Classification of Psychodinae has been a hotly contested topic in the taxonomic literature, with multiple mutually incompatible classifications proposed. Three main points of contention can be identified: (i) the validity of Maruinini Enderlein as a tribe‐level taxon and whether it forms a monophyletic group; (ii) the placement of subtribe Trichopsychodina Ježek – specifically whether it belongs with Psychoda Latreille in Psychodini or with Paramormia Enderlein and Telmatoscopus Eaton in Paramormiini Enderlein or Mormiini Enderlein; and (iii) whether Mormia Enderlein is more closely related to Brunettia Annandale or Paramormia Enderlein and Telmatoscopus Eaton. In the present paper, these questions are investigated using a molecular phylogeny of sequences compiled from all previous molecular phylogenies relevant to Psychodinae, as well as some hitherto unpublished sequences. The resulting matrix comprised 5406 base pairs from six markers for 32 taxa, and when analysed using Bayesian inference it yielded a well‐resolved tree which was unambiguous for all previously contentious points: Maruinini sensu lato (including Setomimini) was resolved as a valid taxon, Trichopsychodina is rendered paraphyletic by Psychodini, and Mormia is not closely related to Brunettia , but instead closer to Telmatoscopus and Paramormia . A revised tribal classification of Psychodinae is proposed, recognizing the tribes Psychodini, Brunettiini, Maruinini and Pericomaini as well as 17 unplaced genera.  相似文献

Alterosa Blahnik, 2005 contains 35 described species distributed in southern and southeastern Brazil. Three new species of Alterosa from northeastern Brazil are described and illustrated, Alterosa amadoi sp. n., Alterosa castroalvesi sp. n. and Alterosa caymmii sp. n., the first records of the genus from northeastern Brazil. An identification key for all known species of the genus is also presented.  相似文献

A new species of Antarctoecia Ulmer, 1907 (Trichoptera: Limnephilidae) from south-eastern Brazil, Antarctoecia brasiliensis sp. nov., is described and figured based on adult male and female specimens from Mantiqueira mountain range, Minas Gerais State. This is the first record of the family Limnephilidae from Brazil.  相似文献

Five new species, two new varieties and three newly reported taxa belonging to the Meliolaceae were collected in fragments of Atlantic forest from Minas Gerais, Brazil, in association with native plants and are described and illustrated herein. The newly described species are Appendiculella eupatorii, Meliola cassiae-ferrugineae, M. mutisiae, M. peruiferae, M. vernaliae. The new varieties are M. garugae var. protii and M. paullinifolii var. rubiginosae. These taxa are reported in Brazil for the first time: Asteridiella cyclopoda, A. entebbeensis var. codiaei and Meliola pazschkeana var. macropoda. We studied other species belonging in Meliolaceae collected on hosts belonging to the Asteraceae, Burseraceae, Euphorbiaceae, Fabaceae (Caesalpinioideae and Papilionoideae) and Sapindaceae in Brazil.  相似文献

Three new species of Falsocis Pic are described: Falsocis aquiloniussp. n. from Panamá, Costa Rica and Colombia, Falsocis egregiussp. n. from a single locality in northern Brazil and Falsocis occultussp. n. from two localities in southeastern and southern Brazil. New records, comparative notes and an identification key for male and female specimens of Falsocis species are also provided.  相似文献

The clade Tapejaridae is composed by pterosaurs commonly found in fossiliferous deposits in northeastern Brazil. It is constituted by two less inclusive clades: the smaller-bodied Tapejarinae and the larger Thalassodrominae. Here we describe the specimen MN 6566-V, from the Lower Cretaceous Romualdo Formation of the Araripe Basin, Brazil. The specimen is overall well preserved tridimensionally, and consists of three posterior cervical vertebrae, incomplete right and left scapulocoracoids, and the proximal portion of a right humerus. Comparisons to specimens described in the literature enable its identification as a thalassodromine, whose postcranial material is still poorly known despite the large amount of pterosaurs known from this unit.  相似文献

Parakiefferiella lagorum spec. nov. from central Chile is described and figured as male, female and pupa; P. hernandezi spec. nov. from south Chile and P. strixinorum spec. nov. from southeast Brazil as males and pupae; and P. wardorum spec. nov. from south Chile, as male only. In addition, an unassociated pupa from south Chile is described and figured. Keys to the Parakiefferiella males and pupae from South America are provided.  相似文献
