NOTES ON NEW SPECIES AND NEW RECORD OF THE GENUS BIBIO GEOFFRO Y FROM CHINA (Diptera: Bibionidae)

The present paper deals with ten new species and one new record species of the Genus Bibio Geoffroy from China. The type specimens are kept in the Insect Collections of Beijing Agricultural University. 1. Bibio parvispinalis, sp. nov. (fig, 1) This new species is very similar to B. tenebrosus Coquilletti, but can be distinguished from the latter by the antenna 12-segmented, the last segment of palpi two times longe than wide, the spina of the front tibia rather sharp pointed, the tergum 9 of the male     

褐小卷蛾属分类研究及一新种记述(鳞翅目:卷蛾科:新小卷蛾亚科)

This paper deals with two species of the genus Antichlidas Meyrick. Antichlidas trigonia sp. nov. is described as new to science. The adult photograph and the genital structures of the new species are provided. A key to the described species is given.     

STUDIES ON CHINESE PLUSIINAE (LEPIDOPTERA: NOCTUIDAE)

The present paper lists 36 species and describes the male and female genitaliaof 18 species of Plusiinae from China. Among them 2 genera and 6 species are newto science, and 3 species are in new combinations. Chrysodeixis omeiensis Chou et Lu sp. nov. Male genitalia: Uneus 1 mm. Valvae slender and long, 2.7 mm. Ampulla 0.6 mm.     

New ommatids from the Late Jurassic of western Liaoning, China （Coleoptera： Archostemata）

A new genus Amblomma gen. nov. of fossil beetles is erected and can be assignedto the family Ommatidae because its two procoxal cavities are contiguous and the articulations of the abdominal ventrites are abutting. The new genus is similar to Zygadenia Handlirsch, 1906 (=Notocupes Ponomarenko, 1964), Tetraphalerus Waterhouse, 1901,Rhobdocupes Ponomarenko, 1966 and Sinocupes Lin, 1976, but can be distinguished from other genera according to the following characters: the second segment of antennae is shorterthan the third one in length; the posterior tarsi with the basal segment is obviously shorter than the three following taken together in length; the antennae reach the posterior ridge of prothroax in length, and the sides of the prothroax with serrulate margin. Four new species of the new genus are described and figured: Amblomma psilata gen. et sp. nov., Amblomma rudis gen. et sp. nov., Amblomma epicharis gen. et sp. nov., and Amblomma stabilis gen. etsp. nov. A key to species within this new genus is provided. All the specimens are collected from the Late Jurassic Yixian Formation of western Liaoning and are now housed in the College of Life Science, Capital Normal University, Beijing, China.     

A taxonomic study on Endotricha Zeller （Lepidoptera： Pyralidae： Pyralinae） in China

A checklist of 30 species ofEndotricha Zeller in China is presented in this paper. Six species （E. dumalis sp. nov., E. lunulata sp. nov. E. medogana sp. nov., E. nigra sp. nov., E. purpurata sp. nov. and E. simipunicea sp. nov.） are new to science and three （E. admirabilis Kirpichnikova, E. fuscobasalis Ragonot and E. valentis Kirpichnikova） are recorded for the first time in China. The adult features and genital structures of the new species are illustrated and a key to the Chinese species is given.     

NEW SPECIES AND NEW GENUS OF DELPHACIDAE FROM CHINA

The present paper deals with ten new species and one new genus of Delphacidae fromvarious parts of China. These type specimens are kept in the authors institutions re-spectively. 1. Stenocranus hongtiaus Kuoh sp. nov. (fig. 1) This species resembles S. matsumurai Metcalf, but may be separated by the body dis-tinctly smaller, the pronotum and mesonotum with two orge-red stripes, the form ofthe processes of the anal segment, and of the inner margin of the genital styles.     

A STUDY OF CRYPTOLECHIA ZELLER（LEPIDOPTERA. OECOPHORIDAE） IN CHINA （Ⅱ）： SPECIES FROM GUIZHOU PROVINCE

The present paper reports fourteen species of the genus Cryptolechia from Guizhou Province, China. Eleven species are described as new: C. proximideflecta sp. nov., C. muscosa sp.nov., C. solifasciaria sp. nov., C. spinifera sp. nov., C. denticulata sp. nov., C. furcellata sp. nov.,C. latifascia sp. nov., C. acutiuscula sp. nov., C. fasciculifera sp. nov., C. hamatilis sp. nov. and C.concaviuscula sp. nov. The female of C. gei Wang is reported for the first time, and the genital structures of the new species are illustrated.     

A REVIEW OF THE GENUS A CRICOTOPUS KIEFFER （DIPTERA： CHIRONOMIDAE） IN CHINA

The genus Acricotopus Kieffer including three species from China is reviewed.Acricotopus lucens (Zetterstedt) is reexamined. Two species A. simplex sp. nov. and A.zhalingensis sp. nov. are described as male imagines. Acricotopus simplex sp. nov. was collected from Xizang, Sichuan and Qinghai Provinces; the species differs from others of the genus by the absence of hind tibial comb, temporal and clypeal seta. Acricotopus zhalingensis sp. nov. was collected from Qinghai Province; the species is recognized by a combination of characters: the larger body size; the clypeus without setae; anal lobe strongly produced, nearly hemispherical shape; inferior volsella triangular, strongly sclerotized; gonostylus with 13 very long setae. A key to the world males of the genus is presented. The generic diagnosis is emended.All the types described in this paper are deposited in Department of Biology, Nankai University,China (BDN).     

Two new species of the genus Eotmethis from China (Orthoptera: Acridioidea: Pamphagidae)

Two new species of the genus Eotmethis Bey-Bienko, 1948 are described in this paper, namely E. daqingshanensis sp. nov. and E. gansuensis sp. nov. from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Gansu Province, respectively. The type specimens of the new species are deposited in College of Life Sciences, Hebei University, Baoding, China.     

A new species of rain-pool frog (Dicroglossidae: Fejervarya) from western Thailand

We describe a new species,Fejervarya muangkanensis sp.nov.,based on a series of specimens collected from Ban Tha Khanun,Thong Pha Phum District,Kanchanaburi Province,Thailand.The new species is easily distinguished from its congeners by morphological and molecular data,and can be diagnosed by the following characters:(1) small size (adult male snout-vent length (SVL) 33.5 mm;female SVL 40.0-40.9 mm);(2) tympanum small,discernible but unclear;(3) poorly developed toe webbing;(4) no lateral line system in adults;(5)characteristic “Fejervaryan” lines present in females;and (6) femoral glands absent.Molecular phylogenetic analysis of mitochondrial 16S rRNA further supports it as a distinct lineage and distinguishes it from its congeners for which sequences are available.

NEW SPECIES OF COCCINELLIDAE FROM YUNNAN, CHINA

17 new species of Coccinellidae collected from Yunnan of China are described.All the type specimens are kept in the Forestry Department of Yunnan Province.1.Vibidia luliangensis,sp.nov.(fig.1) Upperside yellowish brown,with 6 milky spots.The apex of sipho with a shortthreadike process,curved upward and with membranous enclosure.Median lobe oftegmen with a transverse ridge being situated at 2/3 from the base to apex of dorsalsurface,the parameres shorter than the median lobe. Length:4.5 mm.Width:3.5mm. Holotype ♂,Luliang(Daboshu,1840m)Yunnan,16.Ⅳ.1979,by Feng Shiming(No.83001) This species is related to Vibidia duodecimguttata(Poda)and Vibidia nagayamai M.Araki,but its diagnostic characters are the different structures of male genitalia.     

A New Species of the Ant Genus Aenictus Shuckard （Hymenoptera： Formicidae） from Henan, China

A new species of the ant genus Aenictus Shuckard, A. henanensis, sp. nov., was collected from Yichuan County, Henan Province. The new species is close to A. lifuiae Terayama, but in profile view dorsum of propodeum straight, dorsum of petiolar node roundly convex, dorsum of propodeum entirely microreticulate. This new species is also close to A. ceylonicus (Mayr), but mandible with a large apical tooth, a small preapical tooth and followed by 5 indistinct minute denticles, subpetiolar process low and rounded, anterior half of pronotum microreticulate.     

Report on the Hippolytidae Bate (sensu lato) from China seas

Thirty species belonging to 13 genera of three families in the Hippolytidae Bate, 1888(sensu lato) are reported in the present paper, including two new species and two newly recorded ones from the China seas. The two new species are named as Thinora leptochelus sp. nov. and Thor singularis sp. nov. Thinora leptochelus sp. nov. differs from the only knwon species of the genus, Thinora maldivensis(Borradaile, 1915), by the developed supraorbital tooth and the slender and cone-shaped chelae of the first 2 pereopods. Thor singularis sp. nov. can be dinstingershed from the other members of the genus Thor by the first 2 pereopods with epipods. The two newly recorded species from China seas are Eualus kikuchii Miyake & Hayashi, 1967 and Heptacarpus commensalis Hayashi, 1979.     

中国新纪录属——平织蛾属Erotis(鳞翅目:织蛾科)研究(英文)

首次报道了平织蛾属Erotis Meyrick在中国的分布,并描述了2新种:阔平织蛾Erotis expansasp.nov.和点平织蛾Erotis punctalosa sp.nov.。阔平织蛾采自贵州江口,与Erotis phosphoraMeyrick相似,但其雄性外生殖器的爪形突较宽大,后缘中部微凹;颚形突几乎与爪形突等长;抱器背平直。点平织蛾采自广西防城,与阔平织蛾Erotis expansa sp.nov.外形近似,但其雌性第八腹节背板后缘较平直;囊突角状,基部骨化板为不规则三角形,其前缘有微刺。文中给出了该属世界已知种检索表。模式标本保存在南开大学生物系。     

THREE NEW SPECIES OF THE GENUS SPILOGONA （DIPTERA： MUSCIDAE） IN CHINA

Three new species of the genus Spilogona Schnabl, namely S. carbiarenosa sp. nov., S.dasyoomma sp. nov. and S. kunjirapensis sp. nov. are described from China. The type specimens of S. kun-firapensis sp. nov. are kept in the Institute of Zoology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and those of S. carbi-arenosa sp. nov. and S. dasyoomma sp. nov. are deposited in Shenyang Normal University.     

A new species of the genus Girardia (Tricladida: Dugesiidae) from China

The genus Girardia(Tricladida: Dugesiidae) was recorded in China for the first time. A new freshwater turbellarian species, G. sinensis Chen & Wang, sp. nov., is described, which was collected from Xinghu Lake, Zhaoqing, Guangdong Province, China. Observation and analysis of the new species was conducted on morphology, habits, reproduction, histochemistry and molecular phylogenetics. In addition, the results indicated that morphological differences of ACh E+ nerve structure can be used as a distinguishable character for species identification of Dugesiidae.     

Three new species of imitator-group of the genus Macrophya (Hymenoptera,Tenthredinidae) from China

Three species, Macrophya circulotibialis Li, Liu & Heng, sp. nov., M. curvatitheca Li, Liu & Heng, sp. nov. and M. changbaina Li, Liu & Heng, sp. nov., of the imitator-group of the genus Macrophya Dahlbom(Hymenoptera, Tenthredinidae) from China are described as new to science. A key to all known species of the imitator-group from China is provided. The specimens examined in this study, including all holotypes and paratypes of the new species, are deposited in the Insect Collection of Central South University of Forestry and Technology, Changsha, Hunan, China, and the Department of Zoology, National Museum of Nature and Science, Amakubo, Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan.     

A NEW RHEOCRICOTOPUS THIENEMANN ＆ HARNISCHIA （DIPTERA： CHIRONOMIDAE） FROM TAIWAN PROVINCE, CHINA

Rheocricotopus (Psilocricotopus) taiwanensis sp. n. from Taiwan, China, is described as male imagines. The species is allied to R. (P.) chalybeatus (Edwards) but it is easily separated from the latter in lacking setae in all reins, much lower AR and more pronounced crista dorsalis in gonostylus. The genus is new to Taiwan Province, China. The specimen is deposited at the Department of Biology, Nankai University, Tianjin.
