报道蓝尾石龙子(Eumeces elegans)的生长、两性异形和雌性繁殖,性成熟个体体色的两性差异显著,成年雄性体长、头长和头宽显著大于成年雌性,幼体体长生长率无显著的两性差异。成年雄体体长生长率显著大于成年雌体,因此,个体大小的两性异形是性成熟后发生的,体长小于50mm的幼体,头长和头宽无性差异;当体长大于50mm。雄性头长和头宽随体长的生长率显著大于雌性。并导致头部大小的两性异形,并随个体发育变得越来越显著,蓝尾石龙子产卵雌体的最小体长为69.3mm,大于此体长的雌体均年产单窝卵。窝卵数、窝卵重和平均卵重均与雌体体长呈正相关,平均值分别为6.4、2.783和0.554g。窝卵数与雌体产后状态无关,蓝尾石龙子雌体主要通过增加窝卵数和卵大小来增加繁殖输出。  相似文献

通过测量头、体大小和胃检研究浙江泰顺产蓝尾石龙子 (Eumeceselegans)个体发育过程中两性异形和食性的变化。蓝尾石龙子成体个体大小和头部大小的两性差异显著 ,雄性大于雌性。不同发育阶段雌性头长与SVL的线性回归斜率无显著差异 ,头宽与SVL线性回归斜率的差异显著 ,成体和SVL <5 0mm幼体头宽随SVL的增长速率显著小于SVL为 5 0 - 6 9mm的幼体。雄性头部相对于SVL呈加速式异速生长。两性比较发现 :雌雄幼体头长和头宽随SVL的增长速率无显著差异 ,SVL <5 0mm幼体特定SVL的头长和头宽无显著的两性差异 ,但SVL为 5 0 - 6 9mm的雄性幼体头长和头宽大于SVL相同的雌性幼体 ;雄性成体头长和头宽随SVL的增长速率显著大于雌性。SVL <5 0mm的雌性幼体头部相对小于SVL为 5 0 - 6 9mm的同性幼体 ,性成熟雌体头部相对小于SVL为 5 0 - 6 9mm的同性幼体。雌性幼体、雄性幼体、雌性成体和雄性成体食物生态位宽度分别为 12 3、 12 5、 4 8和 14 4。雌雄幼体食物生态位重叠度最高 ,雌雄成体食物生态位重叠度次之 ,成体与幼体食物生态位重叠度较小。成体摄入食饵的大小 (用胃内完整食物长度的平均值表示 )和变化范围大于幼体。两性成、幼体摄入的食饵大小差异显著。两性个体摄入的食饵大小均与其SVL呈正相关 ,表明较大  相似文献

动脉平滑肌细胞(SMC)的增殖在动脉粥样硬化(AS)的形成过程中极其重要。我们在建立人主动脉SMC体外培养方法的基础上,观察了LDL,VLDL及HDL和相应的氧化修饰型脂蛋白对培养人SMCsis,jun,H-ras原癌基因及Rb抗癌基因转录表达的影响。结果表明:(1)HDL对SMCsis,jun,ras基因表达无影响;(2)LDL和VLDL有使这些基因表达增加的趋势;(3)ox-LDL,ox-VLDL和ox-HDL具有使SMCsis,jun,和ras基因表达显著增强的作用(P<0.01),且其作用较相应的天然脂蛋白大(P<0.01);(4)天然和氧化修饰型脂蛋白对Rb基因表达均无影响。据上述结果推测:LDL,VLDL,ox-LDL,ox-VLDL和ox-HDL的致AS作用可能与刺激SMCsis,jun和ras原癌基因表达增加有关。  相似文献

通过测量和比较采自甘肃省兰州市、张掖市和民勤县3个地区的密点麻蜥Eremias multiocellata成体样本的8个形态学量度指标,分析密点麻蜥雌雄间的两性差异和异速生长。结果表明,密点麻蜥兰州种群和张掖种群体长的两性差异无统计学意义,民勤种群雄性体长显著大于雌性。3个种群的头部大小、附肢长、尾部及最大腹宽在两性间均存在差异,具有两性异形现象。雄性个体头部较大、附肢和尾部较长;而最大腹宽在不同种群中有所不同,兰州种群和张掖种群雄性的最大腹宽显著小于雌性,民勤种群雄性则显著大于雌性。在个体发育过程中,前肢长、后肢长、头长、头宽、头高、尾长及最大腹宽均出现了不同程度的异速生长。  相似文献

用数显游标卡尺测量了407只2001—2003年9月下旬至10月上旬浙江丽水罚没的死亡虎纹蛙的体长等10个形态指标,结果表明:雌性成体体长(SUL)大于雄性成体,幼体形态无显著两性差异;ANCOVA去除SUL差异的影响后,雌性成体的头长和后肢长大于雄性成体,前肢长、眼径和耳径则小于雄性成体。前肢两侧对称性的偏移度成体大于幼体,雌性大于雄性;后肢两侧对称性成幼体和两性无显著差异。10个形态指标主成分分析的前三个主成分共解释64·6%的变异:第一主成分中头宽、眼径和耳径,第二主成分中后肢长,第三主成分中眼间距和鼻间距分别有较高的正负载系数。用NikonSMZ-1000解剖镜鉴别277只个体胃内容物中的食物种类,发现其秋季食物以节肢动物为主;成幼体和两性食物生态位宽度为3·42~5·25,食物生态位重叠度较高为0·93~0·98。分析表明,虎纹蛙局部形态特征的两性差异微弱,而体长两性异形差异显著;雌体具有较大的体形与食性无关,而可能与生育力选择的作用有关。  相似文献

A functional relationship between relative brain size and cognitive performance has been hypothesized. However, the influence of ontogenetic niche shifts on cognitive performance is not well understood. Increases in body size can affect niche use but distinguishing nonecologically relevant brain development from effects associated with ecology is difficult. If survival is enhanced by functional changes in ecocognitive performance over ontogeny, then brain size development should track ontogenetic shifts in ecology. We control for nonecologically relevant brain size development by comparing brain growth between two ecotypes of Pumpkinseed sunfish whose ecologies diverge over ontogeny from a shared juvenile niche. Brain size differs between ecotypes from their birth year onwards even though their foraging ecology appears to diverge at age 3. This finding suggests that the eco‐cognitive requirements of adult niches shape early life brain growth more than the requirements of juvenile ecology.  相似文献

Sexual size dimorphism (SSD) is a general phenomenon in lizards, and can evolve through sexual selection or natural selection. But natural selection, which was thought to operate mainly through reducing the competition be- tween the two sexes (niche divergence hypothesis), gave rise to a lot of controversy. We tested the niche divergence hypothesis in the toad-headed lizard Phrynocephalus przewalskii by comparing diet composition and prey sizes between males and females. The species was found to be sexual dimorphic, with males having relatively larger snout-vent length, head width, head length, and tail length, while females have relatively larger abdomen length. Based on analysis of 93 studied stomachs, a total of 1359 prey items were identified. The most common prey items were formicid, lygaeid and tenebrionid. The two sexes did not differ in the relative proportions of prey size categories they consumed and the dietary overlap based on prey species was high (O = 0.989). In addition, the meal size, the volume or any maximal dimension of the largest prey item in the stomach was not explained by the sexes. According to our results, food niche divergence might not play an important role in the SSD evolution ofP. przewalskii.  相似文献

Differences among taxa in sexual size dimorphism of adults can be produced by changes in distinct developmental processes and thus may reflect different evolutionary histories. Here we examine whether divergence in sexual dimorphism of adults between recently established Montana and Alabama populations of the house finch (Carpodacus mexicanus) can be attributed to population differences in growth of males and females. In both populations, males and females were similar at hatching, but as a result of sex-specific growth attained sexual size dimorphism by the time of independence. Timing and extent of growth varied between the sexes: Females maintained maximum rates of growth for a longer time than males, whereas males had higher initial growth rates and achieved maximum growth earlier and at smaller sizes than females. Ontogeny of sexual dimorphism differed between populations, but in each population, sexual dimorphism in growth parameters and sexual dimorphism at the time of nest leaving were similar to sexual dimorphism of adults. Variation in growth of females contributed more to population divergence than did growth of males. In each population, we found close correspondence between patterns of sexual dimorphism in growth and population divergence in morphology of adults: Traits that were the most sexually dimorphic in growth in each population contributed the most to population divergence in both sexes. We suggest that sex-specific expression of phenotypic and genetic variation throughout the ontogeny of house finches can result in different responses to selection between males and females of the same age, and thus produce fast population divergence in the sexual size dimorphism.  相似文献

This study examined sexual dimorphism of head morphology in the ecologically diverse three‐spined stickleback Gasterosteus aculeatus. Male G. aculeatus had longer heads than female G. aculeatus in all 10 anadromous, stream and lake populations examined, and head length growth rates were significantly higher in males in half of the populations sampled, indicating that differences in head size increased with body size in many populations. Despite consistently larger heads in males, there was significant variation in size‐adjusted head length among populations, suggesting that the relationship between head length and body length was flexible. Inter‐population differences in head length were correlated between sexes, thus population‐level factors influenced head length in both sexes despite the sexual dimorphism present. Head shape variation between lake and anadromous populations was greater than that between sexes. The common divergence in head shape between sexes across populations was about twice as important as the sexual dimorphism unique to each population. Finally, much of the sexual dimorphism in head length was due to divergence in the anterior region of the head, where the primary trophic structures were found. It is unclear whether the sexual dimorphism was due to natural selection for niche divergence between sexes or sexual selection. This study improves knowledge of the magnitude, growth rate divergence, inter‐population variation and location of sexual dimorphism in G. aculeatus head morphology.  相似文献
