Nonquasineutral electron current filaments with the azimuthal magnetic field are considered that arise due to the generation of electron vorticity in the initial (dissipative) stage of evolution of a current-carrying plasma, when the Hall number is small (σB/en e c ? 1) because of the low values of the plasma conductivity and magnetic field strength. Equilibrium filamentary structures with both zero and nonzero net currents are considered. Structures with a zero net current type form on time scales of t < t sk = (r 0ω pe /c)2 t st, where t sk is the skin time, t st is the typical time of electron-ion collisions, and r 0 is the radius of the filament. It is shown that, in nonquasineutral filaments in which the current is carried by electrons drifting in the crossed electric (E r ) and magnetic (B θ) fields, ultrarelativistic electron beams on the typical charge-separation scale r B = B/(4πen e ) (the so-called magnetic Debye radius) can be generated. It is found that, for comparable electron currents, the characteristic electron energy in filaments with a nonzero net current is significantly lower than that in zero-net-current filaments that form on typical time scales of t < t sk. This is because, in the latter type of filaments, the oppositely directed electron currents repel one another; as a result, both the density and velocity of electrons increase near the filament axis, where the velocities of relativistic electrons are maximum. Filaments with a zero net current can emit X rays with photon energies ? ω up to 10 MeV. The electron velocity distributions in filaments, the X-ray emission spectra, and the total X-ray yield per unit filament length are calculated as functions of the current and the electron number density in the filament. Analytical estimates of the characteristic lifetime of a radiating filament and the typical size of the radiating region as functions of the plasma density are obtained. The results of calculations are compared with the available experimental data.  相似文献

A new anti-Prelog short-chain dehydrogenase/reductase (SDR) encoding gene lcsdr was cloned from Lactobacillus composti DSM 18527, and heterologously expressed in Escherichia coli. LcSDR is nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH)-dependent and has a molecular weight of approximately 30 kDa. The optimal pH and temperature were 6.5 and 30?°C, respectively. The maximal reaction rate Vmax was 133.9 U mg?1; the Michaelis–Menten constant K m of LcSDR were 0.345 mM for acetophenone (1a), and 0.085 mM for NADPH. Through introducing an EsGDH-catalyzed NADPH regeneration system, a biocatalytic process for (R)-1-phenylethanol ((R)-1b) was developed with outstanding time–space yield. Under the optimized conditions, 50 g l?1 1a was converted to (R)-1b in 2 h with a yield of 93.8%, enantiomeric excess of product (e.e.p) above 99% and space–time yield of 562.8 g l?1 d?1.  相似文献

A study is made of the structure of a relativistic current filament with the azimuthal magnetic field Bθ in the range 4πn e m e c2?B θ 2 n i m i c2, when the plasma quasineutrality near the filament axis is violated and a narrow peak in electron density is formed there. The ion dynamics in a strong radial electric field of the filament on time scales of about several inverse ion plasma frequencies ω pi ?1 is investigated. The initial ion pressure prevents the ion plasma component from compression to infinitely high densities under the action of the electric field and leads to the formation of a dense hot plasma core near the axis of the Z-pinch on time scales of about a dozen ω pi ?1 . The compression of the ion component in the axial region gives rise to a collisionless “unloading” shock wave that propagates away from the axis and is accompanied by the vanishing of the radial ion velocity behind the shock front, the accumulation of positive charge near the axis, and the formation of a steady-state ion density profile. It is shown theoretically that ion-ion dissipation manifests itself as the destruction of the hot core of the formed Z-pinch on picosecond time scales. This may serve to explain the explosions of “hot points” in a current-carrying plasma.  相似文献

The compounds terrein (1), butyrolactone I (2), and butyrolactone V (3) were isolated from the ethyl acetate extract (EtOAc) of the endophytic fungus Aspergillus terreus—F7 obtained from Hyptis suaveolens (L.) Poit. The extract and the compounds presented schistosomicidal activity against Schistosoma mansoni; at 100 µg/mL for EtOAc extract, 1297.3 µM for compound 1, 235.6 µM for compound 2, and 454.1 µM for compound 3, they killed 100% of the parasites after 72 h of treatment. Compounds 1, 2, and 3 exerted moderate leishmanicidal activity against Leishmania amazonensis (IC50 ranged from 23.7 to 78.6 µM). At 235.6 and 227.0 µM, compounds 2 and 3, respectively, scavenged 95.92 and 95.12% of the DPPH radical (2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl), respectively. Regarding the cytotoxicity against the breast tumor cell lines MDA-MB-231 and MCF-7, compound 2 gave IC50 of 34.4 and 17.4 µM, respectively, while compound 3 afforded IC50 of 22.2 and 31.9 µM, respectively. At 117.6 µM, compound 2 inhibited the growth of and killed the pathogen Escherichia coli (ATCC 25922). Compounds 1, 2, and 3 displayed low toxicity against the normal line of human lung fibroblasts (GM07492A cells), with IC50 of 15.3?×?103, 3.4?×?103, and 5.8?×?103 µM, respectively. This is the first report on (i) the in vitro schistosomicidal and leishmanicidal activities of the EtOAc extract of A. terreus—F7 and compounds 1, 2, and 3; and (ii) the antitumor activity of compounds 2 and 3 against MDA-MB-231 and MCF-7 cells.  相似文献

A series of novel 2-(chromon-3-yl)-4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazoles (4a-h) were synthesized by one pot condensation of substituted 3-formylchromones (1a-h), benzil (2) and ammonium acetate (3) in refluxing acetic acid at 110 °C under N2 atmosphere. Allylation of compounds 4a-h with allyl bromide in the presence of fused K2CO3 furnished N-allyl-2-(chromon-3-yl)-4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazoles (6a-h). The synthesized compounds were characterized spectroscopically and evaluated for in vitro antimicrobial activity against various pathogenic bacterial and fungal strains by disc diffusion method. Compounds bearing electron withdrawing substituents such as bromo (4f) showed significant inhibitory activity against S. cerevisiae (MIC 1.4 μg/ml) and 4g containing chloro substituent, displayed more inhibitory potential against C. albicans (MIC 1.5), as compared to the standard drugs. Compounds 6a and 4c exhibit remarkable inhibitory potential against B. subtilis with MIC 0.98 and 1.23, respectively. The time kill assay for active compound 6a was performed by viable cell count (VCC) method to elucidate the microbicidal nature of 2-(chromon-3-yl)imidazoles. A molecular docking study of most active compounds with target ‘lanosterol 14α-demethylase’ (CYP51) was performed to unravel the mode of antifungal action.  相似文献

Natural bond orbital (NBO) analyses and dissected nucleus-independent chemical shifts (NICS π z z ) were computed to evaluate the bonding (bond type, electron occupation, hybridization) and aromatic character of the three lowest-lying Si2CH2 (1-Si, 2-Si, 3-Si) and Ge2CH2 (1-Ge, 2-Ge, 3-Ge) isomers. While their carbon C3H2 analogs favor classical alkene, allene, and alkyne type bonding, these Si and Ge derivatives are more polarizable and can favor “highly electron delocalized”? and “non-classical”? structures. The lowest energy Si 2CH2 and Ge 2CH2 isomers, 1-Si and 1-Ge, exhibit two sets of 3–center 2–electron (3c-2e) bonding; a π-3c-2e bond involving the heavy atoms (C–Si–Si and C–Ge–Ge), and a σ-3c-2e bond (Si–H–Si, Ge–H–Ge). Both 3-Si and 3-Ge exhibit π and σ-3c-2e bonding involving a planar tetracoordinated carbon (ptC) center. Despite their highly electron delocalized nature, all of the Si2CH2 and Ge2CH2 isomers considered display only modest two π electron aromatic character (NICS(0) π z z =--6.2 to –8.9 ppm, computed at the heavy atom ring center) compared to the cyclic-C 3H2 (–13.3 ppm).

A series of new sulfonamides have been synthesized from Ampyrone with different benzene sulfonyl chlorides to yield the N-1,5-dimethyl-3-oxo-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-4-yl) benzenesulfonamides (4ae). All synthesized compounds were characterized on the basis of FTIR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR, and also by the aid of mass spectral data. Further, all synthesized compounds have studied for their in vitro antimicrobial activities against selected bacterial as well as fungal strains by the agar well diffusion method. Free radical scavenging activity has been investigated by using DPPH method. Among all the synthesized compounds, 4b, 4d, and 4e exhibited significant antimicrobial and antioxidant activities.  相似文献

A quasi-linear prediction of the two-fluid dynamo effect is analyzed with the use of tearing eigenfunctions obtained for force-free equilibrium. In the range of parameters of practical interest, the basic shear Alfvén mode is decoupled from fast compressional Alfvén and slow magneto-acoustic modes. Kinetic Alfvén modification of the shear Alfvén wave drives an instability with a growth rate ∝δ1/3ρ s 2/3 , where δ is the electron skin depth and ρs is the ion-sound gyroradius. A net dynamo effect parallel to the magnetic field is calculated at ρ s ?δ for large values of the stability factor \(\Delta '\rho _s^{{1 \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {1 3}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} 3}} \delta ^{{1 \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {1 3}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} 3}} \gg 1\). The dynamo effect caused by the j×B Hall term dominates the contribution from the v×B term (the alpha effect) by a factor ∝(ρs/δ)2 in the narrow electron layer, while in the broader ion layer these contributions are comparable. The results are compared with the case of a strong guiding field where ρ s ?δ and the tearing instability is described by resistive MHD.  相似文献

The present study was designed to synthesize the bioactive molecule 2,2-bis(2,4-dinitrophenyl)-2-(phosphonatomethylamino)acetate (1), having excellent applications in the field of plant protection as a herbicide. Structure of newly synthesized molecule 1 was confirmed by using the elemental analysis, mass spectrometric, NMR, UV-visible, and FTIR spectroscopic techniques. To obtain better structural insights of molecule 1, 3D molecular modeling was performed using the GAMESS programme. Microbial activities of 1 were checked against the pathogenic strains Aspergillus fumigatus (NCIM 902) and Salmonella typhimurium (NCIM 2501). Molecule 1 has shown excellent activities against fungal strain A. fumigates (35 μg/l) and bacterial strain S. typhimurium (25 μg/l). To check the medicinal significance of molecule 1, interactions with bovine serum albumin (BSA) protein were checked. The calculated value of binding constant of molecule 1–BSA complex was 1.4 × 106 M?1, which were similar to most effective drugs like salicylic acid. More significantly, as compared to herbicide glyphosate, molecule 1 has exhibited excellent herbicidal activities, in pre- and post-experiments on three weeds; barnyard grass (Echinochloa Crus), red spranglitop (Leptochloa filiformis), and yellow nuts (Cyperus Esculenfus). Further, effects of molecule 1 on plant growth-promoting rhizobacterial (PGPR) strains were checked. More interestingly, as compared to glyphosate, molecule 1 has shown least adverse effects on soil PGPR strains including the Rhizobium leguminosarum (NCIM 2749), Pseudomonas fluorescens (NCIM 5096), and Pseudomonas putida (NCIM 2847).  相似文献

Abstract

Kandelia candel (L.) Druce is a shrub to small tree of the Sundarbans mangrove forest of Bangladesh. The aim of the study was to derive the allometric models for estimating above-ground biomass, nutrient and carbon stock in K. candel. A total of eight linear models with 64 regression equations were tested to derive the allometric models for biomass of each part of plant; and nutrients and carbon stock in total above-ground biomass. The best fitted allometric models were selected by considering the values of R 2, CV, R mse, MSerror, S a, S b, F value, AICc and Furnival Index. The selected allometric models were Biomass = 0.014 DBH2 + 0.03; √Biomass = 0.29 DBH ? 0.21; √Biomass = 0.66 √DBH ? 0.57; √Biomass = 1.19 √DBH ? 1.02; Biomass = 0.21 DBH2 + 0.12 for leaves, branches, bark, stem without bark and total above-ground biomass, respectively. The selected allometric models for Nitrogen, Phosphorous, Potassium and Carbon stock in total above-ground biomass were N = 0.39 DBH2 + 0.49, P = 0.77 DBH2 + 0.14, K = 0.87 DBH2 + 0.07 and C = 0.09 DBH2 + 0.05, respectively. The derived allometric models have included DBH as a single independent variable, which may give quick and accurate estimation of the above-ground biomass, nutrient and carbon stock in this species. This information may also contribute to a broader study of nutrient cycling, nutrient budgeting and carbon sequestration of the studied forest.

Four new imidazole-based ligands, 4-((1H-imidazol-4-yl)methyl)-2-phenyl-4,5-dihydrooxyzole (L OL 1), 4-((1H-imidazol-4-yl)methyl)-2-(tert-butyl)-4,5-dihydrooxyzole (L OL 2), 4-((1H-imidazol-4-yl)methyl)-2-methyl-4,5-dihydrooxyzole (L OL 3), and N-(2,2-dimethylpropylidene)-2-(1-trityl-1H-imidazol-4-yl-)ethyl amine (L imz 1), have been synthesized. The corresponding copper(I) complexes [Cu(I)(L OL 1)(CH3CN)]PF6 (CuL OL 1), [Cu(I)(L OL 2)(CH3CN)]PF6 (CuL OL 2), [Cu(I)(L OL 3)(CH3CN)]PF6 (CuL OL 3), [Cu(I)(L imz 1)(CH3CN)2]PF6 (CuL imz 1) as well as the Cu(I) complex derived from the known ligand bis(1-methylimidazol-2-yl)methane (BIMZ), [Cu(I)(BIMZ)(CH3CN)]PF6 (CuBIMZ), are screened as catalysts for the oxidation of 3,5-di-tert-butylcatechol (3,5-DTBC-H2) to 3,5-di-tert-butylquinone (3,5-DTBQ). The primary reaction product of these oxidations is 3,5-di-tert-butylsemiquinone (3,5-DTBSQ) which slowly converts to 3,5-DTBQ. Saturation kinetic studies reveal a trend of catalytic activity in the order CuL OL 3 ≈ CuL OL 1 > CuBIMZ > CuL OL 2 > CuL imz 1. Additionally, the catalytic activity of the copper(I) complexes towards the oxygenation of monophenols is investigated. As substrates 2,4-di-tert-butylphenol (2,4-DTBP-H), 3-tert-butylphenol (3-TBP-H), 4-methoxyphenol (4-MeOP-H), N-acetyl-l-tyrosine ethyl ester monohydrate (NATEE) and 8-hydroxyquinoline are employed. The oxygenation products are identified and characterized with the help of UV/Vis and NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and fluorescence measurements. Whereas the copper complexes with ligands containing combinations of imidazole and imine functions or two imidazole units (CuL imz 1 and CuBIMZ) are found to exhibit catalytic tyrosinase activity, the systems with ligands containing oxazoline just mediate a stoichiometric conversion. Correlations between the structures of the complexes and their reactivities are discussed.  相似文献

Background and aims

Although the role of microbial iron respiration in tidal marshes has been recognized for decades, the effect of rhizosphere processes on dissimilatory ferric iron reduction (FeR) is poorly known. Herein, we examined the FeR surrounding the root zone of three tidal marsh plants.

Methods

Using in situ rhizoboxes, we accurately separated rhizobox soil as one rhizosphere zone, and three bulk soil zones. Dissimilatory and sulfidic-mediated FeR were quantified by accumulation of non-sulfidic Fe(II) and Fe sulfides over time, respectively.

Results

The rates of dissimilatory FeR attained 42.5 μmol Fe g?1 d?1 in the rhizosphere, and logarithmically declined by up to 19.1 μmol Fe g?1 d?1 in the outer bulk soil. The rates of sulfidic-mediated FeR were less than 2 μmol Fe g?1 d?1 among all zones. Poorly crystalline Fe(III), DOC and DON, porewater Fe2+, and SO42? were all enriched in the rhizosphere, whereas non-sulfidic Fe(II) and Fe sulfides gradually accumulated away from the roots. Iron reducers (Geobacter, Bacillus, Shewanella, and Clostridium) had higher populations in the rhizosphere than in the bulk soil. Higher rates of dissimilatory FeR were observed in the Phragmites australis and Spartina alterniflora rhizoboxes than in the Cyperus malaccensis rhizoboxes.

Conclusions

The radial change pattern of dissimilatory FeR rates were determined by allocation of poorly crystalline Fe(III) and dissolved organic carbon. The interspecies difference of rhizosphere dissimilatory FeR was associated with the root porosity and aerenchyma of the tidal marsh plants.

A strain of the fungus Gliocladium roseum YMF1.00133 was found to secrete nematicidal metabolites against nematodes Panagrellus redivivus, Caenothabditis elegans and Bursaphelenchus xylophilus in experiments searching for nematicidal fungi. Through bioassay-guided fractionations, a unique trioxopiperazine alkaloid, gliocladin C (compound 1), and an alkylane resorcinol, 5-n-heneicosylresorcinol (compound 2) were obtained from the methanol extract of the fungus and determined by single-crystal X-ray analysis and spectroscopic data. In vitro immersion experiments showed that the ED50 values of compounds 1 and 2 after 24 h incubation were 15 and 30 μg/mL against C. elegans, 50 and 80 μg/mL against P. redivivus, and 200 and 180 μg/mL against B. xylophilus, respectively. The X-ray diffraction data of compound 1 and the nematicidal activity of compounds 1 and 2 were reported for the first time.  相似文献

The complete set of universal local relationships between geometrical (the curvature and torsion of the force lines of the magnetic field and the field complementary to it) and magnetic (|B|, |?Φ|, b · (? × b), and the local shear s) quantities in currentless magnetic configurations comprising a system of equilibrium nested magnetic surfaces, including those with several magnetic axes, is derived. A chemoenzymatic synthesis was developed for new highly specific fluorogenic substrates for cysteine proteases of the papain family, Abz-Phe-Ala-pNA (I) and Glp-Phe-Ala-Amc (II) (Abz, pNA, Glp, and Amc are o-aminobenzoyl, p-nitroanilide, pyroglutamyl, and 4-amino-7-methylcoumaride, respectively). Substrate (I) was obtained in an aqueous-organic medium using native chymotrypsin. Substrate (II) was synthesized in DMF-MeCN by the treatment with chymotrypsin and subtilisin Carlsberg immobilized on polyvinyl alcohol cryogel. Hydrolysis of substrate (I) with papain, ficin, and bromelain was accompanied by a 15-fold increase in fluorescence intensity, and that of substrate (II), by a change in the fluorescence spectrum. Unambiguity of enzymatic hydrolysis of the substrates after the Ala residue was shown. The specific activity of the substrate hydrolysis with papain, bromelain, and ficin and was determined. Papain showed the greatest activity for both substrates. The activity of all proteases under study was essentially higher for substrate (II), than for substrate (I). The lowest detectable papain concentrations were 2.4 × 10?10 M for (I) and 1.2 × 10?11 M for (II). A high selectivity of cysteine proteases for Glp-Phe-Ala-Amc was established.  相似文献
