Abstract

Dioecy ensures cross pollination but pollen must travel from male to female plants, sometimes covering long distances. The present study concerns the reproductive strategy of two Italian dioecious plants: Mercurialis annua L. and Bryonia dioica L. The former is anemophilous and the latter is entomophilous; the latter has nectar and pollen as rewards. The distribution of pollen grains on the stigma is very different in the two species, reflecting the different types of pollination. In both species there is a number-dependent mechanism of pollen germination on the stigma. This mechanism could enhance male gametophytic competition.  相似文献

The PAS reaction was used to stain total insoluble polysaccharides in whole pollen grains of anthers of Borago officinalis and Lycopersicum peruvianum from early microspore to ripe pollen stage. Total polysaccharide content was quantified with a microdensitometer: in Borago officinalis values showed two peaks, one during the microspore and the other during the binucleate stage; in Lycopersicum, there was a single peak during the latter stage. In both species total polysaccharide content decreased markedly in the last stage of pollen development before anthesis, when starch was hydrolysed and the polysaccharide reserves of the pollen transferred to the cytoplasm. Pollen grain volume was also determined at the various stages. It was found to increase, though with a different pattern in the two species, and to decrease before dehiscence. The results are discussed in terms of cytoembryological data of pollen grain development.  相似文献

Pollen histochemistry and pollen : ovule ratios in Zingiberaceae   总被引:7,自引:0,他引:7  
BACKGROUND AND AIMS: Pollen grains of 37 species from 11 genera in the family Zingiberaceae were examined to assess qualitatively starch or lipid contents; the pollen grain and ovule numbers per flower and pollen : ovule ratios were also counted and calculated. Pollen : ovule ratios were studied to reveal patterns of variation in the Zingiberaceae. METHODS: Freshly open flowers with dehiscing anthers were collected at random from plants growing in natural habitats or in botanical gardens. Presence of lipids or starch in pollen grains was tested by Sudan solution and IKI solution, respectively, and examined under a microscope. To estimate the pollen and ovule numbers per flower, one anther from each bud was carefully dissected and all pollen grains were counted; ovaries were carefully dissected out of each flower and counted. Whenever possible, at least 10-15 buds were used in the determination. KEY RESULTS: Thirty-three of all the 37 species examined had starchy pollen. Starch was not found in only four species and lipid was not found in only one species; among the four tribes in subfamily Zingiberoideae, all species of Zingibereae and Globbeae had pollen with no starch, Alpineae and Hedychieae had pollen with and without starch, whereas, all species of subfamily Costoideae had starchy pollen with abundant lipids. The mean pollen : ovule ratios in the members of the Zingiberaceae investigated range from 3.25 +/- 1.56 to 616.52 +/- 117.83. CONCLUSIONS: The pollen nutrition types seemed not related to mating systems. The pollen : ovule ratios in members of the Zingiberaceae with the same breeding system are noticeably lower than those recorded by previous authors. The lower pollen : ovule ratios in this family are presumed to be related to the highly efficient pollination systems, mediated by pollen which can be quite glutinous and the relatively large stigma area. In most of the Alpinia species the anaflexistylous flowers have much larger numbers of pollen grains and higher pollen : ovule ratios than the cataflexistylous flowers. There are significant differences in mean pollen grain numbers and pollen : ovule ratios between different life forms but ovule numbers are approximately the same.  相似文献

Abstract

Pollen grain viability and starch presence in pollen were followed during the long blooming period (May-November) of Parietaria judaica, the most widespread pellitory in Italy, responsible for many cases of allergic diseases. Observations were carried out near Siena (Tuscany), in the years 1978 and 1979.

Viability is high in late spring and early autumn, and pollen grains are starchy. The presence of starchless grains is always related to low viability: a production of pollen with a low viability occurs at the beginning and end of blooming, and also in summer, during drought periods. Pollen grain viability varies widely during the blooming period, and its variations are correlated to meteorological conditions, mainly rainfall and temperature.

Allergic diseases due to pellitory, however, are mainly reported between April and July, and on the other hand a small amount of patients states that they suffer all the year round. The discrepancies between the periods of viable pollen production and of declared symptoms by patients, are discussed.  相似文献

The pollen-pistil interaction has been examined in kiwifruit (Actinidia deliciosa). In this species a large number of seeds are produced in each fruit and a great many pollen grains germinate and grow to reach the ovules. This growth is assisted by an abundant secretion that is present all along the pistilar tract. At anthesis, the stigma is covered by a secretion where the pollen grains germinate and grow. The stylar transmitting tissue is initially rich in starch reserves, but the starch gradually disappears and, concomitantly, an abundant secretion that stains for carbohydrates appears in all of the intercellular spaces. Pollen tube growth relies on this secretion since it is depleted after pollen tube passage, while in unpollinated flowers it remains unaltered throughout the flower life-span. In the ovary a similar situation occurs. The placental surface, where the pollen tubes grow before reaching the ovules, is covered by a number of obturators. At anthesis, these obturators are rich in starch reserves and have an abundant secretion on their outer surface. As time passes, starch disappears while the secretion increases. It is in this secretion that the pollen tubes grow on their way toward the ovules. These observations are discussed in terms of the support given by the pistil to pollen tube growth to achieve the highly successful reproductive performance of this species.  相似文献

Plant–plant interspecific competition via pollinators occurs when the flowering seasons of two or more plant species overlap and the pollinator fauna is shared. Negative sexual interactions between species (reproductive interference) through improper heterospecific pollen transfer have recently been reported between native and invasive species demonstrating pollination‐driven competition. We focused on two native Impatiens species (I. noli‐tangere and I. textori) found in Japan and examined whether pollinator‐mediated plant competition occurs between them. We demonstrate that I. noli‐tangere and I. textori share the same pollination niche (i.e., flowering season, pollinator fauna, and position of pollen on the pollinator's body). In addition, heterospecific pollen grains were deposited on most stigmas of both I. noli‐tangere and I. textori flowers that were situated within 2 m of flowers of the other species resulting in depressed fruit set. Further, by hand‐pollination experiments, we show that when as few as 10% of the pollen grains are heterospecific, fruit set is decreased to less than half in both species. These results show that intensive pollinator‐mediated competition occurs between I. noli‐tangere and I. textori. This study suggests that intensive pollinator‐mediated competition occurs in the wild even when interacting species are both native and not invasive.  相似文献

Low temperatures during rice (Oryza sativa L.) pollen development cause pollen sterility and decreased grain yield. We show that the time of highest sensitivity to cold coincides with the time of peak tapetal activity: the transition of the tetrad to early uni-nucleate stage (young microspore, YM stage). Low temperatures at this stage of pollen development result in an accumulation of sucrose in the anthers, accompanied by decreased activity of cell wall bound acid invertase and depletion of starch in mature pollen grains. Expression analysis of two cell wall (OSINV1, 4) and one vacuolar (OSINV2) acid invertase genes showed that OSINV4 is anther-specific and down-regulated by cold treatment. OSINV4 is transiently expressed in the tapetum cell layer at the YM stage, and later from the early binucleate stage in the maturing microspores. The down-regulation of OSINV4 expression in the tapetum at YM may cause a disruption in hexose production and starch formation in the pollen grains. In a cold-tolerant cultivar, OSINV4 expression was not reduced by cold; sucrose did not accumulate in the anthers and starch formation in the pollen grains was not affected.  相似文献

  • Pollen‐pistil interactions are a fundamental process in the reproductive biology of angiosperms and play a particularly important role in maintaining incipient species that exist in sympatry. However, the majority of previous studies have focused on species with syncarpous gynoecia (fused carpels) and not those with apocarpous gynoecia (unfused carpels).
  • In the present study, we investigated the growth of conspecific pollen tubes compared to heterospecific pollen tubes in Sagittaria species, which have apocarpous gynoecia. We conducted controlled pollinations between S. pygmaea and S. trifolia and observed the growth of conspecific and heterospecific pollen tubes under a fluorescence microscope.
  • Heterospecific and conspecific pollen tubes arrived at locules within the ovaries near simultaneously. However, conspecific pollen tubes entered into the ovules directly, whereas heterospecific tubes passed through the carpel base and adjacent receptacle tissue, to ultimately fertilize other unfertilized ovules. This longer route taken by heterospecific pollen tubes therefore caused a delay in the time required to enter into the ovules. Furthermore, heterospecific pollen tubes displayed similar growth patterns at early and peak pollination. The growth pattern of heterospecific pollen tubes at late pollination was similar to that of conspecific pollen tubes at peak pollination.
  • Heterospecific and conspecific pollen tubes took different routes to fertilize ovules. A delayed entry of heterospecific pollen into ovules may be a novel mechanism of conspecific pollen advantage (CPA) for apocarpous species.

Using the monoclonal antibodies JIM 5 and 7, pectin was immunolocalized and quantitatively assayed in three anther compartments of Lilium hybrida during pollen development. Pectin levels in both the anther wall and the loculus increased following meiosis, were maximal during the early microspore stages and declined during the remainder of pollen ontogenesis. In the microspores/pollen grains, pectin was detectable at low levels during the microspore stages but accumulated significantly during pollen maturation. During early microspore vacuolation, esterified pectin epitopes were detected both in the tapetum cytoplasm and vacuoles. In the anther loculus, the same epitopes were located simultaneously in undulations of the plasma membrane and in the locular fluid. At the end of microspore vacuolation, esterified pectin epitopes were present within the lipids of the pollenkitt, and released in the loculus at pollen mitosis. Unesterified pectin epitopes were hardly detectable in the cytoplasm of the young microspore but were as abundant in the primexine matrix as in the loculus. During pollen maturation, both unesterified and esterified pectin labelling accumulated in the cytoplasm of the vegetative cell, concurrently with starch degradation. In the mature pollen grain, unesterified pectin epitopes were located in the proximal intine whereas esterified pectin epitopes were deposited in the distal intine. These data suggest that during early microspore development, the tapetum secretes pectin, which is transferred to the primexine matrix via the locular fluid. Pollen grains of 990 species were examined and measured to test four predictions: (1) “Primitive” angiosperms will have starch-containing pollen; more advanced families will have starchless pollen. (2) Where Hymenoptera and Diptera use pollen nutritionally, there will be selection of starchless (oilcontaining) pollen, particularly where pollen is the only reward for visitors. (3) Conversely, in autogamous species, anemophilous species, and those pollinated by Lepidoptera or birds, the energetically more economical accumulation of starch will be seen. (4) Small pollen grains will be more likely to be starchless (oil-rich); starch-containing grains will tend to be larger. Prediction 1 is only partially supported by the results; contemporary representatives of primitive families often show starchless grains, and so do most “advanced” families. Strong intra-familial resemblances are found (and some between groups of families), but other families show mixtures of “starchy” and “starchless” species. The latter are more likely to show a fit between food reserve and pollination system. Prediction 2 is well supported. Prediction 3 is supported in that autogamous and anemophilous species show relatively high proportions of starchy grains, but the picture is complicated for them by apparent selection for starchlessness (oil-richness) in small pollen grains (prediction 4), and for the lepidopteran- and bird-pollinated species by selection for large starchless (or very large starchy grains) in species whose pollen tubes must traverse long styles.  相似文献

Summary We studied bumblebee foraging on two sympatrically and simultaneously flowering species, Melampyrum pratense (Scrophulariaceae) and Viscaria vulgaris (Caryophyllaceae) during the flowering season of Viscaria in south-west Sweden. We distinguished between healthy and Ustilago-infected Viscaria plants. Both species shared the main insect visitor, queens of Bombus hortorum, which collected nectar from both species but pollen from Melampyrum only. The pattern of visitation changed over the season: bumblebees preferred Viscaria early on, but changed to Melampyrum later in the season, probably because of the higher sugar content of Melampyrum nectar and the possibility of collecting both nectar and pollen from the same flower. Pollen collecting is probably of increasing importance since the need of pollen for the developing larvae will increase with time. Flowers of Viscaria received fewer visits in plots with other species than in pure Viscaria plots during one year and received more visits early than late in the season during both years. Melampyrum flowers received similar amounts of visits in mixed and pure environments. They also received more visits early than late, although this was probably a result of pollinator satiation since Melampyrum became very abundant with time. Ustilago-infected plants received far fewer visits but because of its long flowering time the proportion of open flowers receiving visits was still high. Viscaria flowers received significantly more visits than flowers of other species when bumblebees made heterospecific flower visits from Ustilago-infected plants; thus Ustilago spores were probably effectively dispersed from infected to healthy plants by the pollinators. The mechanism behind competition for pollination in this system was competition through pollinator preference, since the visitation rate to Viscaria actually decreased, but also competition through improper pollen transfer (grains of both species were found on the bodies of bumblebees) since the incidence of switching between the two species increased, probably resulting in an increased misplacement of conspecific pollen grains with time.  相似文献

Background and Aims

Insufficient pollination is a function of quantity and quality of pollen receipt, and the relative contribution of each to pollen limitation may vary with intrinsic plant traits and extrinsic ecological properties. Community-level studies are essential to evaluate variation across species in quality limitation under common ecological conditions. This study examined whether endemic species are more limited by pollen quantity or quality than non-endemic co-flowering species in three endemic-rich plant communities located in biodiversity hotspots of different continents (Andalusia, California and Yucatan).

Methods

Natural variations in pollen receipt and pollen tube formation were analysed for 20 insect-pollinated plants. Endemic and non-endemic species that co-flowered were paired in order to estimate and compare the quantity and quality components of pre-zygotic pollination success, obtained through piecewise regression analysis of the relationship between pollen grains and pollen tubes of naturally pollinated wilted flowers.

Key Results

Pollen tubes did not frequently exceed the number of ovules per flower. Only the combination of abundant and good quality pollen and a low number of ovules per flower conferred relief from pre-zygotic pollen limitation in the three stochastic pollination environments studied. Quality of pollen receipt was found to be as variable as quantity among study species. The relative pollination success of endemic and non-endemic species, and its quantity and quality components, was community dependent.

Conclusions

Assessing both quality and quantity of pollen receipt is key to determining the ovule fertilization potential of both endemic and widespread plants in biodiverse hotspot regions. Large natural variation among flowers of the same species in the two components and pollen tube formation deserves further analysis in order to estimate the environmental, phenotypic and intraindividual sources of variation that may affect how plants evolve to overcome this limitation in different communities worldwide.  相似文献

Data on pollen and pistil traits from 14 Argentinean Nyctaginaceae species with starch or lipids as pollen reserves are presented. We expect differences in the traits between these two groups of species, but the same pattern within each group for (a) the relationship between pollen size and pistil length assuming that pollen tube length is predetermined by provisions in the pollen independently of the pollen reserve type, and for (b) a trade-off between size and number because available resources for male function are not unlimited. In particular we expect that (a) species with longer pistils will have larger pollen grains, (b) pollen grain size and the number of pollen grains per flower will be negatively correlated. Significant differences in the mean pollen number per flower and mean pollen size were observed between species with different pollen reserve type but not for pistil length. Then, correlation analyses were performed for species with starchy pollen or with pollen with lipids separately. Pollen size - pistil length correlation was positive and significant for species with starchy pollen but not for species with pollen with lipids. On the other hand, pollen size - number correlation was not significant for both starchy and oil-rich species. Results suggest that pollen reserve type would be a relevant factor that constraint pollen size in species of Nyctaginaceae, and that this pollen trait should be considered when studying pollen-pistil relationships, mainly between species of those families with mixed pollen reserves.  相似文献

Summary Fruiting and seed set in two bumblebee-pollinated herbs, Melampyrum pratense L. (annual, Scrophulariaceae) and Viscaria vulgaris Bernh. (perennial, Caryophyllaceae) were studied on a dry meadow in southwestern Sweden in June 1986 and 1988. Both species produced seeds by self-fertilization. In Melampyrum (homogamous) fruiting and seed set by selfing were much lower than by natural pollination; in Viscaria (protandrous) fruiting by selfing and by natural polination were similar, but seed set per flower was lower by selfing than by natural pollination. Sequential hand pollinations increased seed set in Melampyrum, but not in Viscaria. Thus, the number of pollinations is important for high seed set in Melampyrum, and number of pollen grains deposited one pollination is important for high seed set in Viscaria. Late flowering resulted in the production of fewer seeds in both species, although the visitation rate in pure Viscaria stands was sufficient, because of limited resources. Pollen was the limiting resource in Viscaria, because hand pollination increased natural seed set. In Melampyrum pollen was limiting in 1988 but so were consumable resources, because the seedset decreased with time despite hand pollination. Pure stands of Viscaria had sced set similar to plants in mixed stands (with Melampyrum and Rhinanthus), although plants in mixed stands received fewer visits. Many seeds produced late in the season are the result of self pollination; emasculated Viscaria flowers had a very low seedset late in the season. Pollen loads containing approximately 50% heterospecific grains did not affect seed set in either species. Application of heterospecific (Lupinus) pollen to receptive Viscaria styles 6 h before conspecific pollen did not affect seed set.  相似文献

The critically endangered Synaphea stenoloba (Proteaceae) has numerous scentless flowers clustered in dense inflorescences and deploys a ballistic pollen ejection mechanism to release pollen. We examined the hypothesis that active pollen ejection and flowering patterns within an inflorescence influence the reproductive success (i.e. fruit formation) of individual flowers within or among inflorescences of S. stenoloba in a pollinator‐excluded environment. Our results showed that: (1) no pollen grains were observed deposited on the stigma of their own flower after the pollen ejection system was manually activated, indicating self‐pollination within an individual flower is improbable in S. stenoloba; (2) fruit set in the indoor open pollination treatment and the inflorescence‐closed pollination treatment indicated that S. stenoloba is self‐compatible and pollen ejection can potentially result in inter‐floral pollination success; (3) fruit set in the inflorescence‐closed pollination treatment was significantly lower than that of indoor open pollination, indicating within‐ and between‐flower pollination events in an inflorescence are most likely limited, with pollination between inflorescences providing the highest reproductive opportunity; and (4) analysis of the spatial distribution of cumulative fruit set on inflorescences showed that pollen could reach any flower within an inflorescence and there was no functional limitation on seed set among flowers located at various positions within the inflorescence. These data suggest that the pollen ejection mechanism in S. stenoloba can enhance inter‐plant pollination in pollinator‐excluded environments and may suggest adaptation to pollinator scarcity attributable to habitat disturbance or competition for pollinators in a diverse flora. © 2012 The Linnean Society of London, Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society, 2012, 170 , 59–68.  相似文献

Flowers on the ground of orchards can provide substantial resources for wild pollinators of orchard trees. Few studies, however, have examined the relative importance of groundcover flowers to orchard pollination by analyzing pollen on the body surface of pollinators. Oriental persimmon trees bloom within the longer blooming period of white clover, which is occasionally found as a flowering plant on the ground of persimmon orchards in Japan. The present study compared the insect species assemblage collected on persimmon flowers with that on clover. Before persimmon bloomed, Bombus ardens ardens and Apis cerana japonica were the major visitors of clover flowers. Once persimmon bloomed, the former was the most abundant bee that visited persimmon flowers over the flowering period. Apis mellifera was captured only on clover flowers. We found numerous clover pollen grains on the body surface of bumblebees captured on persimmon flowers, but far fewer persimmon pollen grains on bees that visited clover. These findings show that B. ardens ardens utilized the clover flowers under the orchards before persimmon bloomed.  相似文献

The pollination mechanism of most genera of the Podocarpaceae involves inverted ovules, a pollination drop and bisaccate pollen grains. Saccate grains have sometimes been referred to as 'non-wettable' due to their buoyant properties, while non-saccate pollen grains have been described as 'wettable'. The hydrodynamic properties of saccate pollen grains of seven podocarp species in five genera, Dacrydium Sol. ex G. Forst., Dacrycarpus (Endl.) de Laub., Manoao Molloy, Podocarpus L'Hér. ex Pers. and Prumnopitys Phil. have been tested in water, together with saccate and non-saccate pollen of four other conifer genera, Cedrus Trew (Pinaceae), Cephalotaxus Siebold & Zucc. ex Endl. (Cephalotaxaceae), Cupressus L. (Cupressaceae) and Phyllocladus Rich. ex Mirb. (Phyllocladaceae), and spores of three fern species and one lycopod species. All four spore types studied were non-wettable, whereas the bisaccate and trisaccate pollen types, like all other conifer pollen types, were wettable, enabling the grains to cross the surface tension barrier of water. Once past this barrier, grain behaviour was governed by presence or absence of sacci. Non-saccate and vestigially saccate grains sank, whereas saccate grains behaved like air bubbles, floating up to the highest point. In addition, the grains were observed to float in water with sacci uppermost, consistent with the suggestion that distally placed sacci serve to orientate the germinal furrow of the pollen grain towards the nucellus of an inverted ovule. Observations of pollen grains in the pollen chambers of naturally pollinated Prumnopitvs ovules confirmed this. The combination of buoyancy and wettability in saccate pollen has implications for the efficiency of the typical podocarp pollination mechanism.  相似文献

Summary The widespread occurrence of nonorchid, heterospecific pollen grains on the stigmatic surfaces of a range of nectariferous and nectarless European orchids (Dactylorhiza. Orchis, Goodyera, andGymnadenia species) is reported for the first time, and the impact of heterospecific pollination on orchid reproductive success is experimentally investigated. There are three main components of stigmatic contamination by heterospecific pollen: the frequency of contamination, the diversity of foreign species present on the stigma, and the amount of pollen deposited. Six out of seven of the species examined have greater than 85% of stigmas contaminated with wind and insect-dispersed pollen. From one to nine insect-dispersed foreign pollen species are present per stigma, including pollen of members of the families Apiaceae, Asteraceae, Caryohpyllaceae, Ericaceae, and Primulaceae. Average loads per stigma vary from 13 to 176 grains, with individual stigma loads ranging from one to 909. Whether or not the orchid provides nectar has a major impact on these three components. Nectarless orchids have the greatest frequencies of contamination, diversity of species, and average load per stigma. Insect-dispersed pollen is deposited both by pollinators and visitors but, in spite of low levels of pollination, nectarless orchids still exhibit higher frequencies of heterospecific pollen contamination. The effect of the presence of heterospecific pollen on the reproductive success of orchids is tested in this study for the first time. Average-to-high, naturally occurring loads of heterospecific pollen derived from a mixture ofArmeria maritima,Caltha palustris,Cochlearia officinalis,Cytisus scoparius, andPrimula vulgaris and consisting of 50–250 grains per load are placed onto stigmas ofDactylorhiza purpurella which are subsequently self-pollinated with half of a pollinium. All pollinations produce capsules indicating that heterospecific pollen does not affect fruit set. Although experimental and control fruits are similar in size, they differ in total seed weight and composition. Total seed weight is reduced and the proportion of seeds with normal embryos decreased while the proportion of unfertilised ovules increased following pollination with heterospecific pollen, indicating a detrimental effect on fertilisation. Lower reproductive success caused by fertilisation failure is likely to be most severe in nectarless species because of their generally higher levels of contaminated stigmas. As nectarless orchids are known to have lower fruit set compared with nectariferous ones, this finding suggests that the reproductive success of nectarless orchids may be even lower than previously realised.Abbreviations RS reproductive success  相似文献

Camellia pubipetala is an endemic and endangered species with small and isolated populations occurring only in karst regions in Guangxi of south China. To understand the reproductive biology of C. pubipetala and its possible influences upon its endangered status, its breeding system and pollination ecology were studied in the Longhushan (LHS) and Longzhao (LZ) populations of this species. The flowering duration of the C. pubipetala populations spanned from late January to early April and anthesis of a single flower usually lasted 5–7 days. This species is homogamous, and the pollen and stigma are viable throughout anthesis. Each bagged flower could secrete 141.5 μL of nectar at a sugar concentration of 25.0% during anthesis. The observed high pollen/ovule ratio, and the results of hand-pollination experiments indicated that this species obligately outcrosses. Open pollination resulted in a significantly decreased fruit set (6.7%) and seed set (38.9%) compared to supplementary pollination treatment (23.3% and 64.7%, respectively), which is indicative of a pollen limitation in the process of pollination. The primary pollinator of C. pubipetala is the sunbird Aethopyga christinae and its visiting frequency is quite low, whereas the honeybee Apis cerana is only an occasional pollinator in wild populations. Low reproductive rates in C. pubipetala were found to be a consequence of few species of pollinators and their low visiting frequency. Pollen limitation may be a crucial factor that contributes to the endangered nature of this species. Artificial pollination and the release of pollinators are effective ways to increase the fruit and seed yield of this species.  相似文献

以不同发育时期的凤仙花花药为实验材料,采用组织化学方法,对花药发育中的结构变化及多糖和脂滴物质分布进行观察。结果表明:(1)凤仙花的花药壁由6层细胞组成,包括1层表皮细胞,2层药室内壁细胞,2层中层细胞和1层绒毡层细胞。其中绒毡层细胞的形态不明显,很难与造孢细胞区分,且在小孢子母细胞时期退化。(2)在小孢子母细胞中出现了一些淀粉粒,但减数分裂后,早期小孢子中的淀粉粒消失,又出现了一些小的脂滴;随着花粉的发育,小孢子形成大液泡,晚期小孢子中的脂滴也消失;小孢子分裂形成二胞花粉后,营养细胞中的大液泡降解、消失,二胞花粉中又开始积累淀粉;接近开花时,成熟花粉中充满细胞质,其中包含了较多的淀粉粒和脂滴。(3)在凤仙花的花药发育中,绒毡层细胞很早退化,为小孢子母细胞和四分体小孢子提供了营养物质;其后的中层细胞退化则为后期花粉发育提供了营养物质。  相似文献
