Revision of the Chinese species of the genus Coenochilus Schaum (Coleoptera,Scarabaeidae, Cetoniinae)

Summary

The Chinese species of the genus Coenochilus Schaum, 1841 are revised, including a new species, C. pilosus n. sp. described from southern China (also from Vietnam and Laos). The lectotype for Coenochilus uncinatipes Moser, 1915 is designated, and this name is recognized as a junior synonym of C. bifoveolatus Fairmaire, 1888. Previously published synonymy of Coenochilus apicalis Westwood, 1873 and C. armiger Westwood, 1873 is confirmed based on the examination of type specimens. The neotype of C. tonkinensis Moser, 1910 is designated, and C. clinteroceroides Jákl, 2015 is synonymized with this species. Coenochilus tonkinensis is newly recorded from China, while Chinese records of C. nitidus Arrow, 1910 are verified as misidentification of C. striatus Westwood, 1873, thus C. nitidus is removed from the Chinese fauna. Diagnoses and illustrations are provided for all five Chinese species. A key to Chinese species and new distribution records are also presented.??     

First record of the tribe Trigonoderini (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae) from South Korea with descriptions of two new species

The tribe Trigonoderini (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae) contains six genera (Gastracanthus Westwood, Janssoniella Kerrich, Miscogasteriella Girault, Platygerrhus Thomson, Plutothrix Förster and Trigonoderus Westwood). This tribe is recorded from South Korea for the first time. Two new species, Janssoniella albiclava Tselikh & Lee sp. nov. from South Korea and J. magna Tselikh & Lee sp. nov. from South Korea and the South Far East of Russia, are described. Eight species (Gastracanthus acutus (Kamijo), G. nigrescens Kamijo, Janssoniella intermedia Hedqvist, Miscogasteriella sulcate (Kamijo), Plutothrix scrobicula Kamijo, P. trifasciata (Thomson), Trigonoderus fraxini Yang and T. nigrocephalus Kamijo) are recorded from South Korea for the first time. The keys for identification of the Eastern–Palearctic species of Janssoniella and Gastracanthus are given and photos of diagnostic characters of the new species are provided.     

A STUDY ON MINDARUS KOCH IN CHINA WITH DESCRIPTIONS OF NEW SPECIES AND NEW SUBSPECIES (HOMOPTERA: MIN-DARIDAE)*

Abstract This paper deals with the genus Mindam Koch from China. The phylogeny of the genus is discussed. M. keteleerifoliae is regarded as the most advanced species, M. obliquus and M. piceasuc-tus are more advanced than M. abietinus, M. japonicus and M. victoria. The origin centre of the genus may be in Europe and the differentiation centre of the genus may be in Hengduan Mountains Region of China. Geological distribution of the genus shows island-shaped pattern. Five species from China was described in this paper, including one new species, M. piceasuctus Zhang and Qiao, one new subspecies, M. abietinus triprimesensori Zhang and Qiao and one newly recorded species, M. abietinus abietinus Koch 1856. A key to the Chinese species of Mindarus is given. The specimens of five species from China are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Academia Sinica.     

On the Genus Trypeticus Marseul (Coleoptera: Histeridae: Trypeticinae) in China

This paper describes two new species, Trypeticus fissirostrum n. sp. from Hainan and Trypeticus yunnanensis n. sp. from Yunnan Provinces, China. Three Trypeticus species having been recorded in the territory of China before this study, their total number in this country has now increased to five. A key to the Chinese species is compiled and given in the text. The type specimens are deposited in Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.     

Species of the genus Ilythea from China (Diptera: Ephydridae)

The genus Ilythea Haliday is recorded from China for the first time. A new species, Ilythea menglaensis sp. nov., is described, and Ilythea japonica Miyagi is recorded. A key to the Chinese species of Ilythea is presented.     

A TAXONOMIC STUDY OF THE GENUS XYSTOPHORA (LEPIDOPTERA:GELECHIIDAE) FROM CHINA*

Abstract The present paper deals with species of the genus Xystophora Wocke from China. Four species are described as new to science: Xystophora ingentidentalis sp. nov., Xystophora chengchengensis sp. nov., Xystophora paroisaccula sp. nov. and Xystophora novipsammitella sp. nov. Xystophora carchariella (Zeller) is reported for the first time from China. The genitalia figures of the new species and key to all the known Chinese species are provided.     

A STUDY ON THE GENUS BRYOMYIA KIEFFER (DIPTERA: CECIDOMYHDAE) FROM CHINA*

Abstract Four Chinese species of genus Bryomyia Kieffer are recorded in the present paper, among which, one species: B. puberula Li et Bu is described as new to science; two species; B. bergrothi Kieffer and B. gibbosa (Felt) are recorded for the first time from China. Key to the known Chinese species of the genus is given. Type specimen is deposited in the Department of Biology, Nankai University, Tianjin, China.     

中国圆斑小卷蛾属名录及一新种记述（鳞翅目：卷蛾科：新小卷蛾亚科）

记述中国圆斑小卷蛾属Eudemopsis 昆虫10种,其中包括1新种:狭瓣圆斑小卷蛾E. angustivalvae sp. nov.。该新种的体型较小,前翅长仅4.0-4.5 mm,雄性外生殖器中抱器瓣狭长,毛刺稀疏,很容易与属内其他种区分。文中还给出了分种检索表、新种的形态特征图和生殖器图以及该属种类在中国的地理分布图。研究标本保存在南开大学昆虫标本室。     

Taxonomic review of Hemistola Warren, 1893 from China,with descriptions of seven new species (Lepidoptera: Geometridae,Geometrinae)

The genus Hemistola Warren from China is reviewed, and seven new species are described: H. viridimargo, sp. nov., H. glauca sp. nov., H. asymmetra sp. nov., H. arcilinea sp. nov., H. flavifimbria sp. nov., H. orbiculosoides sp. nov. and H. stueningi sp. nov. Two species, acyra and christinaria, are transferred from Hemistola to Maxates and Comostola, respectively: Maxates acyra comb. nov. and Comostola christinaria comb. nov. Including the 25 species previously known from China, a total of 32 species is now recorded. All Chinese species are redescribed. Generic characters based on all species are summarized. Illustrations of adults and genitalia are presented.     

A STUDY ON CHINESE SPECIES OF AULOGYMNUS FORSTER (HYMENOPTERA: EULOPHIDAE)*

Abstract This paper treats Chinese species of Aulogymnus Förster which is newly recorded from China. Four new species, A. elevatus sp. nov., A. hyalopterus sp. nov., A. insculptus sp. nov., and A. longicalcar sp. nov. are described. All type specimens are deposited in the Zoological Museum, Institute of Zoology. Chinese Academy of Sciences.     

A taxonomic study on Endotricha Zeller （Lepidoptera： Pyralidae： Pyralinae） in China

A checklist of 30 species ofEndotricha Zeller in China is presented in this paper. Six species （E. dumalis sp. nov., E. lunulata sp. nov. E. medogana sp. nov., E. nigra sp. nov., E. purpurata sp. nov. and E. simipunicea sp. nov.） are new to science and three （E. admirabilis Kirpichnikova, E. fuscobasalis Ragonot and E. valentis Kirpichnikova） are recorded for the first time in China. The adult features and genital structures of the new species are illustrated and a key to the Chinese species is given.     

短纹卷蛾属三中国新记录种记述（鳞翅目：卷蛾科：纹卷蛾族）

记述中国短纹卷蛾属Falseuncaria Obraztsov & Swatschek 3中国新记录种:灰短纹卷蛾F. degreyana (McLachlan, 1869)、斜短纹卷蛾F. lechriotoma Razowski,1970以及红缘短纹卷蛾 F. ruficiliana (Haworth, [1811]),并对其进行了详细描述。提供了成虫及外生殖器特征图,并给出了该属中国已知种的检索表及分布图。     

中国锈革菌属研究.5.采自云南的两个新记录种

报道了采自云南省的锈革菌属(Hymenochaete)2个中国新记录种,即长矛锈革菌(H. contiformis)和红边锈革菌(H. rufomarginata)。前者的主要特点是解剖结构中无皮层和菌丝层,刚毛长且孢子大; 后者的主要特点是子实层具大量的侧丝,刚毛和孢子较小。提供了这两个种的野外标本照片、显微结构绘图以及详细的形态学描述,并给出了云南省锈革菌属30个种的检索表。     

A STUDY ON CHINESE THECABIUS KOCH 1857, WITH DESCRIPTION OF NEW SUBGENUS,NEW SPECIES AND NEW SUBSPECIES (HOMOPTERA: PEMPHIGIDAE)1)

Abstract The present paper deals with the genus Thecabius Koch from China, including 3 subgenera, 9 species and 1 subspecies, among them 1 subgenus, 7 species and 1 subspecies are new to science. The key to the Chinese species of Thecabius is given. At the same time, we discuss the evolutionary relationship between Thecabius and other closely related genera. The specimens studied including the types are deposited in the Institute of. Zoology, Academia Sinica.     

A TAXONOMIC STUDY ON ASAPHES (HYMENOPTERA: PTEROMALIDAE) FROM CHINA,WITH DESCRIPTIONS OF FOUR NEW SPECIES*

Abstract This paper deals with six species of the pteromalid genus Asaphes from China, including four new species: Asaphes umbilicalis sp. nov., Asaphes globularis sp. nov., Asaphes siciformis sp. nov., and Asaphes oculi sp. nov. A key to the species based on the females is provided. The type specimens are deposited in the Zoological Museum, Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China.     

THE GENUS SYNTRETUS FORERSTER (HYMENOPTERA: BRACONDIDAE) FROM CHINA WITH DESCRIPTION OF A NEW SPECIES*

Abstract The species of the genus Syntretus Foerster form China are revised in this paper. Five species are recognized with one species, Syntretus longitergitus sp. nov., as new to science. A key to the Chinese species fo this genus is provided.     

DISCOVERY OF THE WORKER CASTE OF PLATY‐THYREA CLYPEATA FOREL AND A NEW SPECIES OF PROBOLOMYRMEX MAYR IN YUNNAN,CHINA (HYMENOPTERA: FORMICIDAE)*

Abstract The worker caste of the ant species Platythyrea clypeata Forel is discovered and described for the first time. The genus Platythyrea Roger and the species P. clypeata Forel are newly recorded in China. Two species of the genus Probolomyrmex Mayr are recorded in China: P. longinodus Terayama et Ogata from Taiwan Province, and P. longiscapus sp. nov. from Yunnan Province.     

中国长斑蚜属研究及新种记述(同翅目：斑蚜科)

该文系统研究了中国长斑蚜属Tinocallis Matsumura的15种蚜虫,其中包括:1个新种,短节长斑蚜T. microtylodes sp.nov.和2个中国新记录种,斑长斑蚜T.platani(Kaltenbach,1943)和木兰长斑蚜T. magnoliae Ghosh & Raychaudhuri,1972。同时提供了该属中国分布种类的检索表,每种提供有详细的寄主植物和地理分布资料,新种还提供了重要的形态特征图。所有标本包括模式标本均保存在中国科学院动物研究所。     

中国圆点小卷蛾属研究及一新种记述(鳞翅目,卷蛾科,小卷蛾亚科)(英文)

记述了我国圆点小卷蛾属EudemisHbner的种类,共4种,其中包括1新种:郑氏圆点小卷蛾E.zhengi sp.nov.。提供了分种检索表、新种的形态特征图和生殖器图。模式标本保存在南开大学昆虫标本室。郑氏圆点小卷蛾,新种Eudemis zhengi sp.nov.(图1~2)新种与杨梅圆点小卷蛾E.gyrotis(Meyrick)相似,但可通过下列特征区别:雄性外生殖器之颚形突中部的突起宽短,同时侧缘还具尖角状突起并被细齿,抱器瓣仅在抱器腹近基部具1簇刺丛;后者颚形突中部的突起长指状,侧缘无突起,抱器瓣腹缘具3簇刺丛,分别位于抱器腹基部和端部及抱器端基部2/5处。正模♂,云南勐腊补蚌(21°29′N,101°33′E;海拔650m),25Aug.2005,任应党采;玻片号YHL05159。词源:新种种名以郑哲民教授的姓氏命名,以示对郑先生在我国昆虫系统学研究领域做出显著贡献的敬意。
