Abstract:  The behavioural response of Brazilian apple leafroller males, Bonagota cranaodes (Meyrick), to natural and synthetic sex pheromone was studied in a wind tunnel. Calling females elicited upwind flights followed by landing and wingfanning at the source in 72% of the males tested. Female gland extracts, with the main compound ( E , Z )3,5dodecadienyl acetate released at 100 pg/min, attracted 57% of the males to the source. Few males (1%) were attracted to the main compound alone, released at the same rate. Even a synthetic blend of all five gland compounds eliciting an antennal response, formulated according to their proportion in female gland extracts, was barely attractive (7%). Comparison of this synthetic blend and female gland extracts indicates a behavioural role of other gland compounds. Male attraction was significantly increased (34%) in response to a 100 : 5 : 5 : 5-blend of the main compound and three minor gland compounds, ( Z )-5-dodecenyl acetate, ( E , Z )-3,5-tetradecadienyl acetate, and ( Z )-9-hexadecenyl acetate.  相似文献

Flight-tunnel experiments were conducted using Helicoverpa zea males to determine whether or not (Z)-11-hexadecen-1-ol (Z11-16:OH), a compound emitted by another heliothine moth species, Heliothis subflexa, is a behavioral antagonist when admixed with the two-component pheromone blend of H. zea. Males were less likely to fly upwind all the way to the source when 0.3% Z11-16:OH was present in the blend. Even 0.1% Z11-16:OH caused differences in the flight behavior of H. zea males; they steered more off the windline than males responding to the pheromone blend alone, resulting in more oblique track angles. Thus Z11-16:OH appears to act antagonistically, along with another compound, (Z)-11-hexadecen-1-ol acetate (Z11-16:Ac), when it is added to the H. zea pheromone blend.  相似文献

The behaviour of Grapholita molesta (Busck) (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) males was studied in overlapping sex pheromone plumes in a wind tunnel. The ultimate aim of the study was to assess the effect of different treatments on male behaviour and consider the observed changes within the context of the suggested mechanisms underlying mating disruption. Two baits were placed either in series or parallel using both synthetic pheromone blends and female extracts. One bait, the reference containing (Z)-8-dodecenyl acetate/(E)-8-dodecenyl acetate/(Z)-8-dodecenol in a ratio of 100/6/10 was kept constant at a dose of 100 g of the main component, giving a composition and a release rate close to that of a female. The dose of the other bait varied between 0.1 and 100 times the concentration of the reference and was a mixture of one, two or three pheromone components. Males clearly discriminated between different blends and doses in the overlapping plumes, for regardless if the lures were presented in series or in parallel they followed the complete plume. Complete suppression of the response to the reference was only achieved with 300 g of the optimal three-component blend on the other lure. When tested singly, a bait consisting of Z8-12:OAc/E8-12:OAc/Z8-12:O Hin a 100/0.2/0.4 ratio, attracted a high proportion of the males when placed 75 cm upwind of the male release site, but no males from 150 cm. Our data suggest that complete pheromone blends should be more effective than any incomplete blends in mating disruption formulations for G. molesta.  相似文献

研究了小地老虎中国种群的性信息素组分,3日龄处女蛾单腺体性信息素提取物中性信息素的含量非常低。GC和GC-MS分析表明,小地老虎性信息素含有5种成分:顺-7-12碳乙酸酯(A)、顺-9-14碳乙酸酯(B)、顺-11-16碳乙酸酯(C)、顺-5-10碳乙酸酯(D)和顺-8-12碳乙酸酯(E)。它们的含量分别为:(0.245±0.098)、(0.080±0.031)、(0.089±0.03)、(0.085±0.031)和 (0.105±0.065)ng, 这5种物质的百分比分别为40.451±13.66、13.176±5.279、14.943±5.142、14.392±6.10和17.225±9.792,前3种物质的百分比为58.75±9.429、18.91±7.539和22.34±7.209。田间试验表明,性信息素单一组分均未诱到雄蛾,AB以3∶1的比例配成的诱芯对雄蛾有一定的引诱活性,一个诱捕器平均诱捕到2.6头。ABC组分以3∶1∶1的比例配成的诱芯对雄蛾引诱活性显著增强,一个诱捕器平均诱捕量为7.40头,是AB(3∶1)诱芯的2.8倍。诱芯中性信息素的含量对诱蛾活性有明显的影响,在剂量为200 µg时的平均诱捕量最高。  相似文献

Abstract. In addition to the pheromone components (Z)-5-decenyl, (Z)-7-dodecenyl and (Z)-9-tetradecenyl acetate (Z5-10:OAc, Z7-12:OAc and Z9-14:OAc), it has previously been shown that the sex pheromone gland of the turnip moth, Agrotis segetum (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae Schiff) contains 10:OAc, 12:OAc, Z5-12:OAc, Z9-12:OAc, 11–12:OAc, Z5-14:OAc, Z7-14:OAc and Z11-16:OAc. To find out whether any of these additional compounds is involved in the sex pheromone communication in A. segetum, a comprehensive electro-physiological and behavioural investigation was conducted. Single-sensillum recordings on male antennae revealed three subtypes of sensilla among the previously so-called Z5-10:OAc sensilla. One subtype was identified having one receptor neurone (A) that responded to Z5-10:OAc with a large spike amplitude and another neurone (B) that responded to (Z)-5-decenol (Z5-10:OH) with a small spike amplitude. In another subtype the B neurone responded to Z5-12:OAc and sometimes also to 27-12:OAc and 10:OAc, in addition to responding to Z5-10:OH. In a third subtype the A neurone responded to all acetates identified from the female pheromone gland, whereas the small spike amplitude neurone was tuned to Z5-10:OH. A flight tunnel assay showed that blends composed of nine, eight or seven compounds were equivalent to the previously identified three-component pheromone blend in eliciting male behavioural responses. In field trapping tests, blends of eleven, nine or seven compounds did, however, catch significantly more moths than the three-component blend. Further assays showed that only 25- 12:OAc could significantly increase the catch numbers when added to the three-component blend, and thus qualified as a fourth pheromone component in A. segerum. The behavioural significance of additional female-produced acetates — for which males possess antennal receptors — is suggested, but may be impossible to confirm because of ‘diminishing returns’ when trying to refine a multicomponent pheromone further.  相似文献

Interneurons with dendritic branches in the antennal lobe of the male turnip moth, Agrotis segetum (Schiff., Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), were investigated with intracellular recording and staining methods. Seventeen projection neurons that transmit information from the antennal lobe to higher centers in the brain displayed dendritic arbors in the male specific macroglomerular complex (MGC) and responded to chemical components of the female sex pheromone used in species-specific sexual communication. Most of the projection neurons responded to several of the pheromone components tested, and a precise correlation between the location of the dendritic arborization and the physiological response could not be demonstrated. One MGC-projection neuron fit the definition of blend specialist. It did not respond to the individual components of the behaviorally active pheromone blend, but showed a strong response to the components when combined in the species-specific blend. Some of the projection neurons also showed clear responses to phenylacetaldehyde, a flower-produced compound and/or to (E)-2-hexenal, a common green-leaf volatile. In eight neurons, the axonal projection could be followed to the calyces of the mushroom body, and subsequently to the inferior lateral protocerebrum.Four local interneurons were characterized both morphologically and physiologically. Each neuron arborized extensively throughout the antennal lobe, and each responded to one or several of the pheromone compounds, and/or to one or both of the plant-produced compounds. Virgin females of M. confusa, A. peponis, and C. eriosoma secrete (Z)-7-dodecenyl acetate as a common main pheromone component. Their pheromone titers decreased after decapitation, and increased in the decapitated females after injection of a synthetic hormone, pheromone biosynthetic activating neuropeptide (PBAN) of Bombyx mori. In addition, an extract of brain-subesophageal ganglion complexes of each Plusiinae species activated pheromone biosynthesis in decapitated females of not only the corresponding species, but also that of Mamestra brassicae. These results indicate that pheromone biosynthesis of the three Plusiinae species is also controlled by a PBAN-like substance. However, the Plusiinae females exceptionally contained remarkable amounts of the pheromone even 1 day after decapitation. Since it has been reported that pheromones completely disappear at least 1 day after decapitation in females of many other lepdidoptran species including B. mori and M. brassicae, a different mechanism is likely regarding the regulation of the studied Plusiinae pheromone biosynthesis. Furthermore, an incorporation experiment with a labeled pheromone precursor, D9-(Z)-7-dodecenoic acid, showed that moderate biosynthesis still proceeded in the pheromone glands of M. confusa females 1 day after decapitation, providing an evidence why complete disappearance of the pheromone was not observed in the females which otherwise lacked a source of the pheromonotropic neuropeptide.  相似文献

Athetis lepigone has been recorded in many countries in Europe and Asia, but it had never been documented as an agricultural pest until 2005. For the purpose of using the sex pheromone to control this pest, we conducted a study to identify the sex pheromone of A. lepigone by gas chromatography with an electroantennographic detector (GC‐EAD) and GC coupled with mass spectrometry (GC/MS) analyses. Three pheromone candidates were detected by GC‐EAD analysis in the extracts of the female sex pheromone gland, and two candidates were identified as (Z)‐7‐dodecenyl acetate (Z7‐12:OAc) and (Z)‐9‐tetradecenyl acetate (Z9‐14:OAc) in a ratio of 1:5 by mass spectral analysis of natural pheromone components and dimethyl disulphide adducts. In the field male trapping test, the traps baited with the binary blend captured high number of males, while traps with single component hardly caught males, indicating that the two components are essential for the male attractiveness. In addition, the optimum ratios of Z7‐12:OAc and Z9‐14:OAc were determined as 3:7–7:3, and the best doses for the binary blend (at ratio of 3:7 between Z7‐12:OAc and Z9‐14:OAc) were 0.25–0.5 mg/trap, based on the number of male catches. The identification of a highly attractive sex pheromone will help in developing efficient strategies for monitoring and control of A. lepigone.  相似文献

The electrical activity of single olfactory receptor neurons in male soybean looper (SBL) Pseudoplusia includens(Walker) and cabbage looper (CL) Trihoplusia ni(Hübner) moths was evaluated in response to stimulation with fixed amounts of the individual components of their respective pheromone blends. In common with earlier observations in the CL, there are at least two classes of morphologically distinct pheromone sensitive sensilla on the antenna of male SBL, each of which contains two olfactory receptor neurons. In both species, one class of sensilla contains an olfactory receptor neuron sensitive to (Z)-7-dodecen-1-ol acetate (Z-7, 12:AC), the major component in each insect's blend, and a companion receptor neuron which is sensitive to (Z)-7-dodecen-1-ol (Z7,12: OH). In both species the second class of sensilla contains an olfactory receptor neuron which is sensitive to one of the minor components of the pheromone blend. (Z)-5-dodecen-1-ol acetate (Z-5,12:AC) is an effective stimulus in SBL, whereas (Z)-7-tetradecen-1-ol acetate (Z-7,14:AC) is an effective stimulus in CL. However, these two stimulatory compounds have been identified only in the female CL gland; neither has been found in the SBL gland. Thus, in contrast to the CL, which has receptor neurons which are responsive exclusively to conspecific pheromone components, the SBL has a class of receptor neurons which is responsive to a minor component of another species' pheromone blend. Field-trapping assays in which Z-5,12:AC is added to the SBL blend suggest that this single CL component is a powerful inhibitor of male SBL behavioral responses to conspecific pheromone blends. The difference observed in the specificity of the receptor neurons in this second class of sensilla are thus believed to play an integral role in the isolation processes that are maintained between these two species and may well account for the observed behavioral differences in their responses to heterospecific pheromone blends.  相似文献

Pheromone production in the female turnip moth, Agrotis segetum, is under the control of a brain factor. This factor was demonstrated to be a proteinaceous substance termed pheromone biosynthesis activating neuropeptide-like substance (PBAN-like substance). The sex pheromone of Swedish A. segetum includes (Z)-5-decenyl acetate, (Z)-7-dodecenyl acetate, and (Z)-9-tetradecenyl acetate as major components. Decapitation of a female decreased pheromone production significantly. Pheromone production was restored by injection of homogenates of either male or female brain-suboesophageal ganglion or the corpora cardiaca alone. Pheromonotropic activity was also found in homogenates of the female thoracic ganglion and abdominal ganglion that were obtained during scotophase. Injection of female brain and thoracic ganglion homogenates made from insects during the scotophase induced two and four times as much Z7-12:OAc, respectively, as injection with similar homogenates from photophase. As little as one-eighth female equivalent (FE) brain homogenate was sufficient to increase the amount of Z7-12:OAc. The effect of brain homogenate on pheromone titer reached its maximum after 30 min. The activity of the PBAN-like substance present in female brain extracts was not correlated to the age of the donor. Injection of hemolymph collected during either photophase or scotophase into decapitated females did not increase the pheromone titer. The target site of the PBAN-like substance was not the pheromone gland, and the ventral nerve cord was not involved in the transportation of the PBAN-like substance, which implies a mode of action different from what has been reported in other moths. Brain homogenates obtained during photophase from females of African A. segetum, Spodoptera littoralis, or Ostrinia nubilalis as well as synthetic Bombyx-PBAN also induced pheromone production in decapitated Swedish female A. segetum. © 1995 Wiley-Liss, Inc.  相似文献

Abstract The sex attractant of the female redbanded leafroller moth, Argyrotaenia velutinana (Walker), is a blend of seven compounds. Specialized olfactory receptor neurones had been found for only two of the compounds, (Z)-11-tetradecenyl acetate (Z11-14:Ac) and (E)-11-tetradecenyl acetate (E11–14:Ac). These receptor neurones were always found in pairs within the long trichoid sensilla, which are the most abundant multi-pored sensilla on the male antenna. A systematic survey of all regions of the male antenna with standard extracellular recording techniques was undertaken to find receptor neurones responsive to the remaining five minor components of the female pheromone. Of the 113 long trichoid sensilla sampled, all contained two receptor neurones, one specialized for Z11–14:Ac and a second specialized for Ell –14:Ac. A comparable number of recordings were then obtained from the less abundant classes of multi-pored sensilla. Two new receptor neurone types were found, responsive to the minor pheromone components (E)-9-dodecenyl acetate (E9-12:Ac) and (Z)-9-dodecenyl acetate (Z9-12:Ac). Scanning electron micrographs indicated that these recordings were obtained from shorter, narrower trichoid sensilla. The majority of these sensilla appeared to contain three neurones capable of spontaneous action potential production. In each sensillum, only one receptor neurone appeared to respond to stimulation with a minor component of the female blend. The remaining two neurones did not respond to the chemical stimuli evaluated.  相似文献

Female Asian elephants (Elephas maximus) release a pre-ovulatory urinary pheromone, (Z)-7-dodecenyl acetate (Z7--12:Ac), to signal males of their readiness to mate. Z7--12:Ac is quantitatively elevated during the follicular stage of estrus, reaching maximum concentrations just prior to ovulation, as demonstrated by two complementary headspace techniques: (i) evacuated canister capture followed by cryogenic trapping; (ii) solid phase microextraction (SPME), used prior to gas chromatography/ mass spectrometry (GC/MS). These patterns were coincident with observed male behaviors and were consistent with biochemical and binding properties of the active ligand, including optimal binding pH. To release maximum amounts of Z7--12:Ac for quantitation, serum and urine samples from three mature female Asian elephants in their luteal and follicular stages of several estrous cycles were subjected to heat and pH changes and were then treated with protease prior to SPME-GC/MS analyses. When the post-luteal serum progesterone concentrations declined to baseline levels, Z7--12:Ac became detectable in the female urine. Throughout the follicular stage pheromone concentrations increased linearly with no apparent relationship to the two serum luteinizing hormone peaks. Pre-ovulatory urine also contained related compounds, including (Z)-7--12-dodecenol. The relative amount of this alcohol increased relative to acetate during long-term storage, with a proportional reduction in bioactivity. Z7--12:Ac was not detected in mucus samples from the urogenital tract. A potential precursor of Z7--12:Ac was identified in liver homogenates from female elephants in the follicular stage.  相似文献

Analysis of sex pheromone glands of the apple leafroller Bonagota cranaodes Meyrick by gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry or electroantennographic detection showed the presence of 14 structurally related acetates and alcohols of the chain length 10-18, including the main pheromone component (E,Z)-3,5-dodecadienyl acetate (E3,Z5-12Ac). Male antennae responded to the main compound, its Z,Z isomer, (E,Z) -3,5-tetradecadienyl acetate (E3,Z5-14Ac), and the monoenes (Z)-5-dodecenyl acetate (Z5-12Ac) and (Z)-9-hexadecenyl acetate (Z9-16Ac). Traps baited with a four-component blend of E3,Z5-12Ac, Z5-12Ac, E3,Z5-14Ac, and Z9-16Ac in a 100:5:5:100 ratio were significantly more attractive than the main compound alone. This improved trap lure is more suitable for monitoring population densities of B. cranaodes, and for detection of the onset of the seasonal flight period. A more complete pheromone blend is of importance also with respect to current attempts to develop mating disruption for control of this major pest of apple in Brazil.  相似文献

As the ratio of (E)-8-dodecenyl acetate (E8–12Ac) to (Z)-8-dodecenyl acetate (Z8–12Ac) increased past optimal low levels in the pheromone blend, fewer males were able to fly 2.5 m upwind to the source. The tracks of males that flew in plumes of such high-(E)off-blends were slower and narrower than those of males flying to lower-(E)blends. The tracks were narrower, first of all, because as the proportion of E8–12Ac increased, the males steered more into the wind. More of their thrust was directed upwind and therefore their groundspeed to either side of the windline was reduced. In addition, males also reduced their airspeeds to high-(E)blends, which contributed to the decreased groundspeeds and narrower tracks. No significant changes in the frequency of counterturning were found in response to increasing proportions of E8–12Ac. The inability to continue upwind flight in a plume of an off ratio was indicated by in-flight arrestment in the plume. Arrestment resulted from changes in the course angles steered by the males and the airspeeds flown.  相似文献

Behavioral responses of maleSpodoptera litura to the female sex pheromone components, (Z, E)-9, 11-tetradecadienyl acetate (compound A) and (Z, E)-9, 12-tetradecadienyl acetate (compound B), and mixtures of compounds A and B were analyzed in the laboratory. Male orientation flight in a wind tunnel was induced by a lure dispenser onto which 1.1×10−3 ng of a mixture (A∶B=10∶1) was absorbed, while 1 ng of compound A was required to induced the same level of behavior. The blend ratio was important for trap catch and orientation flight of males and a 10∶1 mixture of compounds A and B was most effective. A mixture (10∶1) was more effective than compound A alone in induction of movement, walking, and flying in resting males in a glass tube. These results indicated that 2 sex pheromone components act as a set from the initial to final steps of male attraction to female.  相似文献

ABSTRACT. A pre-exposure regime was developed to test the hypothesis that arrestment of in-flight behaviour in Oriental fruit moths, Grapholitha molesta (Busck), to high dosage and/or high %( E )-8-dodecenyl acetate blends was due to a high proportion of E8-12: Ac in the pheromone blend. When tested in a sustained-flight tunnel to various ratios of ( Z )- and ( E )-8-dodecenyl acetate plus a constant % of Z8-12: OH at two dosages (3 and 100μg), males displayed an optimum number of completed flights to the source to the natural 6% E blend at 3 μg, with significant decreases in response levels occurring to high % E blends at both dosages. Pre-exposure of males to E8-12: Ac alone enhanced their response at each dosage to selected higher % E blends that normally elicited low numbers of completed flights. Pre-exposure enhanced all aspects of the flight response, but this was dependent on both dosage and duration of pre-exposure, with later behaviours in the sequence (landing and hairpencil display) requiring greater amounts of pre-exposure than early behaviour (taking flight). Pre-exposure did not affect high response levels to optimal blends or low response levels to the highest or lowest blends tested at each dosage. The selective nature of the pre-exposure effect implied alteration of central processes in discrimination of blend rather than disturbance of olfactory receptor function.  相似文献

草地贪夜蛾Spodoptera frugiperda原产于美洲,具有长距离迁飞特性。该虫于1988年入侵欧洲,2016年入侵非洲,并引起巨大的粮食损失,2018年入侵亚洲,2019年从缅甸传入中国,并在短时间扩散至全国10多个省。草地贪夜蛾依赖性信息素通讯,实现雌雄间识别、交配和繁衍,为了深入研究草地贪夜蛾的性信息素通讯及其机制并开发更高效的预测预报和防治技术,本文综述了草地贪夜蛾性信息素通讯的研究现状。1967年首次报道草地贪夜蛾性信息素为顺9-十四乙酸酯,随后发现有不同的鉴定结果,1986年确认其性信息素由顺9-十四乙酸酯和顺7-十二乙酸酯两个组分组成,其比例为96.6∶3.4时表现出最强的引诱活性。除此而外,对不同地理种群的研究发现,草地贪夜蛾雌蛾的信息素腺体提取物还存在顺9-十二乙酸酯、顺11-十六乙酸酯和反7-十二乙酸酯,田间实验表明这些物质在性信息素通讯中也可发挥作用。根据分子标记和喜食寄主,草地贪夜蛾可分为玉米品系和水稻品系。两个品系在外部形态上无法区分,性信息素组分也相同,但在组分比例上存在一定的差异。两个品系间存在一定程度的生殖隔离,但室内可以正交和反交并产生可育的F1代,F1代的性信息素比例与母本的比较相似。关于草地贪夜蛾雄性对性信息素的感受机制方面研究较少,仅见有感器形态的鉴定和对性信息素组分的触角电位反应研究的报道。根据目前草地贪夜蛾在我国的发生情况及其性信息素通讯机制的研究现状,我们建议尽快开展以下研究:(1)鉴定草地贪夜蛾我国入侵种群的雌性性信息素,尽快用于其种群动态监测及防治;(2)研究草地贪夜蛾雄性对性信息素的嗅觉编码机制;(3)研究草地贪夜蛾两个品系的行为隔离程度及其演化结局。  相似文献

Male black cutworm moths (Agrotis ipsilon, Lepidoptera, Noctuoidea, Noctuidae), which are attracted by a three-component pheromone blend ((Z)-7-dodecenyl acetate, Z7-12:Ac; (Z)-9-tetradecenyl acetate, Z9-14:Ac; (Z)-11-hexadecenyl acetate, Z11-16:Ac), express diverse antennal pheromone binding proteins (PBPs). Two PBP isoforms (Aips-1 and Aips-2) that show 46% identity were cloned from antennal cDNA of male A. ipsilon. The protein Aips-1 displays a high degree of identity (70-95%) with PBPs of other noctuiids, but shows only 42-65% identity with the PBPs of more phylogenetically distant species. The other protein, Aips-2, represents a distinct group of PBP that includes proteins from Sphingidae and Yponomeutidae. These differences observed suggest that each of the two PBPs may be tuned to a specific pheromone ligand.  相似文献

Responses from pheromone‐specific receptor neurones in male Agrotis segetum (Denis & Schiffermüller) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) were recorded in a laboratory wind tunnel. Stimuli were: (1) rubber septum dispensers loaded with single components or a four‐component pheromone blend, (2) excised glands from female A. segetum, (3) constrained A. segetum females with extruded glands. Dose–response curves for three neurone‐types with different specificity were established. The neurones were specifically tuned to respond to either one of the two pheromone components (Z)‐5‐decenyl acetate and (Z)‐7‐dodecenyl acetate, or to the behavioural antagonist (Z)‐5‐decenol. In parallel, a behavioural dose–response curve with males flying upwind to a four‐component pheromone blend was established. The fall armyworm (FAW), Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), is one of the most important insect pests of corn, sorghum, rice, and grasses. The sex pheromone produced by S. frugiperda is composed of a mixture of esters. In this study, I determined the antennal responses of FAW males from 22 populations in Mexico to the components of the sex pheromone of this species: (Z)-7-dodecenyl acetate (Z7-12:OAc), (Z)-9-tetradecenyl acetate (Z9-14:OAc), and (Z)-11-hexadecenyl acetate (Z11-16:OAc) at four doses (0.01, 0.1, 1, and 10 μg). In addition, I evaluated the behavioural activity of single compounds in the field. The largest antennal responses of FAW males from all the sampled regions were elicited by Z9-14:OAc (all doses evaluated) and Z7-12:OAc (0.01, 0.1, and 1 μg). The male antennal responses evoked by Z11-16:OAc were smaller but similar to responses to Z7-12:OAc at lower doses (0.01 and 0.1 μg). In the field test, Z9-14:OAc produced significantly higher captures of S. frugiperda males compared to Z7-12:AOc and Z11-16:OAc. Antennal responses were related to captures obtained in the field, supported by the positive correlation of these variables [electroantennography (EAG) response and behaviour], with the exception of Z7-12:OAc, which elicited relatively large EAG responses but did not produce high captures of S. frugiperda. These results are of importance to agriculture, enabling the implementation of better methods of monitoring and controlling this pest, and support the suggestion that a mixture of Z9-14:OAc and Z7-12:OAc could represent an effective attractant for all evaluated populations of S. frugiperda in Mexico.  相似文献
