白蚁属于等翅目昆虫,共有7科2 750种,这是昆虫纲中唯一的一个目,其所有的种类都靠消化道内共生的鞭毛类、原生动物利用和消化纤维素。介绍了白蚁社会组织和社会存为的特点,比较了白蚁与蚂蚁的异同,并指出两者相似是由于趋同进化,而两者不同是由于亲缘关系相距甚远,各来自不同祖先。  相似文献

白蚁的蚁客     
<正> 白蚁是一类多型的、营社会生活的昆虫。白蚁巢内部常能发现许多蚁客(Termitophiles)。较低等的、蚁巢结构较简单的白蚁,其蚁客的种类和数量较少;而高等的、蚁巢结构复杂、特别是具有菌圃的蚁巢,其中蚁客的种类和数量也较多。 作者近年来(1975—1979)在浙江有关地区白蚁防治单位的协助下,自尖叉原白蚁、黑胸散白蚁、家白蚁、屏南象白蚁、黑翅土白蚁及黄翅大白蚁等6种蚁巢内,采集到30多种蚁客。经初步鉴定,它们隶属于节肢动物门中3个纲、9个目、16个科。其中以昆虫纲的种类最为丰  相似文献

自从1978年E.B. Lewis描述了著名的果蝇双胸突变体(bithorax)以来,大量的比较发育遗传学研究为我们揭示了形态进化的遗传基础,从而使形态进化研究进入了一个新的时代。同时,Hox基因的研究也成为这一领域的焦点。本文综述了昆虫翅的起源及其特化类群翅的发育遗传学研究的最新进展。一般认为,原始的有翅昆虫胸腹部多附肢(包括翅); 之后不同的体节受到了不同Hox的抑制,形成两对翅以及前后翅的分化; Ubx的不同表达导致了前后翅的分化,并且Ubx负责识别后翅。我们选择翅特化最为显著的3个类群——鞘翅目(T2鞘翅)、双翅目(T3平衡棒)和捻翅目(T2平衡棒),结合Hox的表达情况讨论了翅的特化机理。目前已知双翅目和鞘翅目的翅的控制模式存在巨大差异,两种模式的比较研究对于理解翅的形态进化具有重要的意义。但是对捻翅目昆虫的研究则很少。  相似文献

白蚁Termite是属于古老而又原始的一类昆虫。从许多生活习性和形态特征证明,等翅目Isoptera——白蚁与蜚蠊目Blattariae昆虫的亲缘关系十分接近,特别与隐尾蠊科Cryptocercidae的某些类群有着更为密切的关系。它们同以木材纤维为食,并且都是借助于体内共生的细菌和原生动物消化木纤维。当地球上高大乔木出现之后,就已经为这类蛀木昆虫的生存提供必要的生活条件。石炭纪Carboniferous是蜚蠊目昆虫最为繁盛的地质时期(林启彬,1978),为此,白蚁在地质历史上有可能与蜚蠊同时期,或接近  相似文献

【目的】通过黑翅土白蚁Odontotermes fomosanus(Shiraki)幼蚁、工蚁、兵蚁触角感器种类、数量及分布的研究,分析不同龄幼蚁、工蚁和兵蚁的触角感器特征,为进一步研究触角感器发育特点及不同个体的行为分化机制提供参考。【方法】通过扫描电镜观察触角形态,分析触角节数、感器种类、数量及分布特征。【结果】工蚁、兵蚁、幼蚁个体触角长度差异显著,触角长度顺序:工蚁>兵蚁>3龄幼蚁>2龄幼蚁>1龄幼蚁;触角感器共有9种类型,分别为短毛形感器、长毛形感器、短刺形感器、长刺形感器、锥状B?hm氏鬃毛、球状钟形感器、刺突状钟形感器、球状钟形感器与刺突状钟形感器中间型、长刺具泡状感器。工蚁、兵蚁缺少长刺具泡状感器。幼蚁触角感器种类和数量随龄数而增加,1龄幼蚁具7种感器,缺少球状钟形感器和球状钟形感器与刺突状钟形感器中间型2种类型;2龄幼蚁具有8种感器,缺球状钟形感器;3龄幼蚁具有全部9种类型感器。【结论】黑翅土白蚁幼蚁、工蚁、兵蚁触角节数和感器显著差异,可作为幼蚁龄数以及非生殖品级判别的形态指标,应用于白蚁非生殖品级行为多型等相关研究。  相似文献

白蚁是多形态昆虫,一般每一家族可分为两大类型:生殖类型(繁殖蚁)和非生殖类型(不育蚁)。在两大类型中,一般又可分化为若干品级;非生殖类型中有工蚁和兵蚁等品级。对品级分化、生成及调节,近年来已做了很多工作。总的说来,白蚁品级分化不能单用遗传来解释。因为新孵化的幼蚁(若蚁)可以分化为各个品级的成员。多种因素,例如外激素及激素(内分泌)在品级分化上起到重要作用。  相似文献

【目的】研究黑胸散白蚁Reticulitermes chinensis Snyder形态分类特征显著差异性。【方法】利用SPSS19.0对黑胸散白蚁兵蚁和成虫不同的量度特征进行差异单因素分析(ANOVA)、多重比较Duncan’s(P0.05)和主成分分析。【结果】兵蚁头长至上颚端、头阔指数、前胸背板中区毛、前胸背板长、后颏狭、后颏宽、右触角最短节数、左触角节数和右触角节数9个指标在6个不同群体间变异较小,具有相对稳定性;成虫前翅宽、单复眼间距、复眼距头下缘、左触角最短节数、右触角节数、头长至上颚端和前Cu脉分支数7个指标在6个不同群体间变异较小,具有相对稳定性;显著性分析结果显示主成分分析选出的兵蚁的9个指标和成虫的6个指标在不同群体间存在显著性差异;不同种类白蚁的特征值测量指标亦存在一定程度重叠区。【结论】白蚁形态分类鉴定最好结合兵蚁和成虫的多个形态指标进行判断;种内形态指标的差异显著性及种间形态指标存在重叠,容易导致白蚁同物异名;白蚁形态分类学需要将形态分类学方法和现代分子生物学技术等多种技术有机结合。  相似文献

【目的】白蚁具有降解木质纤维素的能力,主要场所在消化道内,因此消化道形态结构的研究具有重要意义。【方法】本文对采自河南省的3种白蚁(平额散白蚁Reticulitermes planifrons Li et Ping、湖南散白蚁Reticulitermes hunanensis Tsai et Peng和双工土白蚁Odontotermes dimorphus Li et Xiao的兵蚁和工蚁头胸部特征及其消化道结构进行了比较。【结果】两种散白蚁兵蚁的头壳、后颏和上颚没有明显差异,但与双工土白蚁差异显著。3种白蚁工蚁的前肠、后肠及消化道平均长度均大于兵蚁,且差异显著(P<0.05),而中肠的差异不显著;双工土白蚁的肠道总长度工蚁/兵蚁比值(1.4倍)大于两种散白蚁(1.1倍);除了嗉囊和囊形胃外,两种散白蚁工蚁的其余消化道各段差异显著(P<0.05),与双工土白蚁相比差异也显著。【结论】工蚁的消化道比兵蚁发达,散白蚁的消化道结构与土白蚁有较大不同,这些结果与工蚁和兵蚁的社会分工有关,同时也表明高等白蚁与低等白蚁相比不仅是采食习惯的差别,自身消化系统结构与分区也有较大不同,并为白蚁的生物防治和生物质资源利用提供了资料。  相似文献

细胞程序性死亡(programmed cell death,PCD)一直被看做是细胞凋亡(apoptosis).随着细胞生物学研究的深入,新的细胞死亡途径逐渐被揭示出来,如胀亡、自噬、副凋亡等.这些通路有些是caspase依赖的,有些不依赖于caspase途径.在细胞程序性死亡过程中,各种通路不是单独起作用的,而是相互交联的,有彼此重叠的机制出现.目前,Clarke形态学分类法是得到大多数学者认可的细胞程序性死亡的分类方式.按照该分类法,可将PCD分为3大类,即:Ⅰ型细胞程序性死亡、Ⅱ型细胞程序性死亡和Ⅲ型细胞程序性死亡.  相似文献

Using a powerful expression cloning method in COS cells, we have cloned the TGF-beta types II and III receptors. The type III TGF-beta receptor is a membrane-bound proteoglycan with a core protein of about 110 kDa. Stable expression of the type III receptor in L6 myoblasts leads to an apparent increase in the ability of the type II receptor to bind iodinated TGF-beta 1. The cloned type II receptor has a predicted protein core of about 60 kDa with a cysteine-rich extracellular domain, a single transmembrane domain, and a functional serine/threonine kinase domain that is homologous to the activin receptor and to the C. elegans protein daf-1. These results implicate serine/threonine phosphorylation as an important mechanism of TGF-beta action.  相似文献

Many gram-negative bacteria produce thin protein filaments, named pili, which extend beyond the confines of the outer membrane. The importance of these pili is illustrated by the fact that highly complex, multi-protein pilus-assembly machines have evolved, not once, but several times. Their many functions include motility, adhesion, secretion, and DNA transfer, all of which can contribute to the virulence of bacterial pathogens or to the spread of virulence factors by horizontal gene transfer. The medical importance has stimulated extensive biochemical and genetic studies but the assembly and function of pili remains an enigma. It is clear that progress in this field requires a more holistic approach where the entire molecular apparatus that forms the pilus is studied as a system. In recent years systems biology approaches have started to complement classical studies of pili and their assembly. Moreover, continued progress in structural biology is building a picture of the components that make up the assembly machine. However, the complexity and multiple-membrane spanning nature of these secretion systems pose formidable technical challenges, and it will require a concerted effort before we can create comprehensive and predictive models of these remarkable molecular machines.  相似文献

The dogma that gray wolf (Canis lupus) population densities in naturally occurring systems are limited almost solely by available ungulate biomass is based upon studies that fit straight line linear regressions (Type 1 numerical response) to data collected at 32 sites across North America. We fit Type 1, 2, and 3 response functions to the data using linear and nonlinear regression as appropriate and found that the evidence supported wolf population regulation by density-dependence as much as limitation by prey availability. When we excluded 4 of 32 points from the original data set because those points represented exploited or expanding wolf populations the data suggested that wolf populations are self regulated rather than limited by prey biomass by at least a 3:1 margin. In establishing goals for sustainable wolf population levels, managers of wolf reintroductions and species recovery efforts should account for the possibility that some regulatory mechanism plays an important role in wolf population dynamics. © 2011 The Wildlife Society.  相似文献

In the environmental health literature, errors in interpreting studies or data are not infrequent. Many are of the Type II variety. Common solecisms of this type are: treating the criterion of p < 0.05 as a sacrament; demanding complete confounder control; arguing for the existence of phantom confounders; arguing that the effect size is trivial; building nonveridical models; arguing for no effect from inadequate sample size; demanding causal proof; arguing that causality is reversed; conducting a ballot of published studies. Molecular mechanisms controlling the assembly of cartilage-specific types II, IX and XI collagens into a heteropolymeric network of uniformly thin, unbanded fibrils are not well understood, but collagen XI has been implicated. The present study on cartilage from the homozygous chondrodysplasia (cho/cho) mouse adds support to this concept. In the absence of alpha1(XI) collagen chains, thick, banded collagen fibrils are formed in the extracellular matrix of cho/cho cartilage. A functional knock-out of the type XI collagen molecule has been assumed. We have re-examined this at the protein level to see if, rather than a complete knock-out, alternative type XI chain assemblies were formed. Mass spectrometry of purified triple-helical collagen from the rib cartilage of cho/cho mice identified alpha1(V) and alpha2(XI) chains. These chains were recovered in roughly equal amounts based on Coomassie Blue staining of SDS-PAGE gels, in addition to alpha1(II)/alpha3(XI) collagen chains. Using telopeptide-specific antibodies and Western blot analysis, it was further shown that type V/XI trimers were present in the matrix cross-linked to each other and to type II collagen molecules to form heteropolymers. Cartilage from heterozygous (cho/+) mice contained a mix of alpha1(V) and alpha1(XI) chains and a mix of thin and thick fibrils on transmission electron microscopy. In summary, the results imply that native type XI collagen molecules containing an alpha1(XI) chain are required to form uniformly thin fibrils and support a role for type XI collagen as the template for the characteristic type II collagen fibril network of developing cartilage.  相似文献

Extracellular matrix components play an important role in modulating cellular activity. To study such capacities of the matrix, fibroblasts are frequently cultured in a three-dimensional gel and contraction is assessed as a measure of cellular activity. Since a connective tissue contains several types of collagen, we investigated the effect of gels composed of collagen I alone or in combination with 10% collagen III and/or 5% collagen V on contraction by human periodontal ligament fibroblasts. Gels containing collagen V contracted much faster than those without this type of collagen. Blocking of the integrin beta1-subunit with an activity-blocking antibody delayed (gels with collagen V) or almost completely blocked (gels without collagen V) contraction. Use of an antibody directed against integrin alpha2beta1 resulted in delay of gel contraction for gels both with and without collagen V. Anti-integrin alpha v beta3 or RGD peptides partially blocked contraction of gels containing collagen V, but had no effect on gels consisting of collagen I alone. The beta1-containing integrins are involved in the basal contraction by fibroblasts that bind to collagens I and III. The enhanced contraction, stimulated by collagen V, appears to be mediated by integrin alpha v beta3. We conclude that collagen V may play an important modulating role in connective tissue contraction. Such a modulation may occur during the initial stages of wound healing and/or tissue regeneration.  相似文献

自提出三型分泌系统的概念以来,相关分子机制的研究让人们对其有了更深入的了解。与依赖信号肽分泌途径形成鲜明对比的是,蛋白通过细菌三型分泌系统分泌或者转运时没有可识别的保守信号序列。近期对三型分泌蛋白的研究发现了多种可以引导其分泌的分泌信号。本文分别介绍了细菌三型分泌系统的种类,分泌系统分泌蛋白的种类,并着重阐述了分泌信号的分子特性及其机制,以期为新型抗菌药物的研发提供新的思路。  相似文献
