通过林地穿透雨排除的方法模拟降雨减少,测定河南宝天曼自然保护区锐齿栎叶片光合色素含量与反射光谱的季节变化,对减雨处理造成的光合色素变化及其反射光谱的变化进行了定量分析,并探讨了水分控制条件下反射光谱对叶片光合色素变化的响应机制.结果表明: 锐齿栎叶片的光合色素含量和色素比率均呈现明显的季节变化.减雨样地与对照样地叶片的光合色素含量和比率在生长季的各个时期存在差异,其中,叶片叶绿素b(Chl b)含量的差异显著,说明Chl b对减雨处理的敏感性最高,叶片类胡萝卜素(Car)含量的差异较小,说明Car对减雨处理的敏感性相对较弱.550 nm处的光谱反射率对色素季节变化的响应最敏感,以其构造的简单比值指数(SR750,550)与叶片Chl a、Chl b、总Chl和Car含量的正相关关系显著,光化学反射指数(PRI)与叶片Car/Chl的负相关关系显著.550 nm处的光谱反射率对减雨处理造成的色素变化响应最为敏感.SR750,550对减雨处理造成的叶片Chl a、Chl b和总Chl的含量变化表现敏感(P<0.01),对Chl a/b的变化不敏感.PRI对减雨处理造成的叶片Car/Chl变化表现敏感(P<0.01).  相似文献

Seasonal and diurnal measurements of leaf water potential (ψ1), relative water content (RWC) and stomatal conductance (gs) were made in the field on 19-year old Prunus salicina (L.) cv. Santa Rosa, a deciduous fruit tree species, irrigated with 3 different concentrations of saline water over a 3 year period (1985-1987). With the exception of stage III of fruit growth, little or no treatment difference in Φ1, leaf turgor potential (Φp), or RWC was noted during the day. Seasonal averages of morning (0700-0900) and afternoon (1500-1700) Φp did not decline with increasing salinity, indicating long-term osmotic adjustment in this species. Maintenance of leaf water status under saline conditions was in part a consequence of increased stomatal closure, with a subsequent reduction in leaf transpiration rate. However, during stage III of fruit growth, an increase in mean afternoon (1200-1700) stomatal conductance of 26-117%, independent of salinity treatment, was observed in 1985 and again in 1987. Higher conductance values during this period may be associated with rapid fruit expansion and greater assimilate demand. The observed increase in conductance resulted in greater leaf water loss and larger measured differences in midday ψ1 between salinity treatments. This research indicates that for Prunus salicina in the field, salinity stress resulted in leaf water deficits only during the final period of fruit expansion and ripening.  相似文献

Nondestructive techniques developed by the authors for assessment of chlorophylls, carotenoids, and anthocyanins in higher plant leaves and fruits are presented. The spectral features of leaf reflectance in the visible and near infrared regions are briefly considered. For pigment analysis only reflectance values at several specific wavelengths are required. The chlorophyll (Chl) content over a wide range of its changes can be assessed during leaf ontogeny using reflectance near 700 nm and, in the absence of anthocyanins, at 550 nm. The approaches used for elimination of Chl interference in the analysis of carotenoids (reflectance at 520 nm) and anthocyanins (at 550 nm) are described. The suitability of reflectance spectroscopy for estimates of carotenoid/chlorophyll ratios during leaf senescence and fruit ripening is demonstrated. The algorithms developed for pigment analysis are presented, and the conditions of their applicability are considered. Further perspectives for the application of reflectance spectroscopy including remote sensing for estimation of plant pigment content and physiological states are discussed.  相似文献

The growth and development of rainbow trout, Salmo gairdneri , from hatch to first feeding depends upon the nutrients stored in the yolk sac. The efficiency ( E ) with which yolk can be converted to larval biomass is a useful measurement in chronic toxicity tests, and it can be simply estimated by comparing the gain in larval weight ( L ) to the loss in yolk weight ( Y ) at hatch (time 0) and at any time t after hatch: E =( L 1− L 0)/( Y 0− Y 1); E may be calculated on a wet or dry weight basis. Although the rates of weight change were constant for the first 15 days after hatch at 10.5° C, E was not. E increased from near 0 and approached a value of 2.1 on a wet weight basis or 0.70 on a dry weight basis after 5–8 days. The variability of E was also very high shortly after hatch, but declined and stabilized within 5–9 days. For toxicity testing, we recommend that E be measured 10–15 days post-hatch to ensure precision with a minimum bias due to dissection error.  相似文献

Role of growth regulators in the senescence of Arabidopsis thaliana leaves   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
A homozygous, dominant, C2H4-resistant line of Arabidopsis thaliana (L.) Heynh (cv. Columbia; er ) was selected from ethylmethylsulfonate-mutagenized seed, and used to test the role of C2H4 and other growth regulators in senescence of mature leaves. Chlorophyll (Chl) loss from disks excised from leaves of er was much slower than that from wild-type (WT) disks, whether they were held in the light or in the dark. C2H4 accelerated Che loss from WT disks but had no effect on the yellowing of mutant disks. C2H4 biosynthesis was higher in disks from the mutant plants, particularly in the light. In the dark, treatment with the cytokinin, 6-benzyladenine (BA), reduced Chl loss from wild-type disks, but had no effect on mutant disks. In the light, BA treatment stimulated chlorophyll breakdown in both wild type and mutant disks. Treatment with abscisic acid (ABA) stimulated chlorophyll loss in wild-type and mutant disks, whether they were held in the light or the dark. C2H4 production was stimulated in ABA-treated disks, but they still yellowed even when C2H4 production was inhibited by application of aminooxyacetic acid (AOA). These data indicate that C2H4 is only one of the factors involved in leaf senescence, and that the promotion of senescence by ABA is not mediated through its stimulation of C2H4 production.  相似文献

[15N]-depleted (NH4)2SO4 applied to the soil in 1985 resulted in residual labeling of about 16% of the storage nitrogen (N) pool of mature walnut ( Juglans regia L. cv. Serr) trees in 1987. Application of [15N]-depleted (NH4)2SO4 fertilizer to a different set of mature walnut trees in 1987 allowed monitoring of the kinetics and utilization of N from current year uptake in 1987 and resulted in >20% labeling of fruit N following completion of leaf expansion. Redistribution of storage N to the new growth predominated during the spring flush of growth although N derived from the soil during current-year uptake contributed increasingly during leaf expansion. Labeled N from current year uptake accumulated preferentially in the leaves as compared with reproductive organs during leaf expansion but subsequent to leaf expansion, fruit were more highly labeled with N derived from current-year uptake than leaves. Pistillate flower abortion was coincident with an apparent competition for N among developing vegetative and reproductive organs and preceded the period of significant N contribution from current-year uptake.  相似文献

作物叶片色素状况是评价植株光合效率和营养胁迫的重要指标,冠层叶片色素密度(单位土地面积叶片色素总量)的实时无损监测对作物生长诊断、产量估算及氮素管理具有重要意义。以包括不同品质类型(高蛋白、中蛋白和低蛋白)的多个小麦品种在不同施氮水平下的连续2a大田试验为基础,研究了小麦叶片色素密度与冠层高光谱参数的定量关系。结果表明,叶片色素(叶绿素a、叶绿素b、叶绿素a+b和类胡萝卜素)密度随施氮水平增加而提高,不施氮处理的叶片色素密度随生育进程而下降,施氮处理的叶片色素密度呈单峰曲线,品种间存在明显差异。群体叶片色素密度的敏感波段主要分布在可见光区,而红边区域导数光谱表现更显著。光谱参数VOG2、VOG3、RVI(810,560)、SRE/SBE和SDr/SDb等与叶绿素密度关系较为密切,线性方程决定系数R^2均在0.858以上,而与类胡萝卜素密度关系减弱,决定系数R^2低于0.780,且参数间差异较小。经独立试验资料的检验表明,VOG2、VOG3、SRE/SBE和SDr/SDb对不同色素的估测结果较好,预测相对误差RE低于17.6%,虽然对叶绿素b的准确性稍低。总体上,光谱参数VOG2、VOG3、SRE/SBE和SDr/SDb与小麦群体叶片色素密度关系密切,特别是对叶片叶绿素a和叶绿素a+b的密度可以进行准确可靠的实时监测。  相似文献

Cultivated tomato Lycopersicon esculentum (L.) Mill. cv. P-73 and its wild salt tolerant relative L. pennellii (Correll) D'Arcy accession PE-47, were grown during spring-summer 1989 under unheated plastic greenhouse conditions. Plants were submitted to two different salt treatments using 0 and 140 mM NaCI irrigation water. In both tomato species, salinity caused a proportionally larger reduction in leaf area than in leaf weight and, in L. esculentum , a proportionally larger decrease in stem weight than in leaf weight. Daily variations in leaf water potential (Ψ1) were fundamentally due to changes in the evaporative demand of the atmosphere. Reductions in Ψ1 due to salinity were consistent only in L. esculentum . In all the conditions studied, leaf turgor was maintained. Leaf conductance (g1)was higher in L. esculentum than in L. pennellii .Salinity induced a clear reduction in g1 levels in L. esculentum whereas, in L. pennellii , this reduction was noted only in May. In both species the Ψos (leaf osmotic potential at full turgor) levels were reduced by salinity. The bulk modulus of elasticity (E) and relative water content at turgor loss point (RWCtlp) were not affected by salinity. The contents of Chl a and Chl b in dark-grown leaves of wheat ( Triticum aestivum L. cv. Starke II, Weibull) irradiated for 20 h with light of different wavelengths and intensities have been measured. The amount of Chl b formed revealed a higher maximum in the Chl b /Chl a ratio for light most strongly absorbed by the phytochrome system and giving a high [Pfr]/[Ptot] ratio. This indicates a stronger enhancing effect of Pfr on Chl b formation than on Chl a formation. Similarities between action spectra for Chl a and b formation indicate that Chl b originates from Chl a . A comparatively high effectiveness of light within the wavelength range 500–550 nm as compared to the action spectrum for PChl→Chl phototransformation shows that PChl636, in addition to PChl650, takes part in the greening process.  相似文献

Model ecosystems were grown in 12 sunlit, climate-controlled chambers to gain insight into the effects of elevated (+3°C) air temperature (Tair) on temperate grasslands. In this study, the hypothesis of delayed senescence in response to elevated Tair was tested for Rumex acetosa L. and Plantago lanceolata L. During the autumn of the first treatment year, frequent measurements were made of leaf chlorophyll a (Chl a ) fluorescence transients. Chl fluorescence images of individual leaves as well as digital colour images of these ecosystems were captured. Chl fluorescence variables, such as the maximum quantum yield of primary photochemistry (Fv/Fm), indicated a decreasing efficiency with time. Despite no treatment effect on Fv/Fm, other variables derived from the Chl fluorescence transients showed a strong trend towards a positive effect of a 3°C temperature increase on the photosynthetic performance of R. acetosa and P. lanceolata in the first year. After mid-September, the initial positive treatment effect disappeared for R. acetosa , strongly suggesting that leaf lifespan of this species was shortened by higher Tair. One possible explanation is more intense drought stress in the elevated compared to the ambient temperature treatments. Second-year measurements were possibly too limited in time to confirm this trend. These results show that temperate grassland species may take advantage of a future increase in Tair during autumn. This will ultimately depend on the species' degree of acclimation to a temperature change and on the resistance to drought stress.  相似文献

Some processes of excess radiation dissipation have been associated with changes in leaf reflectance near 531 nm. We aimed to study the relations between the photochemical reflectance index (PRI) derived from this signal, and photosynthetic radiation-use efficiency (defined as net CO2 assimilation rate/incident photon flux density) in a cereal canopy. Measurements of reflectance, fluorescence, gas exchange and xanthophyll cycle pigments were made in the morning, midday and afternoon in barley canopies with two levels of nitrogen fertilization. The photosynthetic radiation-use efficiency decreased at midday, mainly in the third leaf, in both treatments, with lower values for the nitrogen deficient leaves. The zeaxanthin content showed the inverse pattern, increasing at midday and in the nitrogen deficient treatment. The photosynthetic radiation-use efficiency was well correlated with the epoxidation state, EPS (violaxanthin + 0.5 antheraxanthin)/(violaxanthin + antheraxanthin + zeaxanthin). The PRI [here defined as (R539 - R570)/(R539+ R570)] was significantly correlated with epoxidation state and zeaxanthin and with photosynthetic radiation-use efficiency. These results validate the utility of PRI in the assessment of radiation-use efficiency at canopy level.  相似文献

Fertilization of bean plants grown in perlite with 1 and 3 mM CaCl2 or Ca(NO3)2 reduced severity of grey mould as compared with control plants or plants fertilized with 5 mM of the compounds. Fertilization with Ca(NO3)2 reduced severity leaf grey mould and fruit ghost spots of tomato plants grown in perlite by 70 and 45%, respectively. The rate of decrease varied with the position of the fruits on the plants. Leaves from plants treated with calcium or otherwise [KNO3, (NH4)2SO4] produced less ethylene than leaves of nontreated plants. Rate of growth of B. cinerea was lower on growth medium prepared from washings from leaves of calcium fertilized plants than from leaves from other treatments. The fertilizer combination Ca(H2PO4)2+ CaSO4 (1 and 3 g/kg soil) applied once to tomato plants grown in soil reduced severity of leaf grey mould by 80 % (significant at P = 0.05) but 1–3 g CaSO4/kg soil only tended to reduce disease severity (30–40 %, not significant) as compared with the control. The compounds CaCl2 and Ca(NO3)2 increased significantly ( P = 0.05) the growth of B. cinerea on synthetic medium when applied at rates of 1 0–10.0 mM whereas reduction of growth was observed with 0.1 mM of the compounds and of CaSO4.  相似文献

The cytokinin-like activity of the growth regulating chemical EDU, N-[2-(2-oxo-1-imidazolidinyl)ethyl]-N'-phenylurea, was determined and compared with the actitivity of kinetin using the tobacco callus bioassay. EDU has a pronounced stimulatory effect on callus growth at concentrations of 5 × 10−4 and 1 × 10−3 M but was 5 000 times less potent than the synthetic cytokinin, kinetin. Senescence regulation and oxidant resistance induced by EDU and kinetin were also studied. EDU retarded the breakdown of chlorophyll, protein and RNA in 03-sensitive tobacco leaf discs during senescence. EDU was much more effective in arresting senescence and in protecting against 03 injury than kinetin. Results indicate the EDU-induced plant tolerance to 03 phytotoxicity may be indirect through enzyme induction regulation.  相似文献

Equation (4) is true whenever an insecticide consists of an active ingredient in a diluent, whatever the dosage-mortality relationship. The visual pigments in the retinal rods of elvers ( Anguilla anguilla L.) were examined by microspectrophotometry and high performance liquid chromatography. The glass elver stage had a mixture of rhodopsin P5011 and porphyropsin P5232 with the former predominating (P5011:P5232= c. 60:40). More mature pigmented elvers had a predominance of the porphyropsin P5232 (P5011:P5232= c. 10:90). The shift between the proportions of each pigment was monitored over a 7-month period and was shown to occur in individual retinal rods. This shift is a reverse of the pigment shift that occurs in adult eels during their downstream migration.  相似文献

A senescence-specific protease has been purified from senescent unpollinated ovaries of Pisum sativum L. cv. Alaska by acidic extraction. (NH4)2SO4 fractionation, ion exchange chromatography on CM-Sephadex, and affinity chromatography on ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase (Rubisco)-Sepharose. Characterization of the purified protease indicated that it is a thiol-endoprotease (EC 3. 4. 22 class) active over a wide pH range. Purified antibodies against this protease inhibit the degradation of Rubisco in autodigested extracts of senescent ovaries, suggesting that Rubisco might be a substrate for the protease in senescent pea ovaries. The relative levels of the protease were determined by an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) along the processes of ovary senescence and gibberellic acid (GA)-induced fruit development, indicating its induction at the beginning of senescence and the suppression of its synthesis by GA treatment.  相似文献

Effects of river discharge on growth of redbreast sunfish Lepomis auritus were investigated in nine rivers in Georgia, U.S.A. Fish were aged and annular total length increments ( L Tinc) estimated from measurements from sectioned sagittal otoliths using the generalized regression model that held for the effects of decreasing L Tinc from annual age ( X ): L Tinc= b o− b 1( X ) ± b i( D ), where b o, b 1 and b i were the regression coefficients for the intercept and slopes and D , discharge, was either a single or multiple measurements of annular or seasonal flow volume or variation in flow volume. For eight of nine rivers, higher or greater variation in flows from April to June was associated with greater L. auritus growth; in the last river, higher flows from January to March were associated with greater fish growth. Across all rivers, L. auritus growth increments were 22, 45 and 36% greater in a wet year v . a dry year at ages 1, 2 and 3 years, respectively. Based on the results of this study, increasing water withdrawals by an additional 30% in five Georgia rivers would reduce the predicted number of L. auritus recruiting to 203 mm (angler preferred size) by 19–62%.  相似文献

Abstract. Transpiration rates from apple leaves are analysed in terms of the ratio of latent heat flux (λ E ) to leaf net radiation ( Q 1) and the climatological resistance ( ri ). Increases in stomatal resistance with increasing leaf to air vapour pressure gradient ( D ), described by an empirical model, are incorporated in the analysis. This humidity effect causes the proportion of energy dissipated as latent heat to fall as Q 1 increases, so that leaf transpiration rates in high energy environments are likely to be similar to those in lower energy environments. Boundary layer resistance ( r a) exerts an increasingly important effect on transpiration rates as Q 1 increases. At constant Q 1 stomatal closure in response to increasing D results in very small changes in leaf temperature ( T 1) across a wide range of ambient vapour pressure deficits (δ e ); r a is then the major factor determining T 1. The implications of these results are discussed.  相似文献

Pigment combinations are regulated during leaf ontogenesis. To better understand pigment function, alterations in chlorophyll, carotenoid and anthocyanin concentrations were investigated during different leaf development stages in six subtropical landscape plants, namely Ixora chinensis Lam, Camellia japonica Linn, Eugenia oleina Wight, Mangifera indica L., Osmanthus fragrans Lowr and Saraca dives Pierre. High concentrations of anthocyanin were associated with reduced chlorophyll in juvenile leaves. As leaves developed, the photosynthetic pigments (chlorophyll and carotenoid) of all six species increased while anthocyanin concentration declined. Chlorophyll fluorescence imaging of ΦPSII (effective quantum yield of PSII) and of NPQ (non-photochemical fluorescence quenching) and determination of electron transport rate-rapid light curve (RLC) showed that maximum ETR (leaf electron transport rate), ΦPSII and the saturation point in RLC increased during leaf development but declined as they aged. Juvenile leaves displayed higher values of NPQ and Car/Chl ratios than leaves at other developmental stages. Leaf reflectance spectra (400–800 nm) were measured to provide an in vivo non-destructive assessment of pigments in leaves during ontogenesis. Four reflectance indices, related to pigment characters, were compared with data obtained quantitatively from biochemical analysis. The results showed that the ARI (anthocyanin reflectance index) was linearly correlated to anthocyanin concentration in juvenile leaves, while a positive correlation of Chl NDI (chlorophyll normalized difference vegetation index) to chlorophyll a concentration was species dependent. Photosynthetic reflectance index was not closely related to Car/Chl ratio, while a structural-independent pigment index was not greatly altered by leaf development or species. Accordingly, it is suggested that the high concentration of anthocyanin, higher NPQ and Car/Chl ratio in juvenile leaves are important functional responses to cope with high radiation when the photosynthetic apparatus is not fully developed. Another two leaf reflectance indices, ARI and Chl NDI, are valuable for in vivo pigment evaluation during leaf development.  相似文献
